My family moved into our house almost 3.5 years ago. It's one thing to get mailers (that go…read morestraight to the recycling bin) every couple of months. It's another thing to walk into my house while my wife and I are working with contractors, interrupt, then - when discovered - resist leaving until I have to walk you to the curb and ensure you walk away. It's another thing to stand for 5 minutes knocking on a door with a NO SOLICITING sign on it before finally leaving...but waiting out on the sidewalk for several minutes afterwards. Yet it's another thing to keep coming every few of months - cosplaying as technicians (the sneakers are the giveaway) and entering our now-fenced off courtyard - for a clownishly aggressive sales pitch, then resist leaving the courtyard after hearing "no thanks, please leave now" from the property owners. But what happened last Thursday was another thing entirely: to hang out in a private driveway, stand outside a parked car, waiting for the owner and his child to exit the vehicle for several minutes, refusing to leave when asked (then told) to do so, and then mean-mugging your prospective customer through the windshield glass of his car for a couple more minutes before finally walking off....but not without further staring down your prospective customer...it's the establishment of an unthinkable new low. Listen Spectrum: I was never a fan. However, any chance of getting our business has been completely obliterated by your door-to-door sales team in Metro San Diego. The aggressive, persistent presence: annoying. The bro-speak sales pitch: slimy. The cosplaying as techs: creepy. The ignoring of direction to exit private property: criminal. The attempt to physically intimidate people while trespassing: hostile and criminal. I don't like this trajectory. You've been reported to the FTC. You've been reported to Spectrum Corporate. Next time it's San Diego Police Department.

Download the app, create your account, and everything else is pretty much there. I was given my router, and Jessica was transparent about prices. She even went above and beyond to make sure I'm getting the best pricing. The only con I see is the horrible, congested area it's located in, but what can you do when Trader Joes is right there.

After each carrier blamed the other for the inability to unlock the card, and after having been transferred from one agent, department to the next without the agent explaining the situation to the former, I was left to continue repeating myself?! Finally, I headed out to the Hillcrest location. These two men there, one in his mid thirties; the other late 30's had these arrogant attitudes as if I were inconveniencing them?! They said "you will have to call them, Spectrum , to get them to unlock the card." We can't do anything to help you?!" Back and forth both Spectrum and Cox blamed the other. Now just how am I supposed to call them without service?! I don't know what to tell you, but you can't come in here and expect to use our phones to get your card unlocked?!?" I said absolutely nothing more. I got up from my seat and walked out the door. Look into AT&T, Verizon, or any other carrier. Save your time and money. There are SO many other companies that will compete for your business and are concerned with customer retention. This business couldn't care less about obtaining your business, let alone retaining it.

Royan was a champ for helping us out about a week ago. We wanted to switch over to Spectrum Mobile…read morefrom T-Mobile because of the great prices so we headed to our local Spectrum at about 1pm. We planned on adding 3 lines and also wanted to upgrade a phone. Unfortunately, we had a 3 hour sidequest because T-Mobile was a nightmare to leave. We needed a TMobile transfer pin so we were told to contact them by phone. The TMobile phone customer service said we needed to go in store. When we got to the store, they said we needed to call customer service. ANYWAY, we finally got the pin we needed and headed back to Spectrum at about 4pm. The Spectrum guys were swamped because they were short-staffed by two guys. This also happened to be a day where they had a few complicated customer service issues to deal with prior to helping us again. So, when Royan began helping us with our final transitions, we of course, were no exception to complicated issues. One of our phones was so ancient that it wouldn't adhere to simple transfer protocols (ESim activation). We ended up upgrading that phone and succesfully porting everything over. Royan also had to upgrade another phone and then activate the other two lines. All told, we didn't leave the store until 30 minutes PAST CLOSING. The entire time, Royan was upbeat while also being apologetic for all the issues. He remained patient and dilligent throughout the process and he finally got us everything we requested. While it wasn't an ideal amount of time to spend in the store, the experience was well-done because he worked until everything was completed and IT WAS DONE RIGHT. I had no issues with the lines, data transfers or the billing. Special props to Royan because he worked from open to way past closing and he did it with a great attitude the entire time. I know Spectrum customer service can get a bad rap for the extended wait times and slow service but please remember to factor in difficulty and quality of service received. Thanks Spectrum Carmel Mountain!

When you live in the monopoly area of Spectrum internet cable, then try to get the best out of it. Need to call and request update package every six months since they keep increasing price. When I finally decided to cancel, the experience turned into a complete nightmare. They claimed I was still under contract and referenced something I supposedly signed back in 2012--over a decade ago--which made no sense. When I asked for proof, they provided that old document and tried to enforce it as if it were current. On top of that, after I canceled, I was charged twice and then told I owed a $280 cancellation penalty. I spent over an hour and a half on the phone trying to sort it out, only to get nowhere. Now I have to follow up again just to fix their mistakes. After nearly three decades as a customer, this is extremely disappointing. Instead of valuing long-term loyalty, they made the cancellation process frustrating, time-consuming, and costly. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before signing up.

They increase the prices every single contract, but give new customers a great deal. BUYER BEWARE…read more I had been a customer for 15 years. After the contract expired every single time, the price went up substantially. This last time, I was told what valued customer I was. But they didn't want to give me a new customer deal or even close. They just tried to give me a lower level program for the same price of my last contract when I wanted to keep the same programming. Then, I was offered a 10.00 a month increase for two years. I stated that new customers were getting the same package for 25.00 + less. I went all the way to a supervisor and corporate, and Dish refused to give me even close to what a new customer would get. It was worth it to them to lose me as a customer , and lose over 1400 a year, than to give me the discount of 240.00. We just use our smart TV and don't miss Dish one single bit. Now I am saving 118.00 a month!
