I'd gotten a new phone through T-Mobile, and while their customer service was good, their phone case selection wasn't. I also knew I could get a much better deal at TJMaxx. But TJMaxx surprised me & didn't have any cases for my particular phone. I was nervous having my beautiful new phone without a case, and after checking another store and not being wowed by anything they had, I ran into this Verizon with just 6 minutes to spare before they closed. The gentleman who helped me, Graham, just couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I told him what I needed and he didn't seem hurried at all or stressed out that they were closing soon. He gave me lots of options to choose from and he also said he could throw in a charger and a protective screen cover- I would get all three for $100. Not cheap, but certainly very high-quality and protective, 2 things which are very important to me when I invest in a phone. I used to run a retail store so I hate keeping workers after store closing- I know how annoying that can be when you've had a long day and are just so ready to go home & relax. I quickly paid for my stuff and was about to leave when Graham asked me if I would like him to put the cover and the case on my phone. I was so blown away by his awesome customer service! That he would take time out when he was closing his store & spend a few more minutes on a customer was really above and beyond. He was so nice and accommodating (and even got my protective screen cover on without getting any visible bubbles in it- that's tough to do!) I will definitely go back here for any other phone accessory needs that I have. And you should too! Great service like Graham's definitely needs to be rewarded. read more

The staff here is absolutely great. Helpful and try to make sure you don't have to wait long. HOWEVER... The 1star rating comes from the RIDICULOUS sales pitches. They convince you to buy HORRIBLY overpriced accessories. Stuff you can get the identical item from online shopping options for 70%+ cheaper. They get you to buy it, guarantee it will be returned with no issues if returned within 14-days but when you come back to return it.... 30+ minutes to return two phones cases. Two employees who can't simply return two phone cases...unacceptable. Don't waste your money on the HORRIBLY OVERPRICED accessories. I guarantee you'll be sorry if you need to return them. All you have to do is use your shopping app, look-up the items and see that it is a horrible waste of time and money to purchase from the store. I tried to activate my phone. It's under my mom's name who has a different last name (I'm married). They wouldn't do it because I didn't have documentation (my marriage certificate) to support my name change. I tried to call my mom to verify... they didn't accept it. I went to Springfield, MO's Verizon to activate it. Zero problems. Everyone was nice at this location, but they need to have a company policy everywhere that they stick to. This was my first time in 15 years and eight phones I had to show "documentation of my last name change". Who carries their marriage certificate with them? read more

I wanted to buy a new phone. When I got there, I got 'checked in,' and they guy told me it wouldn't be long. It was a quiet afternoon, only two customers in the store being helped with phone problems, Several other unoccupied employees. After 20 minutes of watching them walk around, talk to each other, doing god knows what but definitely not serving customers, I gave up. I guess their time is a lot more valuable than mine. the charger for my phone fell apart. the wires connecting the charger to the phone were loose. I brought the charger in on Wednesday and the guy helping me tried to fix it, but unfortunately did more harm than good. after that, it was pretty much unusable. I brought it in again today after first going to the location at 57th and Antioch where the person who approached me wouldn't listen to anything I said and insisted that purchasing a new charger for $20 was the only option. I returned to this location and explained the situation to the person helping me. he looked up my account and saw that my phone is still under warranty and had no issue providing me with another charger. he did his job and was friendly and understanding of the situation. this store seems to have the friendliest, most competent people. I won't make the mistake of going to another location first again. read more

If there was an option for 0 stars that's what it would be. they have the worst customer service system in the industry, and they are dishonest! I set up a pre-paid plan for my grandson with authorization to debit my bank card. They began taking out an additional payment for approximately 63.00 per month, that I did not authorize, I don't know where the money went, or who it was for, or if the company just took it. They refuse to refund the money, telling me to go to my bank, my bank did refund 4 months worth but I am still out over $500.00 , - I was told after literally hours on the phone on more than one occasion that they would create a tag for me and start an I investigation. I called back after about 2 weeks or so and was told the tag was cancelled because I authorized it! After having explained the situation to numerous peop, I was referred to the fraud line, where I was immediately hung up on, 2nd attempt got me a recording saying if I suspected fraud I should call my bank, then a hang-up, I do suspect fraud, but it is from Verizon, if others have had this problem, I think we should consider a class action law suit. Amy needs to focus on helping customers and not berating them. She overheard me telling my 82 year old mother that if she remained confused AFTER talking to customer service, and, IF they tried upselling her a plan she neither needs, nor wants, then I would just add her to my plan. At that point, Amy said, "Do you want me to continue to help your mother? I don't appreciate your tone of voice". It escalated from there to voices being raised. Amy needs to be trained to help...not think that the world revolves around her. My mother and I were talking to each other..and no one else. At least my mom got the plan she wanted... read more

Went and stood "in line" for 20 minutes. Not one person greeted us or told us the process to get on the magic list. When I approached a person working there I found out there is a magic list and she is the keeper of it. She asked my name, typed it in to her magic device and walked away. I thought she was going to get someone to help us. Five minutes later I asked when we would get help and she said, "it's a 40 minute wait. We are very short staffed today." Had I known when I walked in that it was a 40 minute wait we would not have stood around for 20 minutes. Get a process people. Greet people when they walk in, tell them they need to get on a magic list and tell them how long the wait is. Period. read more

Overall a very good store. Can you get an inexperienced or below average csr or show up when there's a long wait? Yes, just like anywhere else. Sprint is the worst, and Verizon is the best, and the rest are inbetween, and this Verizon store is as good as any other on average. Are there people who want to do nothing but gripe and whine about driving to 3 different places and spend more in gas money than a new charger costs? Apparently there are, and THOSE PEOPLE are the reason for long waits!!! We've all been behind "that guy/gal." Don't be that person. Between home and work I have 7 cell phones and 3 tablets thru Verizon, and they're more expensive than the others because they're BETTER than the others. I've had everything from bad experiences to amazing experiences with their csr's, so out of 10 trips you'll get a 6, a 10, and eight 8s (even if one of the complainers...er...reviewers claims that they're both unprofessional AND take their job too seriously). I have been a Verizon customer for about a year now, I came to the state line location January 24th around 3 PM. Every single employee in that store lacks profession, takes their job way too serious, and personal. They couldn't seem to tell me when my phone would be unlocked or give me any direction to help myself. Finally a tall blonde slender woman looked at my phone IEMI # and to my surprise tells me my phone is lost or stolen. I try to get help from who looks like head of sales or the manager of the store, but nonetheless they seem completely less than interested to assist a Verizon customer paying 100+ dollars a month for their services. I call customer service at my home, and within minutes they unlock my phone and assure me there is no problem. Completely dumbfounded by the situation I asked the Customer services to please give every person that works at the state line location a one out of five for customer service, training and personal relations. The customer service rep I spoke to could not believe the situation that unfolded moments ago at that location. So if you're going to go to a Verizon store stay the f*** away from this one. For $11 an hour employees, wow they really do their jobs. LOL. The situation could've easily been handled by them looking further into my "hotlined" phone. Customer service said just because your phone is hotline does not mean it is lost or stolen and they should've investigated the problem while I was at the store. Them telling me my phone was lost or stolen, this is a brand new iPhone XR, when in fact it surely wasn't, completely ridiculous. So this is not a one star for Verizon wireless, But a one star for the want to be yuppies working there. Ideally $100 rebate card would really fix this problem, otherwise I'm going to continue until something is done at this location! read more

Worst Verizon store. End of story. Made an appointment? Doesn't matter you still have to wait because of the other people who didn't make an appointment who have been waiting. Then take your appointments off because you don't honor them. Want to switch over to someone else's plan? Nope can't do that unless they're there even though we would told several times it was fine to do that by calling the plan holder. Did he even bother to look up our account? Nope. And for my friend who came in with who's account I am on, he wanted to get the promotion for the iPhone 7 plus that he had just about bought online but didn't want to wait a couple days for shipping. Did the employee even know what the promotion was? Nope again! He knew absolutely nothing about what he was doing. Terrible customer service. Never coming again.
