Madison at BB 63 is a life saver!…read more I had recently decided to try a new salon (since my regular gal got crazy busy over at Lemongrass), so I went to a one-man salon on Magnolia, because he had great reviews! Unfortunately, although the guy was incredibly sweet, I asked him to give me a natural blonde balayage (that would fade well since I can't afford to go every month) and I got super chunky, brassy orange highlights. It looked like I had let my hair grow out for months, even thought I had just left the salon and paid nearly $175 (that included a hair cut as well, which he actually did really well so I can't complain about that). I was going to ask him to fix it, but he kept gushing over how "incredible it was" and how much he loved it, so I felt it would have been really awkward for me to say how much I hated it. So, immediately after I left, I frantically called around to other salons seeing if they could fit me in so late in the day, and most said no. Then I called BB 63, and Madison answered and told me to come in as soon as I could. Long story short, she took what looked like 3 months of new growth with chunky highlights and turned it into EXACTLY what I wanted. Needless to say, she now has a customer for life!

I received a text reminder for the appointment. Parking is somewhat limited. If the parking spots are taken, you would just have to park a little further down the road, which isn't so bad. Once I entered, I waited a couple of minutes before my stylist Tiffany met me. I usually don't have specifics in mind when I go for a haircut besides keeping my bangs because I want to trust their expertise. Tiffany seemed boggled by me not having a specific direction. I think because of this, she gave me a very mediocre haircut. There wasn't any flair to it. She also didn't ask me how I wanted my hair styled. Overall she didn't seem very personable or confident in her skills. In the end, I felt that I overpaid for a very basic haircut. Another con was receiving text reminders for appointments I never made several months after the original appointment. I called to let them know, but I continued receiving the texts. FYI This seems to be more of a color salon. P.s. this review was long overdue and the stylist that I had no longer works there so I might try again

My daughter's appointment was at 1:30 PM, and I was on the waitlist. She wanted burgundy, even though she has jet-black roots with blonde highlights. Mrs. D explained the entire process, told Kim (the colorist) exactly what to use to get as close to that shade as possible, and made sure my daughter felt confident and excited and she was all in! After the color process, Kayla took over, washed her hair, and did a beautiful blowout. My daughter is IN LOVE with her hair. I went in to get my grays covered, and Mrs. D recommended a gorgeous brown. The way she explained everything to both of us made it clear she is extremely experienced and truly knows her craft. Then came my stylist Jiya! OMG. My wash, head massage, and styling were TOP-TIER. Bought some products. Thank you, Jiya, for explaining how to properly use the products and how often. I really appreciated that. If you want your hair color done RIGHT, a great wash, and an amazing blowout, this is the place. My daughter and I will definitely be back. Everyone here is very friendly and they always make sure you are comfortable. They offer you refreshments while you wait and they have nice waiting areas to enjoy while you are processing. I called the Salon on a Saturday about 1PM and asked if they had any stylist there with natually curly hair. They said there was one working that day named Cathy, so I made an apointment at 5PM that day. We decided it would be best to shampoo and conditon my hair, style it straight, which is how I wear it most of the time, and then cut it dry in order to preserve most of the length as it was already fairly short. She accomadated my request to the letter and was very helpful with product recommendations for my hair type. I am impressed. The salon was clean and pleasant. My only minor complaint was that one of the stylist that she worked with kept glaring at me, which I found incredibly rude. However, I am used to that, so I let it roll off my back. That is the reaason for the 4 instead of 5 stars, but I will be going back to Cathy anyway.It is hard to find a good hairstylist that acutally listens and can do a great job like she did. and I am very grateful. :)
