If you are a more avid gamer with multiple devices I suggest a 3rd party high end router. they're basic one is great but can be iffy. most of these reviews are people not knowing how to setup their own routers or the ones from them or not knowing if it supports the size of the home. i3 buried cable in our neighborhood last winter, and I had signed up several years before. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The website would say that they are gearing up and coming to our neighborhood soon. Finally a few weeks ago it said it was now live in our subdivision, and I scheduled an installation for the next week.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (BTW, I was still charged for the first month's service). When the installer came, he said there was no box in our front yard, and that he couldn't install it then. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was expecting some kind of response from them, but nothing came through.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called customer service this morning and I just got someone's voicemail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I decided to send a message to them via email. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got a response saying sorry for the confusion, but there were no plans for my neighborhood for service from them. St Louis MO Left my house at 9:00 am on 10/25. I noticed an i3 contractor working in the i3 well across the street. When I got home at 11:30, i3 was down. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I contacted support and they opened an investigation. No updates were provided via email or text.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called again at 5:30 pm and was told no staffing on the weekends and no one was available to resolve the issue CAUSED BY I3 until 10/27 midday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As I and my daughter both work from home this is totally unacceptable now will have to use our cell service as a hotspot. Since this problem was caused by i3, I expected a much faster resolution. As I'm a new customer having i3 for one month, I'm extremely saddened by this service an unsure if my decision to move from AT&T was a good one. read more

We have had i3 for about 6 months. Huge improvement for us over Spectrum. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We did have a complete outage yesterday afternoon. I called and they scheduled an appointment for a couple days out. They also put me on a priority as we had no service[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The next morning I had a technician ( Joseph ) at my door. First he checked outside and located the problem. Fixed it quickly and then went inside to make sure the service was up and running. He was knowledgeable, polite and professional. With Spectrum we would be watching a movie and suddenly get the rotating circle. Sometime it would last for a few seconds and others meant an end to watching tv for the night. It happened alot. I made the switch today and was very impressed with the installation Speed and location the installer Mike M was knowledgeable, courteous and was able to get the new line over finished area in my basement all the way to the middle of my house were i wanted it but was unsure if it was even possible 5 stars. I've had it a few hours now and can definitely say I'm impressed with how fast everything is now absolutely no buffer time on anything. Highly recommend great job i3 read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]i3 Broadband has non-existent customer service. Messages and calls to support are completely ignored. Even on X/Twitter I can't get a meaningful response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They don't support IPv6 with no information on if/when they will. They suffer major slowdowns and packet loss during peak traffic times. Their service has the worst bufferbloat I've ever encountered which ruins any chance of well performing, low-latency gaming, streaming, etc. Their DNS servers are exceedingly slow and somehow gets worse should you attempt to use 3rd party DNS servers. Charter at least had consistent performance, they just couldn't offer 1gbps symmetric internet like fiber can. If you can find another fiber provider in your area, go with them and not i3 Broadband. read more

i3 Broadband is installing cable throughout Lake St. Louis, MO, and the surrounding area The installation contractors that are burying the cable are leaving residential lawns and properties a mess. Open holes not filled in nor grass seed placed. On our yard, a tarp with white rock was left on the Lake St. Louis Blvd right of way that we are to maintain. The possibility of throughing a rock from our lawn mower is great. I contacted Tyson Rutherford (i3 Regional Manager) by phone (309-472-6722) on April 16th. As I write this, it is May 22nd. Tyson promised he would have this rock removed, the ground prepared, and the grass seed planted. Nothing has been done. I would not recommend i3 Broad Band if they can't clean up their installation mess. What kind of service would be provided? read more

Do not let these people in your neighborhood, tell your city council not to issue a permit. They will tear up your yard, leave a little grass seed or some dead sod that's infested with weeds. i3 GRADES -- INSTALLED 5/30/2023 IN HISTORIC DOWNTOWN EDWARDSVILLE, IL INSTALLATION QUALITY: B- TIME TO INSTALL: F STAFF COURTESY: A INSTALLER APPEARANCE AND CLEANLINESS: B+ NETWORK PERFORMANCE: A+++++ Okay, bottom line, Spectrum's UPLOAD speed maxxes out out around 18-21 Megabites/second. That doesn't work for serious at-home workers and gamers. My i3 upload top speed so far has been around THIRTY TIMES (30X) that at around 640 Megabites/second. It makes no sense to have a low upload speed if you work from home, a more symmetric, higher speed keeps things flowing faster. That's why I sought out a service provider that understood that. This 2-way, nearly symmetrical Gigabit service also is great for gaming responsiveness. Now, the hard facts. This install took several months, not as sooth as a cable modem or DSL. The customer service folks were in Saint Louis and responsive, the issue was a few logistical and scheduling and a bad engineering map. I expected this, as it is not trivial to pull fiber. I used to do it myself. Worth it? For me, yes. I would have waited half a year for true Gigabit, low-latency, 2-way service. -J read more
