They MISCONFIGURED my phone so my HOTSPOT DOES NOT WORK, DESPITE MULTIPLE CALLS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. RUDE, UNHELPFUL PERSONNEL!! Cannot get though Customer service lines to get useful help, and no one in their Cra--py store knows what's going on or gives a sjit anyway as long as they are getting paid. Switching to another carrier as soon as practical. Do not TRUST ANYTHING anyone at Verizon says, most representatations, especially on pricing and service, turned out to be FALSE - watch your wallet. read more

Normally I have great customer service at this store (10 years!) Today was an exception. The store is not clearly arranged, there are no tags telling you which phone model is which without waking up the phone and there are no prices or specs shown. When I asked questions, the associate told me I can look online. Why would I come to the store if I wanted to do that online? A better response would have been, "let's sit down and I'll look it up for you". What has happened to retail these days? read more

I received a new 5G Motorola Edge mobile device (I guess that is what they are now called), so I stopped by Verizon to have the data from my old G4 Samsung device transferred to my new one and to get the new one initiated. It turned to be no easy task, taking some three days because my new phone had somehow had an unnoticed 4G SIM card installed which doesn't work on a 5G network phone. I had three different people assist me and working with them was a pleasure as they were all helpful, professional and polite. Really 5-star people who found the problem, put in a 5G SIM and got everything working just fine. The Verizon facility looks new, has a good atmosphere about it and follows all of the COVID-19 rules. Being located between Ruth Chris and a waterway in the 2501 Plaza the drive to it can easily be missed, so be aware. Maybe because of COVID-19 there are no chairs generally available for customer seating. However, as I can stand for any length of time, they did kindly provide me with one. read more

I would like to rate this place higher but in good conscience, I cannot. The employees were nice enough and they got us out fairly quickly. But the attitude of the salesperson left much to be desired. We came here because a cellphone met a watery death. In all fairness to the phone, there was alcohol involved. That's as much as I am willing to divulge. After copious amounts of research on the new phone, we went to the store. The salesperson suggested the iPhone X (we were replacing a 7). The look on his face when we told him we wanted the 8 was highly unprofessional. This man should never play poker. He was even worse when we declined the case, the screen protector and the warranty. Are these guys on commission? We got exactly what we wanted but had the salesperson been more professional this review would have been a five star. As it is, three is the best I can give. read more

This was a terrible experience. Pity, since I've been a very long time, satisfied customer up until about 4 months ago. Verizon cellular service began to become unreliable, even in my own home which is in a very central part of Ft Lauderdale not far from their store. So after months of losing signal and getting no explanation, I switched yesterday to T-Mobile. That went smoothly but I didn't switch the line for my iPad, which I figured I'd just cancel as I use it at home exclusively. Verizon encourages virtually every interaction to be through Verizon.com, but when I went into their store to simply cancel this line, I was told that they couldn't help me there, that I couldn't do it online, I could ONLY do it via an 800 number. The manager, who was politely unhelpful in a passively aggressive way that could get him on an SNL skit, insisted that was it. I called and (took screenshots to prove it) waited over 2 hours to nothing but music. They've got no one manning that line. Just outrageous. I went to T-mobile, transferred the line to them, and will cancel there next week bypassing Verizon's contract of adhesion. read more

I don't like to spend my time writing reviews, but my god. Me and my siblings walked in and we were not greeted, let alone acknowledged for at least 10 minutes. After that, two of the representatives spent time working with one customer for about an hour. Good for that customer, I suppose. From being utterly annoyed, and without saying anything out of respect because they are busy, I go outside to smoke a cigarette after closing hours. The representative walked out right after tells me that if I go back in, I cannot go outside again I'll have to stay outside because it is closing hours. What? LOL. I was perplexed. I stared at him in disbelief. I've been waiting for an hour, the moment I go outside I get told this? Okay, sure. An elderly woman walked in and was not Acknowledged for sometime. I genuinely feel like switching companies just because of this experience. At least the woman, Tia, working here was sweet and patient. read more

Hard Case Acquired For My iPhone SITREP - YSB 15 Even though I'm looking at upgrading my iPhone 4s to a 6 in the next month or two, the current rubber case for my iPhone is falling apart at the seams and not giving any protection to the iPhone should is slip through the rubber case. THE SETUP I'm here at Yelp Spring Break (YSB) 2015 Ft. Lauderdale, and the last thing I need is a cracked, broken iPhone right when I need to take pictures and write tips & reviews. So I went on a hunt to find a new iPhone 4s case. It was not easy... A few electronics store has girlie iPhone 4s cases on clearance for under $10, but I was not desperate enough to be seen with a Power Puff Girl or Pretty Princess Pony case. Office Depot was just OUT of them altogether. The AT&T Store was out as well. The 4s is an older smaller model, so not the prime product to be selling with the 5 and the 6 models out there now. VERIZON However, on my way back to the hotel, I just happened to see the Verizon store and figured, "Well, why not." I mean, they're not my telecom (AT&T is), but they sell iPhone toos, so let's check it out. *BINGO* The gentleman at the counter had one more regular hard case (in the back - it wasn't even a product they put on the floor anymore), and for $32 (pretty pricey, but what can you do), it was all I needed. Rick was extremely knowledgeable and was able to set my family up with better service at a better price. When we got home one of the phones had an issue with set up. Called customer service and they helped us reconfigured it over the phone. I would highly recommend them. read more

After so many years with Verizon, I have my first disappointment. I came to the store Sunday November 29th, because I was having problems with the battery of my iPhone 11. The vendor offered to me the new iPhone 12 Pro Max, and said the item would be delivered at my place in 2 business day. For my bad surprise, now says on the system that it will be SHIPPED around December 18th. So now I will be looking for another provider, since I can't trust on Verizon and their employees anymore. If you want to sell something, be reasonable, honest and professional. Don't try to push to me something and you lie on the date just to reach your goal. Also now I have to wait for 48 hours until they reimburse what I paid for the accessories and the fee of the transaction. What a huge disappointment. read more

Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to rate Verizon as a whole corporation so I'm writing this to cover the horrible overall experience we had just trying to upgrade my iPhone 6 to a X XR . We are spending the winter in Pompano Beach FL, but live mostly in Rochester, NY. We tried to avoid going into a store first Because of our past experiences having to wait in line for up to 2 hrs to get waited on. So My husband spent over an hour online on 2/11 with "my Verizon chat" trying to order the phone online. The phone was supposed to be delivered yesterday. When my husband tracked the order it was in processing mode and never showed that it shipped, so 2/12 pm he spent 1 1/2 hrs on the phone with total incompetents who supposedly looked at the order to try and help us get the phone. Our order was "flagged" simply because it was being shipped to FL vs. NY. It went to the fraud department and never got processed. It sat there. My husband was supposed to get a call back that night to resolve the issue and never heard back. Yesterday 2/13 he called customer. Svc. And finally talked to someone in customer svc who knew what she was doing. Virginia Allen. This call took almost an hour but She cancelled the original order and reordered the phone. but we had to go pick it up at the store in Ft. Lauderdale. Much To our chagrin when we got to the store the order was still processing! The only positive was that we didn't have to wait in line when we got to the store! But we spent another 50 minutes just trying to get the order processed so we could walk out with the phone. It's much much much too hard to be a Verizon customer. We were on the verge of just giving up and going to another carrier but at the last minute the person in customer svc. That my husband spoke to while we were in the store was able to complete the order. Between all the calls and the drive to and from the store that was over 6 hours to simply upgrade my phone and we still had to pay over $700 for the phone! Now that's just crazy. read more

We did not have an appointment, but were lucky that the store was not busy when we arrived. Ricardo (Rick) greeted us at the door, was very professional and friendly, and was able to start working with us immediately. I came to the store to first double check on the price to add another person/line to my account (I had the 55+ plan). Rick was very knowledgeable regarding how to add another person/line to my 5G Start plan and answered all of our questions regarding the cost to do that, and if we needed to upgrade to an Unlimited Plan. Rick was also able to quickly check to make sure that my partner's phone was not locked by ATT (so the phone could be transferred immediately) and then how to get the transfer pin to release the phone from ATT and then activate the phone with Verizon. We also asked a lot of questions regarding if I should upgrade my older existing Samsung 5G phone or if my partner should upgrade his Apple I 12. Rick let me finish asking every question, and then answered all of them. We also asked, and Rick helped with other questions regarding specific app's; Rick also helped us merging different Gmail account contacts lists into the current account. Rick also answered questions regarding costs of phone service while traveling overseas and then set-up the plan that was best for me. Excellent job Ricardo (Rick)! Many thanks!!! read more

As a Verizon employee it's very disappointing to visit a corporate location and have additional features added to my account without my approval. Miguel processed my order and added a protection package that I did not ask for. I made it very clear that I only wanted to order the phone and change my plan for the promotion. Nothing else. There was no reason for him to increase my insurance package. You'd think integrity mattered. Especially amongst your fellow colleagues. read more

I had to do a quick review about this location. I have now come here twice for assistance and both times the service has been great. The staff are knowledgeable about the products and services. For example, the reason I came back to this store because at another Verizon store they told me I couldn't have my iPhone serviced because it was 3 months past the manufactures warranty. However, This location solved my dilemma by informing me that I have an extended warranty because my phone number is from Philadelphia and I have assurion insurance. They saved me $200 because I didn't have to pay the deductible! If you are a Verizon customer, this is the store to come to. I drove from Coral Springs for this service and I would do it again. Alexander was pleasant and helpful. I do need to add that the wait time was 45 minutes, which is quite a while if you have things to do. So be prepared to wait but at least you know that you are getting good service. read more

Asurion didn't cover anything so I was without a phone and my computer was disabled I had to eventually buy a brand new phone that does not work. I have never had the same associate help me, but they have always been chipper, cheerful, and helpful in every manner. Maybe that is why I have upgraded several of my phones here. 3 1/2 stars due to inconsistency We have always been 100% loyal to Verizon due to superior coverage. We always get phone reception in the most obscure locations when no one else can. Most employees at this particular Verizon location had always been helpful & excellent. However, when my hubby was about to buy a new phone in early January 2015, I called this store in advance to ask whether they currently had in stock the exact phone he wanted. I was told that "employees are not able to reveal any information about inventory to callers, only to customers who visit in person." He actually suggested that I buy the phone at the Apple store instead!!! Wish I knew the name of the guy who said that to me...very disappointed by such an unprofessional & dismissive attitude from a Verizon employee. Needless to say, we were not eager to go to the store after that negative experience, so we ordered the phone through Verizon's toll-free number instead. A few days later, we went to this Verizon branch to activate the new phone that had arrived at our home. Uncle went in and wanted an upgrade to iPhone 12 and not show other models so he assumed there was one model for the 12 and bought it. Came home same day and I asked why he did not get the 12 pro max he said he didn't know there was they only showed him one iPhone, when we went back to exchange the rude and unprofessional staff came up saying that is a big jump in price are you sure and recommending the 12 when we asked for the 12 pro max repeatedly. Not only did he take the time to answer all our questions, he placed us in a better plan saving us money! We purchased 3 phones from him also, and he was very knowledgeable about the phones and all the features and functions. Several in store attempts to have issues resolved by sales rep (Michelle Matos) and management team was wasted time, only resulting in additional charges for unnecessary lines and equipment. HORRIBLE! Don't switch... Misleading and unethical. Decided to switch carriers with the understanding that we would be getting a credit back in the form of a VISA card to assist in paying off the last bill from previous carrier. I even asked several times during the visit to make sure that's what the promo was. Each time I was told yes, so we went forward with the switch. Went through the process of trading in our old phones and completing the switch. A month goes by I'm still under the impression that I'm getting the VISA credit. Up until 2 weeks ago... Because this is how long I've been having to deal when this! Numerous calls to customer service, several visits to the store. We had no clue why all of a sudden we weren't eligible for the full credit anymore and why we weren't informed. My husband found out that Kaylin, the employee who "helped" us... More like mislead us tried to enter different promos at the same time and made the credit null and void. NOT OUR PROBLEM or FAULT!!! But we are the ones having to literally pay for it!!!It has become a he said/she said situation. Of course the employee is not going to admit any error on her part. It is so much easier to say that the customer misunderstood. Currently as it stands, we basically paid Verizon Wireless for us to switch for their service. I want to know who in their right mind would throw away that kind of money. We do not have horrible credit nor were desperate to switch providers. But because of an error that an employee made, now we have to suffer and be at a huge loss. The promos online, all emails & documents I've received all state getting credit in the form of a VISA card. Even the store manager, Astyn, stated and was under the impression that we would be receiving the full credit back because of the promo. But guess what.... No credit! Now I'm at a loss of over $1100!!! The company is not trying to rectify the situation. I do not recommend this store or this provider. I will definitely be leaving ASAP. read more

All I wanted to do was come in and buy a car charger for my iPhone. I walk in and an employee asks me to check in. Then he says people are ahead of me. So I look everywhere for a charger and learn they keep them locked up behind the register. Why? Next, a second employee asks me to check in at a kiosk and provide a PIN number. Huh? I just want to buy a car charger. When they finally bring me one, he needs my debit card and my drivers license. Again, why? This place needs to get it together. read more

Went in first experience ever with a verizon, for starts no parking, then there was 6 employees and 7 customers, I make 8, all I wanted to do was exchange a Xmas gift mophie case) for a different color... 45 min wait!!!!?!??!!? And she said it and looked right at me knowing my face was going to drop and be annoyed. Them I was like well let me at least look to see if you even have the right color. I came back to her and was like week it's taken me like 3 weeks to get here since Xmas to get here... Put me in the list, she goes we don't accept exchanges after 2 weeks...
