I have been having trouble accessing my account information online. I went to the Fairfield CT Store on Kings Highway to get assistance. I have been a Verizon customer for 22 years at that store. The store had 2 customers. A wide ride, long nailed, longer lashes, purple haired sales assistant approached me, I told her my problem. She said call 611 on your phone, we cannot help you. I called and stood in the corner talking to customer service for 20 minutes with a very polite Verizon guy on the phone. I told him about my experience with the salesperson, he said give me her name, I walked over and asked her for her name, she said "why", I said "to report you to Verizon", she said "I told you to call 611, I don't have to give you my name", and turned away. Last thing I saw was her supersize caboose careening away. Yeah, I'm changing carriers. read more

I had a problem sending text. Called customer service and they recommended I upgrade from 14 PRO Max to 16 PRO Max. Customer service made a mistake and sent me 16 Max. I called customer service they recommended I go to corporate office in Fairfield to return the wrong phone . I got to Verizon store in Fairfield while I had customer support on the phone, the general manager Brandon said that he will charge me a restocking fee. I put Brandon on the phone with the corporate customer support that I had on the phone and Brandon continued to insist charge me a restocking fee even if they admitted to making a mistake. Brandon said that he was the general manager and that he was the one in charge and that was his decision. read more

I have been a Verizon client for over 20yrs. I recently went into Verizon to add my son to my plan. They were so eager to help with changing my plan. I was told I couldn't get my phone for free even though I was due an upgrade, fine but then I get charged an upgrade fee. THEN your rep Garreth assured me that my total bill every single month will be approx $95- went so far as to break it all down and stop me before I left the store to give me the breakdown and assure me once again. Mind you my monthly bill prior was $54. Well I go to set up my auto pay and I get an o line agent to help and the agent tells me my bill every month will be 200, then tells me no it will be 188 THEN SAYS it will be $170.00. This is unacceptable, unprofessional and quite the scam. How do you allow your employees to con clients like this??? I called customer service and they were extremely unhelpful. I'm so disgusted with the service and your reps that I will be switching and I will not be paying your BS bill. How dare you, had your lousy reps been truthful about the cost I NEVER would have changed my plan. DO NOT USE VERIZON!! read more

I went to this location in an effort to get my phone fixed. i presented my clearly non-functional phone to the employee behind the desk. He asked me what the issue was, i explained that the screen is just doing this flickering nonsense and i cant interact with the phone in any way. he then informed me that they dont offer any repair or diagnostic services and id have to contact verizon technical support. He wrote down a phone number and handed it to me. I paused for a moment as i decided whether or not he was trolling me. I determined he was lacking the required level of intellect to troll people, and it hadnt occurred to him that a person with a broken phone cant call a phone number. After about 30 seconds of me asking "yes but how do i call them?" and waving my clearly broken phone in his face, i finally demanded he give me his phone so i could call the tech support. TLDR: You're better off calling the customer support line yourself, as the people in this store are either unwilling or unable to help you, mostly due to their gross incompetence. read more

I was eligible for a free upgrade and waived activation fee. The people in this store wanted to not only charge me the fee, but also charge me for a higher monthly rate for the phone. I walked out and called Verizon directly. They promised to over-night me a phone, and then I found out it would be four days before I got the phone. For some reason the people in this store will always rip you off and charge you fees that are not required. I can only assume these are for commissions and the result of pure greed. Perhaps Verizon should do away with the commission structure and pay these people a fair wage. Generally, you can count on in-store people to mis-treat you. Do not use this store unless you have previously made an arrangement with Verizon directly. I advise you to get that in writing in advance. Even so, expect the in-store people will hi-jack your account and change the billing to favor themselves. Follow up and ensure Verizon does not overcharge you. Finally, check again each month for the next two months to ensure the account is not changed later--Verizon has added things back onto my account over and over again, even on items that were returned immediately. I can only assume this is done by in-store people trying to boost their commissions. read more

I went there to exchange a phone I received as a gift, and the workers were very unhelpful and slow. The guy had no idea what he was doing. For instance, I had to show him the online receipt on my friends phone because I didn't have one at the moment, and he somehow got out of the safari app and was looking through all my friends app folders trying to go back to it. Anyone who works at a phone store and sells iPhones should know that if you wanted to get back to that app you just double click the home button. I felt like I was more tech savy then him which should probably be the opposite way. After unsuccessfully trying to figure out how to exchange my phone they proceeded to send me to another Verizon store. When I went to that other Verizon store the people working there told me how they are always getting people sent to them from that store because the workers have no idea what they are doing. I will not be coming here next time. I feel like I wasted an hour of my life. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. Do NOT go here to have your phone serviced. I went in to pick up a new phone -- they gave me a credit for an old phone and were supposed to give me a shipping label to send it back to Verizon. Well, the sales rep screwed that up and instead logged it as store inventory. I had to go another store (Brookfield, CT -- EXCELLENT - GO THERE) to get my transfer done (god forbid anyone at the Fairfield store stay late to do this). When there, they explained that the agent at the Fairfield store messed up the credit procedure. Sure enough a few days later I got a call asking me to return my phone to the Fairfield store (their mistake -- but I had to fix it). When I got there, I was ignored, and then had to wait 15 minutes for the person that called me to come out from the back to take my old phone. He then called several minutes later to ask me to come back so he could wipe my phone. I was infuritaed. When I asked him to give me the name and contact information for their manager so I could report their incompetence, he never responded. BRING. YOUR. BUSINESS. ELSEWHERE. read more

The absolute WORST! I was a customer of theirs since mobile phones were carried in a case (roughly 35 years, well before Verizon bought out BAM) and the mobile phone required a large, separate, battery for a power supply. Every time I renewed for the last 15 years I would be quoted a plan price, then the bill would be $15 - $20 higher. This last time in April of 2022 the difference was $85. Enough was enough! I battled with customer service both in store and on the phone and was repeatedly told my bill would be lowered to the original quote, even supplied case numbers, but they continued to bend me over monthly without a resolve. I left and became a T-Mobile customer where my Raye is now locked in for life. And added bonuses were that T-Mobile paid off my old phones and the weak spots where I would lose calls with Verizon are gone. Best decision ever made and T-Mobile saved me $15 over the original Verizon quote. A total of $100 monthly savings!!! read more

Spent $1400 on 2 I phone 7 plus phones via Verizon. I was told if I take the phones to this Fairfield store and they would transfer all the data. This is a factory store not a retailer. We went to the store, they said " we don't do that". I showed them the printed chat from Verizon. Begrudgingly, they did it. 5 days later we realized the Lightening to 3.5 mm headphone adapter was missing on one phone only. Contacted Verizon by chat since, per their website, the adapter should be in the box. They said go to the store. We did and was told we should Not have gotten the one we did! And, that's an Apple problem not ours. I explained that I gave Verizon $1400 not Apple. The Manager "Olgi" I think was his name came out to assist the 2 wise ass kids I was dealing with. Bottom line, he did nothing about this missing $6.00 item. My parting words to him: I'm not happy. I got the part shipped overnight from Verizon chat after I complained to them. I thought Verizon was a top company, they're no different from the rest. Talking with most of their reps are a waste of time. They are quick to switch the call because they don't want to be bothered. I've been on hold from 9:50am it's now 1:05pm. This is unbelievable a big company like this. Then they wonder why they're losing customers. Did all there so sophisticated workers go on vacation or on hiatus, that there is no one to take calls. I've only been with them not even a full month and this is the outcome. Short and simple - horrible. Salesman added items to my bill that I did not authorize. Roadside assistance?? Why the heck would I ever get that thru Verizon. Yet I saw on my bill that it was added on the day I went to upgrade my phone. Staff gets commissions. So - that explains it. I called customer service and they were great. She said they get calls like this from customers ALL the time. Shame on you Verizon - this practice should be grounds for termination of any employee that does it. This store has the rudest employees of any store I've ever been in. I have been a Verizon customer for 19 years and thousands of dollars worth of phone bills. Last week I bought two new phones (I Phone 5 and Galaxy SIII) plus a bunch of accessories. After a few days one of my son's cases broke, an Ottercase, and I took it back to return it and they couldn't have been ruder, more condescending, and disgusting to deal with. After all that, the best they could do is offer me 25 percent off on a new one, seriously, FIVE days after purchasing. I even spoke with the store manager who was a TOTAL nightmare. I am stuck with Verizon unfortunately but DO NOT SHOP in the Fairfield, CT store unless you want to be treated in the most rude, disgusting, condescending manner possible. read more

DO NOT GET A VERIZON PLAN - they are the worst. I am extremely disappointed with Verizon Wireless and everyone should be aware of the experience I am having with Verizon. Verizon has repeatedly allowed others to fraudulently use my name to buy phones and add plans to my account. And when I called to report the fraudulent charges, Verizon repeatedly failed to cancel the orders. Also, I've been charged for plans that I didn't use. When I ask to speak to the supervisor, I am placed on hold and then disconnected. After multiple attempts to talk to someone, I gave up and ended up paying over $250 for a service that I didn't use. I've tried walking into the Verizon store to complain but I am told that they can't do anything and that I need to call Verizon Wireless. When I call Verizon Wireless, the rep tells me that there is nothing they can do and that I should try talking to someone at the Verizon store. When I ask to speak to their supervisor, the calls never go through. Verizon's customer service is horrendous and I am appalled that they allow random people to buy phones and plans using my name without verifying their identity. I will be filing a police report and anything else to prevent any additional fraudulent activities but I also want to inform the public so that no one else has to go through this awful ordeal. STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON WIRELESS because they allow others to use your identity to purchase their products and do not take any responsibility for it. read more

I recently upgraded my iPhone with this Fairfield location. After fighting with Verizon for 2 1/2 hours on the phone, the store manager admitted they made a mistake on my bill. It's 1 month later and the problem still has not been resolved. I was lied to about future charges. My previous phones were supposed to be credited and one of my returned phones was never credited on my account and the other they claim that they never received, in other words my phone was stolen by this store. I could go on and on. I will leave that to the legal system. I recommend you find any other location to deal with and seriously consider transferring to another carrier. read more

Unbelievable that this corrupt, dishonest group is actually affiliated with one of the largest corporations in the world (or perhaps not so shocking ). I went in there to get my daughters phone fixed and they lied through their teeth about its compatibility, how insurance worked, etc. As soon as I walked in there I felt uncomfortable. I should have turned around and ran out. I ultimately bought my daughter a new phone and another item, the promotional rebates/money back for her old phone, etc. were not honored, never showed up on my account. I have been working, so far unsuccessfully, for well over a week to get them to honor the credit they promised me. I used to go to this store all the time and had always had a good experience but recently when my parents went to buy a new phone they offered the jetpack which is a portable hotspot and would only be 99 cents. Well when I came back I told them that was useless and we then proceeded to go and cancel it at the store. The employee helping us said only the manager could cancel the jetpack and he proceeded to take forever to help out. Finally when he came he was dressed very unprofessionally in a soccer jersey and proceeded to try and convince me to keep it. Sadly my parents fell for this scam but when he tried to convince me I could see he was full of shit. He said it would be $80 to cancel along with a $35 restocking fee which while annoying made sense since my parents did sign a contract. Well when we saw the bill online recently we were actually charged $175 and the website said that's how much it would be to cancel. So basically the manager completely lied to our face and is a complete scumbag who should learn how to dress for a job. Never going back here again terrible people work there. read more

I just had the worst customer service experience I can recall in a very long time. For the second time in two days, I brought a brand new phone back to Verizon to fix. This time it was completely broken, even they could not turn it on. I made a very reasonable request, for them to replace it so that I would not have to go a third day in a row without a phone. Instead I was told that I would have to wait two days for them to ship me another broken phone that they had fixed. This seemed unfair to me since they told me that there were brand new models in stock in the store. Why couldn't they simply switch one of them out with my broken phone? The rep refused to do anything else and I asked for the manager. The store manager, Kate Nadirali, also refused to do anything other than waiving the shipping fee (something any reasonable person would expect them to do anyway). She told me that the phone was worth over $500 (I got it for less than $99) and to get a new one I would have to pay full price. I told her I would be willing to pay the difference between the $99 rate and the $56 she told me my current phone was worth, but she still refused. I asked for her boss and she pretended to call him. Then she told me he was unavailable. Then I insisted on speaking to him and she said she texted him. After attempting yet again to work with her, she finally walked away saying that I'll have to make a decision about what I want to do and let her know. I approached her again and again asked to speak to her manager. She called a number on her phone, but she said no one was answering. I asked for his boss and she refused to let me speak to that person. Finally she walked me over to a land line and put me through to their customer service. I eventually got a supervisor, who told me that he couldn't make her give me a phone, but she could do so at her discretion. I handed the phone to her and he told her the same thing. She still refused and handed the customer service supervisor back to me. He repeated that she was able to give me a phone at her discretion and I thanked him (he was very pleasant and was trying to help) and hung up. I repeated what he said to her and again she refused to work with me so that I could walk out the door with a phone. I felt like I had done everything but scream and shout, but no one would help me. I heard the words "no, I can't do that" or "no, I am unable to do that" at least 100 times and said as much to her. Finally, I gave up and told her to ship me someone else's broken and fixed phone, even if it would take days. By this time, I had been at the store for at least and hour and a half. They started the process of sending my recently purchased broken phone back to the manufacturer and getting me someone else's broken phone. Finally the manager made one very small concession. She gave me another broken and fixed phone to use until my new broken phone would get to me. It only took her over an hour and a half to offer that option. After that, it took another half hour for the poor young lady who was clearly a new rep to get my loaner broken phone working and set me up with a new broken phone. All told, I was at Verizon for two hours for something that was a five minute fix. I would even have helped pay the difference and said so repeatedly. I wish I could give them zero stars, but I'm forced to rate them at least one star. Here's the moral, if you want a company to offer you good customer service pleasantly and efficiently, GO ANYWHERE BUT VERIZON!!!! read more

I have been a Verizon Wireless customer since 1997, with the same phone number. I have never had any issues with customer service at the Kings Hwy location prior to Sunday, 11/11/18. I had to go to this store a total number of 7 times in 3 days. The managers were completely unprofessional, rude and actually started a verbal argument with me in front of 4 customers who were outraged. I upgraded to the Iphone x and after 7 visits to their store they still could not transfer my info from my old phone and they kept my old phone in their "safe" with my work information on it and my Apple ID was compromised by someone whom works in their store. I finally last night went to the Verizon Retail store on Black Rock Tpke and the store Manager could not believe what happened to me. I have also been in contact with the Corp Customer Service 6x and still even after my complaint from Monday evening, no one from Verizon Corporate has even contacted me. I am now in communication with Verizon Legal. The Store Manager from the Black Rock Tpke location successfully transferred all my data in 45 min when Kings Hwy "couldn't" and refused at my 7th time there. I warn everyone to NOT go to this store! When I was there last night, two women were there frustrated as they had been there over an hour. Luckily we exchanged contact info as they witnessed the mistreatment from the manager to me. I have filed 3 complaints with Corporate. It is deplorable the way I was treated and I want to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Sadly the store Manager from Black Rock Tpke said many come to his store with "horror" stories from the Kings Hwy location. read more

BEWARE - SCAM ARTISTS! I am a long time customer. My daughter and I went to this Verizon store a few months ago so she could be removed from my family account and open her own account. My rep, Summera, helped me with this. While she was helping me, a man (not sure if he was a manager or sales rep) came up and told me about a special promotion they were having on the Jetpack, which is a device I had NEVER even heard of. He really talked up the device as something groundbreaking. I explained that I came into the store to LOWER my monthly bill, not increase it. Here is where the lies/scam comes in: he told me that the device would be 99 cents, that I would only be charged a $40 activation fee, and that there would be NO MONTHLY CHARGE FOR USING THIS DEVICE FOR TWO YEARS. After the two years, I would have the option of keeping it and paying for the monthly usage fee. While I was considering it, he repeated these terms multiple times. There was no misunderstanding on my part, and my daughter was a witness. After carefully reviewing my statement the other day I see that I am being charged $20/month for using the Jetpack. When I called customer service, they told me there was nothing they could do about it because the Jetback is essentially a new phone line and I am stuck with a two-year contract on it. I am currently escalating this with Verizon corporate because this was sleazy and unscrupulous on the part of the sales rep at Verizon on Kings Highway. read more
