While Verizon isn't exactly great, it's far better than AT&T! When I got my first cell phone eons (40+) years ago, I signed up with AT&T. I had several issues so I visited one of their stores and was treated so badly that I swore I would never do business with them again and switched to Verizon that same day. Recently, one of my friends needed to visit his AT&T store and, out of curiosity, I joined him inside. Their customer service and attitude has digressed to an even worse level and I walked out while they treated him like dirt. Looked online because I need a new phone, I still had a few questions. I tried calling, I was left on hold for over 5 minutes so I made an appointment, found a babysitter and made sure I had a mask. I get there and was told I couldn't go inside and needed to go online. I explained I just needed to see the size of a phone I was interested in and she said it's the same as what you have now. After that she just kept repeating "you have to go online" when I walked away she yelled "thank you" in a very disrespectful and condescending manner. The staff that works here are professional, funny, and personable. They are very savvy when it comes to picking out a phone for you as well as troubleshooting problems with your phone. I like Verizon so I will stick with them. I have gotten a lot of perks for being a loyal customer and they also give military discounts as well as a discount if you, like me, work in the medical field. There are a lot of accessories for your phone available as well as their interesting new technology they have available. Great store! I'm starting to dread coming to this location, several reasons: This area is so congested due to the Baybrook Mall expansion and a overload of traffic galore, it makes driving dangerous, stressful, and annoying. Secondly, the parking issue is limited, there's a whole row of handicapped parking and barely a few regular and since they share a lot with the next business. All the staff that has helped me lately since my favourite member, Elandonn doesn't work here anymore has been uncaring, rude, not friendly, and definitely not personable. I went in today and got Tangen, one of the staff members and he was a super pushy, rude, and didn't seem to want to help me. Every time I was trying to talk to him about my plan and mobile phone, he would over talk me and make sly remarks about my phone situation. For instance, I was telling him that I needed a new phone since my basic phone is dying (not a dead battery issue) on me, the speaker is going out and since I had already renewed my monthly plan, he was explaining to me that I would have to repay again if I get a new phone, and I said well, I need a new phone now, and he said well, you don't need it that bad enough you can wait until next month. I'm thinking, how in the living bulljive do he know what I need and what not?! He has no place to think that. Simply, no personable people working here. I hated how pushy he was being with me and even I was trying to discuss a new phone with him, he couldn't exactly explain to me what a Quad processor was, how good is MB compared to GB, and where was all the information regarding about the Moto E smartphone. It seemed as if he was just pulling out answers from his butt. Even when I was trying to think of what questions to ask him, he was rushing my thoughts. I didn't feel comfortable at all. He definitely kept looking at his iPad or tablet that Verizon gives them to work with. Also, staff member, Cheryl was super dumbfounded and acted as if she didn't know what the heck I was asking or talking about, I'm not sure if she knew she was even on planet Earth. Every word was uh, uhh, umm, huh, and them silly don't know what to say words. Absolutely no help at all! However, another staff member, Susan was on point, very nice and got what I needed. Where's the customer service, Verizon???!! I'm paying yall for a good network and receive this below minimum service from these untrained staff members! All of their locations are sales only they refuse to answer or help with any service issues in fact they seem annoyed.If you do show interest in a new phone they will always try and upsell you.I brought in an iPhone watch I bought I had all the information I needed to pair with my my new iphone they were impatient and said I just needed a new watch I went home I and figured it out on my own. I was a loyal customer for over 10 years now I have changed to Xfinity cut my bill in half since I have Xfinity internet. I signed in with the manager, some short blonde guy and he supposedly put me on the waiting list. I waited an hour but I had a feeling some customers were coming in and he told his associates to help them first. Well I paid attention to this last 2 customers who came in and got helped and I said ok I'm done here. I got up to leave and I tell him "thanks for nothing, you decided to help people who just walked in and I've been here for an hour". He tried to make some excuse about "oh they are just here for "something something it's quick" ". That manager is a blabbering idiot, Im trying to give you my money and you keep pushing me further down the line. I'll never recommend this location, the associate could have spoken up too, as he knew we were there waiting. He saw us as we walked in and we also knew the people he was helping so I'm POSITIVE he knew we were there. Thanks for wasting my time, I know it's not worth a whole lot to you. I can't get that time I wasted back but I can spend any future time with hopefully someone who isn't an awful manager running a shit show of a store. I wish I could have been as much of an asshole to you as you were to me. You corporate morons think we are all ants and lucky you Verizon is a huge company who can get away with it because there is a whopping 3 big phone companies. You guys also deserve another 1 star review due to having awful displays and not even carrying higher end tablets and other devices. It is not a small store, and they could use some serious help with the flow and design of the store. If your store manager doesn't have a six sigma green belt or higher he/she should. I went in to the store and needed to switch from AT&T. I was worried about how difficult and/or expensive the process would be but my sales rep Chris Ashby made the entire process painless and explained everything. He also was able to get us a promotional price which saved us a lot of money on the monthly part. He couldn't discount the phones but at least he was able to save us monthly which mattered most to us. The store was kind of loud with all the music speakers playing different songs at the same time, but apart from that, it was awesome! Ask for chris, he was great! read more

Upon walking into this store I would've judged the book by it's cover and gave it a 5 star, but after my 3rd visit and still no issue resolved, I wish I could give it 0/5 star rating, but Yelp makes a leave some of star rating. This could be the worst service I have yet to receive a business. I am disappointed I have been in contact with corporate, management and speaking to my sales rep (DeMaje) about the same issue since Jan. 22nd. Today, makes nearly 24 hours that I have been without service. I was switching from Sprint to Verizon because I thought I may get better service which it's only a 1% difference after I have done intensive research.. Which isn't worth the stress I have endured. Fast forward, as of now, I have no working phone to speak with anyone which is not a good way to have my business. I have been without service since 7PM last night. I went by this Bay Brook store for the 3rd time since Jan. 22/23rd* and again this same issue isn't resolved. I have never spent so much time with a business on a problem that has still yet to be resolved. I will be losing contracts/money and opportunities due to not having a phone on a network. I plan to terminate all business and relationships with Verizon. I was hesitant about switching and now my experience and loss of service has confirmed that I should have never made the switch over. I am so stressed and disappointed. I won't recommend this store to any business or person switching from one provider to here unless you have the time to be without your phone working for an extended period of time. I spoke to Verizon customer service twice on the phone yesterday before my service went out and they were extremely helpful, but helpful and getting this issue solved for me to have a working phone on a network are not the same. In over 10 years of serving the community, I have never been in this type of limbo situation. I should've stayed loyal to my service provider and worked out any differences I had instead of making the jump to switch to Verizon with the assistance of this store. I believe they are only in business because of their location and it attracts shoppers to the mall and off the busy highway of 45-South. They can be busy at moments which can result in the store associates dropping the ball of exceptional and above & beyond service. In brief, I wouldn't wish this stress and time consuming switch over to anyone. Just stay with your current provider and work out any issue you have. The grass isn't greener on the Verizon side. Don't fall in the trap of the amazing advertising and marketing they do to get your business. Do your own intensive research. It's not worth it and I surely don't see where switching to Verizon will add value to my business now or in the future. Tried to call to resolve a minor issue but was on hold over hour a few times, so I went to the Clear Lake Verizon only to be told I had to make an appt, so made appt that was 5 days later, and went in to meet a rep named Q or so she says, this was the rudest person I have met in ages, I had explained that I was due a credit for a phone returned and had the proof of receipt that Verizon received it, she could not help had to call customer service, they were chatting with mask on I answered what I thought was a question she was asking me and she told me to hush up. Stared at her phone for a very long time then a customer came in during my appt and she spent 25 min with him, came back and said they gonna send you the credit, I asked if she emailed me that info or have any proof that I could leave with and she NO. Hope I dont have to repeat this visit. CLOSE THIS LOCATION they hate people and you have years of yelp complaints, start listening. I moved all my lines to TMOBILE entirely differently experience. read more

Verizon is a good company but this store and their assistant manager "Doug" is complete crap. They sold my mother an iPhone 10xs. When she brought it home she couldn't figure out why it wasn't making calls, as they had set up the phone in the store. At least that's what she was told. She asked for my help and low and behold, the phone wasn't activated and I had to help her set that up. Then she was having trouble with her headphone as she couldn't figure out how to plug them in to her phone. She again asked for my help. The headphones that came with her phone were the standard jack plug in. I found that odd as she should've gotten the lightening plug in or atleast an adapter. I then come to find out her phone box was not even shrink wrapped when she received it. Of course red flags went up everywhere. My mother went to this store herself and they told her that the headphones come like that and she would need to buy an adapter separately. When I heard this I was pretty pissed as they seem to be trying to screw over my mother. So I went to the store with her. Doug the assistant manager came out and was rude right off the bat. He didn't want to help my mother get the headphones that were supposed to come with her phone. He also claimed that the phone was set up outside the store (which is only because their staff didn't set up her phone properly). He then tried to claim that my mother would have to contact Apple directly, when the mishap happened inside their store, not apple. After calling him out on that false information, he then tried to change it that we would have to contact Verizon support. We said that's fine and asked to get support on the phone. He ignored us and sat on his computer typing away. So while still in the store we had to figure out Verizon's support number ourselves and contact them. Verizon support was completely helpful in solving this issue almost immediately, even though Doug tried to prevent the solution with customer support. This store tried to rob my mother of her headphones after she dropped over $1,500 for a phone + cases and screen protector. Do not trust this store and do not trust Doug. read more

Exceptional staff, from management down to the kid who greets you at the door! Even the police officers they have working in there are friendly! As an older person of color, I've never felt, seen or heard anything but the highest respect towards customers. It's a young staff too, but refreshing in this day and age is the mix of races and genders, unlike some retailers which load up on a specific race or gender in an effort to "capture the customer base's loyalty." The type of area this place is in means a lot of folks come in demanding a high level of care that they may or may not actually deserve (I heard a gentleman berate this poor girl at the door one day because the wait during a very busy time was about 20 minutes), but even so the staff does everything they can to give it. I won't fault a place for having a wait if they are busy, which this location is frequently. A busy store in my experience means a quality store where the services of the people inside (and not just the goods, which can be ordered online easily) are in high demand. There are quicker locations in the area, I'm sure, but I won't be visiting them. It's worth the drive, and worth the wait when there is one! read more

Business customer for 3 months and they would not help me at all in trying to get me a phone. Phone froze after an update was pushed to my phone and they said a new one will have to be shipped to me and wouldn't get there until Tuesday or Wednesday! (it was Friday). I NEED a phone for my business and suggested many ways how I could walk out of the store with a phone. They have NO loaners and they REFUSED TO SELL ME A PHONE! I couldn't believe that. They said they couldn't because they "knew" I was going to return it later and they would eat the cost. Also suggested me purchasing a pre-paid phone to use and they said it wouldn't work. Did that kind of thing many times with T-Mobile and AT&T and it worked fine. Called Verizon customer support and they said it WOULD work just fine! So the store lied. I told them to just help me out by selling me a phone and finally (after about an hour or arguing) they agreed to sell me an overpriced $200 cheap-o lowest model flip phone (better ones are $40 at Target!) and then told me that there's a $35 restocking fee! I said forget it and went to Best Buy and spent $50 more ($250) for an Android smart phone, which I then easily synced all my contacts and apps vital to my business to. No trouble and no restocking fee. I moved from T-Mobile to "Big Red" thinking the service and coverage would be better, but I was sadly mistaken. My phone broke once while I was with T-Mobile and they immediately offered a loaner phone for a $50 deposit which I would get back after returning it. Also, texts every now and then have to be re-sent from my Droid X because coverage drops. So many things were just wrong about how they take care of customers. It seems their only concern was eating the cost of not being able to sell a $20 phone "as new". (They say the "manufacturer" sets the price at $200, but c'mon...I'm in business and it's just that price so they can sell a contract. The manager even said so himself but wouldn't admit the the phone is worth nowhere near $200). It seems they are trained to take care of only themselves and don't care about you once they know you are locked into a contract. Verizon phone support was the only positive experience with Verizon that day. I was going to get several more devices and data packages from V, but never again. I will use T-Mobile for my data needs and employees and just wait until my contract dies so I can go back. Sprint is almost as bad btw. So no....I CAN'T hear you now, and I don't ever want to. read more

Worst service I've ever had!!!! We had a phone of our that would no longer charge so my husband and I went in for help. We were helped by a woman named Shelly from the get go she snapped us. Every question we asked she snap/yelled a response at us and when my husband went to speak she refused to let him by shouting over every word he said. I came in and Cheryl helped me. I had shattered my iPhone over thanksgiving. I run a Christmas light installation business and deal with 100 customers in 2 month period. It's crazy, if I'm without my phone for one day I'll never get caught up returning calls and text messages. Cheryl is AMAZING her calming spirit and knowledge of the products totally made me feel at ease. She saved me major money every chance she got showing me how to finance things or Black Friday bundles or this and that. I got a free tablet from verizon and got a brand new iPhone 6 for 0 money down. I financed it for 18 months at 0% and only have to pay 10 dollars a month. She totally saved my a$$ and I got the newest baddest phone out! Total win. I will never do business with anyone else as long as she is working for verizon she is the bomb! DONT GO HERE!!!!! They promised me a new phone. Sent me a broken one. And then told me it was an apple issue. I went to apple waited 3 hrs only to be told Verizon had broken it when they refurbished it. So I went back to Verizon a bit flustered. I never yelled I was of course agitated for obvious reasons. You could hear it in my voice. So I was talking to the employee and telling her the story so I could get it fixed. Then the manager came over started talking to me like I was 2. And saying she wasn't going to serve me and I needed to leave. I asked her if she was serious she told me yes bc I was yelling, which I wasn't I made a big point not to yell. And I told her so. Then bc I contracted her she told me to be exact " ok we are done here you can leave" I asked her if I could just work with the employee bc she was nicer and she didn't talk to me like I was 2. And she got up in my face and belittled me till I was in tears only then did they service me. I'll also add I work in the medical field and need a phone or I would be fired.
