Outstanding customer service. Kindness is sometimes a lost art. So it was absolutely refreshing to walk into this business and be quickly greeted by Chris. The other night, I dropped a 10lb weight on my phone which bypassed the tempered glass screen protector and shattered the actual screen. I came in at 7:30pm. Chris mentioned the store would close at 8pm but would get to work right away and try to complete the job quickly. He did just that! My screen was fixed and I had a functional phone that night. The next day, I noticed the home button was slightly popped out. I called Cell Phone Doctor/ Chris who recommended I come in. Again- I was in and out in 30 minutes. I know if there was multiple phones being worked on, I wouldn't be in-and-out as quickly; but the haste was greatly appreciated. They do offer a military discount on labor. Note to the store owners- I hope you are taking care of Chris because he deserves to be a highly paid employee! Great customer service! I didn't know if my daughter's iPhone 6 would be repairable but it was! Her screen was cracked with a piece missing on the top left side of the screen. Then the screen was coming completely off from the phone. I took her phone in to the Cell Phone Doctor and got it back in a few hours the same day. I brought my 2 year old android for a screen repair. They "tested" my phone and they said it was working. The touch features worked but no one could hear me for 8/10 phone calls. I returned the phone and they said it was service issues. I have NEVER had service issues with my Verizon phone until the day they attempted to repair my screen. Waste of money and time. Very disappointed in Cell Phone Doctor. I recently was having problems with my iPhone 6 changing screens on it's own when not being touched. I contacted Apple Support and they said it seemed like a faulty screen issue and ask if the screen had been repaired recently. I had a new screen replacement when the screen cracked. Took it into Cell Phone Doctor where they replaced the screen about three months ago. After diagnosing the problems they said it was a bad screen, they said that the warranty was only for 30 days and that I would need to purchase a new screen for another $120. Sorry, not getting it repaired there again when after ever 2 or 3 months to have a new screen put on. Cell Phone Doctor does not stand by their work after 30 days. Buyer, Beware. read more

Verryyyyyyy bAdd experience , went to the store to get iPad fixed (the screen was cracked) they fixed that in 2 days than 1 day later button broke got that fixed again for money than went again because apparently we broke the button again but they actually didn't fix it right so we give it to them and they tell us they can't fix the iPad because there is a software problem so it's gonna cost 300. Very bad and inexperienced workers. I go to get my iPhone 6plus fixed they don't have any screens for it I wait 3 days then they fix my phone but put a piece of foam in it and the touch barly works. Cell Phone Doctor quickly replaced my shattered iPhone5 screen for just over $100. I felt comfortable paying that based on the advertised 30 day warranty prominently displayed in their store. Imagine my dismay when my phone stopped responding to touch on some areas of the screen less than 24 hours after the screen replacement. I was not overly concerned, however, as I believed that they would figure out & fix the problem or refund my money if there was no way to fix the issue. It turns out that the 30 day warranty is a farce. They came up with some excuse about me causing the "damage" to the replacement screen, in spite of the fact that there was no visible damage to the new screen, nor did anything occur to cause damage in the short time that I had the phone between the repair & when the phone stopped working properly (unless putting it in my purse or touching the screen causes damage); both of which the employee suggested as possible causes of the screen malfunction when I attempted to dispute the claim that I had caused the problem. The only possibility, in my mind, is that Cell Phone Doctor installs damaged or inferior quality phone screens or that there was a problem with the installation itself. Whatever the cause, I suggest that you try somewhere else to get your phone screen replaced as it seems that this business preys on the desperation of those who rely so heavily on our phones for daily life & does not have any concern for quality, customer service or repeat business. I am now out the $100+ and the cost of replacing the phone with the new screen that only worked for 24 hours. Use this service at your own risk & do not, as I did, allow the "warranty" fool you into thinking that they will stand behind their product or work. read more

I would score LESS if I could. I went to them yesterday with a shattered screen on my iPhone 7+. First warning was that they wanted me to leave my phone unlocked with them so they could "check its functions" to change the screen. No. You have to shut off the phone to take it apart, you don't need my passcode or it unlocked without me there to check it. They said "ok, come back in about 45 minutes and we should be done". So they changed the screen and 40 minutes later I was back - they turned on the phone and ran through their "checks" in front of me, verifying that it worked. It did (camera, on/off, keyboard) for about two hours. I plugged it in to my charger and the phone starts losing its mind. Literally doing its own thing. Opening apps, typing, calling people, locking itself out and I'm watching it enter "passwords" which locked my screen, and then my emergency info (medical ID if you've ever set that up in an iPhone) and calling and hanging up on those numbers. I restart the phone multiple times before calling them from another phone to tell them what's going on. 10 minutes later I'm in their business again (the screen replacement has a lifetime warranty..... through them...). They say it must be a connection error. They change the screen again. They show the new screen to me- it has a hot spot that I point out. They "fix" it. It works fine for less than 24 hours. Now I can't access my phone at all because the new screen will not register my touch on the keyboard or even a phone stencil for any of the top row of the numbers/letters, which happen to include critical parts for passwords. When version 2 of the screen worked, it was HYPER sensitive at times, but then not register what I wanted or was typing/scrolling. So now I have a completely useless brick that once was a phone- with a bigger hot spot. I paid $116 for them to ruin it. Oh, and they told me after second screen fix that if the issues occurred again, to do a hard reset of the phone because it "might have malware". I did that tonight and NOTHING is different. I can't even put in my iTunes password to complete reset of the phone because it won't register my touch nor a touch pen. I've had this iPhone for awhile. I've been a dedicated iPhone consumer for years. I've NEVER had this issue. Their business is SH*T. MY BROKEN PHONE WORKED BETTER THAN IT DOES AFTER THEY TOUCHED IT!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

Went in for a screen repair and was told they would have to order the part. The way the screen broke it was turning itself on and off constantly and getting very hot. Being that the battery was sealed I just could not pull battery and turn it off. They took it apart for free and sent me on my way. When I got home I only owed under $100.0 bucks on phone so I just got a new phone. However if that was not the case I would of paid them to do the repairs. read more

I recently cracked my iPhone 6 and took it here to get fixed. About a month after I got it back, I noticed my screen was loose. I looked around my phone and notices that there were missing screws, so I took it back. The man told me that there was no possible way the screws could have came out on their own (which they did, considering that the person who fixed my phone might not have done it efficiently.) and told me there was nothing he could do about it. The owner had a rude attitude and suggested to me that he could GLUE MY PHONE SCREEN TOGETHER. ARE YOU SERIOUS? GLUE? This place is a rip off with TERRIBLE customer service. I brought my phone in to Cell Phone Doctor in Gambrills, MD for service today. This was my first time going here for any phone repairs. My phone had lost all of the pictures that I have taken over the last 2 years. I was devastated because it had all pictures of my dogs that had passed away, so needless to say I was devastated when other locations had told me that the pictures were lost forever. I went to several Verizon locations to have them look at my phone (since my phone was purchased at a Verizon store) to see if they can retrieve the pictures, but I was told that it was lost. I even purchased a USB card reader to try to transfer the pictures from the chip to save it, but saw no pictures. I felt very defeated until I saw a sign on a highway advertising Cell Phone Doctor and thought "what did I have to lose". Hugh was the one helping me and I have to say that he is one of the nicest and most patient people that I have ever met in the service industry. It took him about 2 minutes to figure out what was wrong and he was able to retrieve and save all of my pictures. I was beyond thrilled. Hugh even explained why it happened. Since it did not take him too much effort, he did not charge me. Hugh has secured me as a forever customer of Cell Phone Doctor. I love this place!! I'm sure I'm biased because they were able to completely restore my water-damaged iphone6. I took my phone to the sprint store the day after my phone took a quick dip in the tub and stopped working after spending the night in a bag of rice. The sprint employee said my phone was dead and data was lost forever and I began to cry because I foolishly never backed up my phone. I was sure I was going to lose all of my photos forever. The employee reluctantly suggested Cell Phone Doctor but said the odds were slim that they could repair it. I immediately went to the repair shop and they gave me practical expectations and said they would contact me in a day or two. They called me the next morning and told me it was fixed and they didn't even need to replace the screen. Their price was very reasonable considering I would have had to pay a $150 deductible to replace the phone and I would lose all of my data. I was so relieved they were able to revive my phone and data and I will use them again for any future issues. However, I have learned my lesson and will backup my phone daily ; ). read more
