Honestly don't know that the point of the store. They can't print receipts saying that everything is paid off.... They can't set up autopay... they might as well close because everything has to be done through a 1800 number or online read more

For decades, I have had my Verison payment taken out of my bank acct on autopay, on the 5th of each month. On May 14th, I tried to make a call and got a message from Verison that my bill had not been paid and service was unavailable. There had been no warning previous to the phone being cut off. I checked my bank account and the check had been sent and cashed. I tried to contact Verison on line and got continuous instructions to push numbers that were not relevant to the situation, so I took the phone to the Glen Carbon store, waited 23 minutes for my turn. As I walked over to the table, a woman came in the door for an on line pickup. Mel ( or maybe Max) Manager was the person whose seat was open. He got up as I sat down, went over to wait on the woman who had just come in. This took an additional 8 minutes before he came back to wait on me. I explained the situation up to date. He said they had no record of a payment and I would have to pay to have the phone turned back on. He opened the back of the phone and played around with it. I paid and he gave the phone back, but the screen image was reversed. It showed a mirror image of the usual screen. I gave it back to him and asked him to fix it. After a long period, ( guessing on this one, but about 20 minutes) he still hadn't fixed it. He commented that he had been doing this for 17 years and never seen that before. I accepted the phone back, at his insistence. A couple of days later I had rethought the situation and went back to the store. I found the manager and told him that I wanted him to either fix the phone or give me a new one. He responded that I had probably broken it when I dropped it as I entered the store. I hadn't dropped and told him so. He replied "Sure you did, I saw it with my own eyes, and so did everyone in the store" II said "You would lie about it!?" He just smirked at me. The tech at the Spectrum store where I am now a customer told me that dropping a phone can cause it to crack or stop working, but there is no way that it could change the settings to reverse the image on the screen. That had to be done by someone messing with the settings. read more

I needed to upgrade my old iPhone. So Saturday we headed out to see what deals were going on right now. First we went to Boost and they didn't even have any iPhone 12's. Then we went to AT&T in Edwardsville, Il. Things did not go well, I will write a review about that later. I wanted to give up for the day, but hubby was determined, so on we go. Next we go to this Verizon store. We got a young man named Kenneth. Third time was the charm! Kenneth took such good care of us. He was knowledgeable and so easy to talk to. He made hubby and I feel so welcome. It was a wonderful experience. The store is well laid out and clean. They had the new iPhone 12 Pro Max and it's awesome! I ended up with that iPhone in silver. It's a beautiful phone and so far I love it. When you are having a rough day and you end up getting someone like Kenneth to take care of you, it's like a miracle! We will definitely be using this store for any and all needs! Great store, great people, we couldn't be happier! read more

The most unhelpful unprofessional store I've ever walked into. Have tried to use them on multiple occasions and every single time have been handed a paper and told to call the 1800 number. Have went to another VZW store right after and been helped in store without a problem. Terrible read more

I stopped in during a weekday, so there was no line. Got knowledgeable assistance with switching my plan. This was, by far, the most pleasant experience I've had at any Verizon store. Why not 5 stars? Well, that's Verizon's fault, not the store's. Not the lowest prices available, that's for sure. read more

I went into store today talked to Ray, told him I dropped my phone it wasn't working correctly and needed help. He told me it was covered under my warranty go home (an hour away from store) and go on this website and they will send you a replacement. WRONG wasnt covered then spent 10 minutes on hold with customer service to get a new phone ordered. Which could have been done in store, if Ray had done his job. read more

The manager of this business applied my payment to someone else's account!!!! Dawn also accepted a call on her personal cell phone while taking my payment from me. Maybe less time on personal business while your at work would make you do you job correctly. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone to day with customer care trying to figure out why I had a past due balance when I overpaid my last bill. To think I paid a $3 service fee to pay my bill here only to have to spend more of my time fixing their mistake. I was furious I had to call the financial department and tell them my bill was under review to make sure they did not shut off my phone!!!!! Not happy at all and defiantly will not ever go back. read more

Honestly it was a great experience and only lasted 15 minutes for me once it was my turn in line. I brought a trade in into the store and had several questions which were all answered patiently and thuroughly... I'm headed back today to get the iPhone X, out of all the Verizon's in this area, this is easily the most efficient... just a heads up however, yes there is a wait time, they're busy, what do you expect... if you don't like to wait, GO ONLINE to do your business and stop complaining to me while I wait in my place at the store read more

I wish there was an option to select no stars for this store/company. First off, its impossible to talk to a real person when calling them, all you get is an automated person with menu options which are never ones that help. I then went into the store, waited quite awhile to be told they couldn't even look at my phone without insurance. He recommended that I reset my whole iphone, loosing everything! He said that if that didn't work that there was nothing he could do! NOTHING HE COULD DO, what kind of place is this. I'm seriously considering paying money just to remove my line from this company and switch to a different one. I had a young gentleman named Marvell that helped me and he was incredible. Very helpful, polite and a pleasure to be around. On the flip side the waiting time was stupid long. Maybe fifteen year olds will wait that long for service, but they need to staff up. Hey, Verizon this may be your heyday, but you will go down the tubes fast if you keep that up. read more

Wow - what a terrible experience. I have only been switched over to Verizon as a provider for a week and I'm already regretting it. After taking nearly a week to activate my phone - initially it was only supposed to take 12 hours - two reps in this store ("Marvell" and a linebacker-sized gentlemen whose name I can't recall) wouldn't even give me the common courtesy to speak directly to me or explain to me what the problem was. The girl who initially set up my phone was very nice, but since there were so many problems activating it I wonder why a multi-zillion dollar co. like Verizon can't get it together enough to get a new phone activated under an old number. Still shocked at how just rude and incompetent these people are. I feel like I was very patient and understanding for the first four days of issues, and should have been treated like something resembling a human being when I went here for help. Not so much. Just a nightmare all around. Go with someone else. Zero stars. read more

I went in with my mom today so she could get the new HTC One. Nothing to complain about except it took forever to talk to someone and then when we did the lady kept asking over and over again for her to buy this and upgrade that... my mom clearly was not interested, but she kept asking and pushing. It took a while for her to get my mom's contacts transferred since her phone is slow and that's why she upgraded... so that took a long time, which is not the lady's fault... but we could have saved 45 minutes if she just took the hint and stopped trying to sell us stuff we did not want or need. I totally understand asking one or two times, because it is her job... but she was being way too pushy. read more

The manager greeted me upon walking through the door to check me in. Don't listen to the other reviews, seriously, this place was awesome. Went to Verizon in edwardsville to get Canada plan for $10.00- 1000 mins. They didn't put it on and we were charged $1.00 per min on our bill..$95.00 for 95 mins..they don't know what they are doing there!! They need more training that's for sure!!! read more
