We had a family crisis this week in which my husband's iPhone was lost. We needed an immediate solution as we feared its data could be compromised even though it had a passcode. Between the Apple Store and the Verizon Store, both conveniently located in the same shopping center, we went about handling it ASAP. I chose Verizon first and as we had had Brunch earlier at Alpine Modern, also in the same location and where it was lost. I immediately walked across the lot to Verizon to shut off its usable connection as it is on my account. When that was successful, and we purchased a new phone, something he was to need soon anyway, we went to Apple next to have it physically locked so if it had been found then stolen, it could not be reused. Apple was very helpful in setting this all up for us. We went home satisfied that our line was protected too. Apple has provided us much help over the years and so has Verizon. In person, works best for us and nice they are both close by. In the morning we went back to the cafe to try one more time as Apple had told us that the phone was still pinging at the cafe location. The cafe had closed by the time we got to Apple the day before but we had gone in twice ourselves to look for it after discovering it missing. And no one had turned it in. First thing in the morning we tried the cafe again and yes their cleaning crew had found it the night before as it had slid under something we could not check when looking ourselves. Apple had told us if found, we could still get a trade in value paid out even though we had already bought the new phone earlier from Verizon. We went back to Apple with the phone, they unlocked it to credit as trade and issued us a gift card to our Apple account for its trade in value. Both of these large companies can help customers and for some, in person, at these Boulder locations, with well trained staff, is the efficient way to go. This was an awkward way to trade up a phone but in the end, we were able to get what we needed from both companies. I appreciate having them here in Boulder and so lucky to be able to walk between them and also near a tasty and responsible cafe, Alpine Modern's Twenty Ninth St location. read more

Had fast and courteous service by Cody (or Colby?). Store is set up pretty typical for a Verizon. I was in and out within 10 min for an online pickup, but they were fast to greet me, get my correct phone, and check me out on the spot. I usually go to the Flatirons mall so it is nice to have one local in town! read more

Watch yourself with undisclosed hidden charges with Verizon phone purchases/plans. I was on automatic payment on my Verizon plan when I needed to purchase a new phone. My receipt did not indicate a charge for activating the new phone which took the salesman less than a minute to complete. When I looked at my checking account, they had withdrawn much more than I was expecting. I am retired on a fixed income. When you are budgeting, having an unexpected charge is a big problem. I removed the automatic payment authorization (I had been with Verizon for over 20 years and only on auto pay for a few years and always paid my bill on time) and they now charge me an extra 10 dollars per month. Additionally, I was charged much more for the phone than if I had purchased at a big box store and was locked into a 3 year contract. Check the other providers before going with Verizon! I have asked them to remove the additional charge, for a year now, because of THEIR ERROR AND MY LACK OF TRUST IN THEM and not wanting the auto payment. When you call customer service, they tell you there is no possible way in their system to do that. Pretty bad for a technology company! Don't expect good customer service there and don't expect to speak to service agents who speak English as their first language! Today, the rep told me a superior would call me within 2 hours. It is now almost 1/2 hour beyond the promised 2 hours and I don't expect I will hear from them, as usual! So much for being a customer for more than 2 decades..that and a couple of bucks will get you a cup of coffee! read more

I'm giving this two stars because the younger manager was competent and helped me. The more middle aged manager was a coward. Ran to the back when I saw that I was having issues- it was obvious. The one floor associate, skinny, blonde hair and glasses, was so sure of what ain't. Insisted that his store couldn't produce a final bill for me after cutting ties. I went to this Verizon store for help as my new Samsung S23+ would not charge, something wrong with the charging port, but it would charge with a wireless charger. The big black customer service agent was useless and he appeared to be bored working there. Would you believe he told me to go to a mom and pop repair store for help? Luckily for me there was another customer service agent, Cody, who told me let me take a look at your smartphone. He took it inside to the service shop and few minutes later he came out and told me that he found a foreign substance and now my smartphone was working good and normal and charging properly. A big shame on the first careless agent and a big thank you for good and helpful Cody. So my rating is 3 stars.....a big ZERO for the first careless guy and a full 5 stars for Cody. read more

Good Customer Service Verizon stores are so busy! There always seems to be a lot going on, much like at Apple stores. They do a nice job with staying organized, however. They take your name down when you come in and get help to you as soon as possible. The sales associates are professional, knowledgeable, and informative. One star is too many. I've only had trouble since I started with Verizon. They told me they'd give me 800 for my iphone 11 and it was never credited. I owe $1233 for my new iPhone 13 because of this. It's almost impossible to contact service. The only time anybody calls me back is when they want to sell me something, so they have my info, they leave a message, but they won't call me back to help. I have tried everything but go back to the store. The reason why I didn't go back to the store was because it took six hours on two seperate days to transfer my old number to this phone. I have never experienced such poor service in my life as I have with Verizon. I got an email with my new billing statement. I clicked to see if there was a payoff amount and it said 1233. It also warned me that if I clicked on that it would be charged to my credit card and there would be no way to retrieve it. I was just clicking on it to see if there was a balance because my bill didn't look right. I've tried numerous times to call. Either they say they don't recognize my phone number or they say my accounts don't match. The one time that I got through, they said there was an extremely long wait line. Typically if I'm not happy with a service I don't give a review at all but I am fed up with this service that I've had less than three months. Terrible. Less than one star. read more

Adam did an outstanding job helping me get my family setup with 4 phones today. We had a complicated setup which involved transferring a number from a competitor, starting up 2 new lines with a trade-in and transferring another line from another Verizon account, and then swapping numbers between phones. Adam really knew his stuff and was able to work through our complex situation and get everything setup perfectly! Even though it was fairly busy (right before Christmas), he took the time to understand what I wanted, answered all of my questions and worked with his manager to get me all of the best deals and discounts possible. Happy to make you wait for 30 minutes before helping you, while helping other people who arrive after you. Waited 30 minutes and then they instructed me to call support versus just helping me directly. The TL;DR Verizon did a scam: a blatant bait and switch on me but after I realized I was already locked in. I went in to upgrade because of an irresistible option $300 off switching to iPhone. They didn't have space grey 256GB in stock so they mailed it, and said bring my old phone in for that trade in deal after the phone arrived. Phone arrived quickly I set it up moved my data over and went in and the person they assigned me went through the trade in process and offered me $85 for my old phone. He looked at me like I was crazy when I told home about the $300 off but was polite about it. I referred to the sign beneath the phone that said in big letters $300 off when you switch it iPhone. After checking he came back and said oh that's only for a new line. I was going to purchase airbuses that day but after realizing that I had been scammed I was furious and simultaneously deflated that I now had 2 years with this company who just lied to get me to a new phone and told me after it was done and locked in. He apologized that his coworker lied to me when I explicitly had asked about the $300 off trade in deal. I shared my frustration that the only reason I upgraded was that I needed an iOS device but I would have gone with a cheaper iPad. He then told me he could get me $100 off an iPad since I just got an iPhone...he meant well but up selling after telling me your coworker bait and switched me... As a rule I only give my business to companies that have integrity. Verizon has made little mistakes and fixed them in the past but this was flat out bait and switch and locked in. It comes down to character and training, Verizon's person broke the law and broke my trust. I'm sure he meant well, most people do, trying to get me the phone model I asked for and had they had it in the store this issue would have come up right away. I was very clear that the $300 off was why I was doing this and he saw my phone was due for an upgrade so he seemed to assume everything was going as planned, so it was likely an unintentional lie. Make sure you get the deal in writing in the store, and for good measure record the conversation. If you want an iPhone at a deal switch to a different carrier because service loyalty gets you nothing and scammed. read more

Our family has stayed with Verizon for a lot of years because of the customer service. Wherever I've been in the country, the local Verizon store has almost always been very helpful (I'm looking at you NYC). So of course it makes sense that the Boulder location is especially friendly and helpful. I've had to go a few times in the last days and Tyler & Christian who helped me could not have been better. I tried to purchase a phone but the website was down, I tried to go in person and the employees said I have to make an appointment (which is not possible when the system is down, I went to Apple to purchase a phone and Apple staff was not able to talk to version to set up the phone. On Saturday Feb 10th @ 5:00 pm I went to the Verizon Wireless store at 1650 28th St STE 1232 in Boulder to try to activate an iPhone 4 after losing my phone and needing an immediate back-up. I asked one of the reps to assist me and he proceeded to get me on the store's wifi and plug the iPhone 4 device code into his Verizon tablet. Unknowingly at the time, because the phone was owned by a previous user the iPhone kept locking me out and cycling through the setup process over and over again, but when I asked the rep he responded with "well it is an old phone. I'm not surprised it's not working, you can take it to the Apple Store." He stepped away to go stand around with the manager and the rest of his co-workers and after a few more failed attempts at logging in to the device, I got his attention and tried to ask him to "un-do" whatever he had done with the activation/device code when he instantly got defensive saying "I didn't do anything to your phone" I tried to re-iterate that I meant whatever he had typed in (to his tablet) and again he snapped "I didn't type anything in to your phone". The rep would not approach me so instead this entire interaction happened in the middle of your store with all of the employees and customers looking on. Including the manager who stood there watching him telling me repeatedly to "leave". Literally, like a child, he continued to repeat "leave", "leave", "leave". During this time I asked him what his name was and he proceeded to remove his name tag and refused to answer me, only repeating "leave". FINALLY the manager, Kristen, who was standing there THE WHOLE TIME turned around and identified herself as the manager and asked if she could help me. I asked her three times what the employee's name was and finally on the third time she said "Dan". At that point I left. Not until I was publicly humiliated did a manager step in to assist. Not once did Dan try to escalate my issue to someone more knowledgeable of my wireless device...in a wireless device store. read more

I have had horrible service with Verizon. In addition to that, I am not able to complete transactions at the Apple store because I have a business account. Apparently, if you have a personal account, you can. This feels like an attempt by Verizon to force people into their store. It is also extremely inconvenient, as I just spend an hour at the Apple store, only to be told that I have to go directly to Verizon to complete my transaction because it's a biz account. Now I have an 30 minute wait, and get to start over in solving my phone problem. Like most people, I do not have 3-4 hours to spend on this today. In addition to all of this, if you purchase the new plan that (1) gives you the ability to pay monthly for both a phone and Apple care over a two you, and (2) allows you to upgrade your phone within a year, you have to lock into a Verizon plan for the entire 2 years. If you purchase this exact same plan at the Apple store with another carrier, you have the option to change carriers at anytime. Again, this feels like an attempt to force people into being their customer. I will move carriers as soon as it works for me financially. And I will share this with others. If you choose to bring your "business account" to Verizon, know that you will not be able to do business at an Apple store and you will be locked into keeping them as a carrier. You can guarantee every time you come in you will not be serviced for at least 20 minutes and if you need to get in and out you should just switch carriers. Today we came to the conclusion that there was in fact a discrepancy with my account, "Ya, I agree it doesn't make sense... but all I can do is offer you a new plan". Seriously? So he confirmed that there was an issue and then rudely continued that he didn't know what I expected him to do about it. I came in for support from Verizon for that very reason as a longtime customer. Every time coming into a VZW store is such a bummer, and unfortunately once again our experience just sucked. Stuck up staff that couldn't assess our problem accurately had to call the same tech support I did at home to tell me the same thing they told us. So we sat here and had them lie to us about what the problem is when we knew the solution. Sure enough the problem got fixed after we had to remind them the specifics of our own contract. Most of the complaints here are from people who don't understand how a COMMISSION based sales representative employee environment works. Yes, you heard it correctly; EVERY cell phone rep in the WORLD receives commission. With that being said, if you are in a cell phone store for anything but a sale, expect less than perfect service from the representative who wants to move on to a sale. That's what the 800 number is for. Or email. Or even online chat. That being said, I had a GREAT experience with this store and Danielle in particular. I used to work for the competition in a corporate owned location (not a dealer) and I know how this works. Service was friendly. I did have to wait a bit but that is to be expected. Seriously, this isn't wal-mart. Transactions here take time and patience. (Referring SPECIFICALLY to the idiot who kept on referring to himself as "the hero"). Danielle did a great job enlisting the help of her manager if she was unsure of an answer (and being formerly in the biz, I had a few) and her manager was more than knowledgeable. I had the opportunity to visit the store on two separate occasions over the past month. The first was to discuss how to move a current Sprint customer to my Verizon account while keeping their number and to look at device options. Wendy Roberts helped us and was wonderful. She very clearly and concisely explained the process and our options. She went out of her way to explain how waiting few weeks for the most recent Apple release would likely result in a lower price if we were looking at an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus. She gave us her card with her mobile number and told us to keep in touch via voice or text for updates. During the next couple of weeks we reached out via text a handful of times and received nearly immediate response from Wendy with the latest info. Last week was the day we had been waiting for when Wendy reached out to us letting us know the device cost for a 7 Plus had dropped. Once in the store, Wendy continued her amazing customer service. It was the end of a very long day for her when we arrived for our 7:30 appointment. She was friendly, helpful, and engaged and it was clear she wanted us to have a great experience. In 30 minutes we were out the door with phone, case and screen protector - as well as some cool new wireless headphones for me - with all the data transferred to the new device, the old device traded in and the service switched from Sprint to Verizon. I cannot possibly recommend Wendy Roberts more enthusiastically. It's seldom I take the time to write a review. It really takes an extraordinary experience to motivate me to share my opinion. I had to call 3 times to get a Gizmo watch disconnected. My daughter lost the watch so I called in March to disconnect it. Then in April I got a bill again, the Indian CS rep tells me it's because I cancelled after this billing cycle started. So I pay the bill for April and make sure that the service is cancelled. Fast forward another month and guess what shows up in my email...that's right May's bill for a service I cancelled in March. Our phones are with T-mobile because of Verizon's lousy customer service.
