We're shopping to leave Verizon ASAP. Why? First, we hate the compulsory screen saver imposed "Are you still here?" and now more of these. Absolutely unacceptable. Deal breaker. Goodbye! I had a very positive visit at this Verizon location. The young man that assisted me during my initial visit, Demetric, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He walked me through the best values m, what I should be looking for and the best bang for my buck. With the purchase of a new phone I couldn't get something from my old phone. He offered for me to call him once I got home to receive further assistance. I did just that and he walked me through everything I needed to do. I had to come back a few days after to assist my father with his phone. Another very helpful employee assisted us. He wanted to make sure my father was receiving the best deal possible. He even called into the calling center to ask about promotions or specials not viewed on his computer. We left out with brand new phones and without a bunch of hassle. SN: Verizon, stop playing in your customers faces! You can't really turn in ANY phone and get a brand new iPhone 16. It's several layers to that promotion, but whatever. read more

My husband and I went into the store today so he could replace his phone. We had the pleasure of being helped by Katherine. She was friendly and personable, but also very knowledgeable. She helped my husband choose a new phone and even went above and beyond and assisted me with another issue I had with our account. Getting a new phone can sometimes be a long and stressful process, but Katherine made it very seamless and enjoyable. She thoroughly explains everything we would see on our next bill and make sure we were getting the best deal possible. If you need to buy a new phone or do anything else, I highly recommend going to this location and hopefully you'll be lucky enough to have her help you as well. read more

Very friendly customer service when we got our verizon wifi. However when we went to set up our wifi at home we realized we only had a router and no modem. I called and asked how we would obtain a modem the customer service representative said "Isn't a modem and a router the same thing?". I asked, since we paid for the wifi package, if they were shipping us a modem or if we needed to reach out and figure out how to get one, the representative had no answer and no idea how to look that up, told us to call fios directly. Nasty customer service experience. I went to return 1 router and 5 set top boxes and 5 remotes, my hands were full. None of the gentleman offered to help me with the extremely heavy door which was the first issue. Upon entry no one greeted me, when the gentleman with dreads finally approached me he made me feel like I was an inconvenience. I called Verizon and was given a price to upgrade my phone. It was an 800 trade in on a iPhone 14 that was 800. I decided to go to the store so I wouldn't have to wait for the phone to be shipped. What a surprise. The best trade in they would give was 400. Be warned. You are better off dealing directly with Verizon. When I left, while in the parking lot, I called and ordered my upgraded phone with a 800 trade in on my old phone. It arrived today. (2 days later). Never again will I visit this store. So I thought this location was an official Verizon store...but it's a Verizon retailer. Considering all things, my experience here was pretty good. We ended up coming here on a whim because the specific phone we desired was not available (out of stock) at my dad's preferred Verizon store. After a brief yelp search, I called this location to find out if the phone was in stock, which it was, and the rest was history. Full disclosure, the store was nearly empty when we walked in, and there were about 5 customer service agents that were completely unoccupied. Long story-short, Kadeem was awesome...and extremely patient and calm with me and my family. He educated us on the new phones, transferred our phone content to the new phones, and made great recommendations about accessories and other services within the phone. He had my mom become quite savvy on her new phone, and my mom isn't really tech-friendly. One of the drawbacks from this visit is that WiFi within the store is painfully slow..also, there isn't much of a phone case selection compared to an official Verizon store. I really think this place is really trying to turn around on their customer service...so hopefully my experience here is a true example of that; otherwise, we just got extremely lucky with Kadeem, who really gets the 5 stars here! read more

Everytime I have gone in there, I have been taken care of. The only issue is with "Verizon", pushing trading in phones or upgrades. If my phone is defective and the battery is swelling, and the back is separating, I should get a new phone for free! another. That is a manufacturing defect. $700 bill for no reason. I have been to the gambrills,md location3 times and each time I get misinformation. First time was told they couldn't help and was given the wrong phone # to call. Second time was sold a phone I didn't want and was told they were out of the phone I wanted. Later I found out they were getting kickbacks for selling the less popular phone. Third time I was sent to the gambrills store when I called customer service. The person at the store again said they could not help. When I asked to speak to the manager the person called out to him and the manager looked at me and took off to the back of the store out of sight. I was the only customer in the store at the time. I feel sorry for verizon that they have such ininformed employees both on the phone and in their gambrills store.I have been a customer of verizon both at home and in my business but their competitor is looking very appealing to me at this time read more

DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT purchase from Cellular Sales. This retailer sales defective products and will refuse to refund you. I was sold two defective LifeProof cases. The first case broke the same day it was purchased. The second case does not align with the phone, so you are unable to use the side buttons or use the phone without headphones. The store refused to refund! And since the store is an authorized retailer not a REAL Verizon store Verizon will not help. Check better business bureau to read their complaints! read more

I asked about using a $20 VerizonUp credit on the purchase of a $730 phone. Our salesperson advised us that that the VerizonUp credit could only be used for movie purchases through Verizon Cable. After going home and verifying on the Verizon web site that the VerizonUp credit could be used for any in-store purchase, I went back to the Verizon store (on the evening of Thursday, December 21st) and asked again about the $20 credit. The question was referred to the store manager and rather than coming to talk with me, the manager told the sales person to tell us that they were a Verizon retailer and not a Verizon store so they could not provide the credit. I called the Verizon customer service number and they applied the credit and said that the store should have given us the credit. It is absolutely ridiculous that this store now has an upset 20 year customer with 4 cell phones on their account over a 2.7% credit, and a customer who will look elsewhere for future cell phone purchases. read more

Watch out for Bait and Switch!! Two days ago, I decided to more up from my iPhone 5, and get a brand new iPhone 11, which was released yoday. I spoke with a customer representative there, and we agreed upon a base price of $710, with insurance and set up to be added. I received a call at noon today, was told that my phone had arrived. I went immediately to the store on Brandermill Blvd, expecting to find everything in order. iIt was not. It seemed that the customer rep was unaware of my preorder and was not even sure the phone had arrived. Well it had, and I was ready to get it set up and pay for it. A little problem: the base price was now $100 higher, $810, because I was not buying it with monthly installments. I told him that we had agreed apon $710 and that was what I would pay. Horrible service I went in with my wife to trade in my iPhone which worked perfectly fine no cracks and one scratch they told me I couldn't trade it in for the new iPhone because of one scratch that wasn't even and inch long. My experience yesterday with the sales rep, Charlie was an absolute nightmare. I came into the store prepared to take my line off of my parents account and transfer it to my own. I know that my credit is compromised, so I came ready and willing to provide down payment for the phone I wanted (Pro Max). However, Charlie specifically told me all I was paying today was $88 for the screen protector and Otter Box for the phone. I was more than happy to pay that, so I did. A couple of hours later (3.5 to be exact) after transferring my phone number to the new account, setting up my new iPhone with my iCloud account and linking all of my bank info to the phone, he then informs me he needs the phone back, we have to start the process all over again, because after doing the credit check, it was discovered I had only been approved for $900 and the phone is $1260. So he takes the first Pro Max back and starts everything all over again and informs me i will be paying $400 instead of $88 which he initially had told me. I spent a lot of time in Verizon yesterday and had Emmy experience was awful. I was mislead, manipulated and lied to. I would really be so thankful if I was compensated/accommodated for all of the time and money I ended up spending yesterday with Verizon Wireless. read more

Tricia Wilson helped me get my account together, activate my iPhone, and explained everything that I needed to know. Made me feel like family. Walked out in 5 minutes. The sales rep that I dealt with could not have been less happy to have me as a customer. As he was listing the prices and charges that it would cost, I asked him to explain each one. I like to know what I'm paying for. He was clearly not happy that I asked for a price breakdown. He tried pushing their $10 per month "warranty" and I told him that was not necessary because of the 1yr manufacturer warrenty. The sales rep would not take no for an answer. We ordered a phone to replace a phone broken that was completely dead last Thursday. They did not have it in stock and it had to be ordered. We were told that it would be in Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon around 2pm we went it and were informed that the phone had not arrived. After checking the tracking it was not pick up by Fed Ex until Friday evening and scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. The whole time on Saturday, we didn't get so much as a sorry for the inconvenience. So today I called to see if the phone had arrived and was informed it did. The woman that we dealt with on Saturday told me that she called the phone number for that was associated with the new phone and it went straight to voicemail. I responded with "you called the dead phone that we are replacing to tell us that the new phone was in". I informed her I wanted to speak with someone else because this whole experience has been ridiculous. She responded with "all I can tell you is that there was no notes in the computer to call an another number". Seriously! They did ask us Thursday night and we told them to call my husband number. We have 4 lines on this account and my husband's is the main phone. Through all this, we have never received so much as I am sorry! They were rude and acted like we had no right to be irritate at the situation. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! read more

Part II: Horrific Experience continued from All B below - Once AGAIN, I am shaking my head saying "I believe as the business owner I am ACUTELY aware of how much data we use per month, and that is totally irrelevant to this purchase. No Thank You; I am NOT interested in anything whatsoever related to my data plan here, I only want to buy this phone at full retail, and that's all I have asked for - if that's something you cannot do then I will either visit another store or purchase the phone myself online". Now, get ready for this one: the "manager" then tells me "you cannot buy the phone online"... WHAT?!! I reply, "Ah, no, sir, you most certainly CAN buy the phone online!" manager: "Well, if you do you can't activate it because you don't have the account information for it"... I have NO CLUE what that is supposed to mean, since I will clearly be at home/in the office ordering it and would certainly then have access to all my account information, so now I'm having to be a little more forceful: "NO. Please just tell me whether you have the Droid Turbo in stock, so that I can purchase this phone at full retail. That is ALL that is going on here." The "manager": "ok well yeah, yeah if that's what you wanna do, we can sell you the phone." Ok GREAT, because that's all that I've been asking for, over and over and over again in this store! The "manager" and rep disappear into the backroom for a few, and the rep returns with the Turbo and we sit back down at her desk in the front of the store to make the purchase. The rep does apologize that "they were new and didn't know how to access my account, or sell phones without a plan" etc. I very politely told the rep it was no problem, that it was fine I certainly understood their being new, it was just this incessant badgering about my data plan and other nonsensical comments that all had nothing to do with what was finally, seemingly about to occur: my purchase of the phone at full retail. The rep paused for a minute, then said "ok, I'm going to need to create a new customer account for you"... Again, no clue why this is necessary, but I asked why we would be creating an entirely new customer account when I already have a business account - just tether whatever information about this purchase onto my already existing business account (you know, the one they could not find either with my phone #, my name, the name of my business, nothing...) and then (while burying my head in my heads at the utter madness of this whole experience) I turned to my colleague in the store and said, "I think I will just have to buy the phone online". At this point, the "bull in the china shop" "manager" came running over from the back of the store (his "desk" sat in the far back corner of the store) and aggressively leaned into our countenance saying "yeah, why don't you just go buy this phone online then"... UN-BE-LIEVABLE. Halfway fearing that he might actually throw punches at us, we immediately got up out of our chairs and attempted to make a quick exit from what was starting to feel like a full contact wrestling ring, indicating to the "manager" that "yes, I believe I've already made the decision to buy the phone online, or from another store that is willing to listen to a customer request". From here, and I don't know if perhaps this bully had too many steroid shots and red bulls before he came in to work, but he started YELLING at us from the back of the store! From the far back recess of this "manager's" store, he is literally yelling at us while we are exiting the front door, in front of all other customers that they have in the store... completely unconscionable behaviour. Want a cap to all of this? As we were having a business dinner in Annapolis in an hour, we drove down and I entered a Verizon location there, asked to purchase at full retail a Droid Turbo without any changes to my business wireless plan and, within 16 minutes (yes, I timed it) I had a new business phone and even had it activated (no problems accessing my account, either with just my name and phone #!). Outside of finally having the phone, the best part is that we were not harassed, harangued or inexplicably yelled at across the store at the Annapolis location! Not only is the Gambrills/Waugh Chapel location totally incompetent (there is clearly no training taking place for new hires), they are a direct and outright embarrassment to Verizon. As a business owner and business customer, I can only imagine how this location bullies, badgers, harasses and taunts "regular joe" customers - it was unequivocally the worst experience I have ever had in my life at a retail store, and I do not plan to let this rest with only a post on Yelp: someone is going to account for this rogue manager and his belligerent behaviour. Before he physically assaults someone, this Verizon location needs to purge itself of strong-arm tactics by employees with clear anger management issues. Unfortunately 0 stars aren't an option as I have had the most difficult and worst experience with this store. Store representatives at this location provided information that is inaccurate and/or representatives not upholding information previously stated and as the customer unfortunately I have to pay. I would never go to this store again or even want to do business with Verizon as this has been a poor representation of customer service (moreso the lack thereof). I purchased a jetpack and returned within the 14day period. At the time of purchase I was promised refunds of the restocking fee and activation fee in the event I needed to return. The rep provided their cell and said call if there were any questions or issues. I contacted them as advised when I needed to make the return with no response after, then proceeded to go into the store. The gentleman who helped (Demarco) was pleasant and proceeded to help me (probably the only good experience in this nightmare) and worked to provide my refunds. Fast forward to 2/29 - I call as I see charges on my bill that had not been refunded (activation). I call the store and am told there's nothing that can be done as those fees are only refunded within 2 days, so either I should contact the initial rep who sold the item or a customer support ticket could be created but I have to wait 48 hours. Not once had either representative prior to then indicate that was a stipulation. I have been misinformed on numerous occasions and held liable for something that was promised would be refunded in the event of return. read more

Part I: An Unbelievable Experience - Customers BEWARE!!! If you enjoy being verbally assaulted, this might be the place to be on any given night. As has already been noted about this Verizon location, the Customer Service here is not only appalling, it is downright shocking. Yesterday evening, I walked into this location and indicated to the young service rep that I was only here to purchase (at the full, off-contract price) a Droid Turbo for my business, and did not have any need for plan changes etc. I just wanted to purchase a Turbo, that's it, nothing more. The rep attempted to pull up my business account to "check my data plan". I explained again that I only wanted to purchase the phone at full price, that I was not making any changes or additions to our business plan but, went along with it anyway and provided the rep my business phone #... they couldn't locate my account, so we then went through a round-robin of supplying my company name (they still couldn't find our account) and then asking for the last 4 digits of my Social, which I reluctantly gave them but continued to explain that a) it's the TaxID you would need to find the business account, not my personal Social and I do not have that info with me at the moment, and that b) regardless, I do not need my account looked into at all anyway, I am only here to purchase a Turbo at full price. The rep then launched into a spiel about how expensive that phone would be at full price (and even misquoted how much the phone does actually cost) - I indicated that I was fully aware of how much the phone cost and am not concerned with that, I simply want to pay for the phone at full price. The rep then continued with incessant nonsense about the Verizon Edge plan that I would "need" to purchase this phone... AGAIN, I politely shook my head "no thank you; I do not need ANYTHING done to my existing plan - no changes, no new plans, I am not interested in the Edge plan or any other plan to pay for the phone over time, I am simply here to purchase the Turbo and at full price, this is for business so it does not concern me how much it costs, and i've already made myself fully aware of how much it costs - I just want to buy the phone outright, that's all I need today." Frustrated, the young rep said they weren't sure if they could sell us phones without a plan (I politely informed them that they could), and the rep said they'd get someone to help us with that since they did not know how to perform that transaction. No problem, as the rep was clearly new so I fully expected at this point to finally pick up the phone at cost and be on my way... not so much... At this point, the rep returns with a large burly fellow (we will assume here and refer to him as a "manager") who says to me "are you the business owner?" I replied that I was. Manager: "then we will need to take a look at your data plan for this"... again, I politely declined, "no, my data plan is not related to my paying full price for this phone, I'm not even asking you to activate it. I only want to purchase the phone outright and that is all - nothing else is needed here, I just want to buy the phone, regardless of cost". This experience here goes from highly irritating to outright badgering, bullying and belligerency in this store, as this "manager" now unloads the following on me in a highly aggressive tone and manner: "ok, yeah, so you must have the Unlimited Data package, we know, we 'get that' we understand, we do, we get it, and you don't want to change that, I understand, but most people on Unlimited Data plans aren't really aware of how much data they are actually using blah blah blah blah blah" - at this point, I'm not only beyond tired of this rigmarole in this store, I am done with them refusing to honor my only request (full price purchase of a Turbo). In case you didn't notice, it is worth mentioning here that I never once, at any time ever, with anyone in this store, indicated that I had an Unlimited Data package (nor would they know for fact, since they failed at even being able to access my business account). Not once was "Unlimited Data plan" mentioned, by anyone, but this "manager" is not going to let it go. read more
