Went here for my birthday and Daniel and Jessica did an amazing job with my flame design. I brought a picture and they matched it very well. My friend used Tonya and she was equally as good! A very friendly and accommodating staff. Covid precautions were great - they have you wash your hands immediately when you arrive and take your temperature. I really really wanted to like this place. I live in Legacy West and this would be super convenient. So I came in for a full set. I get longer stiletto nails and like thicker. (Understand a little more cost) I train and also work in beauty business. First of all there is a 4.00 fee for cleaning. Shouldn't they be doing this anyway?? I also work in salon and would never charge my clients any extra! In fact I'm grateful they chose to come back. Plus I already clean and sanitize between each client. A few days later I have cracks and they break. And the ones that are on nail bed. Where it bleeds and super painful. So far I have had 3 bad breaks. What makes worse for me is I spent 86.00 on these. I have never paid that much unless I got extra. I got no design. Just one color. It would have been 90 but they forgot to charge me the 4.00. I didn't want to write this review but as I come in for my 3 fix the lady at front was rude! I explained I have to come in. Take off from things I need to do and I am out more $$$. I do tip and they didn't charge me for fixing. Thank gawd. So as of now in two weeks I have been here 4 times and total cost of 110.00. The girl that did my nails was kind. I did like shape. But constant breaking and the experience with front desk has been awful and challenging for the amount of $ I spent. Less than 24 hours two new breaks! And the front desk lady (I think Jessica the manager) told me they wouldn't fix anymore! She didn't like my honest review. This is just so sad someone like this can represent a business. I have never had a bad experience like this. And treated so poorly for it. As expected managers response is blaming me. I have had to come back 3 times for fixes. It's been two weeks. I am willing to post my receipt as I paid with CC. I have to take time off from my job as being in this business if I am not at work I am not making $ to provide for my family.... The nail length is consistent, the shape is somewhat the same; however, Nina messed up at least 2 nails at the very end because she didn't wait long enough for them to dry I only noticed later when I was home. Pretty disappointed. I don't expect above and beyond these days being all of the trends going on with the nail salons lately. However, it's been a very rough holiday and a friend gifted me a nail day. I did select the basic pedicure, which anyone that is a regular nail salon goer will understand that you don't get as much nor as long of time compared to the other selections. However, I knew for a fact, it included cuticles, and when I brought it to her attention, she blamed it on me taking so long to pick my color and that she had already done them. Because she was already on the gel part. I know for a fact, if she did them, she did very very little. And certainly not around the entire nails. Because the gel was applied very sloppy. She had to clean the edges a lot & then looking closer the nails were trimmed slanted at angles so clearly not straight. When I mentioned the polish also wasn't even covering the whole nails she added another coat so now it is thick and again- any regular salon goer will know that it's probably not going to last long now either. For being in legacy west and a high end area & pricing... this was very disappointing. The mani was much better but still felt extremely rushed and the results show. I can't deal with that because it's at least better. I mentioned it at the front and they were nice but nothing really done other than asking me to email the management later with pics. I don't mind doing that but I probably still won't be back. That's outrageous pricing for the lack of quality and time given. read more

Jenny(nail artist) left me without excuse for a while bring her phone (about 10 minuets) when my nails was lapped with acetone. The shape of nails are un even and length are all different. The polishing job was poor too. Maybe because of old nail polish or her bad technique. I can see lots of bubbles on the surface and poor side polishing job. And the counter receptionist didn't ask me any waters or drinks. (Outside is over 108 degree) except me!! I was really thirsty. There is free drinks bar. She asked everyone, any drinks except me. This was such a great experience especially since it was our first mani pedi since social distancing took place . Myself , my two daughters and my daughters bestie arrived around 1 pm. We had made appointments as they are appointment only. We were greeted and told to immediately wash our hands. Each station was set up to guarantee social distancing. We were then told to sign in and our temps taken. We first received our pedis which was Heaven! I swear my feet came off my body and gave my person a hug. Where do I start?! The customer service here is impressive and even keeled. David (Manager) always communicates effectively and goes above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied with your service. Hana's name was mentioned in multiple reviews which was why I requested her and she fulfilled every expectation. Her skill is precise and if you know EXACTLY what you want she can deliver. I'm not finicky or picky but I do know EXACTLY how I prefer my nail shaped. Once Hana wasn't available and Tim was able to do them instead...just as great! My husband moved close by and tried Venetian a couple times hoping it was our new nail place. We had two bad experiences and there wasn't a manager available to help. The second visit I asked to be called back when the manager did arrive and received no call. We find the technicians to be bored and rude. On our last visit, there was an extremely loud customer on a business call directly behind us. We asked to be moved and were told no. I was doing self care after a grueling three day shift yet, I found myself in someone else's office and on an over an hour long conference call. if you desire kindness, professionalism, and serenity, this isn't the place. read more

My mom and I have been coming to this nail salon on and off for a few years, popped in today to get manicures and the lady(elderly woman) that did my moms manicure did not know how to do a proper manicure. She didn't push the cuticles back, put on ANY cuticle oil, or give a proper massage. We didn't get the classic manicure, so a decent massage would have been nice. She also was horrible at painting. She had to wipe off the polish and re do it but they still do not look good. The girl that did my nails was amazing. I went in with my family to get our nails done. We don't live in Dallas so we called ahead of time to make an appointment. We scheduled for Sunday 5:30 (as they suggested as an available time). The entire time every tech kept looking at their watch to leave. Our nails were left thick and bulky and everyone hated it. They were so rough in filing and got my skin SEVERAL TIMES! It was the worst experience in the entire history of me getting my nails done. I was so relieved when they got done. The pedicure was also horrible. Definitely my last time here. First 100 people got their choice of a free manicure or pedicure! The grand opening was commemorated with a festive Chinese lion dance, lots of confetti, and friendly staff members handing out little bottles of water. However, this was the end of my positive experience with Venetian. My sister and I waited over an hour in line while it was pouring rain - granted there was covering but the wind didn't help. One of the employees came around to update everyone about their wait time and even told us that being one of the first 100 customers with a card guaranteed us the mani/pedi and we could come back at any time but would have to wait at the end of the line. This seemed like a very reasonable offer given the weather and how slow the line seemed to be moving despite having 25 nail techs. I soon discovered that he was telling certain customers in line and some who weren't even in line that an "exception" would be made for them. One of these customers was dressed completely in designer brands and very obviously had money, which just makes this company seem very profit driven - also evident by their low quality manicures discussed later. This happened with so soo many people that many customers in line began taking notice and were visibly upset. I know I was definitely upset because I trusted that my wait time was going to be 20 minutes and ended up missing an appointment that I thought I would have enough time to get to. The actual manicure was very rushed and low quality overall - I think I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. My nail tech piled on layers of nail polish without allowing the previous layer any time to dry. There are little fans built into the tables, which she never turned on for me. I only discovered them after getting my nails redone by a different tech after asking if the manicure I had received was indicative of a full-service manicure I would receive if I were paying for it normally; what I got was what I was told I should expect to get if I came in any other time. My original tech only buffed the tops of my nails and only applied to the tops of my nails. When I asked her if she was going to paint the sides as well, she replied that she didn't see that she missed those parts. The shade of light blue I picked out was very light and definitely needed 3 coats, which she only did after I requested another layer after the second one. You could very visibly see at the edges of the polish where one layer started and one ended because it was such an inconsistent job. I had the same issue even after the second nail tech redid my nails. The polish on the tips and cuticle of my nails were a bit jagged and overall just not a professional job. The staff was still very kind though and have a "customer is always right" mentality, so they were very willing to redo my nails. However, I think the company should have spent more money training their nail techs instead of putting all of their funds into decorating. read more

Unfortunately, I'll never return to Venetian Nail Spa after being a loyal customer for years since they first opened. Now that it's under new management, Venetian Nail Spa has gone down to nothing. I brought my mom with me to get a mani-pedi last week and my mom chose to get the Ombré dip nails, which were $60. The next day, one of her nails popped completely off and she had to go back in to get the nail fixed. Then, the next day, 4 more of her nails popped off. We called and spoke to Jessica, the manager, explaining that this never happens at other nail spas and asked for a refund, and Jessica was extremely ugly to us and started getting sarcastic saying that I should know their policy and they never do refunds, but my mom could come back in for a third time to have the nails fixed. Well, after going in twice for the same manicure, my mom doesn't want to go in a third time, and I don't blame her because I wouldn't either. Jessica also told my mom it was common sense that the nail tech should have buffed her nails for the nails not to pop off as if it was my mom's fault as to why she paid for a service that turned bad. Jessica was so rude that she said she was busy and didn't have time to keep hearing us say the same thing over and over again, which we weren't even repeating ourselves. Regardless of their policy, I find Jessica's attitude to be completely unacceptable for a manager. I told her I won't be returning and she said "fine, goodbye" and hung up. I will never return. There are way too many nail spas to drive out of my way to come to this one to be mistreated and spoken to badly. read more

I thought I finally found my nail place after moving to the Frisco area. I love how the technicians work. I found my favorite person who understood exactly how I like my nails. I always make appts going in and most of the time with a 10 min delay at the most I get seen. Last time I was there for a 12pm appt , which I rushed in for to make sure I make in time. I was asked to sit and wait for Coco as she was running late. 12:15 rolls around and I asked the front desk how much longer it would be and if someone could at least get started on my nails to get the powder off since I had another engagement and had to leave at 1pm. The front desk barely lifted her head up and said "she's running late and no one else can start on your nails but you will get out of here by 1 " I asked her to ask and let me know please . She did not get up to ask and I sat there until 12:30 with no updates. I go up to the front desk again and now frustrated I asked why do I make an appt and not get seen for 30 mins after . Her words literally were "what do you want me to do as I said she's running late" I asked for a manager that was not "available " and walked out of there. I usually go to the Venetian at Preston Hollow (which I highly recommend), but I was meeting a friend in Plano so we decided on this one. The technician cut the nail extension without asking my preferred length and then argued with me when I stated I had wanted something longer. She was entirely silent the rest of the appointment until the end when she said "see isn't this prettier?" As the client, no. It was not prettier. She also added the wrong color dip to my nails, but I didn't have time to have them take it all off and restarted so now I have nails that are too short and the wrong color. I got the gel-X on my nails and I really liked it initially. After two weeks the nails starting popping off. I could not come to the salon because I was not in town. I explained that they popped off within two weeks. I told them this had never happened before and they started talking in their language. I was then told I had to pay for a new set because I came the 13th day. I think they later decided not to do my nails because they would always tell me the two people who did gel- X weren't available. I also think they blocked me.
