I just had perhaps the worst sales experience of my life. I would give zero stars, but that is not an option. I had ordered a phone through Jeff, a rep there, a couple of weeks ago and it was delivered today. When I came to pick-up my phone the monthly rate was higher than I remember being originally quoted (by $10/month). I did not have the written quote with me, but when I challenged the pricing I was told "that is the price, there is nothing I can do and I don't want to argue with you for an hour". I reluctantly accepted the new pricing, but then I was told that I could not buy the phone because he "didn't want the heartache" of selling to me and that I was being "aggressive". When I said that he hadn't seen me aggressive, he offered to check out, implying that he was going to meet me in the parking lot. Needless to say, I left the store without a phone. I have since recovered the original quote, and my memory of the monthly pricing was accurate. Jeff's behaviour was totally unacceptable and I would never go into this store again. I lost my phone on vacation in Europe. I went into the store and Juan was wonderful. He explained all my options and the associated costs. He was polite, professional, very knowledgeable and got me a new phone quickly. I managed to get my old phone sent back to me and I was able to turn it in and get a credit applied to the new phone. Juan took care of that also for me. Juan was excellent and I cannot recommend him enough. read more

This guy Humza is an absolute cheat. Please don't go to this store and save yourself. He rushes you without giving you the full information. Then asks for your credit card and charges you more than what he tells you. I'm my case he said he is going to charge me for a screen protector and sales tax on my iPhone 14. I assumed that's what he has charged. But when I got back home and checked the receipt there was an additional $30 dollar charge for Verizon mobile set up fees. I was never told of this "add on fees". Completely a fraud store, horrible experience. Will also report to Verizon about this. I am entirely fed up with Verizon on the whole but This "Verizon" store at Vinnin square single handedly pushed me over the edge. I had Verizon wifi for a while now (with my own router) and when YouTube TV cut NESN last year I decided to try and add a couple Verizon set boxes to watch the Bruins. What a disaster! The set boxes required a Verizon router to work so some tech came and set that up and I got charged for months for this dumb equipment. Today I went to return to boxes and unnecessary router to this store and as he's doing it he tells me my account needs to be canceled to complete the transaction. Now I also have no internet. I have lived in the area of this Verizon store for eight years....and in that time, I have had some pretty awful service -- and lately, some pretty outstanding service. I can speak very positively about Nick, although my encounters with him were somewhat brief. But Juan is just THE MAN -- thoughtful, smart, patient, resourceful. I was incredibly impressed with him. I had spoken with agents at other Verizon stores and even at the Apple Store in Lynnfield, but no one else came close to offering the kind of thoughtful support Juan did. He had to order me a phone that was out of stock and when it arrived, he called my wife (since my phone was out of service) and when I went in, he orchestrated a full transition, a complete purchase, the uploading of the iCloud data, the restoration of a troublesome password -- and had me in and out of the store in half an hour. I know that there have been difficulties with the Verizon here in Vinnin Square. But as long as you can get someone like Juan to help you, consider yourself in the best possible hands. And someone hired and trained him and made him available to us -- thank you to his supervisors!! Juan is a bright young man going somewhere. Thank you to him. read more

Awful experience bordering on fraud by store employee. About a month ago I went there to upgrade my wife's Iphone. While at the store we settled for Iphone 11 and were informed by the the salesperson that if we get it we would also get additional two items, a wireless charger and a phone case (or protective glass), neither of which we actually needed, but that came with the phone nevertheless. Upon exiting the store and reviewing the receipt, I noticed that we were actually charged approximately $80 for the accessories. When I called the store the next day to confirm and explain that the items were not needed and that they were purchased with the understanding that they were included as part of the deal at no additional cost, the person on the phone said that I could just come to the store and return the items. When I arrived at the store the following day, the same salesperson who initially sold me the phone said that the items are not returnable. When I insisted and pointed out that the items were only purchased due to his assurances that they came with the phone at no extra cost, he became incredibly irate and rude and replied "No one forced you to buy them." I suppose in his world misrepresenting the nature of the deal is fine as long as he doesn't actually force someone to enter it. When I called Verizon they were similarly surprised by the shady tactics employed by the store in order to sell their left-over accessories that likely sat on the shelf for too long due to COVID-19 closure. They even called the store, but since it is merely an authorized reseller, explained to me that they had no control over it. I am lucky that this only cost me additional $80 and took the lesson to heart buying my new phone directly from Verizon, a sale that this store missed out on. I also advised the rest of my family, additional 6 persons who used to frequent the store for their phone upgrades to stay clear. I am also currently in the process of filing a Better Business Bureau. To that salesperson, I hope this $80 additional sale was worth losing all this prospective business and meriting a BBB complaint was worth it. Buyer beware. read more

Walked in to continue my service with Verizon, no one in the store and Amber the sales person wouldn't get out of her chair to greet me, had to ask her what her name was and seemed annoyed that I interrupted what she was doing! After giving her my information her sales pitch was my bill was only going to go up by $0.21, that's after giving me no value for my existing phone and assuming I wanted the Galaxy 8, not the 9 or 9S that I would rather have. PSA: never do this but this is a warning against going to the Verizon store in Vinnin square. The sales person I worked with named Hazem S came across as helpful and kind but in reality tried to rip me off royally. It was disheartening to say the least. I managed to figure out quite a bit of his bait and switch but have since been on the phone with Verizon for hours getting credited for the rest. I've reported him and the store to Verizon. The 1 guy working here talks on the phone constantly, taking personal calls, goes from place to place over the store , and signs you up for crap you didn't ask for! He added multiple things to my account, tried to give me "free" stuff that has now cost and extra $200 and now I have to deal with real Verizon to get it handled. There seems to be a huge disparity in ratings for this outlet. Perhaps it depends on who you work with. In this case, Humza did great job for my partner, who wanted to upgrade her old flip phone for a new one I bought online. Everything went smoothly, until it came to downloading the contacts into the new phone, which refused to work. He worked diligently with the Verizon tech support and refused to give up until it became clear that it would never work for reasons he had no control over. But he did find an excellent workaround. So we were good to go. It took longer than it should have, but that's wasn't his fault. read more

Feb 16, 2020....2 of us went in today to switch over from At& T to Verizon, after much diligence before doing this....we decided "the deal" was good for us. However, after seeing another person and telling them what we were ready to do, "the deal", was not "the deal" we were told 24 hours before. So that is something to be careful of the upfront costs, they were significantly different than originally told to us. In the end Humza Elsiah did a really nice job managing the store alone as several people came in and out with lots of questions. He is very precise, patient and direct, really very polite and helpful and can handle multiple people in the store at one time, impressive really! It seems these big companies do not mind letting employees work like this, when they know the reality is that they need 2 people to be most effective. Anyway, my appreciation for Humza today and the way you were dialed into everyone in the store and maintained very professional and helpful skills the entire time. I can't believe these people haven't been shut down. Today I went there with my 10 year old daughter. We saw a phone on the Verizon Wireless website that we were interested to. We decided on a basic phone because she is only 10 and will only be using the phone to call my wife and I. We are well aware that adding a basic phone to our plan is cheaper than adding a smart phone. So we went into this store with a certain phone in our mind. Of course they didn't carry the phone that we were interested in. I asked the man there to show me what they had for basic phones. A couple of minutes later he comes back with 2 smart phones. He then said he would take a look at our plan and see what he could do. They said that adding a smart phone to our plan would be $40 a month and a basic phone would be $30 a month. They then said they could give us a smart phone for the cost of a basic phone. I didn't have a good feeling about this so we decided to leave and check out the Verizon Store on 114. When we got there we immediately found the found that we wanted and got great service on our plan. We found out that adding a basic phone to our plan would be only $20 a month. Right then I figured out that those guys in Swampscott were going to make us think we were getting a deal but we would be paying full price for a smart phone. Then the person on 114 found out that another we were paying the smart phone price for another basic phone on our plan (of course done in Swampscott). These guys are scam artists and I am going to spread the word about them and avoid that store. read more

Completely appalled with my experience here. Was told that I was being given a "fee iPad" thought it was strange, asked the man several times. He said, because we have being doing business with them for 11 years. Checked bill the service was attached, not mentioned as was the added insurance, that I specifically said I didn't want. I've been a Verizon Annual iPhone Upgrade customer for years -- this reseller had an iPhone 12 Pro in stock so I went to upgrade here. I went to this store a couple of days ago to get a new case for my phone and screen protector. The only person working there was talking on the phone the whole time. The store had absolutely no selection for cases but I finally found a decent, generic black case. I have a discount because I am a Verizon rewards member but the person working could not find my account to save his life! Finally he found it and with the discount the case and screen protector costed over $100! Today I found out that the screen protector has already cracked and I do not remember dropping my phone at all. It says there is a lifetime warranty so I tried that but you still have to pay a shipping and handling fee! I looked up the screen protector on amazon and it is only $10 instead of $50 at the store. Overall I got ripped off in a crappy, overpriced Verizon store by a guy who wear too much cologne. read more

He was incredibly patient, friendly and informative, and even stayed late to help my family of 5 switch from Sprint to Verizon. I just had a great customer experience with the Verizon store on Paradise Road in Swampscott. The young woman who helped me was both patient and knowledgeable. I had a aging iPhone that I needed to upgrade and she walked me through the data transfer process in spite of my lack of knowledge of my Apple passwords, etc. I'm back in business with a minimal inconvenience. The woman that "helped" me when I went in the first time to get a new phone was one of the rudest salespeople I have ever encountered. She seemed incredibly annoyed to be helping me and that I was asking questions. When I asked her to explain something about my plan, she gave me a look filled with disdain and disgust and said "I already told you that". Well. Excuse me for interrupting your life. She also gave me the wrong information, because when I went back the next day, a much nicer gentleman was able to help me out. He assisted me and provided me with all the help I need. Worst experience I have ever experienced in any Verizon Store! Verizon should reconsider authorizing this business because they reflect so poorly on Verizon customer relations reputation. In the midst of COVID Pandemic, my experience with TCC employee on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10 a.m. was that he was extraordinarily rude, unhelpful and hostile when I attempted to return Verizon equipment as directed by Verizon. There was an incredible lack of training of this young man in basic customer service skills by TCC management of their Retail Store located in Vinnin Square, Swampscott. He was rude, incompetent and arrogant unlike any encounter I have ever experienced at any Verizon Retail Store. I would absolutely not recommend doing business with this store. read more

Absolutely the worst service I've ever had, total scam artists. First their prices are way over the retail price of a regular verizon store, for example a retail price of an iPhone 6 is 660 they charge 760 then give you little b.s. Discounts to make them look better. Also I traded my iPhone 5 for a $100 credit, which I never received. Not only that is their restock fee is $80 where everyone else is 35 and even ontop of that they charge you for the SIM card which is suppose to already come inside the phone when you buy it. So basically I left the store with nothing and I am now down$169. The manager there is extremely rude and anyone that shops there will be ripped off by them. So in the end these people are thieves and I don't recommend anyone going there. Even verizon headquarters was confused about what they are doing there. read more

Stay away from this place at all costs. The salesperson team are dishonest and you may not have any recourse for their actions. Specifically they told lies about free devices being eligible without any update of a contract. In reality the free tablet given came with a two year contract and a ten dollar charge. The salesperson stated the tablet was free with rebate and would connect to Wi-Fi without any additional monthly charge. First time entering the store there were 3 guys working. The 2 guys we first saw entering the store were both to busy playing on their phones to even acknowledge someone walked in. I was greeted by a guy standing near the registers. He was very polite but that is my only good feedback. I wanted to upgrade to a new phone. I told him what I use my phone for and he told me the Samsung Galaxy s5 was top of the line. needless to say it was not! I download a lot of music.. my old phone had over 1000 songs and It still wasn't at maximum capacity ... I have 86 songs downloaded and I can't download any apps unless I delete my music.. the battery life is 10× worse than my old phone. I have to charge it twice a day.. AND, not even a month passes after I got this "top of the line phone" and the galaxy S6 comes out! Not impressed! My family has been with Verizon for 10+ years.. Doesn't matter what store, where it's located, you treat all your customers with honestly and respect! We are the reason you are a successful business!
