Just had lunch with my cousins at Veranda to celebrate my sisters birthday. The atmosphere here is amazing. Beautifully designed patio with a nice bar in the corner. The food was delicious and tastefully plated. I loved the appetizer shrimp. It was so fresh and flavorful. The flatbreads were also amazing so was the beet salad. Let's just say the food was great but I can't say the same for the drinks or the service. But overall I enjoyed the ambiance and the food very much. It's also a great place to host parties. It's a beautiful venue.

I threw my husband's 35th surprise birthday party here on a Friday night. It was so much fun, and everyone really enjoyed the food, ambiance and entertainment! We will gladly go back for another event or a night out. Restaurant takes care of everything, and I didn't have to worry about a thing (cake was delivered to them and preset menu). Highly recommend especially summer time with live music!

I am NOT happy. I did my bridal shower here , the service toward me specifically by one server was very good but may i say i put desserts on the table and gave them a box of eclairs that were extra for later to put into the fridge about 20 of them in there we asked for them later to add more since people ate it and they returned the box from the kitchen with 7 eclairs in there! I had also received a gift from my maid of honor with 5 chocolates wrapped up and glued to the box and apparently one of the servers told my relative i need to take this chocolate from here and he took one! HOW DO YOU NOT ASK ME, How do you take something, what if it wasn't chocolate and it was a tiny sentimental gift wrapped for me.... thought workers are there to work not eat our food. On top of that - one of my aunts asked the server for something and he said "im not a server here dont ask me" then we see him cleaning up with the rest of the servers - so disappointing , they also charged 7 extra seats for the men coming later to clean the table fully before the men even came we asked them 4 times to warm up a couple of food for the men to eat and they didnt even do anything , men didnt even touch nor sit down to eat. So we paid extra 7 people for what?! Im just not happy with this place.

We had a great time at Veranda last night! The food was delicious and fresh, our waiter Misha was very friendly and provided us with the greatest service, was always there for us when we needed him! Oh... where to find words to describe the atmosphere at this place? It is just amazing, the lights, decorations, effects, etc They got some top musicians singing and playing all night!!! Such a joyous occasion was hosted at this cozy, newly remodeled and trendy restaurant/banquet hall. Hooray!!! My cousin and his wife had their "baby boy shower" at this location. It was a good choice and we had a blast. Newly remodeled and reopened under new ownership, this place has two banquet halls for all occasions. If you planned on having private parties, huge wedding or just a table for two they would accommodate. According to Russian and Armenian traditions: good & tasty food (tons of it)and drinks for everyone always a must. Honestly, food was very delicious, fresh and of course, tons of it. We had 3 types of salads. Arugula with beef tongue, shredded beets and carrots mixed with avocado oil, spinach and kale with nuts and cranberries. Than appetizers: shrimp cocktails, seafood delight, blinchik (crapes rolled with ground beef and fried) black & red caviar. For the main course: beef, chicken and pork bbq, rice pilaf, steak cut fries and salmon fillet. Waiters were excellent: polite, very professional and delightful. The dessert table, which was tastefully decorated (had to give credits to my cousins friend, who actually threw the baby shower for them) had the yummiest cake, cupcakes, Jell-O shots and chocolate "favors" Also you had an option of either live music, DJ or your iPod music (your own music idea works with smaller groups) Great place for great occasions, great food and great ambiance.

I just love this place. We come here at least once a week during the week and have AMAZING food and the entertainment is just unbelievable on their newly renovated patio. Highly recommend this place if you want to chill and have delicious cocktails and amazingly delicious food...entertainment is as amazing as the food.

Literally everything was bomb. Felt welcomed from the moment we walked in to the last second. The waiters were unusually nice and attentive!! They met all our needs as soon as it was asked. The food was soooo delicious- so much so that we've been wanting to come back for the whole week. The hookah was also good and lasting. Good food, good vibe, good place to hang out or party.

Wow, what a transformation from previous ownership (Mandaloon). Has spent there a night several weeks ago, I must say this is going to be favorite spot for local venues. Great food, great entourage, highly recommended. Keep coming back here and I like this place every time more and more. Unlike many banquet halls food is great here, really great . Highly recommend it, cant get wrong at all. New management totally rocks!!!! read more

The owner of this place needs to learn some manners and take ethics classes , very low class behavior with his employees in front of the customers! Treat everyone equally or at least not in front of the clients.. so embarrassing, it happened each time I went there, will never go back. read more

On June 21st I celebrated both my bday & graduation here. My friends and I had the most amazing time at Veranda. Their food, service, and musician band are high class level! We stayed until 2am & enjoyed every single second at this restaurant. Special thanks to the owners and management! Everything is just INCREDIBLE! I was recently there for my friends birthday party. I would give 3 stars for the food that was served and 3 stars for entertainment( traditional Armenian country music) Don't get me wrong- the artists ( 4 singers ) were very talented but the music was so loud I couldn't hear a word a person sitting next to me was saying . I wish they would do breaks between the entertainment for 10-15 minutes at least so people around table have chance to communicate. read more

About a week ago went to dinner, everything went ok, waited 45 minutes for drinks, but overall food was delicious. However, when I asked for check, I saw that they charged 18% already in my bill, which was about $50. They posted on bill as gratuity. So, when I sign receipt, I wrote Zero in tip line. Few minutes later waiter came to me and asked me if I liked his service, I said yes I did, and left about $50+ that was included in my bill. Then waiter said that gratuity fees are going to kitchen and bar workers...........so, I was literally forced to give him another $60 cash .......... In two words my original bill less then $300, but I ended up paying over $400. I didn't order any banquet menu, just dinner! This waiter ruined my night and my mood. I travel the world, always leave at least 20% tips everywhere I go and never had a waiter that had a guts to talk to customer like that......... very disappointed read more

Only groups of 2+! Literally kicked me out for being just 1 person SADFACE so super offended, it was incredibly mean! Here is my experience tonight (my 1st time!); I arrived; no one was at the desk on the 1st floor, so I came in and took the elevator up. A skinny little guy in a goatee wearing all black *sort of* approached; I said, 'Do you work here?' and he *sort of* replied positively, but did not seat me, so I presumed I should just seat myself and walked to a table not far from the elevator/entrance. After like 10 mins, a lady came over stating she was the manager and said they are only accepting parties of 2 or more (implying I had to leave). I have never been so insulted in all my life. I hope this business gets the kind of treatment it served me - 1 star. Didn't get to order any snacks, didn't get to take in the environment - only got to feel totally cast out. Extremely depressing. Do not come here or support this horrible place! read more

They escorted us to a table that allowed my wheelchair-bound family to stay out of any high traffic pathways yet also see the entire beautiful restaurant. The waitstaff and manager checked on us frequently and thanked us for our patronage. And at the end, the manager kindly helped me escort my wheelchair-bound family member to my car parked across the street. Wish I lived closer to give them business more often, but I've already told the rest of my family to come here when they're in town! I never write reviews but had to hop online to write this one.

If you order just the meat (not combo), you'll get double the meat and sides. That's not all, tip will also be requested when checking out. Our Visit: My family and I have visited Elena's before and had a good experience, which is why this visit was so disappointing. This time, we noticed a clear drop in food quality, portion sizes, overall service and an unexpected new surprise on the bill. I came in with my wife, our two young children (10month old and 2 year old), and my mom. Unfortunately, the pita bread was stale, a portion of my wife's chicken was undercooked, the portions were noticeably smaller than before, and the server completely forgot my mom's drink. Those issues alone were frustrating, but what really stood out were the added fees at the end, fees that were not charged in the past. We were charged a 20% "large party fee", along with an additional "service fee". When I spoke with the owner, he explained that their system automatically applies a large party charge to any group of 4 or more people, including babies who don't even order food. That threshold seems unusually low, especially since most places consider 6 or more a "large party" and from my experience typically don't consider babies 2 years and younger as occupants. Even more concerning, none of these fees were clearly communicated to us beforehand. Being surprised with multiple charges at the end of a meal feels misleading and leaves a bad impression. To add to that, after already including these fees, the payment process still prompts customers to leave an additional tip. I've only seen this type of fee structure at higher-end restaurants and for more people, not at a casual spot like this, and even then it's usually disclosed upfront. If a business is going to charge extra, the service and overall experience should reflect that. My recommendation for Elena's, if you want to make more money, just raise your food prices so your customers at least know how much they're going to spend at the end. Not slap surprise charges at the end and force your customers to pay. On a positive note, at least they were playing Fast and the Furious on their TV. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL. Please be aware of their shady business practices.

We had a big event on Friday, and it was extraordinary. The way the waiters and the staff served us was phenomenal. The music was great and it had the crowd up for a while. The atmosphere of this great restaurant was awesome. Don't get me started on the food. They had the best appetizers. Restaurants like Veranda are desperately needed in Los Angeles.
