They are not a full-service Verizon location. Directed by the company website to return cable boxes and a router there. They would not accept, and told me to go to a location in Woodbridge. Yet I can recycle my phone there! If they cannot accept their own old materials, per the company's instructions and guidance, I wonder what they can do and how well they can do it. read more

I love Verizon. I've been coming to this particular store for years and when I am in town I come to this one exclusively, well once I went to the Old Town store. I love that you can make an appointment or just walk in. I was there to return an accessory I purchased for an iPhone 15. I was greeted, helped and was on my way in less than 5 minutes. Never enough staff. Didn't realize they took appointments. So those get service before those that walk in. Very frustrating. An hour later I'm still waiting. Also, they need to bring back seating. I have to give a shout out to Dedrick @ this location for helping me resolve an issue with my iPhone 12 mini; I was told by a phone rep that I needed to visit a physical storefront and it wasn't a smooth resolution at first, but with Dedrick's help, the problem was solved. This review is for the for his wonderful customer service. I'm only giving three stars because the store wasn't equipped with a restroom for its customers (you currently have to go next door to a fast food joint, which I did and no problem there but c'mon Verizon, have a working restroom available). This Verizon store is the best! Every time I go in there the staff are welcoming, professional, and above, all patient. In the last month I have bought or replaced 4 Apple devices. while this can be a time consuming process, the staff were attentive and thorough and helpful in transferring data and setting up the different devices. Gus the manager is great! and Philip in particular has been sooo helpful. in fact I keep coming back to this store because of the terrific service Philip gave me while buying a watch for my son. In order to receive my refund, I had to e-mail a Verizon Vice-President. (Google "Verizon Leadership," then contact the appropriate person.) The Executive Office responded to me via phone in less than 24 hours! Actual refund was received within a few days after that. Overall, it took 5 and a half months from return date to receive my refund. Still, this was a 1 star experience due to the run around and conflicting information from the Fordson Rd store, aka Hybla Valley, Alexandria VA location, as well as my time consuming experiences with the customer service folks at the 800 number, most of whom disconnected me, sent me to wrong departments, or duplicated previous unsuccessful efforts of their colleagues. Tip 1: Google "Verizon Leadership" and e-mail appropriate person after you have attempted resolution through store and / or customer service. Tip 2: How to Stay Connected to Customer Service: Insist that the original rep stay on the line with you throughout duration of call when you are transferred anywhere. PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE for me from FIOS for an online service purchase, not any specific store location. ... but Verizon is Verizon. ((1)) FIOS sale & installation was a "bait & switch" for me. I signed-up for FIOS based on the "free tablet" and "free Showtime" incentives, but at installation time, they "couldn't" do it as a package and their sales rep made an error. I think he lied to make a sale, since it was obvious from my first question that the tablet was what made me stop and listen to the pitch. ((2)) FIOS missed their contracted installation time window by 2 hours and thought nothing of it. I took time off from work to be at the house for the scheduled installation time of 1-5pm, but they did not arrive until after 7pm. The installer's supervisor was surprised that I was upset about their unprofessional service. ((3)) Although I ordered only FIOS TV & internet, at installation they said I had to switch the house's existing COX phone service to Verizon. We reluctantly agreed, but they are taking more than 3 weeks to switch the phone over, making our original ph# inoperative during this time. This also caused us to pay two phone bills for this month. ((4))The installer said the ph transfer would only require a couple of days. Again this was false info, just to salvage the order/sale as he was about to start the installation. ((5)) I called FIOS over the last 5 days,.... promises unfulfilled. Friday the called to say the phone transfer was complete. The rep even called the house phone as a test. I asked him what ph# he called. It turns out he called the temp #, not the COX ph# we were trying to transfer. What a f'in waste of time. ** These appear to be deliberate delaying tactics, really incompetent FIOS representatives, or a standard dishonest FIOS business model. **** Even if the phone porting issue is resolved, there remains the bait & switch. I want $ compensation. I'll actively post on Verizon's pages and on other sites such as COX in order to deter others from switching to FIOS. I have a copy of the contract to defend this posting. read more

I usually have a horrible experience at Verizon stores but really liked this location. Very new setup with tablets for the employees like at the apple store. Lots of options and friendly employees. We will see if it lasts since they just opened but for now it went very well. Helped my mother in law but and setup the 5c and they even exchanged her old crappy phone in exchange for $100 of accessories that she needed anyways. Bertha was a good salesperson but not too pushy at all. FYI, they have the new edge plans to compete with AT&Ts new deals. Not worth it all unless you're one of those people that needs a new phone constantly. Comes out to well over $300 a year for the newer phones. And you have to pay for half the phone (at full retail) to get a new one. Might as well sign you up for cloud or volcano insurance while we are at it. Or maybe a payday loan or lease a car. On the bright side they did up the cloud space and more GBs for the lower level plans and unlimited intl texting all for free. Anyways, this location is great so far! read more

The young lady that helped me was super duper awesome. My Pixel stopped working. It's a piece of garbage to begin with, I know. Anyways, she ordered me a new one and 17 hours later the FedEx guy was knocking on my door. To say that my mind is blown, well that is an understatement. She was very professional. Told me your phone will arrive Friday but there is a chance it could come Thursday. I didn't believe her, shame on me. It's on par with other Verizon stores. The staff is professional, store is clean and easy to navigate. Area's are labeled well and make sense. Phones are on the back right wall, cases on the back left wall. Customers can sign up for home services (fios, tv, etc) in the front right of the store. When you walk in, someone typically takes your name and reason for coming in, then let's you know someone will be with you soon. Bonus (which bumped it from three to four star) - several of the employees speak a second language, so if English is your second language I'd call here and see what the options are. There is also ample seating if you're the wing man, supportive spouse of a tech lover, or doting parent. read more

EPIC FAIL! Not helpful at all. If I could give zero stars I would. Will be ordering online. Alan was great the first time I went in. Had trouble with login, tried to fix it, had to wait 24 hours to go through, held the phone for me. Went in the next day to pick up, still had trouble with getting into account, was not exactly sure what-just told did not go through. Mr. "shrug your shoulders" provided no feedback or help what so ever. Came back AGAIN, waited why Mr. Chit Chat finished up his conversation despite people waiting, Mr. "Shrug your shoulders" came out, got our information, went to the back, several minutes later came out to tell us my phone was no longer there and they did not have that version at their store any longer. Did not keep my phone on hold. Did not call to say putting back, did not explain SPECIFICALLY what needed to be done. To be clear, Alan was great--after that, all went downhill. Do yourself a favor and just skip this store and go to another location or better yet, just order online. read more

Never use Verizon! I'd give them no stars if I could. We were moving out of the area so we requested disconnect service. All was good with that until we kept getting a bill for one month of service that came after the disconnect date. After 5+ attempts to correct with Verizon and a different story every time from their service agents, they are telling me have to pay because we didn't cancel before the start of the new billing cycle (which was 6 days before our disconnect date). They won't ever prorate it like a good business should. read more

Horrible service here. I came in to exchange an Apple Pencil that was brand new and packaged and would take no more than 5 minutes and was told I needed to wait an hour. They were too busy making new sale customers and bullshitting with people to work. Horribly managed store. No system in place for quick issues vs. sales that will take time. Just terrible managed. The manager Luis attitude was horrible. He argued with me and when I said his service model was bad he denied that other stores separate service from sales and basically said I was a liar. As a native of the DC Metro area, I've been spoiled visiting Minnesota. Service there is amazing and much better than many of the businesses here in this area. I visited the Verizon Wireless store at the Mall of America in July and the service was amazing. I have to admit that I never thought that was possible at a VZW store any place. I've never had that level of customer service at an VZW store in this area...until tonight. I stopped by the Fordson Road store after purchasing a phone online to do an "in store" pickup. The management and staff at the store are "top shelf". When I say that, that is a HUGE compliment from me. Most of the time when I visit a VZW store except for in Minnesota and this store, the staff make me feel as though they are in it for making the sale. I've never really gotten the impression that I or my business was important. The staff at the Fordson Road Alexandria store changed my opinion of VZW on a whole and I'm happy that I visited this store. I'm happy that they put this store at this location. The General Manager is the type of customer service manager that will make you want to be a repeat customer and even drop by and say hello (and see what new toys they have) when you stop next door to get your morning coffee. Ahmed, Jose and the rest of the staff have created an amazing customer experience that I suggest you take advantage of. From being greeted at the door (evening opening the door), to treating you like your business really matters to them. If you need a new cell phone, tablet,any Verizon Wireless product, the staff at this store has you covered, Give them a try and you'll be happy that you did. I came into this location very frustrated because I was having trouble with the trade-in of my iPhone 4s. I had already purchased the iPhone 6, it was told by Verizon customer service on the phone that I could bring my phone into any location to get the trade-in value. Once in the store I was told that my phone had appraised for a much lower price then Verizon customer service told me. To be fair it wasn't really the store's problem, but they sure made up for it. In particular, both Bertha and Aleesa worked with me and did everything they could possibly do on their end to remedy the situation, and went way over and above to work with me. Went there the other day to buy a couple iPhone chargers. Walked in and there was only 2 sales people on the floor. They spent too much time with 2 customers while several of us waited to be served. I didn't need help finding what I needed, but nobody acknowledged that they were willing or able assist me checkout - as I stood there for 20 minutes with the chargers in hand. I finally put them on the counter and walked out - I thought it would be easy but instead I wasted time!! Terrible business model. What a terrible experience I've had with Verizon in general, but this location most recently. My husband's phone had been broken for a while (the hole where the charger connected was broken and the camera didn't work). I went to a Verizon store to see whether I could surprise him with a new phone, but they said he wasn't eligible for an upgrade yet, or to upgrade via switching to a new plan. Which is fine, but he went in the next day and suddenly they were able to pull strings purportedly because he had been such a longstanding customer (we've been on the same plan for the same amount of time, but okay). Today I dropped my phone and the glass front shattered, with small pieces of glass flaking off. The phone still works, but the glass needs to be replaced (I have small children at home so obviously don't want tiny glass shards lying around). I went into the store today to see if they could help me get a new phone. They looked at my account, and again the story was no upgrade available in any way. I mentioned the deal they had given my husband, and they said I became ineligible for that when I dropped my phone (as though I had done it on purpose). I pointed out that my husband's phone had also been broken when he was offered the upgrade deal, but to no avail. They told me to just go find a refurbished phone online. It's weird how when I, a woman, go into these stores, no one is willing to help me in any way, but when my husband needs help, they can suddenly rustle up special accommodations for their longstanding customers. I don't know whether the misogynistic treatment I've received at these Verizon stores is coincidence or systemic, but I know for a fact I won't be using this Verizon store anymore. read more
