My wife was told there was a promotion for her phone that included a 100% free upgrade to a particular new phone. We did it, but began getting charged monthly for it. During numerous conversations through a couple months we were continued to be told it will be taken care of and the money will be returned. I recently stopped by this location hoping for some assistance with my phone. I suppose in their eyes a 2+ year old one is considered dinosaur ... But not to me ! It was just after they opened that I arrived and there were 3 representatives with customers...another outside smoking. Not one of them bothered to look up with even a good morning. Please take a seat and we/I will be with you shortly... Nothing! And so I sat & sat & sat. Meanwhile 2 other customers entered and again there was absolutely no one welcoming them either. . When it finally was my turn I explained what I believe to be a battery issue. The representative looked up my account and I was told since the phone is 2years old I would need to replace it... I said that wasn't something I wanted to do at this time...then I was told there isn't a battery for the phone... Really? Or do you just not want to replace it and sell me another with a new contract????? Obviously I wasn't going to get anywhere with this representative or another and I'd already been there for way over an hour to be told they couldn't help me. So I made it clear that the outcome was ridiculous... No response - complete poker face. I didn't even get that they were sorry they couldn't help me! Is that any way to treat a customer? Of course not! So I left...I got in my car, started to think and AHA! I would not recommend purchasing a cell phone from the Authorized Dealer known as Cellular Sales in Seabrook NH. They have stores around New England with their corporate office in Knoxville TN. The sales people do not remain in the same store location. The company bounces them from store to store in the region so when you return to the store for service or other issues the sales person you dealt with initially is never there and does not return phone calls when asked to do so. I have been around and around with this company from August 2019 through late February 2020 for issues my wife was having with her cell phone. She intended to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Note 10. The sales person put out an array of cell phones from an LG to a Motorola, to an iPhone, and two Samsungs Note 8 and Note 10. After repackaging the phones and putting them away she ended up with the Note 8. This wasn't realized until she had to go through the Asurion insurance for a phone replacement which they insisted that the phone was a Note 8 and not the Note 10 which she thought she had purchased. The original cell phone was replaced three times so far. It all started with dropped calls, being bumped off of my own WiFi and forced onto data costing me more money from our data plan, not staying synced to the Bluetooth in her car, not having the SIM card synced to the cell phone properly and eventually replaced, to the sales person giving out my personal cell phone number to another customer. That customer texted me complaining about her cell phone that she just purchased an hour earlier. She wanted to know what I was going to do to correct the problem and/or replace her cell phone. After having been back to the store more than two dozen times for various issues, we contacted the Corporate Headquarters for satisfaction. They took it under review which we were told would take 72 hours which turned into more than three weeks. The result, as you can imagine, was not to our liking. Corporate supported the store and it's sales person. My recommendation to anyone who wishes to purchase a cell phone from Verizon, go to a Verizon Corporate Store. These "authorized dealers" are only in it for one thing, SALES. Once they have your money, forget service and support. Their answer to everything is, "Contact Technical Support if you are having problems with your phone!" read more

Staff is nice, but for upgrading devices. Go to an actual Verizon store (Portsmouth), not an authorized re seller. They charge $40 per line on top of the upgrade fee Verizon charges. I'd stopped into this Seabrook location a few times over the last few years; generally, I didn't like going in. I felt like i was going into a shark tank; sales staff felt like they were more geared to making a sale than taking care of my questions. When I walked in a few weeks ago, the Brian F. asked me "How can I help you today?" (hmm, that was different). I forget why I went into the store, but the tenor of our exchange was so pleasantly different, I wound up buying a Pixel 3, which my son had previously recommended. Took it home and liked the new features, but had a problem connecting to the Android auto app.Went in and we confirmed that the problem was my battery pack. Easy fix. Then I had a problem with my HestanCue cooking app.....i simply couldn't connect it, even after calling HC and following all their recommendations. I asked the Eric M who was helping me that day if I could bring the equipment in, so we could troubleshoot and perhaps even call the manufacturer. I expected to get a "Not our problem" response. Instead, he assured me he'd be happy to help me out. Came back the next day, spent close to an hour troubleshooting, and he found and fixed the problem. Phone works seamlessly and, most impressively, the staff has really won me over. read more

If I had written this before my bill arrived then I would have given 4 stars but as you can guess, my mind changed when the bill came. I went in only to see if they could recover photos from my old phone and there was no luck there but not their fault about that. Unfortunately, I listened to the account spiel. My mother tagged along and had many complaints about her Boost phone and issues with them. I was persuaded to have her switch onto mine. That was also okay but not something I was super keen to do. The problem was I was told they had this "free" tablet giveaway special and that we could add the tablet for only $10 a month. I also was talked into this because I would have passed but my mother needed a tablet. We were there btw for over 3 hours. It started to feel like a sales pitch you hear horror stories about at timeshares at resorts. Anyway, bill came and nothing was correct. New price for my mom's line was wrong (despite me asking multiple times if she added in fees and taxes she clearly did not) and worst of all the tablet was crazy expensive. Not $10. In fact, in speaking with Verizon customer service on the phone they had no knowledge of any special with the table for only $10 a month so we were outright lied to by the rep at the store. Awful service. To waste all that time, think you're being thorough and triple checking prices and to get a huge bill after because the person either had no idea or knew and didn't care and lied. Very unhappy with the Verizon Wireless company as a whole. I had a problem back in June that is still in the process of being resolved almost 5 months later. I lost $350 dollars at the mistake of another employee that I never got back and the lady, Mary, who I had spoken to from Verizon Customer Service said I was supposed to get back over $100 refunded to my bank account which never happened. UPDATE: Full review below, but wanted to give a shout out to the Xfinity store in Methuen. Absolutely NO overselling, attentive staff, got us both into iPhone 8 Plus's for FOUR HUNDRED dollars each vs. the $900 LG's Verizon tried to push and the SAME phone service with the same data plan was $30 cheaper per month! It's a no brainer. If you want to be treated like a complete moron and be intimidated into the worst phone deals ever, I invite you to go here. Otherwise, I'd avoid at all costs. My partner and I had been planning to return to this store for several weeks with the intention of getting different phones than the ones we had (Motorola Z Droids- worst phones ever). For the first time in my adult life, my phone broke from a 2.5 foot fall out of my pocket, which forced the visit sooner. Also for the first time in my adult life, I carried insurance on my phone, so I wasn't really sweating the exchange. It was quickly explained to us that LG was offering a buy back on certain phones for a value up to $175-200 because of customer complaints on issues plaguing ours. They wanted to put us in better, improved phones. We owed $240 each on our current phones, so we could pay the outstanding balance of $65 each (which we had to pay in cash......?) and upgrade to one of two LG choices. When it seemed we were in agreement to get one of these phones (a V30), we had to leave to go get cash, while the salesperson went and retrieved the phones from a nearby store. In the hour it took to square away cash and the phones, I had plenty of time to review competitors offers, read reviews etc. and do the 'real' math on these phones (they like to talk in little amounts, monthly payments etc to avoid sticker shock). I admit that none of this initially set well with me because it was my intention to finally try an iPhone out for myself. I like to make a habit of asking a phone rep what their personal phone is to see what they are using. It was surprising to find out that the sales rep had an iPhone X, an Apple watch, and an iPad sitting on her desk, all the while choosing her words carefully to tear down Apple, call it a 'club' implying she wanted to call it a cult, claim it's gone way downhill since Steve Jobs left, lament all of the problems with her own phone and 'easily broken' apple watch, and tell us that all of her customer complaints are iPhone users. I'm assuming that her sales quota involved a heavy push on these LGs! When we returned I was well armed with some facts on how poor a deal they were offering us. The pub table to our left had three seated sales reps, eyes all fixed on us as I explained current offers from competitors. Presumably, the sales manager, a heavy set, dark haired gentleman (I should point out here that I saw no visible name tags, NOBODY introduced themselves by name, and nobody offered a business card during this entire transaction) also circled. When he saw that the deal was going south, or that the sales rep could not handle refuting the facts I laid out, he instantly stepped in. What followed was laughable. I calmly explained that, with the cash payment and new monthly payments (24) on these phones, we would end up paying $905 a PIECE with them, while T Mobile was currently offering the same phone on equal terms (24 months, good credit) for $696 for TWO. You read that right- we'd be paying $1810 with Verizon vs. $696 with T Mobile. Our original sales rep's entire neck turned crimson as the 'heavy' tried to start spurting out random speculation as to T Mobile's 'hidden fees' and leasing policies. We sat there while he tried to make up an $1100 difference that we'd 'likely' incur with T Mobile. When I told him the terms were seemingly the same as he was offering, he stated 'That sounds way too good to be true, you should read the fine print and look into it'. Then, he had the sales rep pull up T Mobile's site on her computer, looking to show us the lack of local coverage and argue connectivity issues. He stood there stone faced when the map came up SOLID RED with coverage through Massachusetts and most of New England (heck, most of the country!). When I pointed out the fact that they were on T Mobile's site and that they should just jump to the phone page and look at the competitor's offer while we sat there, he bristled, brushed us aside, saying 'No, we know nothing about T Mobile's offers or their fine print'. The audacity. That was the final straw and we agreed to walk out. The girl originally helping us had a very sudden and obvious change in attitude (she'd started out pleasant and attentive), simply wrote phoneclaim.com on a post it, slid it to us and said 'That's where you need to go to replace your phone'. I'm honestly disgusted at the treatment we received there, but absolutely proud of myself for standing my ground. read more

Went in to have them switch the info from my old phone company phone to my new company phone. Salesman tried very hard to push an Otter Box case on me when I clearly did not want that. Then he sold me a PureGear glass protector BUT didn't listen to me or chose to ignore me when I said this purchase was going on the company account. He put the $44.99 piece of glass on my new phone telling me how great the warranty was then told me to "swipe my card" to pay for it. I reiterated that it was going on the company account (for the THIRD time) and his answer was, "I didn't hear you, I don't have the capability to do that." I told him he needs to listen to his customers. When I got home I realized he put the whole transaction on someone else's account so I won't be reimbursed for the glass. Total incompetence. He was very pleasant and very efficient. I had my 8 year old daughter with me and he was very pleasant with her as well and kids sometimes can be hard in a store like this, lets just say on our ride home she told me that man who helped me with my phone was really nice, kids don't lie! I have never had an easy visit at either. I have been overcharged, not given everything that I have paid for, and spoken to disrespectfully. It's also just an "Authorized Retailer", meaning once they get you on their insurance plan you can't go back to any other Verizon store and Verizon doesn't cover anything they sell you. Seabrook Verizon Wireless did something similar to me like the other person. I Bought a new smartphone and accessories within 6 months or slightly more. The store people, They said they covered the warranty stuff. Well, the case broke within a month. It was junk. I came back and they said that it wasn't warranted because they thought I dropped the phone. But the clip on the case broke because I wear it on my hip. Anyway, I will never buy from here either. They were rude to me and said I broke it. No I did not break it because it broke on its own. The clear protective sheet also that they sold me for $40 I think, that didn't last more than a few days before it bubbled up. I returned and they tried fixing it but may more of a mess. I asked the third visit if they'd replace it. They said that I would have to contact the company and they wouldn't help do that for me. Wouldn't buy from here ever. Two years ago I bought an iPhone 6 from Verizon wireless. Along with the deal, I bought a rugged case and a PureGear glass protector because the sales person AND sales manager recommended the two. They also said there were a limited lifetime warranty for the PureGear but anytime I had an issue that would be warranty related, bring the phone in and they would replace the PureGear free, as part of the warranty. It's a limited warranty which means limited to the owner, single owner who bought the item. Otherwise lifetime guaranteed and this store said they'd replace anytime. Nearly two years passed, I should have returned within the first few months of when the screen protector bubbled up but life was busy. When I did return a few weeks ago, salesman said he couldn't help with replacing the PureGear. He did offer a replacement. No. I bought this here and it is warranted. Warning - Don't deal with this store! I have been trying to get a refund owed to me for over 4 months now. Andrew, the manager, has assured me three times that it has been processed and should show on my credit card within a few days. Needless to say I am still fighting with them for the $85 refund. This has been going on since Memorial Day in May. I can never seem to talk to the same person and I have heard a million excuses. They are NOT a Verizon corporate store but a franchise-like entity, and even having talked to the "manager." I have been lied to 3 times. I didn't know the difference between direct and indirect stores, now I do. GO DIRECT. I got screwed on a few things including 2 yrs. online with a tablet that I was told I wouldn't. Well my last straw was, my phone broke after a month and I ended up with a refurbished one and still had to pay the same for it, we'll I got my original box out, that also was a refurbished. I went in there because they are the closet store to where I live. My note 5 was saying no sim, the guy that helped me just took the phone and opened the back of the phone ( not a removable back) then automaticity said the phone is defective. Which doesn't make sense, he then somehow had gotten me to get a LGV20 al out 2 year old phone like if was a new phone. He tried to avoid answering my questions. He took my phone and gave me some credit which wasn't explained to me. Not even 24 hours went buy and I was back at the store because I didn't feel right about what happened. They told me that they already got rid of the phone and they had no way to get it back. They were rude and not helpful the next day, when asked to talk to the manger they told me they don't have managers. They charged me 40 for program and set up... shouldn't that be free when buying a phone? They wouldn't help me so I'm not stuck with a LG phone I don't want and can't use. Worst experience I've ever had. I just wanted my phone back so I could go to Best Buy where I knew they would help me. I will never tell anyone to go to those stores in Seabrook or Hampton. read more
