Sadly, I have been a…read moreSpectrum customer for 8 years and not by choice and their service has been the absolute worst. Spectrum claims to provide the most reliable services and this is the furthest from being true. Please stop lying to your customers and actually do something about the horrible services your company provides. We pay $112 per month (not including taxes and other fees Spectrum adds) for service that does not stay connected a full day...this is beyond ridiculous. Furthermore, when technicians are sent to our home, they spew out the same lies we have been hearing for 8 years (two different residences)...we tested the connection and there is an issue with your wiring, we rewired everything and you should have a more reliable connection, or we believe the problem is with the devices that are connected; you should upgrade your devices. Seriously Spectrum, we have the latest electronics throughout our home. Additionally, I have a home-based business and the majority of my equipment needs a reliable internet connection to operate properly....not with this unreliable service. Spectrum, your service (lack of) is causing my business to lose money and causing me unnecessary stress. How are you still in business?

    I initially was very pleased with Charter when I first had it installed, but after about a year or…read moretwo, the cable tv signal started messing up, and my DVR would randomly not record programs I had set the DVR to record. I stayed home three times for service calls, and the first two did not fix the problem, and on the third, they didn't come out because the follow-up number that the customer service rep wrote down for me was wrong, thus they cancelled the appointment because i did not verify the appointment in their stupid system of appointment verification system. And then the problem even got worse with the signal reception, with more missed programs, which is really heartbreaking when you are trying to watch a TV series in sequence. In my repeated calls to customer service attempting to get some resolution to the problem was an ongoing joke, and I think I have spent more time listening to hold music more than any other experience I have had. I have been through the pre-programmed steps with the customer service underlings, I can almost repeat their rehearsed talking points verbatim. The two managers I actually was able to talk to did not help at all. The first was rather unfriendly and unhelpful in general, and the second was very pleasant, but, in the end, had the same results. In summary, I am canceling my cable and going to give AT&T U-verse a try. Maybe they will give a damn about keeping customers. Not sure. But I cannot keep wasting my time with a company that is so incompetent and unresponsive to customer needs.

The only redeeming part of the experience was working with Kaylee, the employee handling my case. She has been consistently professional, knowledgeable, and kind--truly a joy to work with. Her customer service is exceptional, and she clearly takes pride in her work. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired, largely due to the management. When I came to pick up my phone, Kaylee was the only person working in the store. She was on a business call in the back--again, doing everything on her own--while the owner's large, aggressive poodle barked uncontrollably throughout the store. The barking was so disruptive, it made it difficult to speak with Kaylee at times. To make matters worse, I was using an older, disconnected phone and asked the owner (one of the brothers who owns the store) if I could access the Wi-Fi. His curt response was: "There should be a guest network. She will help you with that." There was no guest network. Thankfully, Kaylee went out of her way to connect me to the locked private Wi-Fi. She shouldn't have to constantly clean up after the owners' lack of foresight or consideration. It's clear the owners have little regard for the customer experience--and even less regard for the well-being of their own employee. Kaylee seems to be running the entire operation singlehandedly, which is both unsustainable and unacceptable. I've decided to contact Apple directly to express my concern, because I expect better from a certified Apple partner. The store itself is poorly stocked with Apple products, and it feels like the certification is being used as a badge, not a standard. To be clear: Kaylee is fantastic. But she's the only reason I'm giving this review two stars instead of one. Nortech needs serious management reform. Until that happens, I cannot recommend this location.
