I requested service to have a tire inter tube repaired on my bike. its an older bike. When Jason saw the bike I was told that it was a f***king piece of s**t and he was very nasty and rude to me . Said he was afraid I would get in an accident on the bike at some point and blame him ..lol!! Get real. Very unprofessional.. Then he calls my job and tells my employer that I was drunk and rude towards him . Do yourself a favor and do business with a different bike shop. read more

I bought a used bike and just wanted it looked over to be sure it was safe and put together correctly. I dropped by a local store in Venice only to find out they couldn't get to it for a week! I called Venice Bike and Trikes and spoke with Joe. He was so helpful and polite on the phone and said THEY would come to me...TODAY with in 2 HOURS! This company provided excellent service at a fair price. The bikes were Trek and in excellent condition. Drop-off was on time and worry free. Jason and Joe are incredibly responsive (and just really nice guys). I brought one of my own bikes down and had multiple problems. Jason put on new handle bars, fixed a flat tire (before I even woke up) and put the chain back on. Every time I called they got back to me promptly. I left for home with my bike like new. I recommend Venice Bikes and Trikes over other shops. This is the second year I have rented from them. read more

I rented a bike for a week. Tropical storm Debbie came through and I missed four days of riding. I asked if they would cut me a break on a few days and let me keep the bike for a few extra days. They said "no," I explained that the bike shop on 41 allowed my brother to keep his bike for four extra days at no cost. They refused to give me any kind of break! They claimed since we know so much about the weather that they don't give breaks. I explained that the weather call for the storm to go northwest, so their policy is based on a faulty system, and besides this was a very rare occasion. "no deal.". I will take my business to bicycle international, they gave my brother the bike no questions asked! So much for understanding. read more

I reserved two bikes about two days prior to the Sunday my friends and I went bike riding on the Venice bike trail. The bikes were dropped off in person and waiting for us at Shamrock Park. Another friend called that morning and had a bike dropped off at Centennial Park at the gazebo, where we all met up to continue biking on the trail. We called when we got back to our cars at Shamrock Park and the bikes were picked up. Each basic bike was $23. It included a basket and a bike lock. Service here was pleasant and convenient, and very nice option to rent a bike for the day. read more

Great experience with them! The person on the phone was pleasant and very helpful arranging our recent rental. We rented two men's and two women's cruisers. They offer helmets, baskets and locks with rentals. A nice young man met us at Shamrock Park at the appointed time with bikes and made sure we were all set before leaving the bikes with us for the day. He gave us tips on the nearby trails and a City of Venice Bike Map as well. We pedaled off and had a very enjoyable day on the trails. Will use them again! read more

You call these folks, tell them the number and types of bikes you need and where you want them dropped off. They deliver and on-time! My wife and I rented two hybrids and headed out on the bike path along the intercostal waterway. More than an hour in, my wife got a flat. We called and within 20 minutes we had a replacement bike and were back on track. These guys run a unique bike service in an area it seems they can manage well. They are friendly and responsive. All we had to do was leave the bikes locked at the agreed to location at our hotel. Done deal and we will do it again next year. Thanks for making our biking day a success. read more

Very convenient and accommodating. When reserving the bikes, they asked about our sizes and experience level, etc. and selected bikes perfect for us. They delivered the bikes on time to our hotel on Casey Key and suggested several possible rides. Helmets, locks, and baskets (if desired) are included. When finished, we locked the bikes outside our room and they picked them up while we were out at the beach. All for $23/day per bike. Very pleased and highly recommend! read more

Excellent service! I rented a road bike from Beach Bikes & Trikes to do the Venice Y triathlon. They delivered it and picked it up after at no extra charge! Even took a few minutes to adjust my seat for me and walk me through the gears. It was $30 for a day (24 hrs) - amazing rate after hearing what other athletes paid. Best place to rent a bike in Venice hands down! I'll definitely be using them in the future! read more

This is a bike rental service that does not have a store - we drove to the address given and found nothing. Upon phoning the number I discovered that they are strictly a delivery and pick up service. You order the kind of bike you want, make a reservation and they deliver it either to your home or to the bike trail. We were interested in renting bikes for a day for my son and his family who were visiting. My son is a competitive cyclist, and the kids, ages 9 and 7, are experienced mountain bikers. My husband and I, however, had not ridden in nearly 40 years, but we wanted to join them, so we rented cruisers for ourselves. Jason arrived promptly at 9 a.m. as promised, but he was one adult bike short, and one of the kids' bikes had brakes that did not work well. That little bit of confusion is my reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. They did send two more bikes right away though, and we had a delightful day. I would recommend their service to anyone in the Venice area who wants to try out bike riding, even if it has been years since the last ride. Just be very specific about what you want to be sure there are no mix ups. read more
