We had a good experience several years ago when we ordered a pair of room air conditioners so we returned last week when our microwave crashed. The owner, Jim, was very helpful in researching and various options for a replacement unit that would suit our needs. The unit arrived a few days later and he called to set up a delivery time for later that same day. The workers were very professional and were more than happy to offer advice about another issue we were experiencing with a different appliance. This has to be the worst experience I've ever had in my life and I'm 47 years old. I was having problems with my Television and decided to bring it into Maran's TV Appliance. The owner said it would take a week or two to get the part and have it fixed. Two weeks go by and I call. They said something about a electrical storm. So, I waited another 2 weeks which now it's a month. Still same story about electrical surge problem. They never call you back and just want you to forget and leave your TV there so they can sell it after you've waited and give up. Still to this day I never received a call which I filled the form out with all my information. Plus, had to pay $50.00 for them to look at it. I'm telling you don't have anything done at this place! Terrible with customer service. My ice maker broke after one month. They no showed for two scheduled appointments. They insisted I go through them instead of the 800 number so here I am after 3 weeks and a no show for the appointment I will call the 800 number. Jimmy makes promises he can't keep. Granted they were short staffed however if he was clear with me in the beginning that he couldn't handle the repair it would have been better than appeasing me and then not living up to the service. read more

If you have time to wait for two weeks for the so called technician to tell you that they cannot fix your appliances, then feel free to go with this joint. If you want excuses instead of repairs, this is the best place to go for. Their owner came, checked my fridge that's not cooling, told me it needs a fan and went away. 12 days later, the fan has still not arrived because he ordered it with some other things for OTHER customers and those are on back-order therefore parts for MY fridge are not delivered as well. In simple words, he'll come and fix my fridge only when he'll receive the parts for OTHER customers. He's been telling me he'll receive the parts any day and will show up to fix the fridge and today, after 13 days of waiting, he's telling me the parts will take another 7 to 10 days because OTHER customers parts are probably not available yet. I'm sitting with a broken fridge for 13 days waiting because of this stupid logic of not ordering parts separately. Today I told them to not bother anymore and just called Sears to come fix the appliance. Stay away from this place or call them if you have ample time to sit and wait for them to show up. Update : Sears guys came, checked and diagnosed the problem to be with the board. The fan that the guy from this Moron place said is bad was running like a horse. I'm glad that I decided to go with Sears and not with this good-for-nothing place. read more

I've gotten both my stove and my washer from here. It's local. They have an in house service person for repairs. I always felt much more comfortable shopping at this local place than a big box store. I never felt like I was being pressured to buy a certain brand or product. They were very helpful explaining the best way to use the newest high efficiency washers. read more

I have been there numerous times ordering appliances - most recently a washer and dryer - I've been treated incredibly professional in every way. I have dealt with Moran's on multiple occasions. I never had a problem until just recently. I called to get my dryer fixed and when I called them the next day to find out what time they were coming and they were rude to me. They acted like they would try to fit me on the schedule. Even though I was told the day before they would let me know in the morning. After my 2nd call, I finally got a time of 11 am. Mind you, my husband works 3rd shift and was up waiting for them. After not showing, I called at 12 and was told they were running behind and they would be there at 2. Then again, with a no show at 2, I called and they promised me by 3 pm, someone would be there. After all was said and done, we went the entire weekend with no dryer and had to go to the laundromat. With the quote they gave us, we ended up spending an extra $100 and just got a new dryer, which we received the following Tuesday. I will never call them again. Here we are trying to give a small store business and they acted like we were inconveniencing them. Well don't worry, we won't inconvenience you anymore. Neither will the rest of our family, who have also been long time customers. I give this place another year or two tops before it has to close down. You are not that busy to keep no showing on people. Give me a break! read more

Stay away from this place! My mother paid for a TV months ago and they have not brought it to her. They brought a small one while hers was on order. When she calls about delivery they did not take her calls and finally the owner answered and hung up on her! The last TV she bought from them lasted 9 months before it stopped working and they told her "that's how long they last". I think they're taking advantage of a senior and it's disgusting. read more

We grew up using Moran's Television for our repairs and purchasing appliances but clearly, things have changed. We called Morans to set up an appt to have our "Brand New" oven looked at because it was not heating up to temp. We were never able to get in touch with him due to the phones being busy. After trying to call them for 3 days, we decided to show up. We asked the OWNER if he was having phone troubles and he said nooooo the phones have been ringing all day. As he goes to grab a business card, he picks up the phone receiver off his desks and hangs it back up. We have been waiting since Thanksgiving to get our oven fixed. They came out, said we needed a new part. We have called multiple times and the part is "arriving today but hasn't arrived yet". We even had an appt in the afternoon for the install of the new part. We left work 3 hours early to meet them and they never showed and never called. We paid them a visit the next day and they said "These things happen" To say we are disappointed would be an understatement. This was suppose to be a brand new oven and it does not work. We ended up buying a new unit, from a more reputable local company. I will never waste my time with this company ever again and I suggest you proceed with caution. read more

Not what you would expect from a local home town store. My experience started off just trying to get through as the line was always busy. Once I got through I explained I needed help with the freezer part of our refrigerator that we purchased from them about 10 years ago. The gentleman told me he would have John (their repair guy) call me back first thing in the morning as he was out already and did not know his schedule. With todays technology how is that possible? So I waited and waited. Finally I called at 10:45am and got John. He was just starting his day he told me. Based on his tone and the way he spoke to me he didn't care and seemed uninterested in helping. In fact he said "they just don't make them like they used too". I asked if maybe the it just needs a charge and her stated that they were not licensed to do that. All in all, I'm disappointed that he really wasn't interested in helping. He also went as far to say his schedule was pretty full today. With this kind of customer service, maybe that's why smaller places are slowly going out of business. Very disappointed. 2 yrs ago we bought 4 appliances, the first year it was our dishwasher, we called several times, they came out said we needed parts, then they had to take it to the shop to be checked, finally after 1 yr they decided to replace it.. in oct we had people over for dinner, I have a double oven stove, in the middle of cooking I got a fault and everything shut down-we couldn't do anything unless we shut the breaker down-then I tried to clean the oven and again a fault, we called I was told not to clean the oven til after the holidays because parts will be hard to get-well we made it thru thanksgiving-then Christmas I had both ovens going and there goes the fault had to bring the food next door to cook--we called them tech came out and removed a board, came back and removed another-came back and said we should be all set--well I went to broil and another fault, we called again tech came out and just looked at it and said have to go back and talk to the boss, don't know what to do--well we found a number for a frididaire repair man, told him our problem and he said it was none of what they were telling us, it was our heating component going and we're talking about 800.oo or more to fixed, best bet was to junk it, a 2 yr old stove--I wrote to the company and they replied they would give us 10% off the price of another heater component really?? we will never go to this store again or buy Frigidaire again read more
