The worst Verizon store in the area. My husband got a deal that he was offered an apple watch with a new phone. We wanted a different size and color. The sales associate said we could just bring it back and they would exchange it. When we did that, they did not have any in stock so the associate said one was ordered. We called several times and they kept saying it was not in yet. Finally my husband went into the store over a month later to figure out why it had not arrived. They said we had to come back when the manager was there. The manager said it was too late and that he would not honor the exchange. Even though it was their fault that it had taken so long. He refused and told us we could buy a new one if we were unhappy with the free one we had. One or two associates are good, but most are awful and the manager is a jerk and doesn't deserve our business. read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORE My first step when shopping for a phone is to always make sure you're dealing with a corporate store. The sales woman lied right to my face and said yes, at this location. This is a 3rd party store with no relation to Verizon other than their misrepresentations. Their name is actually Cellular Sales of Maryland LLC. Unfortunately the phones I bought my family as gifts needed to be returned. The store initially attempted to charge a $50 per phone restocking fee, which they attempted to increase to $250 per phone since the original packaging was not available. They would not relent and insisted I would have to pay. My issue was quickly resolved upon contacting the corporate store on Perry Parkway in Gaithersburg. A UPS return label was issued, and the phones were returned for a full refund. Not only did the first salesperson blatenly lie regarding the store's status as a corporate location, but the second salesperson never once offered to assist or even acknowledge that this simple return method was available. Instead, he took/pretended to take calls with his supervisor behind closed doors just to walk out and stonewall me, insisting I would have to pay $750 to return 3 phones. He refused to reactivate my old phone. I fear for the customer who will fall for a fraud like this in the future. When I called back to get a copy of my receipt for my records, I asked why this method had not been offered. The salesman responded that "Well, I wasn't really his customer." As if that matters, at all. Bottom line, this place is a chop shop for bottom feeding scumbags to sell phones with a lack of professionalism and integrity usually reserved for used car dealers. Expert, professional service. My phone seemed dead and Fernando would simply not give up until he tried everything to fix it and help me avoid putting out cash for the upgrade. When it it was the phone was not to be fixed he made sure I was aware of the pros/cons of my options for a new phone and even help me optimize my plan to meet the needs of my family. I purchased a new IPhone at the Verizon store on Rockville Pike in Rockville, MD. They handed me instructions to transfer my data. That was the extent of their customer service. When I tried to transfer everything myself, I had trouble. I took my phone to the Olney location on Georgia Ave. Steve helped me. He gave me the customer service I did not receive in Rockville. Even though I hadn't purchased my phone from him, Steve got me up and running. He was under no obligation to help me, yet he did. I highly recommend this Verizon Wireless location over any other location for prompt and courteous service. Thank you Steve. I would still be waiting for an appointment to get my phone working if I went back to Rockville. All stores are not created equal! Think twice about where you make your Verizon purchases. read more

Prepare to spend a day and be left with a "bait and switch". We went here to take advantage of Verizon's advertised buy 1 iphone 11 and get 1 free promotion. We find out that you need to add another line. That was fine because we planned on doing that anyways. Then, instead of getting the second iPhone for free, it was actually only 1/2 off because we weren't on the highest cost cell plan. OK. At least it is something, so we went ahead. End of first 2 hours as we waited to pick up our phone. We went back to pick up the phones. While signing the papers, I noticed the monthly amount we were being charged was higher than it should be. The associate said that we did not qualify for the 1/2 off because it was only if one of the NEW phones was the line to be added to the plan (even though the associate from the previous day said it was fine). There was also an extra $80 per phone set up charged that we found out about at the end. We asked to see the manager, the associate went over and spoke with the manager, then the manager went off and hid in the supply room, never to be seen again. I then left the store because I was going to lose my temper (which NEVER happens), so my wife handled it from there. She told the associate to keep the new phones and cancel everything. Instead, they applied the $360 discount and had to restart the process. If we wouldn't have told them to cancel, instead of saving $760 would have paid an extra $180 plus full price on the phones. After everything, instead of getting 2 iphone 11s for $760 (which was the promotion), we got 2 iphones 11's for $1,380. So we saved $140 instead of $760. Our only cost was the total of 4 hours wasted and the stress caused. Don't go here!!! read more

They scammed me. No transparency regarding fees. I spent hundreds more for the activation of three phones than I should have. They tell you at the very end about extra charges. Stay away.....they are not trustworthy. I complained to Verizon but they explained they have no authority over an authorized retailer (somewhat discouraging). read more

My wife came here to upgrade iphones for herself & our daughter. The sales rep gave her quite a deal -- in fact too good to be true. Once the bill came, wife was surprised & took it to the store for review. Turns out the rep told her many false things, and the store did nothing to correct our situation. Net: Our cost of getting the phone upgrades was much higher than presented. Advice to anyone deciding to shop here: review all plan details & costs with the store manager before signing any contract. I will give this store a NEGATIVE rating, DO NOT GO to This Store. We recently received our Verizon bill and found out that daughter purchased a phone WITHOUT our authorization. I spoke to the manager and the person who sold her the phone who said that an authorization was given. Authorization was NOT given and it is not appreciated for him to claim that we gave authorization. The sales person stated that we are beyond any action or return because it is past the 14 day window. This store MISLEADS costumers and accesses accounts with NO authorization in order to make sales. I would give negative stars if possible. This complaint is against Verizon Authorized Retailer - Cellular Sales. 18130 Georgia Avenue, Olney, Md 20832. On 1/5/19, we went in to this Verizon retailer to upgrade an existing phone plan and cell phone. While there, we were told that there was a buy one get one free on the Apple IPhone XR. This promotion was suggested and pitched by the store saleperson. He then proceeded to sell us additional accessories for both phones (set up fee $45/phone, cases, screen protectors etc). We subsequently learned that the promotion pitched to us had expired almost two weeks earlier. We were told that we either pay for both phones or returned them. I believe this store is purposely misleading customers by making false claims and providing customers inadequate information in order to make additional sales and charge fees. We spoke to the manager, and General Manager without any success. We returned both phones but they did not give back the traded in phone, stating that there was paperwork involved. I am still waiting for it. Do not bother with this scam. There is another Verizon Wireless retailer less than a mile away. Wireless Zone-3229 Spartan Rd. They are honest, upfront and do not charge bogus set up fees. read more
