The crew were very personable and helpful. The captain cruised us around looking for dolphins, which we did finally spot, and the crew pointed out some sites along the coast. As it turns out, all of the harbor seals, and sealions have names. We befriended one named Steve, he is much better at swimming than I am. He also taught me secret techniques to paddling. This one Pelican named Parry got into a barking match with some sealions, which is a fight he wasn't gonna win, let's be honest. Though I was hoping to see an M-A-N-A-T-E-E ... next time! If you're gonna go down on Haley street, where the dogs are easy and the sun is cheap, you never know just who you'll meet, on Haley. We had a fun ferry ride to the islands and even got to slow down to watch a large Sunfish (Mola Mola) snacking on some jellies. I recommend getting in line early to secure the best view seating on the ferry. Our kayak guides, Chuck and Adam, were exceptional--knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made the entire trip both fun and informative, while ensuring we always felt safe and well cared for. We were fortunate to have perfect weather and warm water, which allowed us to explore all seven sea caves--many of which are inaccessible during high tide or rougher conditions. It made the experience even more special. Having lived in Santa Barbara for 22 years, this was my first time visiting the islands, and it was truly unforgettable. The pristine landscapes, abundant sea life, and even spotting several tiny island foxes while enjoying our picnic lunch, made it an unforgettable adventure. Everyone was very friendly and made this one of the best experiences of my life. I was nervous when I arrived but as soon as I boarded the plane I was completely relaxed, no fear at all. I was living in the moment just looking at the beautiful scenery below. I have traveled to a lot of places in the world but looking at the coast and mountains from Palos Verdes and Catalina all the way to Santa Barbara and inland was awesome. Stepping out of the plane and feeling the free fall for a few seconds felt more like being in a wind tunnel and didn't get that feeling like in a passenger plane losing altitude. I was actually pretty calm and enjoying the experience jumping from the plane. It really wasn't scary at all and I wished it lasted longer. After the parachute opened it was a smooth ride all the way until we landed. One of the most beautiful experiences I have been fortunate to ever have.

Had so much fun hang gliding today. We took off at a little over 3500 feet and were able to climb…read moreto over 4000 feet. We were higher than the airplanes on landing approach to Burbank airport. We flew with some turkey vultures in the area. This is the closest experience to flying like a bird. My instructor has flown over 10000 flights so I was in good hands. Lately I've been doing a lot of daredevil activities and came across hang gliding. I previously did…read moreparagliding at La Jolla it was okay but hang gliding seemed to be more fun and extreme. I arrived at the glider port and then the instructor who was very nice Andy the owner came. We took a 40m drive to the glider port the team set everything up. Watched video on a iPad for quick training it was very simple instructions even kids can learn. We were up 35-40 high went fast, circled around and landed on the ground safe. Willie was my tandem pilot his landing style is very graceful and you land on your feet while Andy the former airplane pilot expert likes to land on wheels it was pretty cool. I'm really excited to get home and watch the gro pro footages of our mountain tandem hang gliding.

Amazing and fun!…read more Service: Great service overall, from the check in counter to the people driving the boat. A special shout out to Mark and Vinny who took us on the boat out to parasail. They were wonderful, fun, and professional the entire time. It felt both comfortable and exciting at the same time which I thoroughly enjoyed. Experience: This was my 3rd time parasailing and personally, this was the best place. The whole experience took about 1.5 hours so you have ample time to spend time on the water and soak in the sun while other parties are up in the air. It was a very fun experience overall and I will forsure be returning this summer. Parking: There's a Parking lot right by the boat rental which was very convenient. Finding the boat rental place from the parking is very easy too! Overall, 5/5 experience. If you're in the area in the summer or want to do an exciting activity, this is it! This was my first time going parasailing and OMG!! I definitely had a lot of fun and really enjoyed…read morethe experience!! I really enjoyed how the crew members explained the whole process and what to do in case of an emergency, especially when you're up so high. I also felt very secure with the harnesses and with how they distributed all 3 of us across the parasail bar. Once we were up in the air, it was so peaceful and nice to just take everything in and experience being so high above the ocean. And best of all, we were able to spot a seal swimming by, which was really cool! Apparently, we were the only parasailers from our little boat crew who got to see marine life while up above lol. For our ride, we also ended up getting the photo package. Upon viewing the photos, I thought they were alright. I think maybe next time, I'd just go without getting the photo package :/ But other than that, everything was pretty nice! :)

My only problem was the picture package and I didn't feel it was worth the price. If I were to do it again I would definitely bring another person to take video and pictures. A once-in-a-lifetime experience! I was always curious to try parasailing, so I had to check it out…read morewhile in Catalina. I was running late, so I called to see if they would be able to wait for me. They could only promise to wait until the scheduled takeoff time. Luckily, I made it five minutes before! I completed the liability forms, and then we boarded the boat. The guys explained the safety rules and what we would be doing. One person drives the boat while another helps you get geared up and assists with takeoff. The whole process was fast and easy. It's a really cool and unique experience once you're up in the air. I loved it! However, I did feel like I was cheated out of some of my time in the air, as everyone else seemed to get more time than I did. Maybe it was because I was the last person to go and the only one in my group. I also had to ride with another person because of the weight minimum and because it was a windy day. Overall, it was definitely a memorable experience and something I'm glad I tried while in Catalina. Don't forget to bring cash to tip the crew.
