Best day of my life!! Josh and Adam were the most kind, down to earth people I have ever come across! Hang gliding is amazing!!!! It's a subtle, smooth take off and then you are soaring in the sky. It's unbelievable and breath taking, truly. I think I might be addicted! I felt safe, secure, and at ease throughout the entire glide. Can't wait to come back again! Oh yeah, Josh and his team also helped plan the best proposal of all time in the sky for my fiance and I! They pulled it off and I was so surprised! So yeah do yourself a favor, and book this experience. Don't compare it to anything else, it is it's own entity of adventure :)

Needed to do something EPIC on my bday and the Windsports team delivered! It was so awesome meeting the team and their energy definitely matches with mine so that was a HUGE plus on my end. They are professional and FUN groups!! I had a tandem with Andy! Thanks for the fun, safe, unforgettable experience! Highly recommend them!! If you are nervous about trying hang gliding, give them a try. They will definitely make you feel at ease! From taking off to landing.

Had my first hang gliding experience with Adam yesterday. All I can say is WOW!!! Adam is a great instructor and was so patient with me. Excited to see the video. Can't wait to fly again!

I first gained interest in this when I saw their beach dune hang gliding...but after looking at the mountain option--I had to do that one instead! I live in Texas & had a group join me in to Cali for my bday. One decided to do it with me & the other two decided to be spectators. It was perfect, because the spectators had a nice park-like place to relax, send us off & capture our landings so they could be a part of the experience too. Both of our pilots were great--felt safe the entire time & enjoyed every minute of it! And I purchased the Go Pro Reel option too--Josh went above & beyond to put together an amazing reel that captured my entire experience--including my loved ones that joined and our instructors! If you're thinking about it--stop thinking & sign up already! You won't regret it!!

Wonderful experience! Great instructors who are very experienced, professional and fun! You have to check it out!

Great little adventure. My wife and our 3 daughters, ages 14, 17 and 20 thoroughly enjoyed our time with Josh and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for some fun. My youngest was a little nervous, but Josh is very knowledgeable and welcoming. After her first flight, she loved it. We also had 2 others from another group and enjoyed our time with them as well. Head on over and enjoy your day at the beach. When you done, there are plenty of restaurants nearby to enjoy and review all the videos you shot throughout the day.

I had an absolutely outstanding adventure taking my first flight lesson with Windsports Hang Gliding this past July 4th. My son and I were warmly welcomed by everyone when we arrived at the field on Monday afternoon. There was sense of comraderie amongst the members of the flight club. The ride to the top of the mountain was also an adventure in and of itself. Such majestic and beautiful views in all directions. Josh was my instructor and was a great guide and mentor throughout the entire experience. This crew of professionals is highly recommended.

I started my journey to free flight with Windsports about 3 years ago, and haven't regretted it once. In that time I've been to several flying sites in multiple states and I've gotten a sense of what many other major schools are like. I'm confident that no one does it with the level of safety, knowledge, and professionalism of Windsports. I cannot stress how thankful and relieved that I am to have had the opportunity to learn from some of the best pilots and instructors in the world. If you want to learn to fly, or if you just want to give it a try with a tandem, pick Windsports!

If your bucket list doesn't have flying on it, is it really a bucket list? Whether you were cruising the boardwalk and saw the grand wings of the condor gliding down the sand dunes, or like me you stumbled on a video of someone flying one of these things, you probably thought one thing - That looks fun! As someone who has done both the beach flights and the mountain tandems I can confirm, this is something you'll remember for the rest of your life. Whichever one you decide, the instructors make sure you feel safe and having a great time from start to end. It's impossible to be in a bad mood when you have flying superpowers! I would highly recommend getting videos, which you will end up watching over and over again. Now go do it!

Just went on my first tandem flight lesson today and had an absolute blast. I flew with instructor Josh who was a great guide into learning the basics of hang gliding. I highly recommend checking Windsports out if you're interested in a fun and unique experience like I always am.

There was also more to be said about the feeling of awe and the sense of just how small a microcosm we really are in this vast, beautiful, natural and manmade world. We chose the sunset tour, which took us in a loop from the east towards downtown, across Wilshire and back up to Hollywood. Our flight took off on time and the pilot was more than helpful in pointing out the major landmarks and celeb homes. I have lived in LA all my life, and it was still a thrill to be close enough to catch them working on the Hollywood sign, to see the familiar attractions on the Universal lot and to view the stretches and stretches of recognizable roads, freeways and towns I have so frequently crossed. Highrises from downtown, Century City, Wilshire Corridor and Hollywood sprung from a land of smaller buildings, homes and the occasional reservoir. I am no follower of who and what lives in posh areas of town, but the lavish acres of Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg - to name a few - raised eyebrows for sure! The tour was only about 25 minutes, but felt much longer. My only regret was having not done this sooner. Loved every second, and would not hesitate to return. The pilot was very friendly, as was the front desk receptionist/cart driver/assistant. The bare office was minimal and - yes - there were only the two people working. They had back to back flights, so if you are on time, you will wait and the office clerk will take you in the cart to their helicopter as it lands with the prior party, and you get in the helicopter as a passenger leaves, one at a time. It takes time for the helo to stop and start up again. The party after us was late, so we had to stay in the helo an extra several minutes for it to stop. Watching a helo "brake" by the way, was interesting. ;) The office itself is a little difficult to find. After you make a left onto Osborne from San Fernando Road, make the THIRD left onto Airpark Way (past the Fire Station). Keep driving up the loop until halfway up, you will see the sign for Adventure Helicopters. They have a code to get into the gate to park, which they should provide when you make the reservation. Hope you enjoy the ride as much as we did. :)

As a native of Los Angeles I was able to see places I go past on a regular basis from a totally different perspective even though one can say they see the same thing looking out an airplane window on the landing approach but that's totally not even close to the same experience. Going up in the helicopter you feel yourself elevating and it's nothing like taking off in an airplane. Pros: You get up to about 600 ft in the air and cruise at about 100mph. If you know your landmarks you can easily find your way around the flight path and at that height you're able to see activity on the ground clearly. The guy working the place, Vic was pretty cool and the same goes for our pilot who pointed out the notable celeb houses nestled around Beverly Hills. Cons: Only one. I'm a germaphobe so having to wear the headsets was a bit off putting, however, that was forgotten once we left the ground. Advice, if you suffer from motion sickness, I recommend taking something before hand. My girlfriend gets seasick and forgot to take something for it when we went up and wasn't feeling very well towards the end of the tour because the day we took the tour it was a bit breezy which was great for the view but there was definitely some chop which even affected me and I don't get seasick easily.
