The owner & his pup were amazing, definitely stoping by again when we're in town!

The owner & his pup were amazing! Definitely stopping by again when we're in town! Plus the wine tasting option was perfect

Such a nice place! There's seating area on a lawn of grass. You grab your flight at a main station and take it to where you want to sit. I had the pleasure of enjoying some outdoor music. That was such a cool treat! I love that there were so many options you can choose from to taste. I tried the 2017 Aubade, 2015 Serenade, 2016 Syrah, Stage Right, and the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon. You get 5 tastings for $10. Really reasonable! Then you can waive your tasting fee if you get a bottle. I actually really liked the Stage Right so I took that one to go! Staff were nice. I really liked this place--it was very spread out and very beautiful. I'd come back. :)

    Lots of outdoor seating

We were looking at houses in gilroy and we wanted to stop by a winery to taste some wine afterwards so we found this place. The owner said we could drop in and it was a quiet day. There was only 1 couple inside but later another couple sat inside. A lot of outdoor seatings around the tasting room. I don't think we will ever need a reservation here. $15 for 5 choices of wines. There's a total of 10 wines to choose from. We got to try all the wines since I got 5 white wines and my husband got 5 reds. For whites, I liked the sauvignon blanc, viognier, chardonnay, and grenache rose. For reds, we liked the Pamela's Vineyard Carignan and Stage Right. They have a lot of Rhone wines and a few California wines. Most of the wines are from Santa Clara Valley like 10 miles away and 1 wine from Lake County. The winery dog is so cute and friendly. It doesn't let the football leave her side. I believe you can picnic here. There's a fridge with other drinks and food like charcuterie, cheese, cracker, chocolate for purchase. Lots of private parking space.

    Noe the friendly dog.

This was our last stop on our day trip. The place is cute, the dog is cuter! The owner was nice and gave us a quick rundown of his wines, he's also the grower. And he actually has 2 different labels served here. I really liked the white blend (Adube, I think?) but I wasn't a fan of the rosé. It was $10 for 5 tastings, so worth it as the property is cute and enjoyable while sipping.

Love coming to this small but quaint tasting room Very personable and friendly. And Noe the wine dog is so so sweet.

Love this tasting room! Very friendly and inviting. Wines are delicious as well as the wine slushies that get changed out weekly. Highly recommend this winery

The staff member behind the bar greeted us with a blank, deadpan stare (otherwise known as a "GenZ Stare") that made the whole interaction feel awkward from the start. When we mentioned it was our first time visiting and that we were excited to be there, there was no warmth, no enthusiasm, and no effort to tell us about the wines or the property. Even the pours seemed careless. I know this is Gilroy and not Napa, but I still expected a welcoming experience and better wine service. Unfortunately, both the service and the wine itself were disappointing. The best part of this place was definitely the beautiful grounds, which would make a gorgeous wedding setting. Maybe this place is better suited as an event venue than a wine tasting destination, but based on my experience, I would not return. The two stars are for the beautiful grounds.

We had our choice of indoor and outdoor seating, and opted for the nice covered outdoor patio. They had a good amount of seating in each area, and had a lot of shade outside, which is absolutely necessary in Gilroy. The patio and grass area was very pretty, filled with lots of plants and even a sculpture. The property is also next to a plant nursery, so that added to the beauty even beyond their property line. We were helped by Melissa, and she was great! They had two tasting flights of 4 wines to choose from on our visit, one of which included a white and reds, while the other was all reds. They did also have some extra bottles open, so they were able to make an all white wine flight for one in our party. The pours were a good size, enough to really get a feel for the wine and share a taste with others. Two of us ended up taking home the same bottle of pinot noir.

I started my membership back, thought we'd utilize the wine tasting. First time back in over 6 months they did not bring us a menu, did not tell us what we were tasting and that was not a good feeling. On out third pour same day- fist day back we were accused of trying to get an extra pour Aaron asked what pour we were on, we didn't have a response because we didn't have the menu, we were accused of getting any extra pour? Not our responsibility to keep track, and if you did an extra pour what is the big deal? The comment made us feel uncomfortable, we stayed and purchased a bottle from their reserved red wine. This Saturday we went with another couple and my granddaughter. All was fine untill our third pour, we paid extra for the reserved tasting and it was a splash not a tasting pour. We discussed if we should say anything at all, and we decided to ask for a decent pour. My husband went in , talked to Aaron, he declined and dismissed us. Aaron said we had a decent pour, even though he was not around to see what was poured?? Typically a winery allows more than the 4 or 5 tasting, how else will you know if you like it enough to purchase a bottle. If a winery treats members that way it's time to end membership, and we did. Staff is like family at S V, we got the cold shoulder once my husband spoke with Aaron. We paid for our tasting, tipped our server. We will not revisit this establishment again. It was a nice place till it wasn't We have too many wineries nearby to allow staff to make you feel a certain way.

When…read moreyou think of wine, you often think of heading to Napa or Paso Robles, but you'll never think that deep in the hills of Gilroy (borderline Morgan Hill), there's this small and beautiful vineyard. I haven't been to Italy but having seen it in movies, this place sure gives you the feels of having traveled that far for a glass of wine. It's a small vineyard with such an intimate and relaxing setting. The owners, Drew and Tiffany, are friendly, chill, and easygoing. Even though we've met them for the first time through a mutual friend, my husband and I felt comfortable talking to them as if we've known them for some time. They're very personable and well versed with their wines, and I love the stories behind some of the names for their wines. You'll also be greeted by their sweet and gentle black lab, Bear, who walks around saying hi to the guests. My husband and I both did the Estate Reds tasting as we love reds, especially Cabernets. I'm not a wine connoisseur at all, but I do like to enjoy a glass of wine here and there. The reds were delish, though I enjoyed The House (light) and Vino Nona (deep and bold) best. However, given another couple of years, I think Vino Nona would have an exceptional taste. And oh, you must try the Frozé (Frozen Rosé) or that I hope you get the chance as I heard they do run out of it fast. Such a yummy adult icee that is so refreshing with a good taste of the Rosé wine. I have 2 young boys, so I always love places that are kid and family friendly! This place is big enough for the boys to run and explore with areas for pictures and games. There's also a cute swing for anyone needing that nice picture to post. And one more thing, the portable bathroom is amazing! I'm never a fan of portable bathrooms, but this one is not a bit scary at all. It kinda reminds me of the bathroom on the airplanes but much nicer. Great escape for a few hours to enjoy with your significant other and/or with friends. Definitely nice place for small events. P.s. There is also a menu for light snacks, which I forgot to take a picture of.
