Chris, Matt and Hunter went above and beyond to take much of the pain out of this experience. They got me a deal for a new phone (paying only the sales tax), are working on getting us a free tablet and transferred all of the information on my old phone to the new one. This was after my old phone died and wouldn't hold a charge. Hunter figured out what was wrong with it and was able to charge it so he could do the info transfer. My husband was a Sprint customer and has been with T-Mobile since the merger. This is my first experience with them and, if the ongoing service is anywhere near the in-store service, I will stick with them for life. Thank you, Chris, Matt and Hunter again for taking such good care of us!

I was told my new phone would be $800 and I could add on a watch for free with added $10 service for the watch. I agreed. All of my payments were being debited from my account and I am partially to blame for not paying better attention to this sooner. I noticed I was being charged $850 for the phone. No big deal. What's an extra $50. Then I noticed I was being charged for the price of the watch. I really didn't even use the watch either. This is where I had a problem. I went to talk to them about it and they politely told me there was nothing they could do for me. I did not qualify for the free watch and too much time had passed. I have an issue with being told the wrong information by an employee. Maybe he should know the correct specials. I decided to drop T-Mobile and go with Verizon where I got a better deal. I am still sad about leaving TMobile but I'm saving money with Verizon. They paid off my old phone and gave me a brand new phone for switching. I also get a discount on my internet for having both services. It made sense. I've had only good experiences with Verizon. Customer service has been excellent. I am not happy I had to leave T-Mobile. Please make sure your employees know what they are talking about T-Mobile. I have become more diligent on my end as well. Lesson learned.

During my recent visit, however, I learned that this store no longer sells cell phones unless you sign up for a *payment plan.* As soon as my husband and I entered the store, an employee greeted us and told us that he could assist us after he served other customers. Another employee asked us what we wanted, and we replied that we wanted to purchase an iPhone 14 Pro. He asked about the number of gigabytes and the color. He confirmed that he had the phone in stock, but we needed to wait until he served other customers. After roughly 40 minutes, a third employee approached us. We told him that we wanted to buy the iPhone 14 Pro. He said that the store has a policy that they do not sell phones unless the customers finance the phones. We replied that we had previously paid for a phone here in full, and he replied that we could no longer do so. The employee's tone of voice could have been more professional, and we would have appreciated if the first two employees had told us that they do not allow customers to outright buy phones. My husband and I wasted a lot of time in this AT&T store, but at least the employee advised us that we could buy a phone at the Apple store at the nearby mall.

BEWARE: This store is running a scam! They will sign you up for Protect Advantage and Next Up…read morewithout your consent. I asked for a paper printout bill in the store, and the sales associate covered this up with a black marker!!! They were obviously trying to sneak in these additional monthly charges without me realizing!!! (You can't even remove Next Up from your account for 14 days after signing up, the perfect amount of time for you to forget.) Furthermore, they intentionally didn't tell me I needed to upgrade my phone plan to get the phone trade-in deal. They told me to take my old phone home to "make sure everything transfers okay to the new phone." When I returned a couple of days later to trade in my old phone, they told me I'd have to upgrade my plan to a more expensive one to do the trade in. I imagine they do this to make sure people don't opt to keep their much cheaper old plan and just buy the new phone as opposed to upgrading the plan, which they likely have an incentive to do. Maybe they also think some people will forget to bring their old phone back or not understand how the deal works. The manager didn't tell me about the upgrade options and signed me up with a more expensive option with all of these features I don't need without my consent! Good thing I realized this when I got home! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!!

I needed a new phone, so I stopped by this store briefly to ask if they sell the iPhone 14 Pro. I felt happy that I did not have to wait in line to be served. (In contrast, the line of customers at the AT&T store on McKnight Road was significantly longer.) An employee immediately smiled and said a friendly hello. I asked the employee if I could pay in full for the iPhone 14 Pro. He kindly explained that they sell phones only to people who want a payment plan, and he advised me to go to the nearby Apple store to purchase the phone. He said that I could return to the AT&T store if I needed the new phone to be activated. Although this employee was not able to sell me the phone himself, I appreciated his prompt and courteous service.

First, having been an AT and T customer for many years I know the drill and am familiar with their policies. I came with my son for the purpose of getting his phone upgraded. The receptionist took my name and I didn't have that long of a wait to be taken care of. All around the store are demos of all the phones and tablets they carry for you to get familiar with. The sales rep began talking with me about all these different plans that could either slightly raise or lower my bill including bundling with their TV service or eliminating hot spots. I was straight to the point that I came to purchase a phone and after showing me a number of payment options I told him I was buying it outright and not interested in changing my plan. Years ago I was burned by AT and T because if you purchase a new phone and decide to return it within the 14 day return window they charge you a restocking fee. That fee applies even if you haven't taken the cellophane off the box and never tampered with it. Currently that fee is $55.00. Please be aware of this should you decide to purchase. Accessories such as cases and screen protectors do not have that fee but you must credit them within the 14 day grace period. Having my son with me to insure the Samsung model he wanted, we went ahead and of course got a very minimal trade in credit for his existing Samsung S6. Our salesman, Mike helped him with the data transfer and erasing the old device so that his new phone would be up and running perfectly. When it came to activation Mike needed to check on fees. I told him I had spoken to AT and T twice and was told that buying a phone outright waived those fees. When he ran it through the scanner he saw I was right. The Samsung S 10+ I purchased comes with its own built in screen protector. It is supposed to be "self healing." I had already purchased a screen protector 3 days ago from another AT and T store but my son insisted that I credit it. I waived the insurance on it because I know they have a standard high deductible for replacement which is also limited in quantity and if you crack your screen, then they will send you off to some screen repair shop nearby to get it fixed for a reduced price. My son was very happy with my purchase for the holidays and was grateful I took the time to do all the research. You can also order online through their website or chat with an agent. This store is fairly big and sits near the main entrance of Ross Park mall across from the Lego store. My advice is if you are considering switching to AT and T or if you are making a purchase, then make sure you read everything before you do anything. The restocking fee is something people overlook but it is written on their website and if you remember to ask before purchasing it then you will be better able to make an informed decision.
