Used VTS for my wedding, they where awsome!!! They worked with me and my wife to get all of our guests to and from LAX and from the hotel to the venue. The price was just right and the attention to customer service was excellent. As a treat they threw in their WINE TOUR!!!! Yes, for all you wine lovers out there they even have a very fun and elegant wine tour around several of the local vineyards and stopped at a cute little local resturant for a meal. It was the prefect end to our special weekend!!! My wife and I have gotten their Wine Tour Package as a gift for her parents as well... the cost was unbelievable for the quality and inclusiveness of this tour. Well worth every penny!!!! They picked up my mom way too early (4am) she needed to be picked up at 5am, she is wheelchair bound and not mobile, when they reached the location, they left her outside. Thankfully my father followed them and took her inside. Her pick up time from the location was 8:45am but she was not pick up until 9:30am. So about two months ago, my son started using the Ventura transit to get to his appointments. He special needs and has a lot of appointments and so do I so I thought it would be good for him to do this on his own and I accompany him once or twice. The first time went pretty OK but the second time the person was getting lost and confused. Just getting to our house. Then the time I took it with him, the person didn't know how to drive and almost got into an accident. She too, of course struggled to find our house and I had to give her directions. I even had to give her directions on how to get to his appointment where it was at. Shouldn't they know all that like an Uber driver doesn't ask you for directions right? So it's been going on like this for a little while, especially with them picking him up late, so he almost misses his appointments then taking an hour or two in order from him to get back from an appointment it literally takes him half a day for one appointment. The final straw was this morning when a guy called me saying their computer system was down. They didn't know who they were supposed to pick up and when and that they were getting him at 8:30 when his appointments at 8:30 all the way in Camarillo so I told the guy to cancel it that I would be taking him mind you this is 730 this morning. Luckily I was around and wasn't busy. Otherwise I probably would've had to pay a fee from the doctors office for missing the appointment like most places do these days. We made it to the appointment and after the appointment stopped to get a few things we needed at the grocery store. That's when my son got a call in his phone from somebody at Ventura transit asking him where he was and why he wasn't at home when he explained everything The gal at the other end, got all pissed off at him and started cussing him out. Mind you there was people around us, listening into the conversation, cause he had it on speakerphone how embarrassing that must've been for him. I was so mad I filed a grievance with Gold coast as well as Ventura transit anybody who's had a bad experience with them should report it as well. They need to really vet their employees and get people number one who speak English and can follow directions and be more pleasant with their customers instead of cussing them out. read more

I was to be picked up from a clinic in LA @ 2:45pm and was finally picked up at 5 pm supposedly due to a glich in the system and even though they called another driver to pick me up he failed to show up. I arrived at my house @ 7:15pm. I'm diabetic and only had something to eat at 9:30 am. My sugar dropped due to lack of food for almost 10 hours. I called and spoke to supervisor Janessa Navarro who promised to look into this issue for me and get back to me the next day and it has now been 4 days and have yet to hear back from her. I called today to speak with her and she kept sending me to her VM which was full and did not allow for me to leave a msg. So I called back and left a verbal mssg with a staff member @ 9 am today and I have yet to receive a call back. This is awful customer/patient service and it's obvious that they don't care about the patients who need to use their services or theit well being. I require this ride service as I can't drive myself to LA due to dizziness and vertigo otherwise I would never use them again! read more

I don't understand how this company is still around. Obviously the management doesn't care about reviews from public. I witness all the time their drivers parking their vans WHEREVER they want, blocking paths in narrow streets. If there were no parking spot and you have to load/unload patients, I would understand. However, even when there are plenty of parking spaces including the ones for the disabled, the drivers still choose to park in the middle of the streets so that they don't have to walk few extra steps to help patients. And it's unsafe for the patients if you think about it. You're unloading people in the middle of streets where there can be cars coming from the other side. What gives them the right to override safety and traffic rules that other people follow? My conclusion is either 1. VTS doesn't train their drivers properly and doesn't care about passengers. 2. Drivers did not learn properly from their parents. Their parents did not teach them they're not king of the world and they need to follow rules. Shame on you. read more

JANESSA the supervisors scams the state for medi-cal fraud for the company cause they bill cencal for fake rides. The drivers literally drive to locations and straight falsified pickups and drop offs. all her employees especially JARED talks trash about her cause when they need help she's never around so she's like a Pretend Supervisor that doesn't supervise. If I could give a zero star I would! Jared the driver is the most bitter person and the worst driver. He literally complains and curses at other drivers and tells all the riders that he feels sorry for us and we shouldn't take there service the whole way to and from appointments. I live in a friendly neighborhood and kids play outside and when he pulls up he calls children under the age of 8 little pieces of sh** Children that are innocent. But like he says His own boss is a C*** and scams the state out of thousands so you can't expect much from any of the employees. It's sad they defraud the most vulnerable in our society and because we are low income nobody seems to care. All we can do it just keep reporting incidents to the state and if anybody is ever so unlucky to ride with this company I suggest you record your drive cause that's the only way to prove their fraud and misconduct. I have filed numerous grievances against VTS/Smart Shuttle * Incompetent and extremely unreliable translation services * Vehicles are filthy and grungy * Personelle turn-over is continuous * Vehicles have broke downs 3 times while I was in them. * Have taken me to the wrong address several times. * No Show - 4 times * Constantly late, most times over 1 hour. Terrible, been with them for over half a year for dyalisis transportation 3x a week, and I'm now fed up. They refuse to answer their phones to give quality customer service and will have you waiting 1 and 1/2 to 3 hours after you try calling or try to reschedule. i have been calling them since 6:45am, i am still on hold now and it is 7:40am. i need to know what time they are picking me up this morning. they should have called me or texted me on friday to confirm. i am so annoyed right now. my doctors appointment is at 11:15. i have to get in the shower and i am disabled. I had a dangerous driver whose erratic, and unsafe,driving, and whose van with no seat belt, put me in bed for 4 days with incredible back pain. I had to reschedule my back surgery because of the unprofessional and dangerous ride. These people should not be allowed to transport medical patients. The all time worst taxi service I have ever experienced. I have been waiting over a hour and half for a taxi that picked up the wrong people and left me in the parking lot. I called this company to schedule a cab pickup 30 minutes prior to when I needed them. I confirmed twice with the dispatcher that they could be there because I had an extremely time sensitive appointment, and could have easily called another company if they could not make it. 10 minutes after the agreed upon arrival time, no cab to be found. I called the dispatcher, who claimed that the driver "did not hear the dispatch" and would be there in Another 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, I finally get a call from the driver ASKING ME FOR A CROSSTREET. I was already 20 minutes late and he didn't even know how to find my house! The driver missed my pickup time by half an hour, never even would have shown up had I not called back. Needless to say I was extremely late to my appointment, which cost both time and money. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

This is the first time I have written a negative review. Called to get info on the cost of a private van to LAX. The person who answered the phone was very nice and helpful. She asked how many people and how many stops. I didn't really think about stopping to pick up other family members. She said it's only $10 for each additional stop. Because the stop we would need was in Santa Monica I made a point of saying so thinking additional fee would be more. She said no it's just $10. I needed to confirm with my family so I said I would call back. Called back to make reservations. I was transferred to Paula. As I was giving her our info she tells me that the additional pick up would be $20. Told her I was quoted $10. She said because it was out of area it's more. I said I mentioned SM and was still quoted $10. In a rude voice "I don't know who you talked too. Do you have a name? " I said no but it was the person who answered the phone I recognized her voice. She told we , with an additude, well they don't know, it's $20. In stead of saying I'm sorry you were given the wrong information and honoring the price.The next thing that came to my mind was are they now going to change the cost on the first pick up of $175 so I asked if I could talk to the manager. And with more attitude she said she was. I said I changed my mind and she said well that's fine. I then said I think I will review in Yelp. She said you do that. (Shame on me) I ordered my pickup service for myself and 4 other girls on Saturday afternoon for Sunday 1:00am pickup. We were at out pick up spot at 1:00am and the service was not their. Giving them 15 minutes, I called the company at 1:15 and she said that she had ordered it, called the pick up driver and a different driver called. My 85-year-old aunt with Parkinson's was abandoned by the roadside like a piece of garbage after her driver showed up 20 minutes late and without a wheelchair ramp. She waited two hours to get home from her medical appointment, in pain and drooling on herself because she needed her medication. This was the 2nd screw-up, and she only used the service twice. Ventura Transit is the worst medical transport service I have encountered and has no business serving medical patients, the elderly or disabled living in San Luis Obispo County when they are based in Ventura! read more

They were contacted by my 91 year old mothers insurance company to transport her to her doctors. They were 45 minutes late then dropped her off at the wrong address. After many calls they never went to get her and take her to the correct place. Two hours later a different service came instead. My mother missed the doctors appointment. In fact she was very stressed out and confused. With bad health this could have made her sick. I do not recommend anyone using this service. Untrustworthy. read more
