Our reservations were for 7:00 pm and arrived at 6:40. We got bread and water right away but didn't even see our waitress until 7:20. Since we had been here so long we already knew what we wanted to eat. Once ordered she had to come back 2x to verify our order. Smh. My wife and I ordered the exact same thing. Veal Parm with a spinach salad. So how spaghetti and meatballs came into the mix both times I have no idea. Am doubtful we will come back anytime soon as we are ready to leave now. Mediocre is what I can say about this place. First time there will never will return. I was suppose to be celebrating my birthday but it was awful. We literally sat around waiting for our waitress for about 30 minutes while everyone who came after us got waited on. We did not even get offered plates for the refrigerated hard gross bread. The food was nothing special . I got chicken parmigiana taste eggy and bitter. Spaghetti was the only thing that was decent but for the price I rather go to the Olive Garden. Never again ! read more

Ambience is very nice. Service was a little lacking. Our server didn't check on us much. The escargot and avocado appetizer were good. The crab legs were very tasty but not for the small amount you get for $60! Our party found that the seafood pasta and the spaghetti with marinara (sides to their dish) were lacking in flavor. My quail was pretty bony and our friend's lamb was extremely chewy. The salmon and chicken parmigiana were good but not great. We'll give the place another shot but overall the food wasn't very impressive for the price. read more

The only nice thing I can say about this restaurant is the atmosphere. It is a lovely place. If that is enough for you, move full speed ahead. If the food is important, this is not the place. I have been there twice. Both times I took a minimum of eight people. We ordered a variety of selections off the menu. Everyone, both times, was disappointed. I am tired of making apologies for "Midland" and paying hefty tabs to boot. We have much better than this. Terrible food! My chicken parmesan was frozen cooked. I could tell because it was a plate filled with water and covered in cheese to give some kind of flavor. Decor was great and the only part of my experience worth the $50 I spent there. Will never go back! read more

This place has an awesome menu! I'm vegan and our server had a fellow vegan server come over and recommend what he orders and what they could do. This hospitality made me feel very welcomed and at ease knowing my food was going to be prepared to my taste. The food was amazing far beyond what I imagined. The wine was delicious - it for me messed up on only two glasses of red - yes I'm a slight lightweight ! I can't say I've tried everything that's in Midland but out of the all the places I've tried so far this has been the bet tasting food. I had the shrimp and clams linguini and it was pretty tasty. I also tried the lobster bisque but didn't care much for it, it was pretty salty. Our server was nice but took forever on everything he did. He did also look pretty lost at times. This was the first time we ever stepped foot Into this hidden restaurant, we were seated immediately but right after that they completely forgot we were there, we sat for 15 min waiting for them to get our drink order, once they got it, it took another 15 to bring it to us, then a total of 25 to take our food order, while we were waiting the owner starts arguing with the hostess with complete disrespect to her and us, to the point where se grabbed her things and was about to quit, but the end of our finally arrived dinner we went thru 4 different servers , that was very annoying and not once did they refill our drinks , NEVER going there again over priced food and horrible service don't mix read more

We waited a while wondering if we had a server, and we didn't have a wine list during this time so by the time a server did come we still couldn't order drinks. We ordered escargot which was overtaken by Bleu cheese flavor (and it wasn't listed on the menu that it had Bleu cheese - just garlic and butter, I'm not supposed to be eating dairy so this was a major bummer as we came here for our 5 year anniversary pretty much specifically because they had escargot, and it was such a let down of overwhelming bleu cheese)....we also had the shrimp scampi appetizer which I guess we should have assumed came over pasta, but the menu described it as just shrimp cooked in garlic and butter so I thought it was like a gambas al ajillo situation instead of an actual pasta dish with minimal shrimp on top. Very pricey for what it was. For our main dish we split the rack of lamb. We ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well and dried out, so all around this meal was a miss for us. The best part was the green beans. We looked at the dessert menu but decided against it given how our meal had gone thus far. We had a lovely time celebrating our marriage despite the food - the atmosphere was nice! Maybe the more traditional Italian dishes are better executed. read more

I eagerly anticipated my first visit to Venezia's, hoping I would be finding another local gem like the place across the street, but I was disappointed. The food was definitely "meh," and for the price I paid, I could have made something MUCH better at home, even though Italian cooking is not my specialty. It was late on a weeknight when I went, and the restaurant was very quiet. The staff were nice enough, but mostly I remember the mediocre food. The desserts looked irresistible arranged on the display as they were, and the cheesecake tasted pretty good. My date thought his tiramisu was okay, but not the best. The ambiance was very nice, but it wasn't enough to carry this meal and my date and I both found it to be a waste of money. Perhaps I would come back to have a drink on their lovely patio, but I wouldn't waste my time with the food again. read more

Everything I have tried in the menu is well prepared. I personally recommend the rack of lamb. I'm not a particular fan of lamb, but the way this is seasoned and prepared makes me so an about face on my opinion of mutton. Food is fresh and service is great. I have loved the food here since I was in high school. The veal dishes are amazing- please dont be afraid of the babies ;) The veal positano has always been my favorite. Usually I can only find seafood positanos :( The desserts change almost weekly, but my favorite that they have ever had was a caramel cake. The food was wonderful. They had fresh vegetables and pasta. We had the antipasto and was really great, except there was a lot of oil drizzles all over the food, but it was still great. We both had pasta dishes. Mine was beyond great, with vegetables and lots and lots of shrimps (not fishy) in a white wine sauce. We also had salmon pasta, the salmon was very fishy but the pasta was good. They should have mixed drinks like sangria or something, there are wine and beer only. Every time we sit on the patio we get eaten alive by the bugs. It is always a hit or miss with the wait staff good and bad. The hostesses are usually not very friendly. read more

Went last night for an early dinner. As always, the service was excellent. I had a wedge salad that was by far the BEST salad i have ever had. As an entree i had the lasagna with meat sauce and it was delicious. The pasta was so light and smooth. My friend had the stuffed chicken and ate it all. She said it was delicious as well. We probably had 10 cups of coffee after dinner and it was the best coffee either of us have ever had. read more

My date and I went here last night. we were a bit concerned with getting in due to a very full parking lot and no reservations. No problem at all, we were immediatly seated. Upscale but quaint atmosphere. Clientele was an interesting mix of the country club set and the oil rig set. Service was a tad erratic but very friendly and concerned. The Veal piccatta was fine. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner last night, chose Venezia's because of the atmosphere, very quiet! Our waiter (Lee) was very attentive & helpful. Very good for midland. Typical Italian restaurant menu. They have homemade pizza at lunch time which is good. Lunch and dinner always come with homemade crusty bread. Homemade cakes for dessert by the Slice about 8 bucks. Pasta is pretty good. Wine and beers. read more

This place is one of the better in the area, unfortunately what we had to eat wasn't necessarily anything to write home about, however, it was tasty and we would certainly return. My husband had the quail with au gratin potatoes and asparagus- he raved about it being quite delicious. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered the alfredo with chicken and mushrooms; the sauce was the perfect consistency but lacked flavor and the chicken resembled a frozen patty. We also had the fried calamari which was decent. What set this place apart for us when compared to other restaurants in the Permian was the service. Our waiter (we didn't get his name) was AMAZING! He was very personable, on top of things and super helpful as it was our first time here. He went out of his way to make conversation and make us feel at home. The Venezia even has a server dedicated to keeping beverages filled, and she was on top of her game! The menu is expansive and well varied, as is the wine menu (includes a $6,000 bottle), they do not serve liquor, but it really isn't the type of venue that calls for it. To finish off our meal we had a piece of tiramisu and it was certainly one of the very best we've ever had! We will definitely be returning in the future to try the more authentic and exciting things on the menu. read more

I went to eat with my brother. We were sat and no one asked us for 30 minutes what we wanted. I had to get up myself and get a wine menus. I guess the owner took our wine order, and then a waiter approached us. We ordered the calamari, duck parppadelle and chicken parm. The calamari never came before we got our main dish. My duck parppadelle was ground meat. I couldn't tell if it was duck or not. It was ik but I expected seared duck or duck breast. My brother's dish was ok. Service was not great as we had to wait a lot and I thought they had even forgot about us. I tipped 15% but that is really low for me, i felt like tipping lower on 125 dollar bill but I used to work in food and bev so I felt bad. I guess service was bad and food wasn't up to par. I complained about my pasta and they offered for a free plate but I opted not too. The owner or some guy that had come by out table for the wine order, told me the duck parppadelle was excellent. I complained but he never came out after I complained. Don't think I will be back. read more

It is really not traditional italian cuisine im italian and ive had authentic. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs and he couldnt even eat it. The meatballs tasted like the frozen kind. I tried a bite i couldnt even eat it and the sauce had water in it we complained the waiter did nothing. I ordered the lasagne and it had a tangy white sauce on it i believe it was a french bechamel.
