Internet is unreliable. Service has been out multiple times this week. No offer of a credit to my bill for the inconvenience.

I said right over here is the place that I had it before with another company. He said. Oh no, this is what you ordered. I said, well over here is where I had my Wi-Fi hooked up before, like I said. He said no, this is the way it's supposed to be hooked up. So it took me literally 5 minutes to sign on and then every time I wanted to do anything after that, like watch a video? LOL the little hourglass would show up. I called them, I said I'm bringing it back. I don't like it. When I brought it back, the man said this is nothing more than dial up. This is really slow. Why did you order that? I said I didn't. I said the person that took my order ordered this. I didn't tell them I wanted this. He said. Yeah, that figures it happens all the time. He said it's a language barrier. Yeah, isn't that strange. Why do we have a language barrier? I live in the same country I was born in. People here should understand what I'm saying. Maybe it's because they're not here, they're somewhere else. What do you think? To add insult to injury, they sent me a bill for $125. I called them and told them I wasn't going to pay it and why, they said, Oh yeah, that's fine. And they took it off. Never again. By the way, this company is now known as AltaFiber.

I was disappointed but still needed an upgrade so I went along with it. I told the guy I wanted the minimal plan since I'm on a tight budget and he told me the lowest plans go was 75$ a month but that I'd get a free line that my old phone would be connected to. He also told me I could get a free trial of their home internet and that it would wave an activation fee. I thought it was great so agreed. Two days later when I checked my account, the activation fee was still there, the home internet was running me 80$ a month, the "free" line was 55$ a month, the activation fee was still on there, and they offered a cheaper plan. So not only was I lied directly to, but I was expected to pay 4x what the guy told me I was going to. After spending two hours on the support line I got my bill to ONLY twice what they told me it would be in store and all I had to do was return the home internet router they shoved on me. I went back about a week later after finding out I could transfer my old number and return the internet equipment. I should have know though, that they wouldn't accept the thing and I instead had to return it at a UPS store. If you enjoy being conned and lied to by a bunch of red shirt cronies this is a place for you. But if you have any self respect I'd recommend you steer well clear of this place.

My husband needed to port a number over from his previous employer to my account and get a new phone. When we walked in the store we were greeted by an employee only to give us a phone number to call because they didn't do that in store. My thing is.. why not offer this service when you have droves of employees stalking the floor walking right by you, when the only help they're being is to hold up the counters. This makes me want to switch to AT&T or help me Rhonda.. T-Mobile. Nothing grinds my gears more than to sit here with employees watching us struggle to get this done. I thought we were in a phone store.. not a lounge. Wish I could've given this a negative 5

An update. I DID change my landline/internet/cable service to Cincinnati Bell! I've had it for a…read moreyear. And... it's pretty great. I changed from Time Warner/Spectrum/Charter. They didn't want to negotiate on pricing, kept throwing on crazy fees and the bill was just huge. So, against my better judgment and out of frustration, I called Cincinnati Bell. The lady I spoke to was really great. I played it col when she asked how much I was paying at Time Warner and how much I wanted to pay. But, ultimately, I got almost the exact same services and my bill was literally half the price of Spectrum. Locked in for a year. No contract. You pay a larger sum for three months so you don't have to pay the huge installation fee up front. I thought it was pretty smart. My service has been really consistent. The cable doesn't go out when the wind blows too hard. The internet is strong. I don't know the download speeds but it works to support like ten devices in my home. I've only had to call them for assistance two or three times. They were nice and helpful. The on demand for Cincinnati Bell tv is a little generic and difficult to navigate and there is really no useful app for a tablet... but it's not a bit deal. My first year is up and my price has increased as "promotions" expire. I figure with companies like Disney and FX building their own streaming services things with cable companies are going to be weird. It hasn't gone up much, though. And I'm not under a contract. So if I want to dump cable and move to Sling, I can whenever I want.

Worst ever and I feel like I've been robbed $6k the past 10 years of my life…read more Here is some insight chances are if you live in an apartment, condo or townhome you have as well been robbed. Most multi unit dwelling units can only get up to 50mbps though their Fioptics (they don't tell you this when you sign up). This is because most apartments don't let them install what needs to be installed to get more. So you are paying the same price for 50mbps as someone getting 600mpbs. It is shady and wrong. I put in my address and my friends who has an upgraded unit into her house for price comparison. This is highway robbery. Protect yourself and if you need internet get a different provider if you live in a multi unit dwelling unit. Or ask to see if they have the upgraded unit on the outside of your building for each unit. If not buyer beware.

They really seem to know what they're talking about, gave me an approximate time as to when I should be up and running, and gave me a direct # (that's right, direct) to call the same rep back if I was still having issues past the time they gave me. In addition, all should know that this is not the first time I've received exceptional customer service from Insight. In the last 10 years I've had them, every time I call, whether it's for an issue, or just to change something on my account, every single rep has been helpful and nice as can be. P.S. By the time I finished writing this review, my cable was back on.

Basic cable and high speed internet run about $70 per month, including taxes and fees. I must say that my high speed connection is really fast and my cable television has only gone out less than a handful of times over many years. Whenever I've need to call customer service for a problem, the person on the other line was usually very helpful and resolved my issue satisfactorily. Customer service for cable is open until late in the evening, while internet customer service is available 24 hours; I'm pretty sure both are based in the United States.
