It's been over 10 years since I've needed an upgrade to my phone (finally rode a phone out til it's death), and this place has gone downhill. Lower than downhill like beyond the grave site. I've only been to this location for any verizon issues and they sold me and my family our phones for at least 2 decades. I walked in and wanted to look at more samsung phones, guy whoever worked monday morning, February 16, 2026, was very rude, unprofessional, and 0 social skills and manners. I asked if they had more phones in the back (being the only 1 there at 10am), and he sassily told me he needs my phone number if he's gonna sell me a phone. I gave him it anyway, and he just walked off into the back, comes out and says this should be all we have in the front. 2 out of 3 samsungs were working and I was uninterested in them both. His response "hmmm is don't know what to do now" was pathetic, like dude sell me something or offer to order online a phone I want. It didn't matter he had his earpods on nor his name tag (hence specific time of encounter mentioned), but that encounter sucked. Don't waste your time here. I left and randomly went on a whim to the Los gatos location and got what I needed with ease and a positive experience. "Boo, Verizon at Eastridge!" You get all the thumbs down. read more

Eastridge Mall is central of Evergreen and Eastside San Jose ,CA. Eastridge has Verizon retail store which is of a 3rd seller. I have priorly made online store appointments a point of time when needing assistance of account statement billing. I would normally receive my statements in mail or being able to self print at home Appartment office in San Jose, CA at The Woods Appartments had service interruptions in June 2023-June 2025 that has not yet been resolved repaired or restored per self request that disruptions had not been of my calling. I would normally be able to print my statements from home safely when having need need of statements on document paper. But my access had been disrupted which had been unable to have the ability to. I don't feel safe or comfortable having send any local printing shop my account details information which is of private confidentiality of. So in store appointments are made to being able to retrieve information that I need. I Christina do not have a personal assistant assigned to myself, nor have I authorized of a personnel of being authorized to answering of any type of calls or placement calls of serving or emergency calls in my name per location of Appartment residence spaces. In Verizon Store at Eastridge mall customer services representatives are very kind, helpful, attentive to customer needs. I come here sometimes as well to charge up when I am in the area needing to recharge which location has plenty of in store accessories to choose from for purchase and customer seating waiting area that's very comfortable. Came to this location looking for help shopping for a new phone plan. The sales associate looked up my account and proceeded to upsell more expensive plans even after I told him I was trying to reduce the cost of my plan, not increase it. He claimed that the minute I turned on my phone, it starts using data so I should get a plan with unlimited data. I told him I have an old unlimited call/text only plan and I don't need data. He kept pushing upgrading to a new phone and plan. After I finally asked about the prepaid call/text only plan, he said he couldn't help me. What a waste of my time to be subjected to upselling and ultimately, zero help. Warning, Sales Person David and their team are not helpful but pretend to be. When I called ahead regarding promotion and prices, David answered my questions well but was not honest. The actual price was $80/month for the line that I wanted and not $70 as he stated. Later I find you only get the discount if you sign up for auto pay which he tells me at the end. He offered to pay off my phone but at the final end after everything he signed me up for an $800 rebate which he said takes 8 weeks to get thru email. And it did not cover the whole cost of the phone so he deceived me to commit. Then when I called Verizon, they couldn't find the submitted form which he claimed he did. The manager and other workers could not answer me and push me only contact David which the days I call he is conveniently off. He did not disclose I have to sign up autopay same day otherwise I get billed $80 and not the discounted $70. I also got charged for his help $80 to open 2 lines without him disclosing it. Unable to reach manager or David. I conclude this business here is deceptive and unhelpful and cost me a lot of money and time. Better off ordering on the website. read more

If you're looking for a great Verizon store to get the most out of your experience, look no further! I originally came in because I switched cell providers and needed to activate a new sim card onto my phone. In the end, I came out with a ton more knowledge than I had originally started with regarding my phone. Flex was the one that helped me take a look at some of the amazing deals that were currently running. Not only that, but he answered all of my questions and provided me with the most comfortable experience. Usually when I walk into these types of stores, I get really frustrated on the deals they try to sell to me or get paranoid about potential scams, but Flex really changed my perspective on that. Instead, he talked me through the things I would have never thought about that helped reduce the bill on my family plan (i.e., signing up for a business account, automatic payments, etc.). I even considered switching phones since they had a deal going on, but had to return it for my old phone since information can't fully be transferred from iPhone to android. During the process, Flex sat me down and went through all the important features of the android, did a price comparison and even wrote it down on paper for me to make sure that I was understanding everything. The return process was also smooth, and he did everything possible to make sure that all my questions, and concerns were addressed. Worker sold me a screen protector and told me it was life time warranty and that anytime it breaks go to any Verizon and they'll replace it for free. Only problem is that I've went to other Verizon stores and none of them honor the lifetime warranty so I have to go back to eastridge. Don't let the convenience of this store being in a mall fool youl. The employees here are painfully slow. I try to visit an official Verizon store when I can because I simply do not trust associates at authorized retailers. I came here to get a SIM card replacement and ended up with really slow service. The guy who helped me struggled to get the SIM card into my phone. Not only that, when I arrived home and checked my email I found that they had tacked on a monthly mobile protection program to my service, which meant they were charging me additional fees in which I did not authorize or give my consent. This is an extremely unethical business practice and I've actually seen the same thing done with I went to a different authorized retailer some years ago. They are notorious for charging you for things you did not sign up for, hoping you would not notice. Please stop doing this. You cannot simply sign consumers up for services and in turn rob them without their consent. read more

What a bummer this experience was. My friend and I came in to look for a new phone. Our salesman was Derek. First of all, the order of people being helped was very messy. A woman (name unknown) told us to wait outside. While we were waiting, people were walking inside and were being helped before us, again while we were waiting for our rightful turn. When our salesman was helping us, boy was he a good salesman, I'll give him props for that, but he he didn't discuss any prices at all. This was partly our fault, but Derek gave us all of these unnecessary add one without telling us of these extra costs. I second that the sales people at this store are very dishonest. Never go to an authorized retailer, they will squeeze you out of every penny you got. Only go to corporate Verizon stores. I came to the store during Black Friday weekend. My sister and I wanted to upgrade our lines. I've done this plenty of times in the 20+ years of being a verizon customer. 1) The sales associate said that because we were updating 2 lines, we would get the Hum device for only $1 with a $5/month service. Cool... Oh, except that he forgot to mention the device also has a $40 activation fee, $5 line access fee, and then a $5 monthly charge. I found this out after the fact when Verizon sends me my next bill summary. I had to call Verizon directly to waive all the extra fees. 2) The sales associate doesn't know how to do math **or** he thought I was too stupid to catch his intentional math error. He said he could get me a better deal on my data plan by switching me to unlimited $40/line for 6 lines ($240). He showed me my current total monthly charges come out to $380 (this total doesn't show my discounts). I told him actually, I currently pay $140 for my data plan and $15 per line for 6 lines ($90) after discounts for a total of $230. He tries to show me the math on his calculator by entering 380 - 90 = 290... He calculates that I'm paying $290 even after my discounts... Like NO DUDE. I already told you I'm paying $230. 3) The sales associate said that day was the last day for the $100 off iphones, making it a really good deal. After processing the purchase, he shows me the invoice. iphone 8: $660 set up fee: $35 data transfer fee: $35 activation fee: $30 (not shown, charged on my bill) iphone 8 plus: $760 set up fee: $35 data transfer fee: $25 activation fee: $30 (not shown, charged on my bill) W.T.F. I ask what's up with all these additional fees, I've never had to pay this before. He says these are all standard fees and that any Verizon store charges these fees. He says, the set up fee is the in-store price but if you can *somehow* do it yourself and *somehow* figure it out online, then you wouldn't be charged. (pfff. as if it was rocket science). He also says that I can call other stores to confirm. (The next day I called Verizon customer service: they say that they only charge $30 activation fee. I also called a corporate Verizon store in the same area. I asked why do retailers charge all these fees? Corporate store response, I quote: "They're weird") 4) My spidey senses are tingling so I check the website for the iphone prices. Both phones are cheaper online by $60!! I tell the dude that the prices are cheaper online, I want a price match. He's like ok, let me call some people and see what I can do. He disappears for 10 minutes. He comes back tooting his horn saying that thank god he was helping us and not someone else because he was the only one with the regional and district managers' phone numbers. I'm just like STFU dude and just fix this. He kept saying how happy he was that he could refund $60 in fees and get us a $60 bill credit to comp the $120 difference. At this point, til the end of our experience, this dude is just gloating at how great he's been helping us. By the end, I'm pissed at how bad this guy tried to swindle me and how he thought he could charm me with his shady salesperson act. 5) I come back the next day (inconvenient. I live an hour away) to return one of the phones. My sister didn't want to deal with it so she kept hers. I thought I was gonna have to fight somebody, but luckily the sales people there that day were more reasonable. I asked for an explanation of the shady crap that went down yesterday. Here's the summary: -Authorized retailers charge $35 to set up your phone, Corporate stores do not. -The data transfer fee should have been waived and they blamed the computers, I had to call Verizon to get this refunded. -I would not be getting the $60 credit for the price matching on my bill because the guy before tried to fix it by processing a black friday discount the day after black friday. -The guy before was inexperienced and didn't know what he was doing. I wasted so much time at this store and on the phone trying to fix the mess this salesperson made. I feel tricked and deceived and my intelligence was insulted. The sad part is, he would have definitely fooled other people. As a daughter of immigrants, I know that my mom or dad would have believed everything he had offered. I have done this before and the service was complimentary, but this time the sales person said that Verizon instituted a new policy that this service would cost $40 plus tax. That is a COMPLETE LIE, I called Verizon and they told me that this service is still complimentary in corporate Verizon Stores, the sales person lied to me by saying that Verizon had changed their policy but in fact it is just the policy of this particular store because they are only an authorized dealer and not a corporate store. Yesterday I went to the store at the mall first time I was there. The customer service was amazing! Ivan is amazing! I really thought he was the manager at his customer service was phenomenal.... I felt like we truly mattered .. he was communicative knowledgeable, helpful and over all a joy to work with. My kids took to him and he made them feel so comfortable my kids made him laugh and were joking around with him. He has a very personable character. I am gonna refer everyone I know to the store he works at and I am gonna tell them to ask for him. Everyone was friendly there but he made it comfortable. I don't mind waiting to get service at this store. The customer service there is amazing. If he isn't the manager he should be! TLDR: VZW phone support took 5hours to do what Travis was able to do in minutes. Come here for amazing customer service. You guys. So I recently got a Pixel 3 XL and was having some troubles with completing the activation process. I've always done my own phone transfers and activations. And with the new Samsungs it was even easier so I'm not sure why I had issues. I called VZW customer support and I'm not sure where the miscommunication was but the kind lady on the phone told me I had to go in store to get a new sim card. I listened because we were both struggling at that point. 5 hours later we were still struggling so I decided to try a different Verizon store. The one closer to me was too full and low and slow on staffing so Eastridge Lp was my next best bet. You have no idea how it feels to see a familiar face, TRAVIS!!!!!. This good looking man used to work at your local Gen BBQ (multiple locations). You'll be happy to know those customer service skills have only gotten better over time. I was in and out of the store in less than minutes. It turns out the phone assist entered my sim incorrectly. He found the issue, fixed it, suggested phone cases and accesories, and sent me on my merry way asap. I should've just gone here to start. DO NOT GO HERE! It's a negative star not one. I just read the reviews and wished I had done this before going to this place. All of the 1star reviews are true. The services are horrible here but it's the rudeness, arrogance, and lack of tact are what you want to avoid and don't want to patronize. They are not trustworthy either. It really is a waste of your time. Additionally, it's unorganized, they make you wait for a long time, if you call one person doesn't know what another coworker did and won't take ownership of the mistakes. They blame the mistake onto an "another" worker. The salesman who was so rude to us was Hispanic, about 5'10" and weighs 180-200lbs. He wore a hat. He was arrogant and stated he did not need our business because they're doing great. Great is not a 3.5 stars rating with customers pointing out your lack of credibility and integrity in your services. He needs to learn what professionalism is. I noticed there's a consistency on all of the 1star ratings in the past three years : workers are rude. And the response from the general manager is a generic answer. It seems like the owner doesn't do anything about their employees to improve customer service. I strongly suggest you don't waste your time and money here at this business. When she asked for Vietnamese employee to help her, they said no then laugh, chatted something racist behind her back (she is good at listening but not speaking). Wtf guys? My LG phone's screen light wasn't working. Kamama identified the problem but unfortunately LG stopped making smartphones & there's no replacement despite having insurance plan. He offered a Motorola Edge 5G UW since I'm eligible for an upgrade. He gave me a trade-in for the LG to reduce initial cost since this was an unexpected purchase. Shocked that smartphones only include charging cable & requires a separate purchase of a wall plug since Apple implemented this on their iPhone purchases. Fortunately, my charger is working great without additional purchase. Kamama helped set-up new phone & transferred all apps & photos from old phone to new. read more

I traded in my iPhone XS Max 256 GB on November 5, 2020. The value of the trade in was $365. Instead of giving me a credit towards the purchase of a new iPhone 12, store manager Dereck Hernandez told me they will send me a check in the mail. It has been almost three months now, and we still have not received a check. I have left numerous messages at the store for Dereck to call me back. He has not returned not one of my messages. If I could rate this location negative stars I would. Heck they don't even deserve any. They ONLY provide any service at all if you purchase anything even when other stores would provide it for FREE. We have been loyal Verizon customers for the past 15 years. Recently I've upgraded my phone and my parents decided to take my old iphone. Therefore my parents needed assistance in activating my old iphone, which would require a new SIM card. However this location told my parents that a SIM card would cost them $20 while APPLE & other Verizon stores gave it to us for free. Countless times my parents have came to this store but they were always no help. They make Verizon company look bad when the company itself isn't. It's only this location that has HORRIBLE service.
