@grayhousepies Easter Pies today!!! Such a great selection. Be sure to follow them on instagram We got the Apple and the Chocolate Chocolate !! I wanted the cherry hand pie. So very good.

All crust, very little fruit. The crust was inedible, tough and gummy.

Disappointed... I had been wanting to try Grays for some time, and just never got the opportunity. I was in the neighborhood on a Saturday afternoon, and was excited to final try their pies. I noticed on the website, that they had individual hand pies. I was thinking more in line of a turnover type pie, but upon arriving, they were actual mini pies, which was fine. Selection was limited, so I opted for peach. There were a few full sized pies to choose from, but thought that I would try the smaller version first. Glad that I did, and also glad that I only bought one. Upon arriving home, I proceeded to unwrap the mini pie, and I knew immediately that I was going to be disappointed. The top of the pie was doughy and gummy, and upon digging into the pie, I noticed it was dry and mostly dough, with just 4 thin slices of peaches. Upon tasty the first fork full. The crust was indeed gummy, and tough. I couldn't eat it, ended up throwing it away. I'm hoping that maybe the mini pies had been sitting for a while, and exceeded, optimum shelf life. I wouldn't take a chance and purchase a full sized pie, based on today's purchase. I won't return

The pies were great! The mini blueberry pie was deliciously fruity and a nice flavorful homemade crust and crumble topping. The mushroom artichoke pot pie was super buttery soft and the flavorful filling very hot. They have grab and go hot savory pies. The downsides here are that it is a mess inside, there are limited drink options (only full sugar Snapple- not even water which amazes me), there were no utensils or napkins, and the baked goods otherwise kinda stunk. The brownie was so hard on the outside I could barely bite it without risking my teeth. Inside it was somewhat soft. The shortbread with chocolate was also woefully stale. The brown butter chocolate chip cookie was thin and crispy on the edges with a soft center.

Oh me oh my what a nice tiny pie! If you've been reading my reviews you know I always love it when a place offers mini/sampling sizes (shout out to flights and pairings!). If it's smaller you can try out a couple different kinds, or you don't have to worry about much waste if you don't like something, or you can just enjoy one and your craving is satisfied without feeling like a gluttonous Jabba The Hutt. So I really like that Gray House Pies offers mini sized pies (they call them "hand pies") AND they have a lunch special (11a-1p) where you can get a mini sweet pie paired with a savory pub pie, slice of Detroit style pizza, or mini quiche for only $6! They also have a deal on Tuesdays where you get three mini pies for only $5 which normally costs double! I've never had sweet potato pie before, but I was glad I took the chance to try it out, very tasty! I've also tried one of the mixed berry pies, and a spinach and feta quiche. I don't usually like pie crust, but here the crust is so light, buttery, and flaky that I would eat this part first! I've also tried a slice of their Detroit style pizza and it was good as well. This style of pizza is rather thick and I think next time I will ask for a side of pizza sauce to dip it into. My only slight negative would be that they did not have any of the savory pub pies and it does not look like they make cream or specialty pies in the mini version. I could be wrong and they were just completely sold out the times I have been there, I'll have to arrive early and ask them next time I go. But other than that, I think their offerings are tasty, affordable, and very easy to heat up in the oven!

Great variety of delicious pies ! But overpriced for a regular apple pie , etc. Fancy cream pies are over $ 35.00 !

How many servings in a large quiche?

I'd say six, but everything is so good, you'd probably want it to be four generous slices because everyone wld want more. Everything there is wonderful. I live on near west side in Ohio City and schlep over there often. In my mind,no other product…

We wanted some sweets, but were pleasantly surprised to see that Chicken Paprikash was also available. It was very good chicken paprikash too. It tasted just like the paprikash my mom made when I was growing up. The young man that helped us showed us the pan that looked like it was packaged to take home. He instantly offered to heat it and split it to so we could enjoy the chicken paprikash for lunch. That was perfect and very appreciated! I'd definitely come back just for the paprikash on future visits home. The baked goods are the ones I remember from childhood, not fancy modern bakery items. The cases were filled with delicious kolaches, poppyseed rolls, pistachio bars, and various cookies. For dessert I had an apricot kolache and really enjoyed it. The filling was minimal, but the pastry had a great texture and flavor. There were many fresh baked items already packaged up for those in a rush. Perfect little trays of cookies to take to a party or the office. The service was great. It started great with the young man that offered to heat up our chicken paprikash. When my mom ordered her poppyseed roll the owner grabbed a fresh baked one from the back. Friendly and accommodating!

My Mom loved their freshed baked Vienna white bread, as she would buy a loaf once or twice a week. She would also buy a dozen donuts, especially when compa y came over. I used to ride my bicycle up close to their store front window and they had a real pretty lady working their named Pauline. If i saw her there i used to wink at her, as i road by the window. (I was only 9 or 1o at the time). Every now and then she would wave me in and give me a free donut. So i have very fond memories of growing up with Becker's Donut shop right around the corner on Miles Ave, near East 138st. My favorite donuts were the cream filled ones. Yummy!

A dozen is about $18 which isn't bad at all. The chocolate glazed yeast was also unremarkable. Not dry or stale or off flavored but just kinda there and not any kind of fluffy lightness you'd write home about. The crullers here are unique! Very rugated, soft, fall apart in your hand and quite tasty. Best in the Cleveland area and I'm not even a big cruller fan. The plain glazed cake had a great texture. Moist inside, some crispiness outside. But it had an offish kinda almost remotely lemony flavor I am not a fan of.
