I stumbled across Ventito Bakery while searching for a bakery that makes Cassata cakes. Now we all know that finding a place online mandates that you read all the reviews and then decide whether you want to deal with a product or company, well after reading many good reviews I decided to go with them. They only had good reviews so why, not give them a try. Keep in mind that Ventito's Bakery is a delivery only bakery I believe they are located in Avon Ohio, but they deliver so the location isn't that important. Any-who, I was unsure how to best reach them so I ordered online and called and left a message pretty much stating the same thing my online order stated. I received confirmation shortly after submitting my order that it was placed and would be delivered. They will communicate with you either way, email will get you the quickest response, they do read them and they respond rather quickly. Since I placed the same order via phone I also received a call about the order. They are some the nicest people I have ever done business with, like they actually treat you like a customer. Not only did they ensure that my order would arrive on time but they also ensured that everything was going to be the way that I ordered it. Now on to the cake. The cake itself was so cute that he didn't even want to cut it, the strawberries were extremely fresh (as they cut them literally an hour before they deliver it), and you can taste the rum in the cake, they do not cook it out. If you are looking for a great Cassata cake this bakery will definitely deliver. My friend said the cake was so soft, it had the perfect texture and that it was thee best cake he has ever had!!!!!!! But, wait the goodness does not stop there. While on the phone I was asked if I was going to eat the cake and mention that I don't eat dairy due to a true allergy to dairy, I am so glad that I mention that because they specialize in allergy free foods! I had a sample of the banana cupcake and when I tell you I couldn't tell that the cupcake was dairy free, I mean it. I've never had a dairy free cupcake cake that tasted this good, they are preservative free which is just another reason to order from them. Dairy free, no preservatives, Cassata cake with liquor that you can taste and a texture that was so good that you'll want more and top it off with delivery that takes a lot of the hassle of trying figure out how you're going transport the cake away and I give you Ventito Bakery. Ventito Bakery is the best bakery around and you should definitely utilize them if you have any upcoming special events!!!! I highly recommend them and will be using them in the future. read more

I have too many great things to say about this place. Firstly, their customer service is fantastic. They are willing to go above and beyond for their customers. They were very busy with orders, because of Mother's Day but were willing to fit in the order that I had placed. Secondly, they are a GREAT bakery for those with Gluten and Dairy allergies/sensitives/etc. I am recently diagnosed- gluten free and it has been a tough transition, but I was very excited when I found this bakery, as I love sweets!! I ordered the GF Strawberry cupcakes and two regular pies for my family. After chatting with the bakery, they also told me they could do dairy-free frosting (since I am also lactose intolerant) which made me even more excited for these cupcakes! To bring it home to the third and final great thing about this bakery, the TASTE. I have had a lot of strawberry cupcakes and even more frosting in my day, but I have to say that these are some of the best cupcakes that I have ever tasted. They are soft and moist and have just enough of that strawberry flavor all while being gluten-free! The frosting is now easily my favorite buttercream frosting, and I don't have to worry about having any dairy while eating it! I can guarantee that I will be ordering from this bakery again!! Awesome bakery for fresh, made from scratch, special order items. I always call ahead before coming to town and place orders, for myself and family. We've always gotten fresh, delicious cakes & cupcakes. Some of my favorite flavors are their chocolate cake, strawberry cake, banana cake (to die for - oh so good), margarita cupcakes, and pumpkin rolls. I have had some crazy requests and they have always accommodated me. The girls are all superb and fun to deal with. Prices are very reasonable. Best of all is they make everything from scratch, just prior to pick up. A bit of advice: Be sure to eat right away. They don't use preservatives like other bakeries, so they won't last long unless refrigerated or frozen. I always chill mine in the fridge to keep it longer. read more

I'm a Cleveland native but am now located in Cincinnati. My brother still resides in Northern Ohio (Westlake) and his birthday was this last week. I'd never heard of Ventito Bakery located in Avon Lake, but found them on the Internet through some excellent Yelp reviews. I wanted to get a cake for him. Under normal circumstances, I'd travel to see him, but of course COVID put a stop to that. Ventito came to the rescue! I ordered the personalized cake online and received a response within 30 minutes. They couldn't have been more responsive and delivered the cake on time, and on his birthday! I ordered a vegan cake for my daughter-in-law for her birthday. Talking to Donna, the owner, was wonderful; so helpful and easy to talk with. The cake was delivered to my home and it was absolutely beautiful. My daughter-in-law, who is a connoisseur of vegan baked goods, took one bite of her birthday cake and proclaimed "This is the best vegan cake I've ever tasted." I have a friend who lives in Avon who I needed to order a vegan birthday cake for -- all the way from Chicago. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with the owner and she is an absolute gem. She went above and beyond to make sure that my friend's cake would be excellent -- she even helped me come up with ideas! It was a great conversation. The owners are truly down to earth people. Just left Ventito Bakery. The owner was so kind and helpful. She offered me samples and everything I had was amazing. The strawberry was my favorite followed by the chocolate, vanilla and the coconut was very good too.She gave me many ideas for my gender cake. I cannot believe how lucky I was to find Ventito Bakery! I ordered a vanilla layer cake with vanilla buttercream frosting, a Cassato cake and a peach pie for my mother-in-law's birthday.
