Do I have to give 1 Star? The most incompetent group of People. Stuck with Verizon, no options. My complaint is that they do not value the Customer's time. I waiting a total of 8 hours two separate days. Once the Technician did appear, 3rd day, he tells me if he has to work additional time, I will be charged $75.00 an hour. Verizon Fios is so horrible. They can not get one thing right. We have been with them for about 3 years and we have had so many problems with the service! Sometimes it is actually humorous how they do so many things wrong! What made me wrote this review today is this most recent "outage." With this beautiful So Cal weather, I can't even imagine what impacted the service so bad but the Verizon engineers have been unable to fix this outage for what is going on our 3rd day now. No TV, Internet, or home phone. Absolutely ridiculous! If you are looking into Fios, I would suggest going with another company! Save yourself time & money by not dealing with them at all. read more

THIS COMPANY IS DECEITFUL BEYOND BELIEF Whatever price your given for your service is a lie. If it sounds reasonable its because its promotional and doesnt include equipment rental or taxes and fee prices. My service cost is currently $103/ mo for cable and internet. I have 2 DVR boxes and 1 standard cable box. My bill hasnt been under $192/ mo in the past 4 years. I just cancelled my Cable service today and switched to an internet only month-month plan. I was told I could have 15/3 MBPS for 69.99/ mo, 50/5 MBPS for 79.99/ mo, or 75/20 MBPS for $84.99/ mo. Since I'll be streaming my tv and movies from now on I opted for the $84.99. I asked the rep if there would be any additional taxes or fees to which she said no and that the $84.99 was all inclusive. After I reviewed the email order confirmation I was sent I noticed their shady tactics at work as usual. $84.99 is a promotional price for 12 months at which point service becomes $94.99/ mo. I guess they didnt think that was relevant. Ive seen this with them plenty of times. I took a job interview with a marketing company based out of Ontario CA. After being called back for a second interview I shadowed one of their salesman who went door to door claiming to be a Verizon Accounts Manager for the area and claiming that we could improve their services all while lowering their bill. We wore badges with the verizon logo and looked the part. The company had no affiliation with verizon outside of collecting a commission for each service start and upgrade they completed. But we lied to the face of Verizons customers (with verizons unofficial consent BTW) claiming to be high level verizon employees. We would review a recent bill for the resident then offer them some amazing LOOKING deal where they would get better/ faster service or better equipment and a lower monthly price. What we didnt tell them is that after the promotional period ended (usually 1 or 2 years) their bill would be significantly higher than it was before we switched their service without the possibility of going back or receiving a promotional deal again. Once whatever BS promotional period has ended you can forget about customer appreciation. I had TV and Internet on the FIOS network for 6 years with Verizon. Ive been "leasing" the same cable boxes and modem this entire time. Despite the ridiculous price Ive been paying every month for my service and the fact that Ive more than paid the retail cost of my cable equipment in leasing payments they refused to upgrade any of my equipment. My DVR could hold maybe 7 or so hours of HD programming before it was full and started overwriting programs but hey, what do they care? I requested a newer modem with wireless N capabilities to go with the 75/20 MBPS internet service I just upgraded to and was refused. I pleaded with the rep on the phone and asked if they could swing this in light of my years of being a loyal customer but was told there was nothing they could do. I could pay another $99.99 plus shipping and they would be happy to send me a better router. The rep mentioned that the phone calls were recorded during the conversation as well. A way of saying "Hey I agree with you, your current modem cant even wirelessly keep up with the service you just ordered and you probably deserve an upgrade after all this time but my company doesnt give a $%^# about you and it will be my job on the line if I give you something in recognition of your years of patronage and all the money we've made off of you." The technician that comes out to your property to install your equipment after you sign up, guess what? They dont work directly for Verizon either. Theyre subcontracted, much like the representative who was lying to your face. What does this mean to you? It means that when they start drilling holes, running cables, and screwing equipment into your walls (big noticeable equipment I might add) if they screw anything up or damage anything its not verizon thats gonna be held responsible, Its Bobs General Contracting service or whatever company is subbed out to perform the installation. If you have a problem thats who you will be dealing with. Verizon FIOS is the fastest service you can get. Scuzzy, shady, unethical Verizon installed and owns the fiber-optic lines that the service is delivered through so they're the only provider of fiber-optic service in most (if not all) areas. If there was any other company that offered the same service I would be thrilled to switch! Literally thrilled! It would make me that much happier just to know I wasnt giving Verizon any more of my money. They are beyond deceitful and truly couldnt care less about their customers. If ever there was a company who deserved to lose its entire customer base its Verizon. So do as you please but be warned, what you think is happening is NOT what is happening. And ABSOLUTELY DO NOT trust or even speak to anyone who comes to you claiming to be a verizon rep. They are lying scripted salesmen. read more

Their Contractor GSI is incompetent. They destroyed my plants, left a pile of dirt in my yard, and I did not even order cable. They were installing in my neighbor house. They also did not ground their system when installed. Death to the Customer!!!! Do not let these clowns on your property. read more

Wow, one star is too high. These guys get the prize for building good technology, and then using deceit, misdirects, leave-outs and other sales tactics to get and painfully keep your business. They have now slowed down my service so I can no longer get NetFlicks. It was working about 90% of the time for a couple of years, and now it only works about 10% of the time. I will drop them, even if I can not get a replacement, they are so painful to do business with. Take any alternative you can get for cable TV instead of these guys. read more

Can I give a negative star??? They don't even deserve a star!! We pay for multiple boxes and we have had at least 4x a week we cannot get on to the "on demand" which we pay for the movies that you have to access the on demand to get to. I called them to fix this problem and.... After holding and being on the phone for 30 mins the guy tells me we have a technical issue right now in your area so it will be fixed by 9 am!!! I tell him that would be fine but what about the other times it has been an issue??? Could I get a technician out her to look at it??? Yes you could but you would have to call in again and wait to talk to one!!! AFTER I was transferred to 2 people( one being the head supervisor) Are you kidding me???? DECEITFUL AND SHADY PRACTICES!! I have had the worst experience to date with a cable/internet provider!! Their representative made me a list of empty promises (a discount on both my cable & wireless accounts and discounted rates on equipment), which were never honored. That was in addition to ordering the wrong equipment. I have since (April of 2014) been trying to have it resolved. All I have obtained from two of their actual "supervisors" is a website where I could "write a letter" since there was nothing they could do for me because their rep never wrote any notes about the discounts she promised me, in her efforts, to get me to sign on. Apparently, I need to write this letter to corporate to get the recording release authorized!? I've heard of getting the run around, but this is ridiculous!! I have been a Verizon wireless customer since they started and have had their FiOS service before but their customer service is just NOT what it use to be!! Also, I have been having problems paying my bill online for the past two months and contacted their IT department and all I got from them was, "we have been having problems with our website, keep trying or pay it over the phone", which there is a service fee for!! When I asked to have the service cancelled due to the UN honored agreement's, they said they would be happy to but that I would be liable for a $375 early termination fee!? Dear Verizon, My name is Harvette Pettis. The account number is 012569124031145203. I have never been so humiliated in my life. I never once thought that I would experience such horrible service from your company in a million years. When I moved into my home July 3rd of this year I was so excited to know I can finally have Verizon Fios because I wanted to experience all the great things people were talking about. Unfortunately this has been the worst experience ever. We purchased our home brand new so everything in it was up to par so that when we need to set up services it is ready for the next person to perform services with no hassle. The technician that came out and put a hole in my wall to run their own cable because he claimed that whoever did the wiring in our home didn't do it right. The bad part about it is he didn't even ask me if this is something we would want to do when it came to running his own wire and putting a hole in our wall. When he was all done he came to me and showed me what he did and that was that. The technician made such a big deal about the wiring until we complained to the builder about it. The builder sent the person out who did the wiring and he explained to me exactly what had happened. There was nothing wrong with the wiring at all. Because of your technician being lazy I had to spend $150 for the guy to fix what your technician did. The technician from Verizon just didn't want t to take the time to use our wiring because he was in a hurry anyway. The picture quality is horrible. I have asked Verizon about sending me another box because the one I have is old and they told me that had nothing to do with the picture quality. After the agent did the test and didn't have a problem on their end then he told me he was going to send out a new box. I don't understand why the agent told me that it wasn't the box, but then told me that it may be. My other problem is I called to inquire about adding a phone service and I explained to the agent Melissa that I wanted to keep my bill under $100 which she said it would be over so I told her that was ok. Then she told me about a service called Life Line. She asked me if I would qualify for it and I told her yes. So she told me that the phone line would be only $10 extra. She then told me that the lifeline would start right now even though we don't have approval yet. She also said she was going to be sending me a couple of emails and for me to disregard it because that is not the right price and wait for the bill to come in the mail because that bill will reflect with the right amount which will be under $100. Well once again we were screwed. The bill came and it said $140. I was livid when I saw the bill. The agent was dishonest in so many ways. When I called to bring it to you all attention the agent Sam laughed at me when I asked him who was the girl's name. He then told me he couldn't tell me, and then when I told him I was going to pull up the emails from her he then told me what her name was. Then I asked to speak with her he laughed once again. Then I asked him well when we call isn't there a recording he laughed and said that was for training purposes. At that point I was humiliated and didn't know who else to speak with because the gentlemen were out of line. I didn't know that customer service is allowed to laugh at customers when we are only asking questions. Sam was unprofessional and I hope he isn't being that way to other customers. Because of him you have lost a customer and I haven't been with your company for a full month yet. I'm writing you this letter in hopes that it will get to someone that can make sure that this doesn't happen with your other customers. I really wish that we could have worked out because I was so excited about having your services in the beginning but honestly it has been a nightmare from hell!!!!!! read more

There's a $99 connection fee. The Tech came, didn't introduce himself, holding a long drill and asked my teen daughter "where's your basement" she was scared, closes the door and calls me. He walked around and didn't say a word the entire time except when he was on a personal Calls. He literally cut the cord from the previous cable company I had and installed his. He left a mess in my living room after drilling a hole 3xs as big as the wire and left. Didn't even say bye! I reported it (no one cared). My WiFi drops often and so does my cable. I've spent countless hours on hold and too many phone calls. They left out channels that I should have had and said every time I want a channel added I have to call them! I had 165 channels but DID NOT have CNN, Food network, hallmark and kids channels... At times refusing to send a tech out and then saying sign the agreement to pay $200 if the tech has to fix something extra!!! Absolutely ridiculous. I'm finally canceling after 28 days of nonsense and horrible Cust Serv. Their competitor has already come out reinstalled for no charge and gave me a discount... their service is outstanding, the tech was friendly and played with my younger kids. read more

Verizon Fios is the most pathetic company I have ever dealt with. They don't even deserve one star!!! Too bad there aren't minus stars for ratings! We haven't been able to get on our internet for months. It takes forever to connect! They tell us everything is fine even though our speed is at 13!!! We requested new router. They wouldn't send one. Every time I call customer service, I have been on hold for lengthy periods of time! I am now on hold, almost two hours!!! I have been transfered from one rep to another, with no help from anyone! They also turned our phone off since we were renewing our contrac with someone else! I called them livid because our alarm system kept going off without the land line. We are on a month to month only, until we find a service we want to give our business to. We are still paying Verizon the big bucks for our service and they refuse to give us decent and respectable customer service. The reason Verizon Fios behaves this way is because one fed up customer, here and there, doesn't seem to matter when they have so many customers. If I could give a lower star rating I would. Run don't walk from this company! I ordered there great bundled package of TV, internet and phone I saw on there web site said one set of terms with contract and alittle higher one with out the 2 year contract. Took the one with out the contract. Was told bill would be 89.99 first bill 110.37 called and asked why the difference was told taxes and fees. It upset me but continued on 1 month later decided I really wanted the next step up TV package missed some channels so I called while the promotion was still going on . Lady was helpful said no problem to upgrade the TV one plan higher said it would be a total of 135.37 per month. I asked would this change effect any thing was told no all is still the same just more TV channels bundle was still intact. Bill arrived for 222.87 I called and asked what the heck happened I was told that since I upgraded my plan I lost the bundle. When I asked why a TV plan us a 100.00 more they said i increased my internet too. I told them I never increased my internet never even spoke about internet and never noticed any difference. They informed me I had to pay for it since I had it even though I claim to not have ordered it and they could not get the promotional price back so all they could do is give me the plan for 165.87 per month . When I told them this was unacceptable I was informed I would have to pay the 190.00 early termination fee since I had a two year contract. I told them i never agreed to that either. They said they would transfer me to the terms division but given all the other help I got I figured I was better off fighting it in the government dispute department for utilities then they have to prove I agreed to any of the additional charges.
