James in particular has been very helpful and got me the product I wanted and a very good deal on top of it. I had checked the price of an apple iPhone. Thought it was slightlty high, but went in to purchase. I was told that It would cost $80 more than what I was previously told, since I was not financing it, "PER VERIZON" policy. I later inquired at the Verizon Corporate store (read REAL Verizon), and told this was nonsense. I was told that each "authorized dealer" sets its own prices. Called an employee and he scheduled a "reservation" for me to upgrade my phone. He then had me cut out all other customers to make a commission on my new phone sale. Instead of helping people waiting for payment issues. Said I had 3 options. None of which was going to have me leaving without spending hundreds of dollars up front or my monthly bills going up another $50. He was shady and secretive on the plans he wanted to add on like more phone lines and "benefits". Very rude overall taking calls and even when I offered to have another store to explain what should happen he tried to take the phone off speaker and tell them he was being "generous" to me. That other store got me my new phone with no issues and I pay the same rate as now with no issues whatsoever. Stop trying to make a commission off people read more

I'd had ongoing issues with my phone and had no luck with Technical support on the phone after contacting them several times. Every person I spoke to gave me another excuse for why my phone wasn't working properly. I'd had enough, so I visited the Verizon branch located at Bishop's Corner. Upon arriving a customer who had no more of a clue than me and wasn't willing to listen was there for over an hour repeating herself. I swear the sales reps at this location have got to be the most patient individuals on this planet. It turned out I was due for an upgrade and received also received a free tablet. I am not tech savvy and was pleased to find out I could attend information sessions at this branch on Sundays which makes me happy. Horrible experience & finally walked out of the store. Michael Brown, the store manager is arrogant & should be fired. When I have to go to a Verizon store, I'm never happy & ask for the most patient person. Someone was helping me although rather incompetent because they knew maybe 20% of what I learned at real Verizon store a few minutes later. Mike decided to step in but the first sentence out of his mouth was something to the effect that if I didn't change my attitude & stop the negative words, he'd have to ask me to leave. So I left and won't ever return to that store. I have learned the difference between a corporate Verizon store who can get the job done, and a pretend Verizon store (reselller) who only knows sales pitch & can't deliver service, but tries to sell you on the service that comes with a phone, what a laugh. Best thing - on the back of Michael's business card it says "If your service wasn't a perfect 10, let us know how we can improve" so to the owners of this company, score was a ZERO and you need a new store manager, and more training for employees so they can help customers (and I pay almost $500/mo to Verizon). read more

Avoid this place. Take your business to an Authorized Verizon Store. They provided my son a $1k phone without my authorization. When I confronted salesperson Joseph, he made lame excuses. A great wireless store. It is quite a drive for me but I always go to this store for my smartphone and other wireless needs. I typically deal with Matt, he knows a lot about the products and services and won't steer you wrong! During a holiday season my Galaxy phone completely died. It was a critical time and I was close to a different store so I went there instead. After getting the runaround, I left and drove over to the Bishops Corner Wireless Zone. Matt and the others took good care of me. I got a loaner phone to use while awaiting a new phone. Now, no matter how rushed I am, I will always make the trip to Bishops Corner to get the staff there to help me. They actually gave me a really good deal on a my phone. He kind of talked me into it, and it was a little out of my budget but he was nice about it and bc he threw in a promotional special on the devices, it made it alright. The only snag was that he didn't include how much I was going to have to pay every month, and some other employee named Greg, I think, went and raised my monthly payment and charged me like $300. I ended up paying like $700 for the first two months of phone service. If they had just said how much it would cost from the start, it wouldn't have been that annoying. Well his business accounts representative sold me a phone that didn't even last a month, neglecting to make clear up front that the phone was reconditioned. I use to visit this store for their accessories, but after many bad experience with guest service I haven't in a few years. I tried again today to get help putting on the Iphone screen protector. Unfortunately I was told because the case wasn't bought there that he couldn't do it. Probably more likely that he just didn't want to. Another useless visit to this location. if Yelp offered a - - - ZERO star option...trust me that is what this review would receive. another surreal experience at this sub-par Verizon retail store...and l take full responsibility... because I the same horrific experience a couple years back w/ the exact same (rude) Matt person...and vowed never to step foot in that store again... but today I was short on time and had a quick question so I thought I'd pop in (pretty much assuming that horrible employee Matt of 2 years ago would surely have gotten the boot) .... but to my surprise there he was... and w/ the same flippant, rude, crass uninterested, crap attiude...I won't get into the details of our exchange but he was uninterested in trying to help remove a virus...he never once picked up the phone, asked a question, or made eye contact with me.... just in speed talk told me the phone was basically a piece of crap and could not help me...then sort of flicked the device back towards me...in a dismissive way...i was speechless...and pretty distraught since it was my work phone with lots of important contact information that was critical to my business. he told me It could not be saved and all the information on the phone/contacts/texts/picture everything would have to be deleted in order to get rid of the virus. period... I left feeling this can't be right...so I take the drive over to the Verizon store on Farmington Ave... a super helpful, smart. knowledgeable, polite associate, greeted me with a big smile and In less that 10 mins he was able to troubleshoot the problem...FIXED....then I upgraded both my BUSINESS and PERSONAL phones while I was there. hey Matt, u stink! read more

My son's iPhone 7 stopped working, and his brother also had an iPhone 7 that could have started to malfunction due to a factory issue that had been the subject of a recall in 2018 (we didn't know about it). I was able to get a good deal on two new iPhone 12 phones. I worked with Damian, who was was excellent at finding ways to help me save money. I went to the store on Sunday, and after speaking with Damian for a few minutes, I made an appointment to come back on Monday to do the transaction, because Damian informed me that setting up the phones would take 1.5 hours. I really appreciated the heads up on that because, when I came back on Monday, my expectation was that the process of getting the new phones would not be "quick and easy." It took a while to switch the data from the old phones to the new phones. Damian even had to call the corporate office for help and it took almost 2 hours to set up the phones (that included the installation of the screen protectors and camera protectors). I really appreciated that Damian had everything ready for me: new chargers (because the iPhone 12 does not work with the old style charger), screen protectors, and camera protectors. He also helped me find and order new cases that are suitable for two young boys. He anticipated everything I needed before I even got there. He did a fantastic job installing the screen and camera protectors. Overall, Damian was great to work with. read more

Worst Verizon experience of my life. They could not even look up my Verizon account per the rude representative. After walking out of their store due to outright incompetent service I called Verizon. To my surprise they are not even an authorized Verizon store thus why they could not look into my account or plan. If it wasn't for the wonderful Verizon phone representative I was ready to terminate my contract after entering this so called establishment. Stay away! read more

The week of Thanksgiving 2016, I had a very good experience at this Verizon Wireless store. Store manager Michael Brown and two sales advisors, Timothy Hoyt ad Luis Calderon, all helped my husband with getting a reconditioned iPhone 6 Plus and transferring all of the information from his older phone. It goes from bad to worse with Wireless Zone. In July of 2013, I purchased a bluetooth headset for my phone, I was told I had 30 days to return the product. I soon realized I did not need the device and went to wireless zone to return the product. Much to my surprise, I was informed that I could not return the headset due to state law. Having just returned headphones to sports authority this sounded fishy; add to the fact, the salesman that told me I had 30 days to return it, told me I could not return it! I went home did some research and there was no law prohibiting the return of bluetooth headsets. Real life got in the way and I did not pursue this. Fast forward to 2015. My mother bought a Samsung Galaxy S-4 from Wireless zone, the phone was two years old, and she paid a discounted price for the phone. Much to her surprise, she recently found out she was paying 22.00$/month for the phone. Having never signed anything regarding monthly payments and figuring she had already paid for the phone, she was understandably livid. I logged onto the Verizon website and did a Retail installment contract; but here's the issue, she never signed a retail installment contract and the signature on the contract does not match her's. That's right, it appears that wireless zone forged her signature on a Retail Installment Contract. I believe this is called fraud? My mother is not a vengeful person (and neither am I). She simply wants the money refunded (she has paid 16 installments at 23 dollars each) and to move on. I am writing this in the hope that somebody at wireless zone remedies the situation. I'm not the type to ever write reviews. In fact, this is my first time ever but I have to say something. I had a very unpleasant experience at this specific store earlier today. I went in there to get a charger for my boyfriend who has an iPhone 6. I was greeted when I walked in, however it seemed like both employees did not want to be there. The employee who cashed me out charged me 42 dollars for a home charger which seemed a bit pricey to me. I didn't say anything though because I knew going in there it wasn't going to be cheap. I left come to realize that my boyfriends car will only work with Apple USB cords, it can't be another type of company (something about Bluetooth). Anyway, instead of going back to this store because I felt like a pain, I went to the store closer to where I live in Newington on Fenn road. The girl cashier there proceeded to tell me I could not return my charger because the stores had different owners which I understood, but then she also told me that I was overcharged, and that those chargers are sold for 29 dollars, and not 39+tax which made it out to be 42 in total. I appreciated her honesty and drove all the way back to this store in West Hartford. I walked back in the door feeling bad about the entire situation, and the employee who cashed me out gave me an attitude right off the bat. I told him my boyfriend needed an apple charger instead and he rolled his eyes and seemed irritated. I ignored it and then the other employee came over trying to tell me they don't last as long basically making me feel stupid for buying the charger. I understand he's trying to sell his product but the way he went about it was wrong. He then said I wouldn't be able to return it because he had assumed that I had opened it and I told him I didn't and he was like oh okay. Then the guy who cashed me out seemed pissed off because he crumbled up the old receipt and when he handed me the new receipt I asked if I was all set and all he said was "mhm." After that I said okay thank you and he didn't even respond. I just want to say I work in the customer service field, and that is not how you treat people. I will never come back to this store specifically because not only was I overcharged, but I felt my needs were a bother to the employees at Verizon. read more

They offered me a "free" gadget when I upgraded to more memory for my phone, but neglected to say that there is a monthly $10 charge. When I discovered it on my bill and went back, Manager told me that this is just how the bill is broken out and this charge would be there regardless of whether I had this gadget or not, and it cannot be taken out. I thanked them and left, but it did not sit well with me, so when I took a closer look at the bill, I realized that they are BS me. I even went to a real Verizon store, they confirmed my suspicion. So, I went back again, and this time the story changed, Manager said I signed a two year agreement, and they have cameras there to prove it. I feel like I am dealing with a used car salesman. Needless to say, I am fuming, Manager promised to check and see if they can remove this charge, what are the chances I will ever hear back...If anyone knows who the owner of this location is, please post it here. read more
