    XFINITY is a division of the Comcast company. XFINITY sells cable television, Internet, and telephone services to customers across much of the United States. I have been a customer of XFINITY for almost a decade. Currently, I use only their cable and Internet. Their prices are high, but the cable and Internet have reliable connections. In the past, my husband called XFINITY's customer service department to change our plan so we could watch local sports teams, and the representative told us the wrong thing. We ended up calling them again and changing our plan back to the original one. Recently, I needed to have XFINITY mark the locations of their wires in my yard prior to a digging project. An XFINITY employee arrived on time and accurately marked the locations of the wires.

    Worst run company ever . Use your credit card to pay for something then DON'T do anything else or they automatically put you in auto pay

To start, I got what seemed like a very good price. After a year it rose somewhat. After two years it shot-up like Jack's beanstalk. I eliminated the DVR service & cut back my broadband to a lesser speed, to limit the price increase, which was still a lot anyway. But it's always on. I have a DirecTV dish in front of my house from a prior occupant. Maybe some day I'll switch to it for TV & just keep Armstrong for internet, But I know that with DirecTV, the slightest rain will disrupt the signal. Armstrong, has been nearly flawless. There are some channels I wish they offered & a whole bunch I could live without, but that's the same with any cable TV provider. What's weird, at least to me, are their "packages" or bundles of channels. I have an HD-pack that includes an assortment of certain channels in HD, which is sort of fine. There's also a Variety-pack that I don't have that costs twice as much as the HD-pack. The Variiety-pack is also a variety of un-related channels, such as kids channels & sports channels. At the time of this writing, I wish I had FoxSports2 for the Women's World Cup Soccer Games, but that's part of the Variety-pack, 90% of which I'll never watch. My history with other providers is more focused bundles, such as News & Sports pack, Movies pack etc. Armstrong seems to pick assorted random channells & combine them in packages, which may be their strategy to get a subscriber to have to buy more bundles to get all the channels they really want. Their customer service is decent. It's also all USA-based, which makes talking to them easier than with foreigners for technical issues like I've experienced with DirecTV. When needed, I've never had a problem getting someone out to the house & there's never been an extra fee for any on-site visit. I've also had no billing issues (except the price, which is a different issue). There's another local cable/internet provider I could join here, but their internet speed offerings don't compare to Armstrong & though they offer a better selection of TV channels, the internet has become more important than the TV at this point. So, I'm living with Armstrong, somewhat begrudgingly. (NOTE: I'd put here what I'm paying, but there will likely be another price increase soon, so there's no point)

    This review requires some backstory, as it's one of those rare instances where one person…read moresinglehandedly turned a 1-star experience into 5. Due to some of my chronic conditions, I applied for and was approved for a unique discount for my Internet services, and was told I would be receiving my set-up equipment in 2-3 business days. After waiting a week and a half, I finally tried reaching out to Xfinity via their website. The AI bot is absolute trash, BTW. I was ready to swear off Xfinity, because they showed no record I even applied for the program. Finally I made one last grasp, finding another fairly-low cost program. This time I walked into the brick-and-mortar store, and after explaining the situation to the woman greeting, I was paired with Charlie. Charlie turned this experience around. Not only was he amicable and pleasant, he knew exactly what he was doing. Not only did he find my original approval (which turns out to be a better deal in the long run), he quickly jumped onto a chat with some of his people, made sure my service would be ready, and made extra sure I was walking out with not just the service I wanted but all the equipment I would need to set it up myself - including coax cables! Having worked in hospitality most of my life, great guest service can absolutely be a game-changer. Xfinity, give Charlie a raise! You should be lucky to have him.

I finally chose the option to cancel my account; yes, I got someone. After another 30 mins of being passed around, and no resolution, other than it would be five days before the person would arrive, I decided to actually cancel and go to Verizon. I had forgotten how awful Comcast is. No one can truly take charge to deliver a resolution. I will not miss them.

    Went with Greenlight because we wanted to support a local business. The service works well when it…read moreis on (little to no trouble while using multiple devices on the network, relatively fast download speeds) but consistently goes off around midnight every night. This is more than just an inconvenience as my wife's CPAP machine needs to upload data every half-hour. We have had mulitiple nights were the machine has reported no data (ie that my wife has died) which causes her hospital to dispatch an emergency response team to our home while we are sleeping peacefully. The ERT is a fast acting, elite trained force of professionals who do not hesitate to break through windows and kick down doors. We have had to replace our bedroom window FOUR TIMES in the past two months. I will be sending the bill to Greenlight Wireless. One addendum: my wife wanted me to point out that though she needs a CPAP machine, she's not a landwhale. She's a normal sized woman. About 5'2 with enormous breasts. Her septum is deviated and so she has the symptoms of a fattie without all the lard. Thanks for nothing Greenlight Wireless!

I've contacted the BBB & i don't think they are even responding to them! Even when the wifi was working (& there's a router right outside my apartment), the service was still low & would cut out all the time. It was 'ok' for being free, but being without service for over a week is unbearable!
