Not too long ago there was talk of the NEW cable company coming to town. SPECTRUM. At the time I wasn't a customer do it didn't mean much. Well, I moved recently and was in need of internet service. Unlike the other ISP's in the area the 200+ mb speeds that were advertised were actually available at my address. I did start my experience online by ordering the equipment I needed and picking up on the store. Walking in, I was greeted by still directed to sign in on a tablet. My name was added to a list on the screens displayed through the store and I took some time to checkout the new gadgets. Streaming decides, new cellphone (because they sell cellphone service now), and tablets. The new location is outside of the mall now but still in the Tri County area. It's like walking into Apple or one of the major wireless carriers. Plenty of open space, tables with the new tech and even a lounge area with TV. An over all good experience, reason for only four stars. A bit understaffed in my opinion. Being #7 in line took almost seven minutes to receive service. If your going to attempt to up-sale each customer make sure it doesn't backup the line. Setting up cellphone service is never quick.

It was to be shipped to me via FedEx on 9/3/26. Received a voicemail from Spectrum on 9/2 that said they mistakenly shipped the wrong phone and to call them. I called the number in the VM, and they said that iPhone 17 Pro 256GB in Blue was sent instead of what I ordered. They said to call back as soon as I received the package that day via FedEx, and that they would give me a QR code for a FedEx return label to ship it back and that the correct phone was being sent out and would be here by 5pm the next day (9/3). Received the package and it was indeed the incorrect phone (how did they know that ahead of time??) I called back, got the QR code to return it to them, and took that to FedEx and shipped it back. When the correct phone did not arrive the next day I called Spectrum and they had no record of the call. They said if I had received the incorrect phone I should have returned it to the store. They said I had been scammed and it happens all the time. They said that the scammers can change the caller ID to say that it was Spectrum who called, and that hackers can get info and see the orders. They were going to look into in and said I should call back in a week. I called back and they had closed the case as "resolved." I'm not sure why. They actually admitted hackers get in and this happens a lot! Now they say I am responsible for paying for the phone that I sent away. I thought about filing an insurance claim, because we added the Assurant phone protection to our plan, but I would have to pay a $399 deductible and receive a refurbished phone. I do not want a refurbished phone, and don't want to pay for 36 months on a refurbished phone, and pay an additional $399 for it.

A half mile down the road they have 10 MPBS ( not great but at least usable). 16 year customer at this location who paid for 10 mbps for over 12 years and they cant help me out? The speed that I paid for, registered far, far less than what I actually received. I switched to Spectrum, and their speeds are six times faster, with no interruption. Cincinnati Bell sucks, the only reason I gave them one star is because I couldn't post a reply with zero stars! Steer clear!

I called mid-day yesterday and was immediately connected with a rep. I didn't catch his name, but he was extremely helpful and the process was very easy. It certainly didn't sound like he was scripted, and he was completely honest with me the entire time. It was funny, my info was taking a few moment to processed, and I joked about how slow their internet was... Apparently most of the employees have it in their home, but they don't have it at work, so they always joke about how they should actually have it at work. (Makes sense, right?) Yeah, it sounds strange, but apparently the service isn't offered in their area, so they couldn't get it unless they expanded. Sorta interesting. Anyhow, I was really happy with the sincerity and the service I received. It was very personal and helpful - i.e. I wasn't treated like a moron, since apparently many of their customers are tech-savvy. I just hope their broadband is as good as their customer service... fingers crossed!

When I called ten (10) days later to ask why I hadn't received any equipment, my order had completely vanished. There was no record of the call or transaction whatsoever. The rep took all of my information, created a username, password, took my credit card - everything, and it was not logged in the system at all. The first phone call took fifteen minutes, and the second one was not any shorter. I am irritated that signing up for service was so ineffective - I hope the actual service is better. I hope I won't need to call again.....signing up for service shouldn't be this difficult.

There was one employee and one customer in the store when we went to just return our old phones. The employee did not even acknowledge us. We stood there for 10 minutes waiting before another employee came in for his shift. Once he clocked in, another 5 minutes had passed, and then he was able to help us. What should have taken ten minutes or less was an almost 30 minute ordeal. If the employee working had at least said "hi I'll be with you guys in a minute" we wouldn't have been so annoyed. But again- not even any acknowledgment. She should not be working in a customer service job at any capacity. They must be desperate for employees if they were willing to hire her.
