I had to let off of Verizon.. You become a second class citizen if you buy the phone outright. But better service if you lease the phone. Example: I bought an 800 dollar phone outright and a unlimited data and text for 75 dollars a month. The service was terrible , I compared to people around me on how many bars they have vs me and it was night and day .dropped calls , I had to go down the block to get 2 bars . I go in to Verizon store they change the chip and still no good . Then they eventually tell me that because I bought my phone I will get worse service than some one that leases the phone. They begin to try to give me better service by downgrading data. I said no way I pay 75 dollars a month that's a lot and did not use the offer . So salesman tells me it's not go to go pre-paid..that means that you bought the phone outright and pay monthly..they want to make money by leasing you the phone . Do be careful..I changed to sprint pre-paid and it's way better service and price. read more

The Pearl River Verizon staff was FABULOUS. So caring and extremely helpful to us older not so tech knowledgeable folks. We're very thankful that we read the various "reviews" people left for this fantastic Store and decided to make the trip to Pearl River, it was well worth it. We were quite impressed at the way they found out our actual cell phone "needs", then made suggestions, as far as what phones FIT our criteria. Obviously, only using the basics, they DIDN'T push the high end expensive phones, but very affordable ones, that fully did only what we needed a phone to do. Shocking to find such honest and customer satisfaction oriented personnel in this day and age! Very bad experience with this authorized (not Verizon) store. I am an account owner and have my brother on my plan. He is mentally challenged due to 9/11-related injuries. Due to his condition, I have blocks on my account so he can not purchase/change anything. I have a security block requiring ID from me for any transaction. While at work I received a contract and bill from this store where the seller disregarded the security features and sold my brother a phone. The contract was made in my name. Without my signature. I immediately called the real Verizon who interceded on my behalf. Verizon stated the store used my brother's ID to fraudulently verify it was me. Horrible experience and very dishonest selling practices. Do not do business with this store! read more

No matter the day of the week, the time of day, everyone on staff is smiling, working hard as they treat you as though no one else is there. They take their time with you, explain things and not over your head! Selection of products is very good. Love the glass protector policy to protect screens. I was told by a coworker that this Verizon store in particular was great. So I headed over there to see if I could get some help with a phone upgrade. Right away one of the guys who works there asked me what I was there to do. He knew right away what I needed and had patience with me while I tried to gather all this info for him to do his job. During the downtime, him and an associate were super friendly with me, also cracked me up a good amount. Frank, the one who was helping me out, introduced himself and we got to talk for a bit. They made the experience more of a friend helping a friend thing rather than an oh man, I have to go get this chore over with type of experience. I really appreciated that. Ryan, another employee there was also really helpful. All of them were able to answer each other's questions or lend advice. I was in and out of there relatively quick and left with a smile on my face. They know what they're doing over there and how to please their customers. I used to go to a certain Verizon Wireless store somewhere else in Rockland County...It was worse than going to DMV. Wireless Zone is the jam. It's actually is a fun store to be in. I live in NYC and anyone that lives there will probably agree that the people working at Verizon on a whole are usually not the friendliest and/or helpful people on the planet. Which is why I love coming to the Wireless Zone in Pearl River. I've been here a few times and every experience has been quite pleasant and painless. My most recent visit was due to an iPhone casualty leaving my screen looking like a shattered mirror. Instead of running over the Verizon at the Palisades Mall, I took a quick drive over to Wireless Zone where I was greeted by two enthusiastic and helpful employees; Ryan and Steven. Ryan was my sales guy and he was awesome. Ryan did a great job of setting me up with the new iPhone 4s after letting me know that I was due for an upgrade and there would only be a $30 difference between the newer model and the replacement phone. He needed to migrate all of my data onto the new device so he told me to come back in an hour and I would be all set. One of the most pleasant dealings I've ever had when it comes to my mobile phone. read more

Walking in and out of here over the past few years as a customer has been more inviting every time. They have renovated and upgraded the facilities multiple times and every time is amazing. They have a fine crew of employees. All of them are knowledgeable, friendly and do the right thing by the customer. Love it, Love it!!! Every time I have been here the service has been AWESOME and am never disappointed. This time I arrived, I was greeted by Matt and Brian. I had telephoned before going over to see if they had what I needed and they had it and held it until I was able to get there. My daughter's phone was stolen the night before and needed to replace it ASAP!!! OMG, living without a phone is the end of the world (eye roll) Ha! Just imagine what life was like before cell phones... we survived!! I was due for an upgrade so I used it instead of going through my insurance where I would have had to pay $150.00 for a deductible and might have gotten a refurbished phone with 1 yr warranty. Matt gladly helped us and did everything needed to get this new phone up and running. He was EXTREMELY helpful to myself and daughter and we left very happy. I used to think this place was the best because I never waited long for service. Now I refuse to ever step foot in there again. Went in on a Friday near closing time to see what they could do for my broken iPhone (screen). The associate took a two second look at my phone, and told me that I shouldn't replace the phone through Asurion because it would not come until Tuesday and would cost $150. He suggested that instead, I come back to the store on Monday where they would do it "in-house" for $140. I came back on Tuesday (didn't have time Monday) where another associate explained that they do not replace the phone, they just repair it for $140 (which is ridiculous, Apple store does it for $129 and any phone repair stand in the mall will do it for $60-80). I told him I was misinformed by the previous associate and he said "That must have been Frank, I would really appreciate if you told this to my boss." So I waited a few minutes for the "boss" to be free, and explained to him what happened. Instead of listening, he kept interrupting me (about 5 times) to explain what I already knew (that they repair the phone, not replace it) despite me telling him "I understand" repeatedly. When I finally finished explaining to him why I was even talking to him, his response was "It sounds like you're trying to get Frank in trouble. We can't replace your phone so what you're telling me doesn't matter." This "boss" was insulting, passive-aggressive, and treated me like a dumb kid who came into the store with the sole purpose of making a complaint. All I was trying to do was inform him of a miscommunication in hopes of preventing it from happening to other customers in the future. I don't know how this guy got into a management position, but I will never shop here again because of him and his inability to talk respectfully to customers. read more
