This the absolute worst Verizon store i have ever been to. Orlando-so called general manager is condescending and has a horrible attitude. I have been a Verizon customer for 25 years and I will be returning my phone and canceling my service based of his poor customer service and lack of any kind of human compassion. I asked to get my contacts transferred to the new phone i just bought and he said that will be 29.99. I then asked if he could tell me how to do it. He said No i would still have to pay if he told me, and then says that would be like taking your car for an oil change and asking the mechanic how to do an oil change. That was an inappropriate comment , this man should not be representing Verizon. If he can be a general manager, verizon doesn't care about their customers. We recently dropped in at the Verizon Bowie location, with the hopes of getting assistance with our cell phone. The Ads were constantly popping up which prevented us from using the cell phone for general purposes. We had one person to attempt to correct the problem, and he soon gave up and informed us that one of the other techs would be able to tackle the issue. After waiting a while, I noticed this gentleman walk out and I immediately got his attention. His name was Merrill. Merrill immediately assessed the problem and would not give up until the problem was completely "solved." We had begun to think it was hopeless. Merrill, we greatly appreciated your help, your patience, and your diligence in making sure our problem was completely resolved. You showed us what excellent customer service looks like and just how much you value us as a customer. Thank you, Merrill. The sales staff are dishonest. Check your bill. They cheat customers by padding the bills, sometimes not giving completely detailed receipts. Don't believe the hype that your bill will be reduced by adding a 4th line. My advice is to do all of your Verizon business online. Continue to check your cell phone bill. 2.5 stars. I went to the store in January and got new phones which was an okay experience. I was offered a promotion (which included a $100 bill credit) and agreed to it. I got a text confirmation that the credit info was entered but never saw the bill credit on any statements. I contacted customer service multiple times and they kept telling me it would be addressed. Finally on the third time, customer service told me they couldn't help because it was done by the store and I would need to follow up with the store directly. They couldn't find any phone number to call the store directly (all the numbers listed just go to customer service). I had a number for the person who helped me purchase the phones but despite multiple calls and texts, I couldn't get in touch with him. Customer service recommended I go back to the store. I wouldn't have mind going back if I was told that the first time I called about the issue but the fact that each time I called I spent 20-30 minutes on the phone with customer service and was told the issue would be handled and then finally after so much wasted time they explained they couldn't help me was very frustrating. And the fact that the parent Verizon company has no control over what stores do/promise AND can't even contact the stores directly when issues arise seems very disjointed. read more

We had gone to this store the beginning of the week to ask questions about our business account and received excellent customer service. Two days later we received a phone call who is the manager at this location and he inquired about our visit and we talked about another inquiry that we forgot to ask earlier that week. Johnathan said I could come to the store and ask for him, he would get me a sim card for my ipad and the cost and fee for this device, which was one that I had but wasn't using, could be used for my mom to facetime me and have internet access. We made some adjustments on our account and there was no additional cost incurred when cutting back on data we were not using. Johnathan definitely changed our mind about this store. I was unable to open the link I called, went online, and waited over two hours to get assistance. I paid extra to get an early delivery, however I didn't get service until after 2:15 pm which was past the deadline for next day delivery. If you want to get horrible service, and buy defective devices where they won't refund your money, this is the place to go. DO NOT BUY the ORBIC WONDER, I'm so pissed off that they sold us such junk and won't refund it. This is ridiculous, they won't refund your money in full for a defective product you bought from them 2 days ago, that you didn't even get a chance to use because it was never even able to hold a charge. The associate kept saying we had to pay a $50 recycling fee, I just checked their return policy, and it's a $50 RESTOCKING fee, FOR A $100 PREPAID DEFECTIVE PHONE - THEY CAN'T RESTOCK A DEFECTIVE PHONE, SO WTF? We wanted a refund because the phone was defective and was never even able to charge and the battery got hot and was bulging the back of the phone after charging it once and wouldn't turn on and stay on. The associate would only allow exchange for the same phone, AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE SAME PHONE IN STOCK, AND THE ASSOCIATE WANTED US TO GO TO THE ANNAPOLIS STORE BECAUSE SHE SAID THEY HAD ONE IN STOCK. YES, REALLY. SHE SAID SHE WAS DOING US A FAVOR BY TELLING US TO GO TO ANNAPOLIS, A TWENTY MINUTE DRIVE FROM BOWIE. AND SHE ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT WAS REASONABLE *eye roll* such a favor to drive to Annapolis for a phone that never even charges and then we discovered the Orbic Wonder got terrible reviews because of the battery problems. She told us to call customer service and try to get the restock fee refunded, she didn't offer to call for us there in the store, other employees standing around didn't offer either, and when I called, after entering all the info and going through the menus on the phone, there was a recording that verizon customer service was closed, at 7:14pm in the evening; I was afraid that we wouldn't actually get through, I told her as such, and we didn't, as expected. They sold us crap and took our money, how irresponsible and unethical, and apparently, unaccountable for this type of rip-off. I can't believe that verizon is sticking us w/a phone that doesn't work, paying $50 to "restock" a defective phone, and we were told that we would still be charged $50 "recycling"[restocking] fee even if we got a different phone they had in stock. This is the best they can do and it's piss poor. This is a warning to all that don't want to be ripped off like that. Don't buy anything from verizon stores. Buy from somewhere you know they will honor a return for a defective device. What a horrible experience, losing money like this during the pandemic. Last time I ever buy a phone from verizon. Verizon stores always seem to have long wait times. This store was no different. I went to this store on a Monday evening around 7:30pm. The staff were friendly, but the wait was ridiculous. I was told when I checked in it should take 15 mins since there were 3 people ahead of me, but it was more like 45-50 minutes. Some of the wait has to do with the nature of the services that they offer, but some if was just because the staff was fraternizing amongst themselves. It would be nice if Verizon could come up with a better process to decrease the amount of wait time for customers. read more

The home button on my iphone was sticking and no longer working which made the phone pretty much useless. I walked in and wiated around 2 minutes to see a technician. Alvin quickly realized the phone was broken and ordered a new one to be sent overnight at no charge. It was trememndous customer service. Disclaimer: This review and my rating is about one associate in particular and not of the entire store and its staff. Came here to get a new phone because my old one had been having some hardware issues after suffering from water damage. Took it to several Verizon stores while my family and I were on our cross-country drive (where all the associates I talked to were extremely nice and understanding, btw) and none were able to fix it and they came to the conclusion that I needed a new one. I came in to the store with a friend and Freddie seemed to be the only associate available. He was standing by their sales/customer support desk and so we approached him and told him the situation. (Note that we approached him and not the other way around, which hasn't been the case in the other Verizon stores we've been to--usually the associate would be the one approaching us and asking what he/she can do to help). Instead of asking for what my reason was for getting a new phone and/or helping me figure out what was wrong with my old phone, he briskly said--after looking up my account--that I need to pay off what's left on my device payment agreement. I was already expecting that, so I paid the remainder of the payment for my old device and asked him if I could look around and see which phone I liked best. To which he replied, in an incredibly condescending tone, "Oh, so you haven't got one picked out yet?" And I was like, "Yes, we've been driving cross-country for the last 1.5 weeks. I didn't necessarily have the time to shop around for new phones because I was still hoping my old one can still be fixed." Anyhow, while I was looking around the store, instead of being available to answer my questions, he just stayed where he was--right by the sales/customer support desk--and I had to come up to him to ask about specs and such. Another customer was shopping for a new phone and boy oh boy, did I envy her because her associate was extremely nice and helpful in answering all her questions about the phones! I eventually decided which one I wanted, no thanks to Freddie. I really did not want to give Freddie the sale but I needed a new phone ASAP because of work, so I ended up getting it despite the less-than-stellar treatment I received from him. It could very well be that this store has other outstanding associates and I may have just lucked out. But I probably won't be coming back here and just go to a different store next time. read more

When did walking into a Verizon Wireless store become so inefficient? You know, change is NOT always such a good thing. Mind you, I haven't been in an actual store for a while because Verizon Wireless telephone support and user-friendly website have pretty much handled all of my needs for the last 2 years or so. However, I wanted a new phone and was a little bit impatient with my old one. I didn't want to wait out the 2 day delivery or take the chance that the holiday might elongate the wait. BIG MISTAKE. When you first enter, a person takes your name and account number--kind of reminiscent of the apple store. Also similar to the apple store, you're waiting for your name to pop up on the screen and it's laid out so that while you wait, you can play with their devices. I guess that's cool. Only Verizon had far fewer cool devices that I was interested in tinkering with--which creates a bit of a problem when there's about 30 people waiting and 5 devices worth looking at. We could not look at the HTC One Max without some man coming over and grabbing it from us talking about how huge it is and evaluating our hands to see if they were big enough to hold it. Awkward. Then there were quite a few devices that were not present on the floor, even though they had signs, or that just didn't work at all. And if you don't want to look at any devices, there isn't very much seating either. I think there's room for about 6 to 7 people (out of 30) to sit down. Not to mention, I don't even understand why the wait was so long, like 30 minutes, because it seemed to be so many salesmen in the store at the time. And it definitely did not seem like every salesman had a customer. Once I was finally called it took the guy another hour to hour and a half to set everything up--well, now that I think of it, maybe THAT explains the wait. Our guy had to make several long trips to the back. He also had to ask the manager quite a few questions and to come over a few times. It took the manager forever to respond as well. A couple of moments we all just sat there looking and staring at each other, twiddling our thumbs. The glacial pace at which everyone moved could not have been more irksome. I swear I thought I might have to bring in the New Year in a Verizon store. Do not ever come in here if you're in a rush or if you planned to go home that same day. It's just hilariously ironic to me that a seller of such fast technology is so slow in service. From now on, I'll stick to Verizon Wireless online and on the phone service. They tend to be pretty quick and responsive. I guess the best part of going in the store was the manager giving out free tablets. All you had to do was pay for activation and the monthly device fee. Hubby couldn't resist the deal. I'm pretty sure the manager used the free tablets as a ploy to get someone to return to that store. But you'd have to pay me cash to get me to go back in there. read more

Verizon has great coverage. That's it. Now they force you into 2 year contracts, limits your data, and make you pay a much higher rate. I want to change, but the coverage keeps me there. As soon as someone can get as good as coverage, I'm changing. Meanwhile this store seem useless. No one seems to be an expert on anything. They cannot answer anything. I would actually give this store ZERO STARS if I could. Easily the worst experience I've ever had at any Verizon location....possibly the worst experience I've ever had at any retail store. Went in to pick up my phone I had ordered from Verizon for store pickup. Went to the store 3 separate times to pick it up. They kept claiming they had no records indicating I was suppose to pickup a phone up. When I contacted Verizon they said the phone should waiting at the Emerald Way location for pickup. Finally got my phone today and they charged my credit card $688.99. The phone was purchased on a monthly payment plan and Verizon customer support confirmed such. I'm in the process now of trying to recoup the funds the completely incompetent staff basically stole from me. The employees at the store are rude and will rob you as they are trying to do me if given the opportunity. I contacted the store and was told two different reasons for the transaction, first by an employee (Pedro) then a manager (Sarra). Sarra was rude, short with me and continuously cut me off talked over top of me when I spoke with her. She then tried to pass the buck and blame Verizon customer service. read more

I'm writing a review about the Fios internet service in the Crofton area. I pay for the more expensive plan - 150GB -- it's not cheap and it's certainly not as good as the 100GB service I had in NoVA with Comcast. After I binge on a few episodes of my favorite show, the service chokes, the downloads cease, and then after I restart my Roku or my laptop, the video is grainy. Very bad service. I cannot recommend it no matter how good it is for the first 2 hours I use it. read more

Even after reading the poor reviews for this store, I decided to make an online appointment for phone upgrades and adding a line. I figured making an appointment would ease the problems. I was wrong. When I arrived at the appointed time, I was told they did not have my name in the system for an appointment. That's fine I said, I have a text from Verizon that has confirmed my 10:00 appointment. I showed my text from Verizon to the Verizon rep thinking this would settled the problem. To my surprise, it did not. I was told that the store does not do appointments, it was first-come-first-serve. Further, I was now third in line. From experience at this location, I knew that I could be seen in just a few minutes or I would have to wait an extended period of time to be seen. I promptly walked out and handled my business on-line. I will never return to this location and advise others to steer clear. There are other Verizon wireless dealers in the area. Worse customer service ever! I went to the Bowie Towne Center store on Sunday and waited almost an hour and a half before getting serviced. What frustrated me was the fact that the store was packed yet there were only two reps on the floor and two behind the counter. Finally after about 1/2 hour at least 3 additional reps. came out (i assume after their lunch break) to a packed room, yet. no one seemed concerned about taking care of customers. While there thr entire 1 1/2 No one had left the store completing their transactions, except some guy who came in randomly (never signed in, but knew a rep.,) who conveniently skipped all lines and made a purchase ans left the store promptly (all thanks to his home-boy hook-up). :( So by now I am furious. Then when I was finally called for service, the customer service rep spent modt of his time telling me what I could NOT do with me and my daughter'phone and never gave us any positive alternatives. I was livid. so I walked out of the store walked around the corner and bought new cell phones with AT&T - and I got the best customer quality service at their store. I contacted Verizon to have cable and internet installed, which was in conjunction with Dish. After checking my lease terms later on that evening, I noticed that I cannot have a Dish placed as a fixture anywhere on the rental property. I immediately contacted Verizon the following day to cancel the installation request I had submitted the previous day. The customer service rep was able to confirm cancellation. About a week after cancelling the request, a Verizon self installation package shows up at my door with internet equipment inside. I immediately contacted them to confirm a miscommunication on their part and notified them that I would be sending the equipment back. I kept my receipt once I returned the equipment from UPS. After receiving cable bills month after month which included the amounts of the equipment an outside collection agency contacted me requesting payment. I explained the situation to them several times and they were not able to confirm with me of the tracking number of the equipment sent back nor other times that I have contacted them. Since then I have been receiving phone calls from the collection agency of $40 and some dollars for the internet router. What I am saying is that Verizon does not have reasonable customer service mapping and they will pretend as if they do not know of your situation once they have sent your information to collections with no resolve. DO NOT! Expect great customer service from Verizon cable department because they are recklessly unreasonable and unaccountable. read more
