We live in University City and wanted to get an outdoor antenna for the digital over the air channels. We had been using an indoor antenna but could only get about 35 channels and no KPBS channels. We ditched our cable system for an Over-The-Air (antenna) system and have been extremely happy ever since. Mark and his team offered a system that met our needs- even as we live on the north side of a hill that blocks some reception from SD stations. Although they initially forgot to connect three of my four TVs, and had left my house, once I alerted them to the issue, they returned the same day to ensure that each TV was connected via cable, and they ensured that each TV was receiving channels. If you going the antenna way, these are the guys to call. I got rid of cable a few years ago. Coverage was OK, but started to deteriorate. I've been looking to kick DirectTv to the curb for several years but never could fine the correct over the air antenna that would pick up all local channels especially CBS. I spent $600 and I'm not happy with the result. First, they have some guy named Byron who can't even take a message on the phone. I wanted to reschedule the install because I wanted to be at home when it took place so I can oversee it. The installer never got the message because they have someone unprofessional answering the phone, so the install was half-assed in my opinion. See pictures. They only secured 2 out of 4 bolts of the antenna mast and I can see it shaking in the wind. I don't know how long before it's gonna come crashing down. They drilled holes in my stucco to hold the cables in place and chose to put them where they stick out like sore thumbs. They could've used the ones that comes with thin nails and put them in a better location where they're hidden for a cleaner look (just like the satellite tv guy previously did). They also drilled a big hole in my stucco unnecessarily even though there were 2 holes available already (previously done by the satellite tv guy). I communicated with them about this so don't think that I gave them a chance to correct it. It seems like they have a lot of customers lined up to get their antenna system installed so they don't care if the job was done professionally or not. How can anyone support this company ethically? I don't recommend them, go elsewhere and get your money's worth. read more

Contacted to see if someone could look at my installed rooftop antenna and give me some options for improved reception. I was willing to consider just about anything, including raising the height of the antenna mast or complete new antenna installation. I left my information and was contacted by a technician named "Mark." Set up an appointment for Thursday, the 21st of May. My daughter cancelled a work-related appointment to be present at the house so she could receive an estimate, authorize work, and provide payment. No one showed up. I called Mark's number and left a message. Never received a return call. Unreliable. read more

Mark and his employee did an excellent job installing antennas for us to receive free, over-the-air TV. I was using a Mohu Leaf inside antenna before and was only getting 8 channels or so. We now get 34 and they come in crystal clear. Also, Mark was very responsive in scheduling time to do the installation and he got it done quickly. If it was possible to give zero stars... The office staff is rude. I was attempting to get some info about getting the antenna on our building fixed- or at least looked at. The "lady" I spoke with didn't want to help me, or answer any questions. Sadly, there aren't too many antenna services, so we may have to use them anyway. read more

Excellent service and quality workmanship. My husband and I dumped DirecTV at $160 a month and spent $490 having an antenna installed. We had a few small issues with the initial reception but Mark was extremely patient and eventually after trying a few things to resolve it increased the height of the antenna and we now have picture perfect clarity. With Netflix AppleTV and all the other options I would never consider paying for Satellite or cable again. If you are thinking of making the move, I would highly recommend Custom Antenna Services. Quite UNIMPRESSED with the work. Hired to cable a POE camera to the router, Mark forgot the correct cable and substituted CAT5 for CAT 6. He made TWO connections in what should have been a straight shot, end to end. Worse, while being paid in full for a shoddy job, he was asked to come out again on a simple cable power problem. He never even responded. So, forget this outfit, it's too hit and miss and not run as a business. read more

Installing an over the air antenna is a good long term investment and was step one in our 3 step program on cutting the cable cord. Step 2 will be replacing cable service with a streaming service and step 3 is a faster internet speed - if necessary. Mark came over our house, installed an antenna on our chimney and hooked it up to the existing cable that runs through the house. In about three hours time, he was done and now we have crystal clear reception on all the local channels - much better picture quality than with our cable. Should have done this long ago! read more

These people are amazing. We got a bid to put an antenna on the top of our condo complex and, without going into details they ran into MAJOR problems with the wonky wiring in our complex and had to spend extra time and do extra wiring. On top of that, we had to get them back out to do some adjustment when we lost some of the channels after the original work. When the time came to pay the bill it was the original bid--no extra charge for the extra work. Highest recommendation. read more
