Not happy with the shapes/color. Thought she wouldve used a base coat prior to applying the glitter to make sure It wasn't see-through. All nails are different length, shapes and are uneven. I've been debating writing this review, but I think it's finally time. I went in on Saturday 1/25 to get a manicure. I decided on a gel manicure for the reason being that it last longer. Or so I thought. I woke up sunday 1/26 to my thumb & index finger being really badly chipped. So I decided on going in Monday spoke to the woman at the front and said they would fix. I really appreciated it so I sat down and had them fixed. Went home and later in the evening looked down at my nails and saw that now my middle finger nail was chipped. I honestly don't do drastic things during the day for the nails to start chipping. Its a big inconvenience for me to have to go in another time and show them my nails. I am a stay at home mom so I can't be dropping things to go fix my nails. Hope this gets fixed. Definitely won't be going back this was my 2nd time going. The 1st time I went in for a pedicure for my beach vacation. And the polish ended up coming off even before I left. Its upsetting so I hope they fix it somehow. Update: it's been exactly a week so I'll post pictures of the gel manicure I got. read more

What a gem!! I've literally been to almost every salon in Modesto (several NT, David, Lavish). I am extremely particular on shaping and I only get gel x; have been for over 2 years. Before I found Venetian, I would go to The Bay. Terry is amazing!!! He always does an amazing job and is always my go to. Great attention to detail, shapes them exactly the way I want them and places the tips all the way back, unlike other places where it looks like you need a new set in less than a week. Don't wait for customers to ask, be upfront so there are no surprises during checkout. I was under the assumption my full set was going to cost me ~$60 and I was told $90 at checkout with a stern look without accommodation on the price due to confusion. I had a very nice time here at the Venetian Nail Spa. The deluxe pedicure was extremely relaxing with different peels, creams, and even a hot stone rub. The nail technician was nice. The salon itself feels impeccably clean and the I know that's a hard thing to do with white tiles. I dropped my hat on the floor and don't bother to pick it up until after the treatment because of this. The other techs and receptionist appeared super friendly. They promptly check you in and get you situated. I opted for the jelly pedicure with gel and a full set. The pedicure was wonderful and relaxing. Did not feel rushed at all. I got a full set with pink and white. They listened to what I wanted preference wise and got an absolutely perfect set. I decided to write this review because in need my nails done again. So write this late cause I'm still upset about it. I have been getting my nails done since they're $12 for a fill (good ol' days. I got my nail fill and pedicure approximately 3 weeks ago. It was $120 approx I have never in my life paid that much for a fill with gel polish on my hands and regular polish on toes. The gel paint started to bubble and peel a week later. I'm so not girly I honestly only get my nails done because I bite my fingernails. I can my nail's done and not get a fill for 4-5 weeks (yea that's long) but I have not had an issue like this in a while. I don't know what pedicures if they're supposed to massage your feet but every time I've gotten a pedicure, they massage my feet and my calves, seriously my skin on my calves felt like it gonna get peeled off when the person was rubbing it. I still don't believe they charge $5 to cut the nails but if u say no to the cut they want $5 because of the length make that make sense. I honestly thought nails salons changed to gel for all polish. In guess I was used to the city in lived before April all the salons didn't charge for gel because it is so popular. My friends thought I was a fool for paying that amount for not being satisfied. $120 wow that's the same price I pay for my braids aka fake hair braids done. Idk highway robbery. I've been here twice and I really liked what I got the first time. That first pedicure lasted me a while and I only came back after a month to get another pedicure since it grew out. There was no chipping. Yesterday, I went to get my second pedicure and I really liked how it turned out. However, today, it has already started chipping:( In the morning, I hit my toe very lightly against something and it chipped, so I understand that was my fault. Later though, I went swimming for under 20 minutes and chipping has started on my other foot unfortunately. I'm kind of disappointed in that because it was pretty pricey for me. My first service was a pedicure, my technician was lovely and personable she made me feel comfortable without a lot of excess chatter with the other employees. I have been back two more times for acrylic nails, pedicure and eyebrow waxing prior to writing this review and my treatment has been consistent. I received a premium pedicure with regular nail polish (green tea option) by Mar yesterday and had a great experience. Mar was a great nail tech and provided great service and was very friendly and nice. The facility is beautiful and very clean. I was offered water, coffee or soda twice during my service. my gel pedicure was lifting and smudged within hours. I have never experienced this from a gel pedicure!! I paid $65 and a $10 tip and when I walked in the first time the lady was kinda rude so I should have took that as a red flag. I called same day about the issue and they said they would fix it. upon arrival she asks to see them as if I was lying and then when I asked for a different color so I wouldn't have to come back for this same issue I was told I would have to pay.
