if you can, go with someone else. over the last 3 years my bill has slowly gotten more and more expensive. all I have is 600 mbps and they are charging me $128 a month. when I started they charged me $74 a month 3.5 years ago. I recently moved and they charged me $100 moving fee when they didn't even have to come out and do anything. all I had to do was plug in a cable. the internet it self is extremely slow. I switched to At&t, got 1000 mbps for only $60 a month. when trying to cancel my service with spectrum I've dealt with 2 different people and both were extremely rude. read more

Senior citizen Spectrum Cable TV consumers beware... Six weeks ago, after a Spectrum Cable TV "service upgrade" and the resulting problems, we noticed how the new cable TV guide screen has smaller print than the original on screen guide. After several attempts to make the print larger, multiple cable TV technicians concluded the guide screen print size, and the unreadable MOD tiles size, could not be increased. One Spectrum technician even suggested, I "just sit closer" to the 60" LED television screen, as a solution. However, now six weeks later, I see Spectrum has added lines of advertisements interspersed within lines of cable TV guide information. The line height off these advertisements is between two and three times higher than the surrounding guide info lines. Also, the print size is equally larger than the print size of the cable TV guide information. So, to insure we can read the advertisements, Spectrum increases the print size of their inline advertisements. However, Spectrum cannot (or they will not) increase the print size containing information of use to its many senior citizen customers? How convenient! read more

We bought a condo last March and had our internet installed and paid 44.99$ per month and have had awful Internet service... we have had a tech or two come out and the pics will show you our internet speeds with speed test.com and spectrums own speed test. I WILL update this review EVERYDAY with the result of a speed test... the only reason I am even dealing with this now (we all put this stuff off.. right?) is that I'm sick of never being able to watch tv at certain times of day... homework can't always be done... just awful, terrible service and the fact that we changed credit cards and it made us realize we are paying 90$ per month for internet speed that doesn't go above 20 MBPS ... ever! If it does I will revise this number as I post our putrid speeds daily... oh and right now I'm on hold with them and so far I have only had to wait 30 minutes.... Who has this kind of time to waste??!!! So MAD! So they came out... and this morning.. here we go again.. internet out.. called at 4 am and they had reset everything but didn't finish the job after telling me he had. Called back and it took an hour to get it fixed and asked to be transferred to mgr and wasn't... I was transferred to regular tech support.. what took two hours could have been done in 10 minutes..... tomorrow they come out... better customer service would save them so much money.... read more

So recently had altafibre internet access installed in my neighborhood, they are offering 250mbs for $40 for 2 years, I call spectrum to ask about them matching the price (currently $75 for 30 mbs). After talking to 3 different people was told they wouldn't cut price or increase speed, derp, by spectrum have fun. read more

I would give them no stars if I could. DO NOT and I mean DO NOT get service with these peopele. Signed up for live tv streaming app and it has not worked but 1 day. My husband called and added me on so I could talk to them and I call to cancel and they still tell me that even though I'm an authorized user I still cannot cancel. He has to still call in. They have no ETA as to when the service will be fixed. They are overpriced and customer service is horrible. read more

I've been with TWC since they bought out their predecessor several years ago. I was ok with the occasional rate increases, and playing the games with their customer service for better rates and promotional deals. That ended when I made the fateful decision to downgrade from a bundle deal of internet and cable. I seldom used the cable ( literally 2x in one year), and lived on the internet. So I call and ask what to do to down grade and I'm told by the rep that I just need to take in my box and it will cut my bill in half ($103.00 ~ish/month) to roughly $50ish/month. So I do just that and the lady behind the counter received my box in good order and said my bill would be reduced to between $48-54/month and I'm current on my bill. No additional money due. A few days go by, and I start to receive robo calls saying I owe $175 and change. So I call and the gentlemen I talked too, including a supervisor, stated I was told wrong at the store and I was late and I was going to be paying $78/mo. I'm situation was resolved but not w/o me paying more than the previously quoted amounts. So I hope the new company is better at record keeping and customer service than time warner. I called spectrum to put my account on vacation hold. Because I was two days into the cycle they are charging me for the entire month at $161 instead of vacation hold of 35+ the two days to be prorated. Especially during the Covid virus you would think they would be more sensitive to their customers. This is ridiculous. Worst company ever. read more

I was recently ripped off by Spectrum. I called to cancel the MLB channels well before the deadline. In fact I called twice to be sure. I was assured everything would be taken care of. The channels were removed from my cable guide but when the bill arrived, the charges remained. I called to complain and after explaining my concerns the lady said they couldn't remove the first charge of $34.99 even though I had called before the deadline. She said the remaining $105.00 would be removed plus a credit for $10.00. When I checked on the app they only removed the $105.00. I then went to their location on Mall Rd. to try and get this resolved but was told they didn't do billing there and that I would have to call billing. I called billing and they would not change their decision. So I'm paying more for something I no longer have or wanted and the rates are going up in May. I think it's time to cut the cord and quit dealing with the thieves at Spectrum. read more

Half way thru 4th quarter of UC/UCLA game, down it goes no tv!!!!!!!!!!hour and half later on phone no resolution, just excuses! And of corse I missed last part of game! Spectrum has absolutely no customer service! It is such a shame that this company promotes warm fuzzy commercials but in reality has proven they are all about money!$$$$ There is such a complete lack of customer service in our society that most people accept lousy as the new normal. Spectrum took over our cable/internet service and immediately increased our bill. We have wasted too much time discussing this and made the decision to switch our cable services only to find out that Spectrum charged us for a months services we didn't receive. Three Spectrum employees spewed dates at my wife and refused to discuss our account beyond this, causing her such upset, she was in tears over the way the talked to and treated her. I'm mad that for over 24 hrs I've had no "Guide" which means I can't search programs and my pre-set up series records aren't working; especially since almost every month my rate goes up. I now pay over $190 a month for my service, which doesn't include premium channels or anything over the top. If you are going to insist on charging outrageous fees, at least provide outstanding, consistent service. read more
