When i visited Mexico, I wanted to get a massage. This place was so relaxing. On the top of the building is was where we had our couples massage. The windows made a great touch to the scenery. *both my boyfriend and I got a hot stone massage. The massage was lovely but there were a few times where I was burned from the rocks because they were being boiled in water. It's not a horrible idea, but they were given enough time to cool down so I had a few burns that lasted the night. My boyfriend is more sensitive than me so he asked them to not do the rocks due to how hot they were. We would definitely come back next time though! The ladies were very nice and concerning. Against my judgment, I got a pedicure after the gel I arrived with chipped off. I do not recommend. The lady who did my massage also the pedicure. They cut way too short, and a cuticle was cut. Inside is very quaint and well decorated; came here for a couples massage. Price was great (1100 peso cash) Masseuses are very nice and respond well if you want softer or firmer. I love that I was able to make a same day 60min full body massage! Much needed after days of walking everywhere. Either I got lucky or what but I was placed in the rooftop area and my massage therapist Nora was really good. This is a great find. We have been coming here prior to the pandemic and came back after it was safe to travel again. We love the location as it's in the romantic district. Also the rooftop is fun. Massages and body treatments are wonderful! My daughter and I did 90 minute massages and citrus scrubs and it was one of the best massages I've ever received. The scrub was relaxing (I'm used to Korean scrubs which are effective but anything but relaxing!) and my skin was so soft afterward (unlike Korean scrubs, they also apply lotion after you shower). My daughter had a facial which she said was very thorough. I also had a mani-pedi, which I would probably skip if I had it to do again. Their expertise is really in massage and body treatments. Facilities were clean and well kept and staff were very friendly. An overall great experience - especially if you're used to US massage prices! read more

I was initially very excited at the cost of everything. I signed up for a combo: a 90 minute deep tissue massage + 1 hr deep facial cleanse. The total was 1500 pesos. We had to go on separate days because of how much they were booked up. Our Airbnb was very close by though so it wasn't a big deal. The full name of this place is Venus Moon Southside Spa and has a ton of positive reviews on Tripadvisor. I went to two different spas during my short stay in Puerto Vallarta and Venus Moon was more rustic than Artepil, the other one I visited. I enjoyed getting massaged in the palapa on the rooftop here. Even without A/C, it kept the room super cool and comfortable. I got a 75 minute deep tissue massage with Zuri and she was excellent. I asked for strong pressure and she worked very hard to achieve that. She used aromatic oils and sprays for the mood. If I had only gone to Venus Moon, I think I would've been really impressed. The price is reasonable for massages (500 pesos for mine) but the price of facials were a bit inflated (closer to 1,000 pesos). You can pay with a credit card with a 5% charge. If you only have time for one spa, I'd recommend Artepil instead. read more

We had a fantastic couples massage here with Roberto and Alejandra! They were running a special for two 75-minute massages for 900 pesos, about $50 USD, which is a great deal compared to our resort. They do insist on cash for the special, which we grabbed from the ATM at the corner. The spa itself is small, and they schedule so that they space out clients well for social distancing. We were able to snag massages the same day, and didn't see another guest while we were there. We were able to choose where we had our massage, and went with the rooftop palapa. There are ceiling fans, no air conditioning, but we went later in the evening and the weather was perfect. I loved the oils and the scents they used during the massage; the burst of eucalyptus at the end was a nice refreshing touch, because otherwise I probably would've napped on their table for a while. They gave us complimentary little shots of chlorophyll water at the end, which was a nice surprise. I highly recommend Venus for your relaxation needs! read more

This place was sooo lovely. My husband and I got a 75min deep tissue couples massage. I had lost my voice from a little too much fun and they helped me out with some soothing run on my neck and back. The aromatherapy was a nice added touch. We opted for the upstairs open room and it was so peaceful. The music was a lovely touch to the sound of birds. Both therapist were great and professional. 60 minute massage was $450 pesos so we also tipped $250 pesos each for their hard work. Very professional and very near the Malecon.
