Absolutely abysmal place. I went in looking to open an account and get a new phone with my old number on it. First thing they told me is that I'd need to get a new number. I was disappointed but still needed an upgrade so I went along with it. I told the guy I wanted the minimal plan since I'm on a tight budget and he told me the lowest plans go was 75$ a month but that I'd get a free line that my old phone would be connected to. He also told me I could get a free trial of their home internet and that it would wave an activation fee. I thought it was great so agreed. Two days later when I checked my account, the activation fee was still there, the home internet was running me 80$ a month, the "free" line was 55$ a month, the activation fee was still on there, and they offered a cheaper plan. So not only was I lied directly to, but I was expected to pay 4x what the guy told me I was going to. After spending two hours on the support line I got my bill to ONLY twice what they told me it would be in store and all I had to do was return the home internet router they shoved on me. I went back about a week later after finding out I could transfer my old number and return the internet equipment. I should have know though, that they wouldn't accept the thing and I instead had to return it at a UPS store. If you enjoy being conned and lied to by a bunch of red shirt cronies this is a place for you. But if you have any self respect I'd recommend you steer well clear of this place. read more

As a long time customer of Verizon, I am sorry to say that the Mall Road location is a sorry excuse for a Verizon store. My husband needed to port a number over from his previous employer to my account and get a new phone. When we walked in the store we were greeted by an employee only to give us a phone number to call because they didn't do that in store. My thing is.. why not offer this service when you have droves of employees stalking the floor walking right by you, when the only help they're being is to hold up the counters. This makes me want to switch to AT&T or help me Rhonda.. T-Mobile. Nothing grinds my gears more than to sit here with employees watching us struggle to get this done. I have had a terrible time getting my account straightened out. I have a Business account, and it is nearly impossible to get any satisfaction. I have been with them for almost 2 years, and every month I have to spend 2 or more hours suffering through talking to non US support, who drag me along before I can talk to a Supervisor, and then They say they can not connect me to a US Rep. I have gone over the whole debacle with everyone of them, and even though they say they are writing down in my file, everyone of them cant seem to find all the information. I left a negative review on "X" and finally a Business Rep Matt Burgess contacted me last month after nearly 2 years. I had the same conversation with him. He said he would get back to me....Well guess what, it will be a month ago on the 24th, no response back. I tried calling and I emailed today to request an update. If They didn't have my account so screwed up by placing devices they never sold me on my account, and show that I owe for them I would had left a long time ago. But They are in complete denial, since I went to an independent rep in Delhi Township, Cincinnati Ohio to process my account. its sad that I know I have no leverage with them, and apparently now sending me a nearly 700 bill that was supposed to be 35 x 2 form 2 lines, I'm just at my wits end. I would not advise You to use them if You ever want to use Customer Service, Because Good Luck with That I want US Customer Service. I've honestly never been to a Verizon store that's had more standoff-ish employees than this one. The entire time I was in the store (which was approximately an hour) it felt like my presence was an inconvenience to the staff. They were extremely reluctant to help with any questions and there wasn't a single employee who was really trying to assist me in any way, shape, or form. The vibes from the moment you walked into the store were heavy and it felt like no one who worked there wanted to be there or help customers. I came here looking to switch our cellphones from Sprint. When I came in an associate was waiting at the door to check me in. Simon was the person who helped me with my transactions, and Sara, the store manager came to assist. I ended up switching 4 lines or numbers to Verizon. Based on my experience today, I was very pleased- costumer service was up to par. It's a little more expensive than what I am currently paying with Sprint, but we will see if the service/ towers work better. The place was clean, organized and there's plenty of associates to help costumers to their needs. read more

If you are a new customer they are great but existing customers they do not care about! I have had the worse experience not only physically in their store but also dealing with Verizon phone and chat support. I purchased a iPhone 11 Pro via online, I've been a customer for over 2 years and they advertised 20.00 month for iPhone 11 Pro ( catch only for new customers) ok, ok... so via chat the representative tells me if I upgrade etc (see photos of actual chat below) that I would qualify for $350.00 off this phone and that I wouldn't have to trade in my old phone. Well that was a lie. The discount to $33.?? a month was a lie, the store had a million excuses as to why my paid for phone was not available giving me the run around and same with the phone representative. I walked into the store, and I was asked to wait in the car until it was my turn. I explained that I needed a new phone. They took my name and number. I waited in my car about 45 minutes. Then I was told I couldn't buy a phone because I wasn't an authorized user on the account, and the store was closing in 3 minutes. They also told me that they wouldn't wait for my authorized user to arrive. When I got home I checked the account online and found that I am an authorized account manager. read more

Had a terrible experience at this store. We were quoted a 30 to 40 minute wait. It was a Saturday so we understood that it might take a little longer. A women started to help us and the first step needed to be completed on Verizon's help line. She told us to come get her when we were done. When we finished we attempted to flag her down but she was sitting helping other guests. She walked past us multiple times, going straight to the manager to ask him questions, and made eye contact with us from across the room. She never ended up coming back and disappeared the back room for 20 minutes. Because she started helping us our name was taken off the weighty list. After and hour of us sitting and waiting for her to come back/us be able to call her over the manager finally came over and asked if we had been helped. We had to add our name back to the wait list and waited another 30 minutes before we finally had to leave. The manager was not help except for putting us back on the list. Will never waste 2 1/2 hours of my life in that store again and will be going to another store. read more

Terrible customer service the man who set up the phone put a pin I did not even say and I was unable to pay my bill have been trying to get a hold of someone to pay it and got hung up on when they finally called me to ask about it. She asked for a credit card I told her I needed my pin and was in the middle of talking and she hung up how rude so I still have no clue how to pay it if nobody will help me. This business is crooked to the bone. I mistakenly believed that repetitive and explicit statements would be sufficient to prevent them from selling me something I did not order. WRONG. They did exactly that, and then pleaded ignorance afterwards. They wasted my time, and in the end, the salesman did not succeed in getting his (expected) commission. But they know most people will never figure out that this operation is little different from a stock market boiler room. Notably, I asked them for a printed, itemized, receipt. They will not give you one. What you get instead is an "order confirmation" with ZERO detail as to what you have "ordered"...it only shows the price paid. You must go to their website AFTER they have completed the transaction to find out precisely what you have supposedly agreed to purchase. It is all part of the screw job, as they surely know most customers will not do this. What they also don't tell you...is that they will charge you a $50 "restocking fee" for any device, regardless of cost, should you choose to return it, for any reason. Nor will they refund the $40 "activation fee", even though YOU may have to do the activation, via their tangled skein of phone "support". Prepare for dropped calls, unreasonable hold times, and inter-departmental transfer Hell. The ONLY reason that they get away with this is that Verizon is part of a telecom oligarchy that has existed since the invention of the phone. The FCC provides this tiny group of telecoms with monopoly radio frequencies. In exchange, a heavy tax is extracted, which we ultimately pay for. While there is no doubt all of our elected representatives associated with this business have received what is effectively a bribe, you can make a difference. Even a minority of voices, can get the ball rolling. I - and you - will want to contact our elected representatives, the FCC, the FTC, and whatever other organizations are associated with regulating businesses of this nature, at both the state and federal level. read more

Absolutely horrible service. I went in to upgrade my iPhone and they tried to talk me into the iPhone X repeatedly after I said I wasn't interested. Once the sales rep realized I wasn't falling for his sales pitch, his attitude became rude and he rolled his eyes. He wasn't helpful when I was trying to find a good case and once again tried to get me to buy things that I didn't need including Hum. This experience made me want to switch to a different service provider. All phone stores are about the same but the arrogance and ignorance at this location is blatantly obvious. read more

I had a great experience with the Verizon store because of one awesome employee, Andy. After living abroad for several years, we finally returned to our local Verizon to get our plan overhauled and our phones updated. They took care of everything and handled all of our questions in a professional and knowledgeable way. Andy was the bomb. A lot seems to have changed for Verizon in just a few years. Employees stand with you with a tablet and handle everything there. It's nice if you want to walk around a little bit and get info on different devices. Regardless, Andy wasn't pushy, and had great recommendations for us and what we should do with out plan. Even the staff checking us in was happy to greet us. I would recommend not buying in to the "I came here on a Saturday morning to a store that serves a huge community when I knew it would be its busiest and didn't get immediate, one-on-one personal service" mentality. I say a lot of huffing-and-puffing from people, and I just don't get it. Either an alarming number of people have never worked a customer-service job, or an even more alarming number of people are just assholes. Amazing. Arrived Sunday morning about 10 minutes before opening. There was already 5-6 cars parked outside with people ready to go into the store. It was cold out so nobody was standing outside the door, so, first come first served, I decided to get out of my car and wait to go in first. Thinking there would only be 2 sales agents to welcome us in, I was very wrong. They opened the shutters and there must have been 10 sales agents standing there waiting for the crowd to rush in. Each of them professional took a customer to the side and within 60 seconds of opening all the customers had a sales agent with them. Thought this was great and worth a share. The guy we worked with was awesome. Would recommend using this store. read more

Verizon has terrible customer service and the local store sales and managers lie to make a sale. I would figure out a way to get away from them, take the hit if you can. I did and have much better coverage with T-Mobile, the better coverage rep that Verizon use to have no longer applies. They don't use CDMA anymore. Case in point my local factory store has almost zero coverage in the store, talk about irony. I've been gone a month and thought I was done with them after paying off 2 devices after only 5 months service and paying my last bill in full only to have them charge me $30 more, after over an hour getting disconnected and bounced around I gave up and paid the extortion so my credit wouldn't get ruined which they threatened to do. read more

Let me begin by saying I DO NOT work for Verizon. Quite the contrary, I work for a competing carrier as a field test engineer. My parents have been with them for EVER and, as they are happy with the service, I don't try to push my carrier on them. My dad needed a different phone, he just cannot hang with touch screens. We went in on a Sunday afternoon and yes, it was busy. We waited, maybe 20 minutes. No huge loss, we'd already eaten and had time to spare. Anyway, we chose a new phone for him and when Jake came over I told him what we needed. We needed to get the phone and maybe improve their plan BUT could not exceed their current bill. They are both retired and couldn't afford another increase. Not only did he get them a BETTER plan, he actually saved them $15 per month. And that INCLUDED the payment for the new phone. My plan was to just buy the phone and, it still is. But, in order to save a little, I will pay it off after the first or second billing cycle, thus increasing their monthly savings to $23. I know that nowadays in the retail atmosphere pushing the new and shiny is the goal. I understand it but, Jake and his manager set that aside to help my folks out and make sure they had EXACTLY what they needed at an affordable price. Not surprised to see the previous comments on this store falling short and putting people in sales in a bad light. I went there to upgrade/renew service. Salesperson could not or would not answer basic questions on pricing and charges. After leaving the store due to his constant interruptions and small fits over my questions not to mention his insistence on "bundling" a crap ton of accessories that I repeatedly told him I don't want or need, I contacted Verizon via phone and was able to spend a lot less and save even more on my monthly service than the "salesman" ( and I'm using the tern loosely) was quoting me in this location. Word of advise- if Michael Moore isn't working that day (because he is amazing!), Call Verizon corporate or do it all on line. read more

Once again this location strikes again with their poor management an extremely rude, arrogant employees. My house was recently struck by lightning and I needed to get a phone replaced that was fried from the power surge we experienced. I went in an explained the situation and mentioned that money was not an issue since insurance was covering everything. The salesman, (not for sure what his name was because he didn't even introduce himself), was only interested in selling me the newest Android instead of replacing the one I already have. I told him I liked my current model and he basically called me a fool for not wanting to upgrade and said I would be back to upgrade after I see what I am missing out on. I left and said I would just order it online. It has been about a month since my last experience here and I still get to encounter the lovely, hissing geese in the parking lot. This was the last straw, I am switching to AT&T solely because of the horrible service at this location. read more

By far not a great experience what so ever. We just switched to Verizon using this store. We've had them a week and have had two major issues at this store. First off I wanted the new iPhone 6 64gb and was told that's what he ordered and my ship date was Halloween. All good. Come to find out he ordered the 16gb. Go in to have the issue fixed and was told my ship date would now be November 7th. Uh not ok considering we only have our old cell providers till I get my phone and we aren't paying them another month because Verizon's mistake. Anyways to fix the issue we ended up having to pay $200 more and ordered the 124gb. Which is in stock and shipped the same night. Well come to find out they forgot our apartment number..... And fed ex couldn't finish my delivery. After several calls to them we got around having to go to Verizon and just had fed ex edit my address and send that to the driver. Welp the driver didn't wanna return so here I am wasting my day and plans waiting till 7:30 to go to fed ex and pick it up. If they would've just ordered the correct phone in the first place and put the right address I wouldn't be dealing with all of this mess. But nope this store just keeps messing up. And the fact we just switched to them and are already dealing with this doesn't leave a good impression. Oh and this location is always packed with a long wait. Which is fun.... Maybe we will leave Verizon if we have more issues. If not I'll update my review and possibly add more stars. Just beware and check over their orders for your phones and everything else a million times to avoid avoidable issues they seem to make over and over. read more

This corporate Verizon store never fails to disappoint. Extremely long waits for "service" are the norm, and there is never any sense of urgency among the staff. It seems that even the smallest situation must be run through the Manager, who hides behind closed doors like the great and powerful Oz. I don't believe I have ever dealt with another retail store with such a Can't Do attitude. Thankfully their phone customer service has always been exceptional or I would have switched carriers long ago just based on my experiences in this store. read more

My family just switched from verizon to AT&T after being verizon customers for over 10 years. Verizon, particularly people at this verizon store on Mall Rd. refused to deal with a problem we had. My son's phone wasn't working well, a replacement was sent a few times and the problem remained. Managers at the store refused to upgrade/replace the defective device, saying that we are obligated to pay off the defective phone first. I chatted with verizon, explained the situation and I was told over the chat, that I can return the defective phone at the store and I won't need to pay it off. I got a reference number and was promised that everything will go smooth and easy. When I brought the phone together with the number, explained what happened, the manager disappeared behind the back door for about 15 minutes and when he came out, he said he can't accept the phone back and can't find any reference numbers. All the managers and sales reps were arrogant, rude and unwilling to help. Absolutely unbelievable customer service. Verizon was the last company I would expect treating customers like that. I will return the phone directly to verizon and share this story with all the screenshots and details anywhere I can. read more

I've been with them since about April, this and I have had fits with them about their customer service and the lack of knowledge the employees have about Verizon. The salesperson will lie and tell you what ever you want to hear to make the sale. I've called customer service multiple times and get a different answer from them then I received from the employees at this store. You are looking at a long wait to be helped on anything in this store. If you live in the Florence area and work in the tri-state area I recommend going elsewhere for a cell phone provider, AT&T and Sprint will work just as good for you in the area and are CHEAPER..
