I love coming here to get my nails done, I still choose to come here even after moving out of the area. The couple that own this business are very friendly and attentive as well as the rest of the staff. Today I decided to finally write a review as I wait for my husband to pick me up. The owner told me to relax on the massage chair and wait for him-say less! If you come around a major holiday when you know people are going to want their nails done, call in advance to check wait times or schedule an appointment. Other than that, I can usually just walk in or call before coming in and either wait 10-15 mins (if that) or get sat right away! The have a bagel shop next door and Starbucks in the same parking lot so you can grab something and bring it in. Can go wrong with having your coffee while getting your nails done. Treatment unprofessional as a customer that has been coming here for 6 months to a year having moved from Ktown LA. Finding a shop was my desperate need. My husband and I were really excited to have found a new nail shop nearby. However I do see now why this place is rated so low. The service received was very sloppy, rushed and uncared for. I advised the technician several times how I would like my nails, she was very rude quick to cut me off and imply " yea yea " I'll make your white tip thinner when I finish... I'll file it making the white tip thinner. I have never heard of this ghetto and lazy technique.. the point was not to shorten my natural nails but to paint a thin line " white tip " it's really no way around doing your job. By the way these are my natural nails that I have been growing out healthy for 7yrs. Upon the conclusion of the 2nd attempt of the same technician trying to redo my nails by just taking the white tip off.. I pretty much had it figured out that she just didn't care to do the entire job over though the gel builder was not stabilized and consistent. When my husband and I approached the counter upon our last service explaining to the man in charge that the technician could not provide the simple services I requested " thin white tip " along with sticker ( Chanel ) design, including the gel inconsistency. We were brushed off given $10 off our total and told to come back if we wanted it redone...now this was done after the previous frustrating 20 minutes spent with the technician on her 2nd attempt as explained above. She attempted to correct my nails but couldn't quite. Instead she only made things worse is what I explained at the front desk, two coats of gel builder as you'll see the inconsistency in product and coverage. It would have been courtesy seeing that I am a repeat customer to have someone else correct the my nails. But fortunately the shops concern was that each technician had already been occupied. With customers waiting to be seen. In other words it felt like they weren't concerned at all just wanted my husband to pay. This is not how you demonstrate concern for existing customers. I for certain along with my husband will not be coming back here nor do I recommend anyone who cares how they are treated and serviced as customer care is not top priority whatsoever. I cried because my nails have never been this fugly .. it's really poor servicing !! I do not expect a response from this company nor any reassurance. Very clean facility. Unfortunately there are discrepancies in pricing. I went in about a week before to ask about pedicures for my husband (no polish) and the man at the front said $22. We went in yesterday for 2 pedicures and it was $32 for the standard without any polish (I got polish and it was the same price). They also upsold us because of calluses for $40/pedicure. This is a hard review to write because I struggled all day to make a decision to do the right thing. Speak up and not send a tip. Let me start by I have NEVER decided to not tip any service I have ever received in my entire life. And this experience is exactly why I will continue to support private nail techs vs salons. This was my first visit at Venus and I was excited but nervous to try. My nail girl was sick and had to cancel my apt and I fly out for meetings on Monday. So I went here based on a recommendation. It was minute since my last apt so I made sure to get the best pedi and Eva did my nails(gel x) I asked Eva before service was over can I Venmo or Zelle tip. It's what I have always been used to when i pay card. She said yes, zelle, no problem. (Side note, Eva did my gel x and this is the first time ever my nails took longer than my fancy pedi that had a 20 minute massage) Service was average to say the least. But no big issues. I was happy with the experience. I paid with my card and said I am going to Zelle. THIS IS WHERE IS WENT SO WRONG. I scanned the Zelle QR code and it took me to the Zelle app vs my bank. I don't know my password for that and always Zelle through my bank.. so I screenshot the QR code, opened my bank to send it while I was walking out. And Eva yells across the salon "How much did you send Jessica?" As I was literally typing into my account. I was so caught off guard and answered immediately "I'm sending $20 each" before I realized how inappropriate that was and how embarrassing. She then walked over to me at the door and was like "is internet the problem?" Like what lady? I said no, I don't know how to send through the zelle app I've logged into my bank. I literally showed her my screen which was mid zelle transaction because I was so caught off guard which I should not have done either: It took me a second to process this interaction because it felt so awful. I paused walked out front. Stood there for a second. Then immediately went to my car and drove off because I don't know if she was going to come after me outside for her tip that I was literally sending. I needed time to process and think. I pulled off and parked and had to take a minute to reflect. I first had compassion. I don't know what these technicians go through each day. Maybe a lot of people don't tip. And I'm sorry for that. I know that has to be hard. But what she did was not appropriate. I did not deserve to feel that way on a morning that was my "me time" and should have felt good. It was embarrassing and I shared information I shouldn't have. I should NEVER have to yell across the room how much I'm tipping ANYONE. I should NEVER have a technician looking at my phone while my banking app is open: Eva, shame on you. If you are not receiving tips maybe ask yourself why. Your service wasn't bad but it was definitely on the lower spectrum of average. My nails are rough underneath. (Which I can fix myself) and not one single smile. You even turned off my massage chair without asking me. I get it if it made your job harder but a simple can we adjust your settings would have been nice. $80+ for a pedi I want to use the chair. I came back at 6pm, I even was fine waiting 10 min for him to finish the lady he had in his chair, I understand he may be running behind, then the patron paid and he ask me to wait 30 more min while you took someone in front of me. Absolutely not! You told me 6pm. I rushed dinner so I could make 6pm. Squeezing people in between people with appointments, is fine, it's business, but not at a loyal patrons expense, I've been seeing Tony for a year. I'm very disappointed, not sure I will be back. I flinched and told her multiple times that she was hurting me, but she continued anyway. She even brought over another person to dig into my nail further, despite me explaining that I've never had ingrown nail issues. My toe quickly became red and irritated, yet they did not stop until the damage was done. I was told to come back in two days if I was still in pain. Depends on who you get. The pedicures and manicures here can be great but again it depends on the nail tech. Some are just mediocre. There are two I go to and like a lot because my nails are always great and the foot/leg massage for one of them is always soooo good! They have newer TVs and spa massager seats here. It's always clean. And I'm actually surprised that they have white chairs and decor for a nail shop especially since nail colors can get on these pretty chairs! read more

Been here many times now. Upon walking in I'm always greeted immediately. I recommend making an appointment if it's after 4pm on weekdays and always for weekends. The place is very well taken care of. New, clean, bright and inviting. I usually ask for Cindy as she does a wonderful job. The options for pedicures are great. The chairs are comfortable and new. They're very quick on basic manicures as well. And really have attention to detail. And if they missed a spot. Just mention it and they take care of it right away. Overall the pricing is a bit high. I've been coming here since they opened. I only come here to get their $80 spa pedicure. For those of you that don't know, they use special products that you would typically find at an upscale spa for their more pricey pedicure. Worth every penny. Just know there is extra charge for gel removal and extra charge for gel. All these cost are listed but they do not explicitly tell you when you're getting them. My new favorite technician is Cindy. She does a great job trimming my nails. She also does an awesome job with the massage. I ask for more pressure during the massage and she definitely delivers. Honestly, all the ladies that are still there at the salon now do a wonderful job with pedicure. I just think Cindy does a better job because she's able to do hard massages on my legs. read more

The salon is absolutely beautiful I went in for a pedicure and my husband decided to get one also. We were first time customers so we seen the new customer 20% off offer on yelp so we upgraded a little to get more pampered. The ladies encouraged us to upgrade since we had the discount also. The chairs the music and the ladies doing our toes we great! The ONE complaint I had was when I was paying at the end for our services. The gentleman at the register said he would only give us 10% discount. I told him why when the ladies told us we would receive the 20% off and they had it advertised on yelp? He said that offer ended last month!!!! Umm I think you have been only opened for one month. I was very uncomfortable and couldn't believe he was not honoring what was advertised on yelp and from his employees. Then he saw how I was upset then said ok ok I will give you the discount this time, even though the offer is ended. I proceeded to pay and was changed $2.00 for using a debit card???? Why????? Not posted anywhere and why is there a fee for using a card. I own my own business and do NOT charge my customers extra for using card. I booked an apt for the Honey & Pearl pedicure paid ($75) including tip. I was skeptical about trying a new place because I am a nail tech & usually do my own toes & nails but I wanted to treat myself & get a massage. Unfortunately I feel like I didn't get a massage the warmth of the hot stones was nice though. I did mention I would like more pressure but maybe he didn't understand what I was saying. I also don't feel the callus remover was left on long enough & the nail tech was not targeting the callused areas as much as I would have expected. This I did not say anything about. Especially for the pedicure being $65. Although I did like the products used I do feel moisturized. The scrub also wasn't being used properly. Scrub is used to exfoliate & it wasn't really used on the bottom of my foot in the areas that needed it. It was applied more to the calf area which did feel nice. The paraffin wasn't in a normal bag so it was only applied to the bottom of my foot. Who ever answered the phone when I booked the apt didn't seem to know what I was asking for maybe because of the language barrier. I said I wanted the Honey & Pearl pedicure & was asking about what products had the collagen in it & the guy mentioned something about Cbd & I was confused & it felt like he had no idea what I was talking about. After I sat down I was still given the service menu & asked what pedicure I wanted...The decor is very nice, the chairs are nice except the foot rest wasn't very comfortable, they also have a wide range of polishes which is great. I do feel this pedicure should have had hot lotion but if you want that get the Due spa pedicure for ($52) it's cheaper. I mostly chose the Honey & Pearl pedicure paraffin was included. read more

I am not the type of person to post a review or even complain but I am extremely disappointed in the service I received and would like to warn any person that plans on coming here. This is my second time here. The first time I went in I got gel x nails and the service was also bad. I asked for short gel x nails when she put the nails on they were long and I corrected the nail tech and reminded her I wanted them short. She said "no. long nails are better because you can file them short" long story short I walked out with long nails and thick gel nail glue where everything got stuck to the bottom of my nail. I gave them a second chance because they are near my home and I was only getting a soak off, manicure and pedicure (you would think easy enough) Keep in mind I still had my nails on from the first service. First, she tried taking off my gel x by digging her nail in between my nail and the gel x. I right away said no because it was painful from the thick glue. I don't understand why she would pull them off if I was paying for the soak off service. She proceeded with the soak off and I noticed she didn't take off all of the nail glue making my real nails look thick and she kept on saying "it's okay" I let her continue trying to be nice and perhaps thinking I was jumping ahead. She then starts coating them with nailpolish although the glue was still there. I brought it up to her attention and again she says " its okay, its better for you next time get powder. The nail polish is going to cover it" I dont understand why someone is telling me what to do when I am paying for a service and I am not being rude about it or demanding. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and when I saw my nails I was disappointed to see that not only did she not paint them right, but my nails were different sizes and some were thick and some weren't from the nail glue that was still on them from the gel x. I was so frustrated I just wanted to pay and walk out. When I go to the register another lady keeps on telling me I will get a discount if I pay cash and I tell her I only have a debit card and again someone else is trying to tell me what to do she tells me "its better if you use our atm machine to get out cash its only a few dollars and you get discount by paying cash" She told me it would be $80 with debit card and $75 if I payed cash. I pull out cash from the atm and proceed to tell her my frustration nicely of course and she tells me she is going to give me a discount of 10 dollars because of the bad service. In total I should have gotten a discount of $15 for paying cash and for the bad service, when I ask for the total she says $75. Umm the math isn't mathing. I was just so frustrated I payed and walked out. It seems to me they do what they want and what they think is best for you instead of giving you the service you are asking for and paying for. As far as how much she charged me I dont understand how prices change by the second. Its not consistent. I will never go back to this place again!!! read more
