Great spot if you can get in. Don't bother to make an appointment, you're seen no sooner than a walk-in. We found this out when we waited forty five minutes with those who walked in as we did. As we walked out after wasting forty five minutes, there was little concern by the staff as they still had a line of people waiting. Lana did an amazing job today on my pedicure! She gave me one of the best foot massages I have ever had and at no time did I feel like she was rushing through the appointment! I made my appointment late last night and was able to be seen first thing this morning! This was the first and only nail salon I've visited since moving up here and it will now remain the only nail salon I will be going too! I just had the most amazing Heavenly pedicure at Venice! Lots of attention to detail, choice of scents for sugar scrub and lotion. All the people are super sweet and attentive. This feels very strange being a guy reviewing what is mostly a girl world. About 2 years ago, I had surgery on my knee and found it difficult to trim my toe nails. I could reach them ,but holding the clippers steady just didn't work. After clipping off a piece of my big toe and bleeding profusely,I decided not to attempt that again. Never had a pedicure--all I wanted was a simple nail trim. Called around with mixed results until I tried this place. No problem , just walk in. I felt totally out of place, but every employee made sure i felt welcome. For 8 bucks plus tip ,I was out in 10 minutes. Return every 10-12 weeks or so. This was about 2 years ago. Since then, I have graduated to a pedicure( without painted nails ) occasionally. Should have tried that years ago. Felt great!!! The workers are all friendly. I'll start with the good. Very clean, you can easily walk in, bonus shoulder massage with pedicure, complimentary drinks. Now for the bad part. I've been here twice and both times they failed to remove all the paraffin wax so the polish never set up and would smear off an hour after I left. I had to go back both times and have them redo the polish. Such a pain. The first time it happened I thought it was a fluke. After the second, they must not train the employees properly. Love Venice my go to place when I need good customer services and great pedicures and manicure

I so badly wanted to give this place a higher review as it was crazy busy (Mother's Day) and they still took my daughter and I with about a 30 minute wait. I chose the deluxe pedi (or whatever the $40 pedicure is) and my daughter the childrens pedi. Well my lady said several times I hope you're my last one and then more and more people kept coming in and she rushed like crazy. The other lady that did my daughter's rushed as well, but at least they discounted hers $5. Still, I would give 4 stars. But in the midst of her rushing on mine, she dug into my right big toe so much that I bled. She put some blue drops on it then painted over (so you can still see the blood). Okay again, I guess this happens. I guess. But then hours later (like 5 hours) I go to show my husband how she made me bleed and the polish rubbed right off (on my big toe!). Ugh!!! So today I go back, they take the polish off and the lady said "oh that is bad, let it grow and next time we trim it right." They repainted and that was it. Nothing to "make it right"...the fact that my toe is now throbbing and I had to make the time to go back just aggravates me. I honestly think it all boils down to her rushing because of how busy they were, but the very least, they should have made it right today with more than "sorry". read more

I was expecting great results because Venice has been recommended to me by many people especially for their SNS. My nail tech was Liem and the entire time he was looking around distracted and rushing through my nails not filing them super evenly or consistently you get the gist. Usually when I get SNS they do 3 layers of color and he only did two which is fine as long as it holds up the same but after 3 days of wear they began chipping and the uneven filing and chunk he too out of the side of my thumb nail is only more apparent. read more

My husband and I went this past Sunday and got pedicures together, and I got a manicure as well. The facilities are very nice, service was quick, the staff was friendly (my nails were done by Thao; I hope I've remembered how to spell that correctly), they served us wine, and we were very happy with the results. Sorry long post ! Summary: STILL FIGHTING INFECTION from this place. Wine served in DIRTY GLASS WITH FRESH LIPSTICK ALL AROUND IT .. not a small miss... when I pointed it out the girl went to shelf to get clean glass ( picked up a few and kept putting them back) then proceeded to poor the wine from the lipsticked up dirty glass IN TO THE CLEAN ONE AND BROUGHT IT BACK TO ME! I am non Confrontational so i just did not drink anything.. I have been here a few times. Never had a horrible experence but this last visit was absolutely the worst pedicure I've ever had in MY LIFE. Nail tech that did my pedicure had glasses and seemed to be register girl, just learning. Not only was she not able to trim my nails or massage at all, but when the other tech came over to help her she literally CUT THROUGH MY SKIN UNDER MY TOE! I was literally clenching and vocalizing pain, then the blood started flowing ... before I could blink or breath the lady grabbed her dirty green bottle of bleed stop and doused my toe with it! The burning was unbearable! NOT ONE SORRY -NOT ONE MOMENT OF EYE CONTACT FROM THE 2 ladies MUTALATING MY TOE. She grabbed dirty cotton off the side of the stand and crammed it in to my bleeding wound and used a metal tool to push the cotton soaked in burning bleed stop goo under my cuticle! I was literally doing all i could not to Cry in pain (my daughter was with me and I did not want to cause a scene) she ripped the cotton out quickly painted my nails - used the clear coat EXTRA On the cut toe and directed it into the cut !! SO MUCH BURNING!! Still NO APOLOGY , NO ARE YOU OKAY.. just laughing and speaking to her coworker. As i got up I immidieatly saw the bag she had been grabbing tools from (most were not pulled out of bag to be used) BUT they were ALL DIRTY! NEVER WASHED FROM PREVIOUS USE! I got home in so much pain and terrified of what my poor toe was in store for! I doctored my nail - even used bactroban and neosporin - of course next day INFECTION was there .MD Had to prescribe oral antibiotics ! SO PAINFUL. This was Wednesday... Still fighting infection .. NEVER EVER GOING BACK. If you go -check their tool bags , I'm sure I'm not the only one to have this happen. FYI IF THERE ARE NOT BLACK LINES ON THE BAGS THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN RUN THROUGH HEAT SANITATION NEEDED TO KILL BACTERIA.. and when they neatly open and close the bags back that means they are reusing them which is not supposed to be allowed for sanitation purposes, and thus there is no way to know if they are actually cleaning ANYTHING! . NOT ONE PERSON THERE CARED. It will take me a long time to recover from this experience ! No Pedicure for me for a long time and I'll be doing my field research before I trust another location. read more

I went for the first time today (Tuesday) around 11am with my five yr old daughter. When we first walked in, it looked very busy and I expected a wait but we didn't have to wait at all. Plenty of staff to accommodate traffic, especially during the middle of the week, so I was pleasantly surprised. We both wanted pedicures and we immediately received a fresh fruit cup and a refreshment (we opted for water). The pedicure menu is impressive. Options ranging from 30 min classic pedi for around $30 to 60-75 min pedis in the range of $85, and everywhere in between. They even have kid's pricing which I don't see too often at nail salons. It is $12 for a mani and $20 for a pedi for kids. Since my pedi was going to take longer, I decided to have them do both for my daughter. I got the Hawaiian pedicure which included a scrub on legs and feet, callus treatment, leg mask with hot towels, hot stone massage on my legs and feet, wax treatment on my feet, and a shoulder massage. It was clean and the ladies were generous and super sweet to my kid. They offered her a small bag of chips and were very patient with her. She even got flowers on her thumbs and big toes for free (I've paid $5 each before). I've found my new place. Need to take my hubby here. Bummed I don't live in Georgetown but will be going when I'm visiting my inlaws. Probably good for my wallet!! One more tip, they ask that you use cash to tip. No checks allowed and they cannot add a tip to the card nor charge you more to include tip. I wasn't prepared but left to go to the ATM to bring a tip back. They deserved it. read more

Me and my cousin went together out nails done and we both asked for the same thing and my cousins nails turned out terrible like nothing we asked for we even showed a picture of how we wanted and they said they could do it. walked in for a pedicure, was told it would be a 15-20 minute wait. they had me sit down in a pedicure chair(with no water to soak in). i waited and waited past my 20 minutes. i watched them start on others who had come after me and asked for the same thing never mentioning an appointment. after about 40 minutes i ask how much longer and am told 5 more minutes. Finally after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting i got up and walked out. if they didn't have time they should have told me instead of lying to try to get some business.
