EVERY time I go into this Verizon retailer they are understaffed. Yesterday, I stopped by and they had ONE lady on staff helping a large family. There was also someone in front of me waiting. I stood around for 20 minutes before leaving. This is not the first time this has happened. Note to your training department.....if a sales associate is busy they should at least ACKNOWLEDGE the other customers that are waiting and give them some indication of what the wait time will be, if there are other staff members that are available or on break, etc. Just let customers KNOW what is going on. The sole employee did not ONCE look up and acknowledge me or the other patron that was waiting. TERRIBLE training. Be prepared for a long wait if you go to this store. I purchased a phone online, and figured it would be faster to pick it up at the store instead of having it shipped. I walked through the door, and there were two employees helping customers. It was hard to determine who was the employee and customer, as the employees did not wear any identifying clothes or badges. In fact, they were dressed rather shabbily. In any case, neither employee said a word to me, they just kept on with what they were doing. Eventually one of them got up to get something, and told me they'd be with me shortly as he walked past. Shortly turned out to be about 30 minutes. I stood and waited as the employees set up the customers phones, took their payment, and transferred their data from their old phone. It only took 5 to 10 minutes for me to get the phone, activate it and transfer my data. Either employee could have done at the same time as their other customer. I can't blame the employees. They obviously know their job. But the system that they have to work in needs to be improved. At the very least they need someone to greet customers and find out what they want. If they're just buying an accessory or picking up a phone, why should they have to wait a half hour or more? Next time. I'm having my phone shipped to me. read more

Classic used car dealership. I meet with salesman, get the "best deal" and later discovered I was sold a bunch of stuff I didnt need, he said would be easily undone. When I undid some of the upgrades I was paying for, my bill actually went up higher. When I called the same guy that sold me the phone, he brushed me off in a completely different personality, and gave me an 800 number. I was polite. I just had questions. The guy didn't even try to hide he didnt care. He got his commission. I am under contract and can't do much about it. Any person looking for buisness with someone you can trust need to look elsewhere. These guys are just looking for a commission and will lie to your face to get it. read more

Worse customer service ever, discriminated against my wife and we're so rude to veterans, I really don't see how they keep this store open. I've been a Verizon customer for over 20 years and I may switch services because of this store. They never have phones in stock and when they do get them in it takes two to three days to set one up. A complete joke of a store. And if I ever get talked down to like I saw the employees do to several customers, it will be the last time I step into that store. read more

This is probably some of the worst service ever. Super under staffed even on the weekend when it's more busy. My mom went there for something super simple and it was almost a two and a half hour wait! It was ridiculous and I completely understand why no one wants this phone service. Great customer service! My family was switching carriers, and decided to Hood River to do. Cassie was SO helpful and really took care of us all the way through. We switched over 6 lines, added a 7th, and got 4 new phones. She helped us switch over, set up our new phones, and everything in between. I purchased a buggy phone from Hood River Verizon. The store manager wouldn't resolve the issue without me talking to the technical support phone number. The wait time was over an hour the first attempt to contact them. I've tried calling back several times with no answer - eventually the number hangs up. No one on technical service line answers. I asked her to waive the restocking fee because we couldn't get through to the number- she told me it was store policy not to waive this fee. I feel like I purchased a new phone that came with defects and Verizon is asking me to pay for it. So far I've invested about 4 hours on trying to get my phone to work. Make the drive to Portland to get some real service. The kids that work here do their best, but if you have any issues, they don't seem empowered to make efectiva customer service issues to resolve. read more

Horrible customer service from uninformed staff. I went in to purchase a new iPhone. I forgot my Verizon pin a long time ago and knew going in I needed to reset it in order to add the device. So I called in before heading in and asked if they were an actual Verizon store. They replied "yes we are". I went further to ask if they could do everything an actual Verizon store could. They responded "yes we are an actual Verizon store" Upon arriving there I asked the kid working to reset my pin. He informed me that he couldn't, I would need to go to a Verizon corporate store to do that. SO THEY ARE NOT AN ACTUAL VERIZON STORE! They are an authorized dealer. This store has terrible service. I will never visit it again. They don't wait on you and they never have supplies in stock. I have gone in three times, waited for almost an hour just for someone to ask me what I needed. After I was able to be waited on, they didn't have any supplies in stock. I will never go back. I can drive to The Dalles and get very good service. read more

Normally I don't complain about people in retail because I have been one of them. But I have been having the worst experience with hood river Verizon. Went in there Saturday and there were only a couple phones in stock. Ordered a phone that was supposed to be there on Tuesday the latest. Sunday I went into a different store and found they had all their phones in stock. When I called hood River to cancel my order, they gave me the runaround and said they couldn't do it till the phone came in. Ok whatever. Tuesday came and I called after work, no phone. Called a few hours later, no phone. This whole time waiting around town.They said they would cancel it and call me when it came in. Never came in. Finally Wednesday comes and half way through the day I get a call saying its in. Got off work and when they answer, the guy had no idea who I was and wasn't sure if he had ever spoken to me. Apparently there are two people with the same name there. I explained my situation and asked to make sure it was canceled so I can finally get a different phone and unlock my number. The employee proceeded to tell me it would be at least an hour till he could get to it so he could help the other customers in the store first. I told him that was ridiculous that it was supposed to be done when the phone came in and I wasn't waiting around for him to get to it. He needed to cancel it and I would deal it tomorrow. He said ok and that was it.... Seriously??!!?!?? Where were this idiots hired from. Pretty sure they don't know how customer service is supposed to work. #stillnophone read more
