So this has been my usual to-go place for a few years now. I went back in October and got a regular manicure and pedicure, and even though I know manicures don't last as long as pedicures do, mine chipped immediately after I left when I can usually make my manicures last a few days before it chips if I do it at home. But nonetheless, it was still great. I went again recently for my birthday. It was busy and I believe they were short staffed, but I felt very rushed. Overall my dip nails came out the way I had wanted it and my regular pedicure looks great. read more

This was my first time coming here, and I am very disappointed by the quality of my service. I booked an appointment earlier in the week for my friend and I for 11am. It takes me a while to choose a color, so I purposefully arrived fifteen minutes early so I could browse through the colors. I was rushed to sit down and start having my old dip removed, despite there being no other customers. My tech asked if I had picked a color yet (I had only been there a few minutes), and it wasn't even time for our appt yet. I showed her a picture (from the same salon) and said I wanted something similar, a very basic light pink. She scoffed and told me to just look through the samples. Each color I picked, they didn't have available, yet she made no effort to help me pick one they DID have. In the meantime, my friend arrived. She is Viet, but for some reason, they didn't realize she spoke the language and they were clearly talking about us. My friend gave me a few looks while they did our nails, our code for "We'll talk about this later." I felt really rushed and finally picked a color a little darker than I wanted, but could live with. It ended up being wayyyy darker than it looked in the samples, and when I told my tech, she said it would look lighter when she filed it down. She did a great job of shaping my nails, and the dip is really thin unlike a lot of places that make it thick. But my color is a bright fuschia, as you can see in my pictures. Nothing even remotely similar to what I came in wanting. When we left, my friend thanked them in Viet. They finally realized she knew what they were saying all along. My friend told me they complained about our cuticles and kept commenting on what a strange duo we were. Honestly, I don't mind that too much and it was kind of funny, but on top of my tech's already bad attitude, it was too much negativity. Overall, I won't be back. I am giving the place two stars for my good shaping and thinness of the dip, but even that is a bit generous for the bad customer service. read more

I came in today cause I broke my nail and she fixed it immediately and was so fast and kind. I was happy with my experience here. I needed to come here for a bit of self care as I hadn't had a pedicure in a long time. My toes were a bit gnarly and I was worried the technician wouldn't get it. Just months being stressed and finally having the chance to take a breath and take care of yourself. Well, I was really happy with her, because she didn't make a face, was professional, where other nail salons wouldn't have, which would have made me more uncomfortable. I can't remember her name, but she was very understanding. She even made sure to take away the orange, for the foot bath, because of my citrus allergy. I remember another place told me it wouldn't hurt...uh yes it will. Rashes, puking do hurt. My toes in the end looked beautiful and presentable all the while, my technician made me feel comfortable. This thanksgiving week, I'm hoping I can pop by again for another round of self care, but regardless, this place was inviting, relaxing, and made my feet cute again without making me feel bad about it. Self care is important, and places that treat you well, despite having been in a tough situation before hand are well worth a revisit. read more

Manicure was horrible, still have cuticles and he didn't clean under my nails. There was no hand massage he only put a tiny bit of lotion on my hands not even all my fingers. The dip powder was uneven. Way over priced for the service. Will not be back read more

Not what it used to be. Ladies did a nice job with nails. I asked for matching polishes but ended up with two different colors. It was hard to tell while polish was being applied because colors are similar. Once I put hands next to feet, I realized they are not the same. I let the nail tech know that the colors are different and it is NOT what I asked for. She acknowledged but did not apologize. She tried to smooth it over and "make it right" by saying that the new trend is to have 2 different colors. If that's what I wanted, I would have asked for that. I was very upset because my time was limited and I had another appointment to get to. I had to let it go. Not cool. Also, prices have gone up but polishes are cheaper quality now. read more

The worst nail salon I been too. I walked out and my nail was already chipping. 2 hours later I realized both my polished fingers are missing the whole top layer. How is that even possible?? The whole polish was gone. Not to say the girl there told me she's fairly new. I could've had my little brother paint my nails better. Worst manicure of my life. read more

Excellent!!!! The best nail saloon that I've been to in my life as far as how friendly and throughout they are here. I'm scoring them against Florida, San Antonio, Maryland, Nebraska and Texas. I wish I were closer. But once we move to Houston... I may travel to come to this place as I liked the owner and his business practices. This place did a pretty good job on my ombré nails. However, we went there as a bridal party, and my sister (the bride) was not satisfied with her nails and when they couldn't do what she wanted, they were extremely rude to her. They kept trying to tell her that her nails were fine, but they were obviously not and not what she wanted. She told them how she wanted the gems to be placed based on the photo and they complained when we asked them to change the placement of the gems. First time coming here because my usual spot was closed due to flooding several months ago. I wanted to get a pedicure because I needed my ingrown toe nail cut, it was hurting my feet to walk alot and wear shoes. I brought my own nail polish and when I arrived, they took my boyfriend and I in quickly. We both did a pedi which was nice. I dont remember the ladies name but I remember being seated and I told her how my big toe nail was hurting and I needed her to cut it. She said ok and got everything prepared. I find it cool how they use bathbombs in their water instead of the salt like most places. When the lady cut into my nail, it hurt alot. I found out a few days later that she didnt really cut it well because was infected and swollen. I had gone to another spa place owned by a family friend outside of Houston to have them help me because my toe was hurting still (didn't know it was infected prior to going). Overall, my experience wasn't that great. I dont think I'll be coming back. Only thing I can say is the pricing is relatively cheaper than most places I've been too. read more

My new favorite nail place! My friend recommended this place to me last time and I don't get my nails done anywhere else. I moved to Chicago, but I come to SL often to visit family and I'll hold off getting my nails done just to do them here! Service is excellent. Quality of work is excellent. I've never had acrylic done before and i has such a great experience. My nails lasted weeks and I got so many compliments. The girl who did my nails explained what she was doing and was so gentle. I've had bad experiences with manicures before getting cut around the cuticles, but not here. They work quickly but theyre careful and do an excellent job. read more

If more than 5 stars were possible, then that's what I would put down. We had such a fantastic time! The service was incredible, and the staff very accommodating. My fiancé and I both got the Venice deluxe pedicure and we highly recommend! He has only been to a few other salons with me, but he highly recommends them. I've been to lots of salons in Texas, NYC, and DC, and this was by far the best. The quality of the pedicure, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall feel of the place was great. Their prices were great and adequate for the service given, but after I got this pedicure I wouldn't have minded paying more. They spent an hour with us, and I will for sure be back if I'm ever I'm the Houston area. read more

They usually do a good job but this time not so much, especially not for $99! I asked for coffin shaped and i got several different bumps, lumps, and shapes. If i wasn't in a rush because it took an hour and a half, i would've asked for them to be fixed. I probably won't go back because they're too expensive to take a chance. read more

I have only been to one nail salon while living in Houston because I fell in love with it, but today I decided to go to one closer to work. The experience was awful. I walked in and said I had an appointment for 4:15. He asked me what the service was for even though I told him on the phone. (Okay whatever no big deal) They gave me only 2 sets of colors to choose from. I picked a color for my nails and she came back with a completely different color and then argued with me and said it's the same as what I said. I then said I will just get white instead to make it easy. She started the water for the pedicure and never asked me if I wanted anything to drink even though the TWO other people in the salon had something to drink. She started with the pedicure and barely massages my legs and barely filed anything. It was the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. The front desk man came midway and started on my nails. He asked what length I wanted and I said I wanted to cut them a little. He cut them down to the bottom and never even asked me if that's how I wanted it. He started to do the dip and then when he used the shaved to make it thinner, he ruined the dip then had to do it again. He also made my nails so uneven while using the machine that I had to tell him to fix it. He never once touched my cuticles. He did the whole service while answering phones and leaving every so often. Since this was my first time here, I asked for a 20% discount because that's what his IG and Yelp said. He asked me where I had heard this as if I was wrong for asking. I WILL NEVER come back here. I rather go to my original salon in Houston, wait, and have a drink while I do so. This was the most terrible experience. Oh and no one walked in during my whole 1.5 hours there. Just me and the original two girls that were there before me. That should tell you something. read more

Dropped by for a walk in mani pedi and they were able to accommodate me right away. Jay did my chrome gel-extensions and Kathy did my gel pedi. The overall experience was 10/10. The place was very clean and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. There was good communication, Jay made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I'm most happy about the quality of work and care they provided because my hands and feet look so so good. Amazing work and amazing customer service! It's always hard to find a good place to get a manicure, pedicure, and wax but I think I found my new place while I'm here in Sugerland. I got a great manicure by Jay. He was very nice and great at explaining things to me. He was also very patient with me because I have lots of questions sometimes. Lol He also did my nails fast and I loved them. I would definitely recommended him. My pedicure was done my Lee. She was very sweet and did a great job. She also did my wax. I was very happy. I got the Signature Spa Pedicure which is an extension of their basic pedicure, & is an additional treatment using citrus Sugar Glow exfoliating (or other scent of choice) to eliminate dead skin cells, a massage, hot towel wraps and polish of choice. I loved it. Very relaxing. For my polish I got both my nails and toes holographic. I've been wanting to get a holographic polish for so long and I finally found a place that does it and does it good. The place is very nice and clean as well and the prices are fair. If you also go a certain amount of times you get $5 off and if something's happens with your nails like they get chipped or fall off they will fix them for free. I absolutely love Venice Nails & Spa!! They have always done an amazing job every single time! Everyone is friendly and sweet. The owner, Chien, is almost always in the shop. I have been a customer here for over a year and will continue to use them as my nail salon. Unfortunately, today I did have a bad experience. I do not know the name of the lady who did my nails today because she didn't have a name tag, but she was one of the worst I've had. She was wearing a red blouse under her pink scrub top and had blonde highlights and fake Chanel earrings on. She was immediately smug to me when I stated I did not want a pedicure, then proceeded to try and talk me into some sparkling dip powder that I kindly said no thank you to. Not only was she very rough with my fingers, but it was the fastest and sloppiest job I've had from here. She left a lot of sticky stuff under my nails and pink powder on my fingers. I am a loyal customer and I won't let this lady ruin my experiences here. Next time, I will just call and make an appointment with Lee who has done my nails the last 2x I've been here. Lee is amazing!! She understood exactly what I wanted and was friendly and polite!! I hope management will just talk to their staff about politeness and taking their time. A nail salon is a place to relax and enjoy a little treat of pampering, not to be hurried out in order to move on to the next (which there wasn't that many people in there at the time, so they weren't overly crowded). read more

The quality of the customer service was dissatisfying. My younger daughters's first nail salon experience was turned from an excitement to a blah experience. The manager was a bit rough and they didn't give her the blue color she wanted but my older daughter had a good experience with her nail tech,he was very accommodating and helpful to her. I had Julie do my Shellac mani and Trina for Venice spa pedi. She gives good leg massage and was nice and didn't complain that I forgot to tell her to alternate red and black colors for my pedi. She took her time and was careful when doing the polka dot designs on my toes. I loved the Green Tea lotion-very cooling. Julie was very sweet and patient. She answered my questions about rating the worst to the best for your nails manicures (gel, Shellac, powder, SNS powder, Acrylic- being the heaviest on your nail) There's also no monthly membership. My mani was $30+$18 for designs on 6 nails (two on big toes) read more

They do a good job and have a nice selection of colors to choose from. They get things done quickly, both times that I visited my fingernails were done simultaneously with my pedicure. So I would have left 4 stars for the quality of my nail service, unfortunately will have to dock points for professionalism. In the middle of doing my manicure (after doing my pedicure), my nail salonist asked for credit card payment- really?? I had to dig deep in my bag while attempting to not ruin my manicured nails. Not sure if everyone is expected to pay in between pedicure and manicure but it leaves it very inconvenient for customers, which is something management should be aware of. read more

I'll never go to this salon again. I asked the guy that was going to do my nails, if he could make sure to file my nails with a fIle instead of a drill, and he said he couldn't do it that his boss would get upset if they came off. I told him I'm wanting to grow my nails out and didn't want the damage from the drill. He got very loud and standing up in the salon making a scene to the point all the other nail stylists and customers started looking at him. The loud talking was unnecessary and if I had stayed I would've gone off on him. He was very unprofessional. When I lived in Seattle, my nail stylist had no issues filing my nails with a regular file and my nails never came off. So if you can't deviate and do nails in a different way, then he shouldn't be doing nails. Even if you use the drill, nails will still pop off or break. It's all in the way of applying and doing the nails. This is it, I'll never come back here. They're not the best nail techs anyways. Their work is very subliminal and not great at out. read more

I been in search of a permanent nail salon for awhile now and Venice Nails & Spa has really got me hooked!! I got my dipping powder set done by Jay twice and pedi once by Ivy and this time by Linda. Their customer service really stands out. Jay rmmrs all of his clients by name and their stories. They never try to pressure and up-sell you, and have a huge selection of SNS dipping powder, color powders and gel polishes. Even with their regular polish, they only carry the big brand names like OPI and Essie. My dipping powder is always as thin and natural looking like shellac, but last way longer. My first set stayed fresh and shiny for about three weeks. I highly recommend Venice Nails & Spa. **Sorry about my ugly hands, but the nail job is amazing. read more

My new go to nail spot in the Sugarland area. Reasonable prices, and attentive employees- what more do you want? My friend recommended this place to me, and I am so glad that she did! They even save all the information about the services you have received in the past- nail tech info, and even the colors you usually get. It's super cool. I usually do not get my nails done a lot because honestly who has the time....BUT i recently started to receive coupons through text from Venice Nails. I found this so legit because other salons don't ever do this! I got my toes done here because I had a 20% coupon. I came here Feb 14th 2020. It has been 7 weeks since I got my toes done and they still look good as new! I cannot wait to come back here!! This is my go to salon for my mani & pedi when I am in town. I am a very (well some people would say "super") PICKY client because I used to do nails hence I know and like my nails done properly. I have not found a salon that I like where I currently live so I do my own at home. It is a real treat when I'm in Sugar Land and get pampered at Venice Nails & Spa. Each time I'm there they take their time to ensure I'm happy with the service. Although they have all the fancy shmancy products to color nails, but I am a simple old-school nail polish girl so I love that they have a great selection of polishes. This is the best nail salon I have been to! Forget Sweet Escape. The prices here are very decent and the nail techs are actually friendly. I appreciated that none of them were having side conversations where I worried that they were making fun of me, and that instead they spoke TO me. I think my favorite part of the whole thing was that when you pick your shellac color for your hands they have a non shellac match already for your toes. Such a small feature but so convienent. The manager was also very friendly during my checkout. During my checkout process, my nail tech accidentally wrote down signature pedi on my ticket when I got the basic done. The manager didn't argue with me or the stylist. He simply asked her and she corrected her mistake. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I will never ever come back to this salon again. I never do Yelp reviewing but I got so frustrated the other day and had to do one this time. I came in to get my full set done with Lenny during week day around Tuesday. He is RUDE and LOUD and CARELESS. I meant those 3 words when I say it. I told him that I want him to file my nails down using the file and he kept ignoring to continue his work. When I asked him again, he was so RUDE and said that how he did his job. He was so LOUD as well that it caught everyone's attention. I don't understand why the owner can tolerate this guy and let him work here. This is UNACCEPTABLE! I will never come back read more

I've visited this nail salon multiple times and have been more than pleased every time. The ambiance is beautiful and relaxing and the staff is courteous and skilled. I prefer stiletto shaped nails and many salons are not capable of providing a flawless shape. Usually there is at least one or two nails that are off or crooked and it forces me to file them once I get home, but not here! Every nail is perfect! They take so much care even when polishing, something else that can get sloppy. The price point is great and the wine puts the cherry on top. I travel all over the country for work and people see my hands all day long in my job so my nails need to look great, but it is extremely difficult to get consistently good manicures and fullset. Im glad I gave the salon a second chance. Got a completely different experience! Q did an amazing job on my SNS dipping. I discovered that he did it correctly it was nothing like the first time I got it done. He took his time and filed down my nails like they are supposed to.
