Dennis at Verizon in West Nyack was great. Patient and understood my frustration with the new phone I purchased last month. He set me up w a new one & all is good now. My only complaint is that I had to go to the store 3 times before they would make the change. I had other salespeople that just played with my settings and discounted that I was burning through battery life saying that the batteries in the iPhone 16 were not as good as previous phones. Why You Should Move to Verizon After 23 years of loyalty to Optimum as a cable/internet and mobile phone customer, I was ready to leave them. Their internet service had become more unstable, their phone service didn't allow me comfortable international service and my monthly charges were always changing. I was ready for a change. So on October 10, I walked into my nearby Verizon store (130n Rt 303, West Nyack,NY) and met with Marcus, on the Verizon staff. He was welcoming and took his time to get to know me and exactly what I was looking for. First we talked about the mobile side , keep my phone?, get a new one?, and then the network side. When I was starting to feel overwhelmed Marcus wisely suggested that we should work on the mobile side for the day, but the managers, Dennis and Doris, were listening and chatting about me and when they offered me a new customer deal I couldn't refuse I went for it all! The Fios side was easy, Marcus set me up with a home appointment for the next morning and at first it seemed that I would be leaving with my phone moved to Verizon as well, Verizon but no, there was a wrinkle that would take a month to smooth out. Marcus warned me that I would have to wait for Optimum to unlock my iPhone's Sim but he was sure it would only take 24 hours at most and I left without finishing the process, without a working cell phone. When nothing happened in the next 24 hours I was back to the Verizon store and now Doris was working with me to get Optimum to unlock my phone and now they extended the wait time to a week. Over the next few days I got to know a lot about this issue of unlocking phones digitally and there was nothing smooth about this process. How about a month! It was tough without cellphone service. Sure, I could still use my phone when I had wifi and I could make calls with What'sapp but I was off without my phone. I spent many hours on a stool at the Verizon store, many hours on the phone with Verizon techs and they were always supportive and kind. I can't say the same about the Optimum staff both on calls and in their local store. Of course I was leaving them but there should have been some common courtesy after my 23 years with them. The Verizon store staff knew I was leaving for a trip very soon and made sure I had a backup phone to use. Dennis and Juan came to my rescue. Finally, when I had given up on opening my phone and I was ready to buy a new one, Optimum came through and opened my phone. The bottom line for me was the customer service of Verizon, the team of Dennis, Doris, Juan and Marcus and Verizon online as well. It took a ridiculous amount time but in that month of stress, time after time it was the Verizon team in the Verizon store in West Nyack, NY who were caring and compassionate and supportive. My experience wasn't terrible, but I do understand the other reviews left by others. Kevin was awesome and helped us upgrade and activate our phones. He is very nice and sincere and would recommend going to him for all your needs. On the other hand, other members of the staff are not so welcoming and don't offer much help. Rather, my question was met with the answer of "go to the Apple Store" even though the representative I spoke to over the phone said the staff at Verizon should be able to help with my issue. For that reason, I would tell you to avoid this store and go elsewhere for your needs. read more

Absolutely Horrible! The sales reps all seemed nice enough, but the manager has a SERIOUS attitude problem. Chris, the GM, has ZERO sense of customer service. RUDE, OFFENSIVE, AND DISMISSIVE. I was SO taken aback by how obnoxious he was that after having already spent 2+ hours in the store, I decided to leave. I knew it meant I'd have to start back at square one in a different Verizon location, but even that headache was preferable to being so disrespected. We got to a point where he basically told me that I didn't have enough money to be worth any more of his time. Management is about more than just "the bottom line". It is beyond comprehension how someone with so few social graces was ever considered management material. Verizon, as a corporation, should be absolutely ASHAMED to be represented by someone like that. I wish Yelp allowed a rating of zero stars. read more

After standing around for 10 minutes without a greeting and no acknowledgement from any of the four employees, I walked out of the store without hesitation. What a waste? WORST NASTY customer service! Doris is completely rude & should never be a customer facing employee. She stood at the door with a nasty face on & after explaining to her what I needed she just refused to want to assist me. I had to call the 800# who spoke with her and she was even rude to her own company employee and still refused to help. All while reminding us multiple times she closes in 30 min, 10 min, 5 min. Jay also spoke nasty to me when he wasn't even in the conversation. They claim to not know their supervisors name or # so I will contact the friendly corp again to make sure they know the unacceptable behavior of this location. AVOID and go elsewhere! read more

We've been going there for years and have been Verizon customers over 15 years! Went in for an upgrade like we always do and the sales boy said we need to pay $30 upgrade fee.... my husband told him we never paid a fee for upgrade then he laughed like an asshole and my husband said look at our account. Well needless to say we NEVER paid an upgrade fee and his answer was well you will today. No apology for his rude customer service ( laughing like we were jokes) so we walked out. Went on Verizon website .... ordered EVERYTHING and guess what.... NO UPGRADE FEE!! We will never be in that store again read more

I have never met a more rude or condescending person than Thomas in customer service. You can tell him a fact, but he will tell you that you are wrong. He has the attitude of someone who really believes they are better and more educated than anyone they meet. Went in to upgrade my phone to the S5, and activate my old phone for my wife. I was dreading the trip based previous experience, Davidson Justin was incredible. He walked me through the options, got my phone hooked up, transferred our data... and ended up selling me on 2 accessories that I wouldn't have bought otherwise. He completely changed my experience with the Verizon Wireless brand in one hour. If this is a sign of the kind of people you'll be hiring going forward, I won't go anywhere else. read more
