    Turkish coffee

We stopped if for a quick coffee and pastry. I appreciate the quality of the organic coffee served at Shibam. I ordered a Turkish coffee. The cardamom was very tasty. Having the option to order single servings or a whole pot is nice also. The service was very good. The server brought our drinks to the table. There were not many people there when we arrived around 10a. As we sat there the entire cafe filled up. It is definitely a popular spot for coffee. Overall the coffee is also reasonably priced. The decor in the cafe is very nice. The chairs were comfortable. We also saw the staff spraying air freshener on the artificial flowers. They pay attention to details.

Nice place . Staff helpful and they came and held the door for me. The place was clean and so was the restrooms. We shared a pot of the Adeni chai tea. That was very good. My piece of caramel milk cake was excellent. My daughter's cake was dry. Nice place and I'll be back.

If you're a coffee person and are willing to try something different, this is the place for you. It's Yemni coffee. All their coffees have a Yemin twist to their flavors. You can definitely taste the different spices. They also have refreshers and teas. Lots of different pastries as well. You need to try their milk cake. Very unique and delicious. The shop itself is cute, tucked in a strip mall. The service is great, the person at the register is very knowledgeable of the coffees, so if you have questions she's great!

So cute and the brown sugar shaken espresso was soooo good! Probably the best I've had! The only downfall was that we ordered both hot and they came out cold but we were fine- it was truly delicious! Will definitely go back!!

I love this place, it offers much needed variety to the coffee scene in NE Ohio. The atmosphere is very welcoming and thr interior is lovely. But it's the coffee I came for. I opted for a shibam coffee and it did not disappointed. Good quality coffee with lovely spices and cream. Despite loving it, I'm excited to try more from their menu. I also tried the pistachio milk cake which was quite sweet a d would pair well with a more bitter coffee or tea. I've convinced friends to try this place out and they've reported back absolutely loving it as well so it's not just me!

The decor is absolutely gorgeous and makes for a lovely atmosphere to spend a few hours working/studying in. I got the mufawar, which was an amazing spiced coffee that had just the right amount of sweetness. And it came piping HOT. You don't have to worry about lukewarm coffee at this place. The mufawar was a delicious way to get my caffeine for the day. I also got two desserts - a little cake with pistachio mousse and the honeycomb. The honeycomb consisted of cream cheese filled dough balls covered in honey. I enjoyed the taste, but the texture was a little too crunchy for me. I expected and wanted a little more softness. But I thought the pistachio cake was delightful! The mousse had a pleasant subtle natural flavor, and the cake was perfectly moist. The desserts were a bit on the expensive side ($8 each, I think), but the large coffee, given the quality and size, was reasonably priced at $6. The staff was friendly, and I'm excited to come here again!

    Interior

What a pleasant surprise! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The decors are modern and easy on the eyes. It was my first time at Shibam and the staff took his time to answer my questions and made wonderful suggestions. I have never had milk cake before, and boy, I was definitely in for a treat! I had the pistachio milk cake. It was moist and decadent. Most importantly, it was not overly sweet. It was just perfect! The pistachio milk cake was so good that I ordered another one, a lotus milk cake. It was equally good, but I preferred the pistachio. I'm glad the staff suggested the pistachio latte, and I ordered it iced. The drink looked as good as it tasted. There was enough white mocha and pistachio without overbearing the coffee. It was perfectly balanced, and so good! I'm planning to visit again soon because I cannot get enough of the milk cake. This is my new favorite coffee place!

Stopped by Shibam Coffee and tried the white mocha with caramel along with a s'mores cookie. Despite being really busy, they did a great job keeping things moving. The coffee was excellent; smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The s'mores cookie was a bit disappointing, but the quality of the coffee alone makes it worth stopping in.

Wow, once you step into this coffee house, it's like a different world. Bright, beautiful, and very spacious place. Made for very productive time working on our laptops and sketching. We got an Adeni tea, dragon fruit refresher, strawberry acai to drink and shared a pistachio milk cake! All beautiful and equally delicious!

I visited on Christmas and received a very warm greeting when I came in. The gentleman was very friendly. He even came to the table during my visit to see how everything was. It was very nice to have personal interaction. I had seen on social media the S'mores Latte many times and wanted to try it. I was exited that it was able to be made dairy free so I ordered it with almond milk. I also ordered a dessert while I was there. The Kataifi topping had me sold. Both were very delicious. The latte was not strong like some other places would make it. There was a perfect portion of all the flavors; not too milky or overpowering with coffee. The dessert was very light and creamy. The topping also had honey which added to the deliciousness. I enjoy everything in-house while enjoying the atmosphere. It was very clean and relaxing. This is a great place to catch up with family or friends or enjoy some time alone. While I was there I downloaded the app on my phone that not only gives rewards but allowed you to order in advance.

It's freezing outside today, and inside this store is bright and cheerful with golden light and a warm inviting ambiance. Quiet music is going on and lots of happy chatter. The place is airy and inviting. The menu is full of things I've never tried, but the coffee I got is fantastic, warm and spicy. I bought some cake, to take home, and didn't get to try it yet but I'm excited!

This was such a GORGEOUS place!!!! & The workers were SO KIND! This coffee shop/espresso bar has so many things to offer...coffee (obviously), teas, espressos, refreshers, kid drinks, & pastries! Me and my father decided to stop on by to try a milk cake and some coffee!! We both tried the pistachio latte (mine iced, his hot) & shared one of the milk cakes (there are MANY flavors to pick from!) we chose the Ferrero Milk cake and it was delicious... if you don't like a soggy cake I wouldn't try this! But I have always been a fan of the milk cakes! Our pistachio lattes were PERFECT! I loved the iced... tasted delicious on this hot day but the hot also tasted good... especially inside in the AC! I can't wait to try more milk cakes... & I think the Spanish latte might be calling my name next!

5/5 STARS!!! NUMBER 1. NUMÉRO UNO!!…read more WOW, QAHWAH HOUSE COFFEE is the best coffee shop in Cleveland and this is coming from a non-coffee drinker. I tried their Jubani, a light roast coffee and it is out of this world. Out of all the Yemen-based coffee shops in Cleveland, QAHWAH HOUSE is my favourite. HISTORY -- They are the original YEMENI coffee shop that existed in the United States, the first. They offer premium Organic Coffee from an 8th generation family coffee farm in Yemen. Qahwah House brought their coffee from Yemen to the United States in 2017 and have grown ever since with locations in over 10 U.S. states. They have 2 locations right now in Columbus, Ohio and 1 location in Cleveland. They are still expanding across the U.S. AMBIANCE -- Chic and cute. Beautiful inside with lovely light fixtures, amazing pictures on the wall of their famers handling the coffee beans, and an overall great design. Right in the center of the coffee shop on the wall is a lovely map of the world that shows the distribution of coffee over the years. TEA/COFFEE -- Their coffee beans are hand picked by humans in Yemen and sun dried on the roof of houses. The beans are a green colour and they use an elaborate and specific process to grind/roast the coffee. I tried the Adeni tea which is excellent plus I asked for light sugar. Because I sat in store, the tea came in a tea pot plus a small cup for me to drink it with. The tea pot is a great idea because it has a small candle underneath it to keep the tea warm. I was given a sample of their Jubani coffee which I absolutely loved. The Jubani is a light roast coffee with ginger, cardamom and cinnamon. The Jubani is very good and I highly recommend it. I'm not a coffee drinker but the Jubani blew me away with the taste. PASTRIES -- They also sell different types of sweet and savory pastries. I got a tomato and olive pastry while I sat in and it was delicious. I also got the Sabaya ($5) which is a light pastry that is supposed to have butter inside but I didn't taste any butter. The Sabaya comes with a side of what appears to be honey or syrup. The Sabaya tasted dry but I only ate it later that night or the next evening (I didn't finish it). SERVICE -- is absolutely outstanding, in my opinion. Everyone that I met was super nice and friendly. Tony, I think that was his name, explained to be the process of how the coffee is roasted in this big machine that sits right at the entrance to the store. He showed me the coffee machine. He told me so many interesting facts about their coffee and about Qahwah House in general which I've already highlighted/written in this review. When I arrived and told them it was my first time here but I don't drink coffee, an hour and a half later or so, I was brought a sample of their Jubani coffee. I was surprised yet happy that they brought me a coffee sample plus I loved the Jubani coffee. With friendly and excellent service, amazing coffee and tea, good wifi, and plenty of tables/chairs, I will definitely be back. TIP: There is a free parking lot. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 119/250 total reviews in 2026 - 960 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 6 June 2026

I've come a few times now and everything I've gotten so far has been good. My favorite drinks are probably the pistachio latte, mofawar, adeni chai. There's a promotion May 1-14 (2026) with their special (black sesame latte) where you can get 50% off of you order off their app. There wasn't an issue ordering off the app, the only thing is that if you order off the app, you don't get the restaurant pager/buzzer so you may have to check in at the register to see if they got the order, which is what I did since it was pretty busy. Ended with the black sesame latte which was aesthetically pleasing like their other drinks--though warning if you don't like the gritty texture like all black sesame drinks are, then maybe this isn't for you. Pistachio latte is still my favorite, but maybe I'll try this again with regular sweetness instead of light. Parking available and free as it's in a strip mall. Staff are nice. Really comfortable sitting space, plenty of tables with people socializing or doing work. Just be warned that it may not be the best working environment at night when more people come to socialize and also celebrate special occasions. Overall solid cafe choice for drinks/sweets/environment. Always full of people when I visit.

Parking can be challenging, there is a very small lot in front with 2 regular spaces and 1 handicap space; plus there are several spots on the street, all of which were full. I ended up parking on the nearby side street by the Burger King. Inside the cafe there are two distinct sides, the right side is set up as a coffee shop with the service counter, some high top tables and some comfortable seating; the left side is set up as a dining area with a bar. The decor is bright and modern with some touches of whimsy, overall very nice and comfortable, the kind of place you can relax and take your time. The menu is set up with a number of categories: breakfast, paninis, salads, wraps, flatbreads, wafflesicles and drinks. Prices are reasonable and there are some interesting items. I had a certificate for $20 so I ordered the Smashed Egg Avocado Bagel, the Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap and a big Chocolate Chip Cookie. The staff was great getting the certificate redeemed and guiding me through the menu. The food came out in a very timely manner, presentation was simple and straightforward. I had plenty of food for a very nice lunch. The egg and avocado bagel was interesting, the bagel was a bit soft for my preference, it was topped with a generous spread of egg and avocado mix plus some fresh spinach leaves. A very nice and healthy breakfast sandwich, a bit milder in flavor then I prefer, but good. The shrimp wrap was a good sized flour wrap around cold cooked shrimp with shredded cabbage and a great spicy sauce that perfectly complimented the wrap. This was excellent, the cool meaty shrimp contrasting with the crunchy cabbage and the zippy creamy sauce. I would highly recommend this if you like a bit of spice. The warm cookie was a great way to finish my lunch, very soft and gooey, packed with high quality chocolate chunks. About the only issue I had with the cookie was that it was hard to eat with just my hands, I ended up using the fork for most of the cookie. Jade Owl Cafe is a great local place to grab some high quality food, pastries and drinks. It is woman and minority owned, very well thought out and executed. The food is fresh and tasty, service was great and the overall experience was just what you could expect from a cafe. If you are in the area give them a try.

There was a giant garage door which will be so nice to have open in nicer weather!! We were also wondering if the mugs will be switched out for glasses when it's iced coffee season!
