Loved the carefree atmosphere at this winery and vineyard on a Sunday afternoon. There was a range of seating options available for enjoying the beautiful setting, including high tables and stools, picnic tables in the grass, and comfortable adirondack lounge chairs with wide armrests that could be used as tables for our wine glasses and flight boards. The venue features live music regularly. Hank Terlaje entertained the crowd with lovely renditions of iconic tunes in various genres, like soft rock and pop, country, and oldies. He performed an awesome song list on the guitar and vocals, including Elton John's Tiny Dancer, Phil Collins' In The Air Tonight, I Can't Tell You Why by the Eagles, Dream On by Aerosmith, Come Together by The Beatles, Listen to the Music by the Doobie Brothers, and Total Eclipse of the Heart. He even took song requests and had the crowd singing out loud to classics like Sweet Caroline. We did the premium tasting, consisting of six different wines for $25. There were various snacks available for purchase, like dried fruit, trader joe's chocolate bars, pita chips, and even dog treats too. But we stuck with the wines, sampling a syrah, dornfelder, merlot, and red blends. So many layers of flavors. My fave was Bella's Reserve Merlot (2021). We purchased a bottle of Sophie's Estate red blend to take home as well. Nothing too fancy about Verde Vineyards, but we had a positive experience and appreciated everything this place had to offer. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon in the spring, the place was PACKED and it was a party. They had live music, so lots of people were there picnicking and enjoying the band. We got lucky and were able to snag one of two remaining picnic tables, it wasn't super close to the music, but great for us since we were catching up and chatting anyways. We started with a tasting where we'd get one pour at a time at the bar then head out to enjoy it at our table. Post tasting we got a bottle to drink while we enjoyed our picnic and the music. I didn't love any of the wines enough to bring them home with me, but it was nice to enjoy a bottle there for a fun afternoon. read more

Verde Vineyards tasting room is open every weekend (and Friday evenings in the summer). There is usually live music, and lots of seating on the patio and the lawn. They often have food trucks, and sometimes have special events (like wine and chocolate pairings). The place has a really family feel; lots of people come out every weekend. The vineyard is dog-friendly, and there are usually a few furry friends looking for pets and scratches. I haven't mentioned the wines - which are very good - but lots of places make good wine. We walked in here after going to Satori Cellars around Saturday a little before 4pm. It's first come first served only. No reservations. Both wineries are walkable distance. Parking is on the street. Wines were pretty good here. Comparable to Satori. Flavorful and bold. Not stingy with the pours. $15 for classic tasting and $20 for Premium tasting. We got both flights to try them out. We really liked the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, 2019 Regina's Blend, 2019 Bella's reserve Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tess' Blend. The Gerwurztraminer was on the sweet side if you like sweet wines. They use tasting cards here to keep track of what wines we have tasted. Plenty of shaded or non shaded outdoor seatings. You can also bring picnic foods here. There's 2 restrooms here. They also had a pizza food truck and live music here. We had a great time here. read more

Kind of have mixed feeling on this. The place is nice with indoor and outdoor seating and the wine was good, especially the Gewürztraminer. Incredible. However, the pours were super small. We are talking three sips max. Thus, we literally did an entire wine tasting in just over 10 minutes, which is crazy. read more

Second time here and this place does not disappoint. Most importantly, they are open EVERY weekend, unlike many local wineries that are open only certain weekends. They don't take reservations, but have lots of outdoor seating with adorandak chairs and picnic tables. If you have a larger party, I recommend you come around 12 or 12:30 since they get busier around 1:30-2. They have a small parking lot and lots of street parking. We did the tastings- our favorites were the Chardonnay and Tess' Estate Blend. Great service, super friendly people! Ron came out and poured a few of our tastings and told us about the winery and grapes - he was fantastic, but everyone we came in contact with was helpful and super nice! We brought our own snacks and bought a bottle after our tasting to enjoy on the property. They have live music most weekends and today Steve was there singing and he was awesome! Takes requests and played everything from Chris Stapleton to The Beatles to Chicago! Super talented and makes enjoying wine outdoors even more pleasant when you have a live soundtrack. My hubs and I were looking forward to a chill tasting after fleeing from another tasting room with a "singer" blasting and the wine trolley pulling up with screaming drunk women! Not relaxing. So I look online to find something else nearby to taste along with a charcuterie platter. Up pops Verde! I tried to call to confirm the availability of the charcuterie but no one would answer. Drove over. Packed with cars so we assume it'll be a cool place! We walked into the tasting room and inquired about the meat and cheese platter. A man says nothing and points at a refrigerator with pre-packaged random cheese and salami like from Safeway. Ugh. But what the heck, we will try it! Then the server behind the bar starts pouring out "tastings" and hands the board with the little cups to us with a laminated info sheet. So much for any customer relation or interest in the wines! Oh well. Let's find a seat. Oh there are none because there are 2 big loud parties going on. Hmmmm. Stand around until someone gets up and take a seat. The food was basic. No utensils or napkins. The wine was, let's say, not good. I couldn't even drink it but my husband tried to. Someone's music was blasting so we couldn't talk. I swear we were on Punk'd. Finally someone knocks over a huge slab of metal something onto the concrete which was sudden and deafening! By now my nerves are shot. I'm pissed I even gave this place a chance and paid for that stuff. If you want to go for a party or to play with kids, maybe it's great. If you want to relax with good food and good wine, this is not the place. Never again. read more

The best winery in the area hands down! i've lived in Morgan Hill for 16yrs . I've been to all the wineries out here . we started coming during covid and fell in love with their rose and sauvignon blanc in the summer . they always had LIVE bands every weekend , fun bands !! We then started tasting all the wines and couldn't pick just one ! This is a very active winery , with Happy Hour Thursdays for members, sunset sundays ( the most stunning views) , and special events . I joined the winery because the wine , events and staff ( Maggie , Ron, Diane , Nancy) are special. They really make you feel at home . The chardonnay is great , the sauvignon blanc is a steal , reds are delicious . i've been a wine member to 8 local wineries, this is the best one that gives you more than a wine . read more

Verde Vineyards produces some nice wines. The Classic flight ($15)gives you 5 tastes while the premium (I think, I know it started with a "p") gives you 6 tastes for $20. There is no indoor seating, but plenty outside under a patio, or on the lawn @ picnic tables or Adirondack chairs. You're given a card with which they keep track of what you're tasting. So as we chose to sit @ a picnics table, we had to walk back and forth to the tasting room to get our tastes poured. While it allows you to drink @ your own pace, you're doing all the work. Liked their red blends and cab Sauv. The staff could be more knowledgeable about their product. When asked what was in the red blends, they had to read the label of the bottle. There were only 3 different red blends, not that much to memo. read more

Verde Vineyards was an exceptional winery experience. Every wine I tasted, I loved. Very crisp. It's a smaller family vineyard however the outdoor lawn area has plenty of seating that's distanced from others.( yet close to the cellar) There are a lot of Picnic tables, lawn chairs and bar tables to choose from. The tasting room was very clean and wide open. Parking here is limited, cars are parked along side the road. We were able to bring all our own appetizers and snacks. Set up a small birthday picnic on one of their tables and enjoyed the outdoor views. Oh did we have a little too much fun! Great staff, all very friendly and constantly came around to check in on us. The owners came around to say hello which is always appreciated and welcoming. Live music, great company and good wine, can't get any better than that. read more

Rose all day! The best crisp Rose wine in South County, about $20 a bottle. The Red Blend was also my favorite and their Estate Cabernet was good. Lots of outdoor seating. You do not have to be a member to visit but you do have to call for reservations. This winery is a bit small but their vineyards are a cute kodak moment. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the sun and view of the vineyards. Staff was very nice and accommodating. read more

I have been here quite a few times. But my last visit I was extremely disappointed. First, I will say, they have a beautiful vineyard and tasting room. Wines are good too. The last time I was here, I was with my mother and they were doing a "happy hour". Discounted glasses of wine and bottles, and they had free sausages, chocolates, fruits, and chips. We opted to buy a bottle of the Sophie's Estate Blend. It was good, but when paired with the dark chocolate candies offered it really enhanced the flavor. The food was yummy too. But when we were on our way out, some man that was working said to my mother, "Next time spend more money here." Super rude! You never say that to a customer, AND we are wine club members! Mind you, we were only there for maybe half an hour, we also cleaned up after ourselves and it wasn't even busy. Plenty of open seating, so I don't understand why we were treated this way. Probably will end up cancelling our membership because of this. The other staff members that were there were friendly to us, so it was very disappointing to end on that note. read more

I had the opportunity to visit Verde Vineyards about a month ago for a tasting and really enjoyed it. It's an unpretentious small vineyard with very friendly people. All the wines I tasted were very good and we came home with a few bottles. I'm not a wine expert by any means, but I know what I like, and the profiles of these wines were very enjoyable. When I run out, I plan to go back to purchase more. They've won some awards if that means anything to anyone, but I couldn't tell you what they won. There are trophies in the tasting room. The staff was extremely friendly and made us really feel welcome. I can't state how important that is to me. A lot of places just don't make you feel like they appreciate your business. Not so here. I was greeted, smiles and handshakes all around and excellent service. The next bottle in the tasting was poured attentively and promptly. I've been to some tastings where trying to get anyone's attention was next to impossible. Not so here. Ron (the manager) and his wife were on point! There was live music on the patio, and the performer was very good! He had quite the repertoire of songs, and a great sense of humor. He took requests and his ability to transform any song into a very good acoustic cover was impressive. It's a small place, so it's not overly crowded with tourists. I appreciate that. The tasting room looks like it's brand new. The bar inside is nice and people were chatting and laughing. Looked like fun, but I opted to sit outside on the patio since I brought my dogs. Yes! It's dog friendly! I saw another couple there with dogs also. It's nice to have the option to bring your furry family with you! All in all, I had a great time. It's not a big touristy vineyard, which is what really made it so nice for me. It was a relaxing and pleasant way to enjoy a few glasses of wine with great music and a lovely view in the country. I highly recommend it for anyone trying to get away from the crowds and who appreciate good wine, music, and service. read more

Worst vineyard to visit and worst customer service ever. I don't recommend this vineyard. The wine is good but the staff is not knowledgeable and doesn't seem to want to be there. No one came to our table, to get us start with the wine. We had to go find the staff to get us start. They were not busy at the time and we were some of the first customers of the day. Also the staff just stayed behind the counter chatting with each other. The glasses we received were also dirty with dust and fiber. I had to clean my glass for the tasting.... I don't recommend this vineyard. They lack cleanliness and basic customer skills. read more

We have tried canceling our wine club membership multiple times. They keep on billing us and sending us wine. I had to cancel our credit card. We tried canceling before our November shipment but they sent it anyway. We have email and called multiple times. I had to dispute the charge for Februarys shipment since they charges us anyway.
