Instead, I reached someone around midnight who helped troubleshoot the issue. Even more remarkable, a skilled and kind technician--who had originally installed my internet years earlier--came first thing Sunday morning to replace the router. Throughout the entire process, Sean was incredibly patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. He took the time to pair our new iPhones with our other devices (including our Apple Watches) and made sure every setting was correct. What impressed me most was how meticulous he was in transferring all of our data and ensuring nothing was missed. Switching devices can be stressful, but Sean made it seamless and easy. He speculated that the entire keyboard might need to be replaced but couldn't be sure until he opened it for further inspection. We left the laptop, ran some errands, and 45 minutes later got a text that the laptop was ready. When we returned the key was fixed (was able to re-attach the broken key) and we weren't charged for the fix! First class and professional all the way. This small business gem is a bit hard to find (in a multi-story professional building) but we'll worth it and so nice to do business with a place like this vs. a big box repair establishment. We'll be back for our very next repair need, cracked screen, etc.

When my laptop died again, I called these guys up. They moved to seven corners. While I hate to drive, going here was a no brainer. I had a couple bad experiences fixing a phone in arlington, and it was worth getting in my car to get my computer fixed with no problems or repeat visits. They cleaned up computer and replaced the battery for $150. I have recommended this place to my friends, and won't hesitate to go back the next time my electronics fail.

I dropped off the hard drive and was told that I would get a call in a few days with a diagnosis. There are signs everywhere that there is a diagnostic fee of $59. If you get the work done, the diagnostic fee is applied to the price of the work. After a week of waiting I called to get a status. I called on a Saturday and was told to call Monday to speak to the tech. I called backkn Monday and was told the drive was too damaged for any data to be extracted. I paid the $59 fee. See snapshot from my bank statement. I threw away the receipt. I then continued looking and found a place to ship it to, free of charge. They received it and immediately contacted me back that they are able to recover data, maybe not all but guaranteed recovery. That is in the works as I write this review. This is why I didn't write the review sooner because now I know for a fact that they gave me wrong information. I would be totally fine and cool with paying a disgnostic fee to get a diagnosis. This place didn't give me that. For all I know they may not have done anything. They said the drive qould not work with any of their software. I qould be totally okay with them being honest and telling me this is what is wrong, you need these parts and it will cost this much and we do not do it. It is obvious they do not have the expertise or equiment to do data recovery unless it is simple but if that was the case I could have done it. In any event, I do not feel that this business is ethical when they charge you to tell you something can't be salvaged when I now know it can be. I am upset and sharing this so it doesn't happen to you.

LapFix wasted nearly $500 and hours of my time that I will never get back. My screen was splitting…read moreapart that required replacement that cost over $350. LapFix ordered the replacement, only to be sent the wrong product. LapFix re-ordered a correct replacement and charged me over $100 for labor. The replaced screen only lasted 2 months before splitting apart again. I'm not a hipster that drags my laptop around town and park at coffee shops for hours, my laptop rarely leaves my home. When I returned to LapFix they plan to order from the same supplier and will charge me another $350 to replace the screen. I said no thank you, at this point I might as well buy a whole new laptop. Hey LapFix, maybe you should change suppliers, they're probably selling you refurbished crap.
