They offer a "financing option" called "SMART PAY". When my application was finalized the total amount was nearly double the cost of the laptop. The sales people were just as shocked as I was. They tried a couple of times and result was the same. They called a manager at another store to make sure they were doing it right. Both sales people admitted to having sub par training and not really understanding the process. Both were very helpful, tried very hard and I'm not blaming them. One even called the district manager to help out (no answer). I called Smart Pay division myself and was told that the numbers were correct. I said it was a rip off and totally disgusting, but they didn't seem to care. Radio Shack is taking advantage of customers who can't afford to pay up front. What a disgrace.

My wife and I just felt comfortable by talking to him, he was not pushy to make the deal, and he explained to me all pros and cons of the equipment to be installed in and outside my house, and asked my to talk to other installer before making the decision. I'am glad selected him to work on this project. They worked to my schedule and did weekend installation so that I can be home to tell my every detail of the installation. They even worked late to fixed all the bugs of my home network so that I can monitor my house via internet connect. All installation have done professionally. I took my iphone in for a simple 30-minute battery change. It left the store four days later…read moreruined. Neither the store personnel or management made any attempt during the four days to provide me with a single update - it was entirely on me to keep checking back and when I did I got either confusion or excuses. I finally gave up on these guys and asked for my phone back. No apologies or explanations were ever offered. I got my $30 repair fee returned but that doesn't begin to cover $700 it will now cost me to replace the phone. I took the damaged iphone to Apple and they think the RepairXpert technician damaged the logic board, most likely because he was ungrounded when he changed the battery. I wanted to like this shop because of the reasonable prices but incompetent work is no bargain at any price. Non-existent customer communications are also a big concern. Buyer beware.

During the installation, the valve blew and we ended up needing a plumber after hours. It cost me almost $400. Berger would not pay for any part of that, claiming it was not their person's fault. Neither of us could say for sure whether it was or wasn't so I asked if they would split it with me and they would not. Bottom line was that there was not an issue prior to this installation. As a local business dealing with a repeat customer the right thing to do would be to offer me something and they did not.
